VSAN Health Plugin Breaks Web Client

I installed the vSAN Health Plugin, and when I went to the web client to finish the host install; I was able to browse the environment but the middle portion is... blank. I uninstalled the plugin and web client functioned as normal. Has anyone else seen this? I plan on opening an SR tomorrow. Thank you, Zach.

"I fixed it by uninstalling the plugin, rebooting vCenter and reinstalling the plugin (reboot vCenter again). I did this twice (uninstall/reinstall/uninstall/reinstall) and rebooting vCenter after each step so I could document and open a SR, but it ended up working after that."
I'm having the same issue as Zach and the suggestion from elerium unfortunately did not have any affect.
I've had an SR opened since last week but they haven't made any headway yet.

VSAN Health Plugin HCL Check

Just got the vSAN Health Plugin installed and when I check the 'Health' tab under vSAN I get a warning for the controller driver version of firmware on my system vs what is on the HCL list.
Server is a Dell R730xd with the PERC H730 mini (which is on the HCL list). The warning seems unwarranted and that the driver name in use doesn't match up with the name listed in the HCL.
In short, typo in the HCL listing causing an unnecessary warning?

IE8 64bit Incapatable with 9.3.3 IR Web client plugin?

Based on problems we are seiing on a few client machines, we strongly suspect that the 64 bit version of IE8 is not compatable with the 9.3.3 IR Web Client Plugin.
Is this a known condition?

Spring Tools Suite and vSphere Web Client plugins

Hi, I am new to this environment. I am developing VMware vSphere Web Client plugins. In the setup for vSphere Web Client plugins, it is indicated that the preferred tools include Spring Tools Suite, which is a derivative of Eclipse. It is an optional component to use the FlashBuilder tool. Optionally, the VMware documentation indicates that you can use Eclipse instead of the Spring Tools Suite, but different setup is needed.
I am posting here (instead of VMware/STS) for the following reasons. I am able to set up the environment without the FlashBuilder tool. I am able to develop Web Client plugins without the FlashBuilder tool. However, I believe the FlashBuilder tool will make development easier. When I try to get the FlashBuilder to load, I no longer can get things to work; I cannot develop Web Client plugins. Lastly, the FlashBuilder tool is the only piece of the puzzle that is a licensed product, and therefore, I will not be able to purchase the product if I cannot get the trial version to work.
FlashBuilder has a plugin installer for Eclipse. I have tried to install the plugin to Spring Tools Suite, and I have tried to install the plugin to a regular version of Eclipse. In either case, the problem I run into is that I cannot locate the VMware files, and doesn't have the virgo service which is present when I did not have the FlashBuilder plugin installed.
Does anyone have any experience or familiarity in getting FlashBuilder to work in this type of setup? Clearly it is doable, but using all of the documentation that I can find online, I cannot get FlashBuilder to work in my environment.

Oh sorry, I thought that I had. I had gone to "contact adobe" and clicked on "customer service". It then told me to "select a product", to which I chose "Flash Builder". I then had to tell it that the question was in regard to "downloading, installing, setup" (of said Flash Builder). From there it told me I can ask the community or call a representative... when I clicked "community" I thought the initial "Flash Builder" setting that I chose would apply to where the question got posted, but it seems it did not.

Not able to access the Oracle I/PM web client.

I have started the Administration server and the Oracle I/PM Managed Server. Now I'm trying to access the Oracle I/PM web client at this URL: http://hostname:16000/imaging. But when I hit this URL, the following error comes up:
Error 404--Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

I have checked that as well, it is showing the IPM_server in running mode.
Also it doesn't show any deployment failure in the command line. Here is what it shows:

Long time to start Java Web Client (Analyzer 6.2.1)??

Does anyone know why Analyzer(6.2.1) takes a long time to start Java Web Client. Sometime it's even take more than 5 minutes. I think it is the Java Plug-in starting on the client computer. Any solution?

The key to Analyzer 6.2.1 running correctly is the version of Sun Java Plugin. The ideal version (most optimal) is 1.3.0_02.Secondary to this if Analyzer performs OK once you are logged in then it could be down to the speed of your connection. The applet compiles at runtime (unlike Analyzer 5 which was a one time download). Hyperion IR : Getting out of memory error while fetching data for whole year through web client (wrokspace)

Hi,
While fetching data though IR wen client from workspace for a year(all 12 months) I am getting error as ("Out of Memory .Advice : Close other applications or windows and try again").
If I am trying same through IR studio it does not give any output and show me same repoting front page.
If i am selecting periods till 8 months it is giving the required data in both IR web client and IR studio.
Could you please suggest how can we resolve this issue.

Issue Cause :
Sometimes this is due to excessive data which brings the size of the BQY file up around one gigabyte uncompressed in size (for processing may take twice as actual RAM, plus the memory space space for the plugin, and the typical memory limit on a 32-bit system is 2 gigabytes).
Solution :
To avoid excessive BQY size exceeding memory availability:
Ensure that your computer has at least 2Gb of free RAM before he runs IR Studio.
Put a limit to the number of rows that can be pulled down: Right click on Request label of Query section and put a value in Return First xxx Rows (and check the check box).
Do not pull down more than 750 MB of data (remember it may be duplicated while processing).
Place limits or aggregations in Query section (as opposed to Result section) to limit data entering the BQY.

IC web client : No SLA and Questionnare sections in Complaint View

In IC webclient,IC_AGENT business role, I am unable to see SLA and Questionnare sections in complaint view.
But if i login through DEFAULT business role and go to complaint view i can see both the sections.
When i went throught the UI configure tool,i saw that the IC web client UI components are different than the normal default UI components for complaint.
So can anybody let me know how to enable these section in IC webclient ?
Do we need to do UI customization here ?

1. In MS word, I put the place holders like <BUS1006-LINE0> and in properties of the field - selected as merge field.
2. Then implemented BADI and put break point in BADI.
3. When in FAX view, I selected word doc template with check box, at this point, the process stops in BADI and here i am seeing value for this variable.
4. Then after clicking on the word document, one more window opens with template information , but it is showing <BUS1006-LINE0>.
Would you please suggest, why the values are not passed to MS word.
Or would you please explain briefly what you have done to send contact person information to MS word

Is there any official documentation of how to install Hyperion Interactive Reporting WEB Client in Linux environments ?
I checked Oracle Documentation and I found information about the HIR Desktop Client. But not about the web client.
Note: I need official documentation because of a discussion with security admins.

The information required to automate (silent) the Insight/Plugin Installation is as follows:
Before going for the Silent Installation of 11.1.1.3 IR Web Client, we need create a Response File and moved the response file to Installer location to automate the Install.
Please follow the below procedure to accomplish the same:
1. Record a response file use the command "setup /ieinstall -r" (or "setup /ff install -r" if you use Firefox).
2. The above command will then create a setup.iss file in the <C:\Windows> directory.
3. Then move that <C:\Windows\Setup.iss> file to the Insight folder, so to resides with the setup.exe.
4. Then to launch the silent installation, use the command "setup /ieinstall -s" and it will use the options you choose when creating the response file.
5. You can create a batch file with the command line script as mentioned in Step 4 and keep in the same folder. So that the end user can use the same to automate the install.

FRM-92150 : Web Client Version too new

Getting this error only for a specific machine (desktop client ) and specifc instance.
There is no generic issue.
We have tried below options
1) cleaning registry and download jav plugin
2) clear java cache.
3) deinstall and reinstall java plugin.

Possible to integrate Serena VM (PVCS) web client with LV project?

My company is using a web based client Serena VM (PVCS) for SCC. Is there any way to integrate this with LV (2009 developer suite) or does PVCS have to reside locally on my PC? Obviously nothing shows up whenI try to cofigure SCC in LV.

LabVIEW's source control integration works via the Microsoft SCC Interface. Typically, SCC providers ship suport for third-party IDE's (such as Visual Studio) as a plugin or as part of the normal installation. This support typically allows LabVIEW to interface with the SCC provider. I would check to see if this support is available. I wouldn't think it would be part of PCVS's web client, so you'd have to contact Serena to see where you can get this. I know in the past this support existed since LabVIEW was tested against PVCS (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/41FBD516D8BC1DED862576AF007061B2).

I installed the plugin into vCenter and then used Update Manager to install the VIBs to the hosts. All seemed to go well, but the UI says status is Unknown (at least one host is not connected.) and I get the above from RVC.
Is there another step? Is it as simple as clicking enable in the UI now that the VIBs have been installed? Thank you, Zach.

What should happen is the following:
1. Use VUM to install the health VIB again.
2. After the cluster is remediated successfully, a "retry" button should be visible on the health page.
3. Click retry button on the health page.
4. The install task will sync the VIB status (should finish in just a few minutes)
5. The status of health service turns into ‘Enabled’.
Let me know if this is what happens.

Badi is not getting called in IC Web client in Quality server

Hi Experts,
I have implemented a badi CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACT which determines contract based on component no. in complaints.
My badi is working fine in development server in IC web client but in Quality server the badi is not getting called in IC Web client.
The badi is active in both the servers.
Please let me know what configurations to look into.

Hi,
Did you try to debug till the point where the BADI is supposed to get called? You may set a break-point in your Dev system to check the call stack and based on that set break-points in your QA system and see why this is not getting called?
Also, check all the implementations of the BADI got transported to the QA system. Check if there is any filter on that badi.

Faxeditor view in IC web client

Hi,
I am working in IC web client 5.0. The requirement is to display texts from interaction record in fax editor. In standard navigation bar, you will find Fax icon and if you click you will see the view "faxeditor" of crm_ic application. The view contains an editor for creating and changing the data.
The current requirement is to get the data from interaction record and go to the fax view, and editor needs to display details like contact person no etc of interaction record.
Would you please suggest, what class or methods need to be look at for this requirement or what will be the better approach.

I updated to 20.0 and now my web client I use to monitor my home security (My-Q see) no longer works. What do I need to do.

My remote monitoring for my security ( My-Q see) worked fine until I updated to 20.0. Now Firefox pops up asking me to install web plug in kit. when I do, it still does not work even after restart.

I have the same problem with Firefox 20.0 and 20.0.1 .
I have tried changing various Firefox settings with no luck.
In Firefox version 19.x I was able to access the Q-See application with its native plug-in which is downloaded from the Q-See DVR, it didn't require any additional plug-in's.
