VSAN Isolation due to domain manager other side not responding

I am trying to configure VE port between Cisco nexus 7K and 5K switches but the vfc is not operational as VSAN isolation.
I have bind the VSAN 100 to VLAN 100 and add vfc into vsan database, but the VSAN 100 is still operational down

Well, it wasn't a DNS issue, it was a routing issue that affected ISP customers in half of the country. https://community.shaw.ca/thread/9284?start=0&tstart=0
I can confirm that iTunes will now open and is functional. It seems that if the application can't access some internet resource immediately when it launches it will immediately lock up and never come back! No offline mode??!?!

  • Two Windows 7 accounts on one pc, one firefox works fine, the other fixefox not responding.

We have 2 WIndows 7 accounts on one pc. On the account my wife uses, she is always having problems with firefox that I never have.
Recently it was shrinking fonts in emails.
Now, she gets Firefox not responding on start up. Can't reset settings because I can't get control of the menu in firefox while it is spinning.
    What to do, eh?

It may also be a local problem with some other programs on her account. I would run both an antivirus (Windows Security Essentials, Kaspersky, etc) and an anti-malware (Malwarebytes) to discount those possibilities, then use a Task Manager window (ctr-alt-del or right click the taskbar) to monitor resource usage.
It's also possible she accidentally installed a lot of taskbars which are draining resources and modifying behavior. Once you get into the browser using Guig2's method (above), look at your addons and plugins, use a search engine to figure out what they do, and disable what you're not using. You may need to use Add/Remove programs as well.

  • Adobe application manager update server not responding

I have installed the Creative Suite 6 Master Collection from CDs,
and activated the license. Now when I run Photoshop > Help >
Updates, the Adobe Application Manager runs, but gives the error
message "The update server is not responding. The server might be
offline temporarily, or the Internet or firewal settings may be
    incorrect".
Acrobat and Lightroom both updated no problem. I waited a day, but
    the problem persists. Any thoughts?

I found the answer in another post (https://forums.adobe.com/message/4484225#4484225):
Go to creative.adobe.com, and download PhotoShop CC
This downloads, installs, and runs Creative Cloud
As soon as it comes up running, cancel the download of PS CC
All of the CS 6 apps are ready to update

  • Managed Server is not responding

    Hi All,
I have an application (UCM 11g 11.1.1.5) running on WLS (10.3.5) like one Admin Server and 2 managed servers (UCM,IBR). Yesterday when i tried to access the application, its not responding. I am not getting error, waited for around 15 mints.I tried to open Admin console also, but it was also same as application. When i checked in backend using ps -ef|grep java, both servers are running. I tried in different browsers, no success. Then i killed the 2 servers from back end. After that, i am able to open Admin console. Restarted those 2 managed servers, got working.
Can you please tell me why this happened? i was not getting any error from front end. I checked particular server logs, i did not see any error.
Please let me any suggestion on this.
    Thanks,
    Manikandan

As I know, There is performance BUG in Weblogic 10.3.x versions, and there are around 3 patches to update to fix this.
if you can try by raising SR, it would be helpfull.

  • Other members not responding when a clustered member is not reachable

We have an product that uses Coherence 3.3 we have cluster 5 members.
We are finding that if for whatever reason a cluster member is down or unresponsive (eg doing a garbage collection) the other members are then trying to do some work to compensate, which leaves them not responding to requests. The nodes have been configured in a unicast mode so each node has been specified in the configuration.
    Examples we've seen:
    1) member 3 does a stop the world gc all other members pause - we see the following in the logs on all other members
    2009-12-31 00:20:18.291 Oracle Coherence EE 3.3/387 <Warning> (thread=PacketPublisher, member=6): Experienced a 1982 ms communication delay (probable remote GC) with Member(Id=1, Timestamp=2009-12-30 16:01:26.85, Address=172.29.4.16:8090, MachineId=46352, Location=process:27758@and-msg4); 30 packets rescheduled, PauseRate=0.0030, Threshold=901
In this instance we had a pause of 19 seconds.
Can we configure the nodes to not wait if communication to member is not possible. How?
    2) Take a single node down during the day (off peak hours) The other members start logging a lot of coherence debugging which I've been told not to worry about, but during this period the applicatiokn is not processing requests and causes timeout to the calling servers.
When a member is removed from the cluster what are the other nodes doing (redistributing cache?)? How can we minimise the fallout from this so that we can handle this more gracefully.
I would be grateful for any help and any useful links to documentation. It may well be that our configuration is incorrect as we leave most things as the default values. I could do with some pointers on where to start looking and which parameters to tweak as there seem to be quite a few.

What can we do to minimise this?
    Edited by: user12406699 on 04-Jan-2010 07:31

Hi there thank you for the suggestions.
    1) I understand that the pause during the gc will be helped by ensuring they are as short as possible. I have tinkered with the CMS parameters and I think our old was becoming very fragmented and therefore hitting the point where a stop the world occurred. I have limited the number of threads and increased the heap space. After a couple of days we are seeing that the concurrent garbage collector is doing work more frequently but with no stop the worlds. So I think issue 1 has will be resolved by this.
    2) This issue still exists. When we stop tomcat server for one of the nodes we see a pause and lots of debug messages from coherence during this time the other node are no longer processing requests as we can see the number of running requests increase and the time to respond increases as well across the node. Because of the amount of traffic we are recieving our clients soon timeout.
    Going over the sugestions
    a) graceful shutdown of the cluster node
How? Currently we stop traffic being driven to the node and then stop tomcat. Is there a way to also gracefully stop node being apart of the cluster??
    b) Set <timeout-milliseconds>
I don't quite understand the documentation for this setting
    "Default value is 60000.
Note: For production use, the recommended value is the greater of 60000 and two times the maximum expected full GC duration."
So we will be currently using the default. To me 60 seconds sounds very high for a production timeout which makes me think that this is not what I had in mind. Is there anything in the configuartion that may help?

  • ITunes and other applications "not responding" after impoting CD's

Hi....After I import songs from a my CD collection into into my iTunes (version 7.02) library, many applications, including iTunes, freeze up and are "not responding", and I'm forced to CTRL-ALT-DEL to "end task" on the unresponsive applications. For example, if I have my AOL browser running, I can no longer open new web pages after importing a CD on iTunes. Also, after closing the applications (via CTRL-ALT-DEL), nothing happens when I double click on them again to reopen the programs (again, including itunes itself). To be able to run the programs again I have to either restart the computer or log off my user ID and log back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Dell Dimension   Windows XP   Pentium 4 - 2.52 GHz, 768 MB of RAM

I am having similar problem. After I imported songs
from CD and exit itunes, I try to log off and my
computer freezes up. It doesn't log off, screen goes
    black. I can't do anything, not even ctr-alt-del. I
have to push button to power off. Does anyone know
    whats going on? Help
Ok, I'm embarrassed that I didn't try this fix before posting my initial question, as any sane Windows user should know to try this troubleshoot early on for many Windows problems: Running the disk defragmenter solved the problem of my PC feezing after I imported a CD into iTunes. Katikat..I'm not sure how close your issue is to the problem I was having, but I suugest trying it if you haven't already. If you've never run the disk defrag it's easy: START -- All Programs -- Accessories -- System Tools -- Disk Defragmenter, then choose your hard drive(s). Depending on how much stuff is on your hard drive and how long it's been since you last defrag, this can take anywhere from 10 minutes to over an hour. Not sure if this will help with your problem, but worth a try. Best of luck. Piachet

  • Data Guard Manager GUI does not respond

    Hello,
I configured a standby datase environment using the Data Guard(9.0.1). Both, the primary and standby are 9.0.1
Few days ago, the standby crashed and i was getting an Ora-12500 error. To solve that error i had to recreate the oracle instance. After that, the primary established connection to the standby and shipped the logs which were applied by the stand. But when i connect to the Data Guard Manager GUI and click on my data guard configuration, the cursor shows up and keep running on the screen indicating that the DGMGUI is working on the background. I left DGMGUI running overnigth but it did not finished. I don't know what is the problem. Any hint ?
    Thanks a lot.

You probably want to post this in the General Database forum.

My eldest son gave my youngest son his ipod. He locked it with a passcode, couldn't remember and now it is disabled. Will not work trying to get it in recovery/restore mode. Original synced computer not around anymore, either is eldest. Not worried about losing data as my young son can have it now. What else can I try?? I follow the steps and it still says ipod is disabled on ipod screen. iTunes keeps saying it needs passcode.....

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • Cisco fibre channel domain manager "fast start" feature

    Hi there:
    I'm trying to understand the
cisco fibre channel domain manager "fast start" feature
    but I can't
    Manual say:
    About Domain Manager Fast Restart
As of Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 3.0(2), when a principal link fails, the domain manager must select a new principal link. By default, the domain manager starts a build fabric (BF) phase, followed by a principal switch selection phase. Both of these phases involve all the switches in the VSAN and together take at least 15 seconds to complete. To reduce the time required for the domain manager to select a new principal link, you can enable the domain manager fast restart feature.
When fast restart is enabled and a backup link is available, the domain manager needs only a few milliseconds to select a new principal link to replace the one that failed. Also, the reconfiguration required to select the new principal link only affects the two switches that are directly attached to the failed link, not the entire VSAN. When a backup link is not available, the domain manager reverts to the default behavior and starts a BF phase, followed by a principal switch selection phase. The fast restart feature can be used in any interoperability mode.
    Questions:
Those links are not a Port channel, aren't they?
If those links would form a port channel then it is not need the fast restart feature?
In case of there are not a backup link, should be another fabric path and host should conmute because multipath?
Then, there are very specific scenarios where Fast Restart feature apply, aren't they?
Thank you in advance for your comments
    Al

Based on your debug you are getting "Cause No. 38 - network out of order."
You may want to bind SIP to an interface that the IP address is defined which Lync points to.

The change is made - AD group have upgraded Activer Directory server to 2012 R2
Please help as the Production CRM is not working for other domain user.

We have Activer Directory Structure like below.
    One Root Domain says A
and there are multiple child domain like B,C,D etc...
B,C and D are all in same level, they are child of A domain.
There are two way transitive trusts between A and all the child Domain.
But there is no trust in between B and C and so on.
Our CRM server is in B domain and B domain's user can access CRM but users of Domain C,D and so on can not access CRM.

  • Interface flapping and always shows up/up even other side is shutdown

Hi, there, I have a interface flapping issue in my network. 2 Cat3560 is connected through 2 trunk port configured with port-channel. When I shutdown one of port in Vlan100, other 2 ports in the same vlan will flap going up and down and OSPF will lose the neighbor. One thing I notice that is when I shutdown the switch port, on the other side of router, the L1-L2 is still up/up. I think it should be up/down. I have a keepalive setting on the router interface to 1800. Any body can give me some hints here to troubleshoot?

    =====================
When I shutdown interface gig 0/2, interface gig0/3 and gig0/4 will go down as well and come back online after a while.
    Thanks for your help.

Your question is really missing a BUNCH of details, but I will take a stab at it:
    1) Why on earth do you have a keepalive set to 1800 seconds on the router?
    2) Your discussion and config above only talks about qty 2 c3560 switches. Where is the router in this topology?
    3) You are going against several Cisco best practices here with your trunk ports:
    a) I would never config a port-channel as mode 'on' because the switches will ignore any errors on the ports that would not keep the channel stable because you have configured them to hard set on. ALWAYS set the port channel to mode 'desirable silent'. The config needs to match on both ends of the link.
    b) I would never config a port as a trunk mode 'on' without also running UDLD. It appears that your 2-port port-channel trunk above is using copper ports. You MUST enable UDLD on the copper gigabit ports manually (UDLD is enable by default on fiber gigabit ports). You may need to 'udld enable' globally on the switch depending on the IOS version. Obviously, as above, the same config needs to be done on both switches.
    4) The log message that you get when you say ports g0/3 and g0/4 go down, is that for just VLAN 100 or are they line-protocol messages?
    5) When port g0/2 goes down, are there any other ports in VLAN 100 still up?
    6) What are the results of the following commands:
    show int g0/3 switchport
    show spanning-tree summary
    show spanning-tree int po1
    show spanning-tree int g0/2
    show spanning-tree int g0/3
    show spanning-tree int g0/4
    show spanning-tree vlan 100
    show spanning-tree vlan 600
    show int status
    show etherchannel summary
    show etherchannel detail
    show int trunk mod 0
Post more details and I'll try to help...
