Vulnerabilities reported in sharepoint 2010 from IBM App Scan - Blind SQL Injection
Hi - We have been reportecd the following vulnetabilities in sharepoint 2010 by IBM App scan tool. We have verified that all latest security patches are installed in the server. The sharepoint implementation is only out-of-the-box. We ahve installed the
product and created a site collection with windows authentication - without any customization. Can someone pls let us nkow what is the security patch that is required - or any other fix applicable?

Problem running SSRS report on SharePoint 2010 - report renders rendomly
I have an SSRS master report that contains about 30 sub-reports. These reports are deployed to SharePoint 2010 server. Per my understanding these reports run independently of Reporting Server (execute directly from the cube/database).
It appears that this master report executes for about 10 minutes and then returns a blank page for most requests. Seldom it returns the master report consisting 30 sub-reports. I have checked Report Server logs using the following query and it shows no trace.
Use ReportServer
select * from ExecutionLog3 order by TimeStart DESC
I set SharePoint 2010 logging to the lowest level and reviewed the log for the run-time of the report. This log shows that the report and sub reports are being executed, however it does not provide any significant error information. Follows a sample of what
SharePoint log contains for single sub-report execution.

I have tried running reports on IE 8, IE 9, Chrome and on multiple systems. This random behavior does not change across browsers or machines. Report is rendered for one out of 10 requests (if at all).
Has someone experienced this problem? I have been spending a lot of time just to see the report output of the master. Unfortunately my SharePoint reports use shared data-sets and it is not possible to run master from Visual Studio 2008 IDE as well.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Palak ModyHi Kenny,
Thank you for your question.
From your description, you can to move the parameter pane from right to the top in the SharePoint site, right? I am afraid this cannot be done in SQL Server 2008R2 SSRS reports on SharePoint 2010 integrated mode. And this is a know issue which you can see:http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/545893/allow-ssrs-parameter-panel-to-be-formatted
Thank you for your understanding.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to show Access reports in SharePoint 2010.
We can publish the Access Reports to SharePoint 2010 via Access Services, the following links for your reference:

Access SharePoint 2010 from iPad/iPhone
Hi All,
i am trying to access SharePoint 2010 sites from my iPad. is it possible to configure with in the server itself or i need to buy third party application for that? Any comment or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!SharePoint 2010 is not very friendly on an iPad, in my experience.
Accessing SharePoint via a browser on the iPad doesn't work well. There is often a problem with "double authentication" requests. Single sign-on, in general, doesn't work well on the iPad.
The way to go is definitely with third party apps. One that I have used to great effect (and they're not paying me to say so) is Collogo Briefcase:
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/colligo-briefcase-pro-sharepoint/id496728596?mt=8 (there is a lite version available too).
As an aside, SP2010 doesn't even know about iPads (no entry in OOTB compat.browser file -- though you can add one yourself). SP2010 was built before iPads were so ubiquitous.
x
If you do go with third party apps I really have had good luck with
SharePlus*.
*I have no affiliation with SharePlus. I am just a user of the application.

Getting error while running SSRS report in SharePoint 2010

Message: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 503

Thanks,
ManjunathHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you get error while running SSRS reports.
Basically, If the Request Management service is enabled, it manages all incoming requests by evaluating logic rules against the user requests in order to determine what\which action to take and which machine or machines (targets) in the farm should handle
the request.
By default the Request time out value for Request Management service are as follows,
RequestTimeout : 00:01:40
RequestExecutionTimeout : 01:00:00
So the error throws from RM service for those reports who take more than 1 minute to generate the report.
To solve this issue, we can stop the Request Management service.
Or increase the time out
value by making use of following PowerShell script.
$waUrl = "URLofWEbApp"
$wa = Get-SPWebApplication $waUrl
$rmSettings = $wa | Get-SPRequestManagementSettings
$req=$wa.RequestManagementSettings
$timeout2= New-TimeSpan -minutes 5
Sreq.Requesttimeout=$timeout2
$req.update()
For more information:

Hi,
I was working with SharePoint 2010 in one of my Virtual machines. Now that the lease for my Virtual Machine is going to expire, I want to shift the entire contents of the project to another machine (local) with SharePoint 2010. Also, I want the pages
in the other machine to be editable.
How can I copy the solution files to the other machine? And I want the exact path where the files are located, so that I can shift them to the other machine.
Thanks in advance....that's not a good approach.
Deploying customisations can be as simple as files being copied onto the file system. Most of the time however there is a lot more happening behind the scenes and simply copying the files won't work.
Also that is assuming that you mean solutions rather than the pages themselves (or the contents of document libraries) in which case you want to copy databases, not just files.
SharePoint isn't a simple thing to move, you may need to look at this a bit harder.
