Vulnerability fixed by iOS 7.0.6

iPhone 4s IOS 7.0.6
ok so from what I'm reading the vulnerability supposedly fixed by iOS 7.0.6 also included the possibility of mlaware being injected into the phone?
So all the while people are saying iPhones cant be infected, they inded could have been?
Just trying to understand

Whether malware could actually be installed is open to debate, but probably not. The largest risk is having email and other SSL traffic intercepted. A fix was definitely needed, but the tech press is blowing this a bit out of proportion. Even with this vulnerability, and iOs device would still be more secure than most Android and windows devices.

  • When is apple going to fix the ios 8.0 ?

Since the release of ios 8.0 , the people was thinking that the ios 8.0 was going to have minor bugs , but the bugs are in everywere , when we scroll to the other page somethimes the apps dont appear , somethimes my ipad air reboot itself , we are needing the fix of ios , please apple answer this !!

Lots of issues from iOS 8 update.  On my iPad 4, Safari is unstable at best, apps close upon opening, no uploading of photos to websites, unable to print from my eprinter from some apps, email stalls but speed tests for the most part are ok.
On my iPhone 5:  Email showing almost 20,000 emails and yet there are no emails.  Voice mail showing messages yet there are no voice messages.
I have an iPhone 6 on order - due for delivery around Oct. 3rd and now I'm thinking about canceling my order.  I have tried several of the "quick fixes" I've read here with no results.  It is what it is until Apple fixes the problem.  I'm willing to accept bugs upon the launch of an updated OS but Apple has to know it is becoming tiresome.  I have always thought Apple had the superior product on the market whether it be iphones, iOS devices or computers and I still feel this way and I'll try to hold off judgement for now in the hopes we get a fix soon.
BTW, I've seen Fox News broadcasting that the new iOS 8 update has issues affecting a lot of users.  Hopefully, Apple is paying attention to it's consumers!

Nah... there simply is not iOS 6 Wi-Fi problem with the 4S.  I have not experienced any issues and neither has anyone else I know with iPhones.
User's like yourself really should drop the attitude and try some basic troubleshooting.

IS Apple working on bug fixes for IOS 8.0.2? It is terrible on IPad2, wish I had NOT updated!

Since "upgrading" to iOS8.x my IPad2 is so slow and buggy.  If the old hardware can't handle the new iOS, Apple should say so.

  • Iphone in recovery mode after update to bug fix on IOS 7

Iphone 4 has gone into recovery mode after updating a bug fix on IOS 7. Is there any way to fix it without having to restore?

    No.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
    1. Turn off device
    2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
    3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to device
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
    5. Release the Home button
    6. Open iTune
    7. You should see "iTunes has detected the device in recovery mode"
    8. Use iTune to restore device
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your device

  • How come they still haven't fixed the ios 6 wifi problem on ios 6.0.1 making me mad -.-

I know apple or the tech support doesn't read this but come on tell them to fix the wifi problem that started from ios 6 and still continuing to ios 6.0.1. I already gave them another feedback like 5 days ago. I really don't want to reconnect to my wifi everytime. I already did everything possibly to fix my wifi problem. I know its IOS 6.0.1 because it started with ios 6 and still not fixed by apple update to 6.0.1.
I have a very limit data plan of 300 MB on at&t and I don't want to go over so I rely on my wifi most of the time.

Maybe you just lucked out but both my devices running ios 6.0.1 have wifi problems shutting of at random times during sleep. I know you guys will say when its plugged in it doesn't lose wifi true but I never remember having this problem in the previous ios verison from ios 4 to 5(On my Iphone 4, and from my Iphone 4s from IOS 5) until I updated both devices to ios 6  or even when I had a iTouch 3rd gen long time ago I never remember it shutting of my wifi. I am telling you this never happened before IOS 6 where I need to leave it plugged in just to have my wifi during wake up.

I thought I believed my iPhone 4 with iOS5.0 would not disconnect during sleep mode. However, I was wrong. What I did was to ping the IP addresses on my iPhone 4 (iOS5) and iPhone 5 (iOS 6 then, and iOS6.0.1 now) when they were in sleep mode. Very true that there were timed-out on both devices. Once I woke them up, ping went thru. I did a scan on my home network using my iPad while the other 2 phones were in sleep mode, I was not able to see them.
I thought my iPhone4 did not disconnect too. But again, I think the reconnecting to wifi on iOS 5 is SO MUCH quicker than on iOS6 so user would think there was never a disconnect.

  • Are the delays in iMessage fixed in IOS 7.1 ?

For quite some time there are discussions about delays in iMessages.
For me (iPhone 4S, IOS 7.0.4) iMessages started to show huge (up to 45 minutes)
delays in communication with exactly one person (iPhone 4S).
The problems suddenly showed up and were not related with an IOS upgrade or the like.
I had a temporary fix (cleaning memory).
    But the problem is back.
When the messages arrive with their significant delay, they carry the time-stamp of the
send time, but get listed at the time they arrive
(so, if there is a message dated 10:10 and a message that was sent at 9:50
arrives at 10:15, it shows up after the 10:10 but w time-stamp 9:50)
I am texting to a number of phones with different IOS and with same or different carriers.
But only w one user this problem appears to show up (same on other side).
There are times when delivery is lightning fast for an hour or so - but I can't make
out any regularities (times of day).
Is there a fix for this problem in IOS 7.1.?
The discussion boards are full with comments of users experiencing the same problem,
    worldwide and independent of carrier.
    Sincerely,
    ADAM_BERLIN

  • My Iphone 4 asked to update a fix to IOS 7 and it is completely locked the only thing on the screen is an apple and it will not mayy up to my Itunes???

I have an Iphone 4 just recently updated to IOS7 and was successful used all this past week. At aroun midnight my phone aske to update IOS software a fix to bugs on the sofware. Since then my phone has been locked up just showing an apple on the display and it will not marry up to itunes????

All of Apple's servers...including the activation servers are pretty much flooded with users like you doing the same thing. Be patient and keep at it...or wait till the traffic to them has decreased and then try again. Coming back to it tomorrow  (if that's a viable option for you) will likely increase your chances of not having issues.

  • Just paid $55.00 to get e-mail fixed after IOS download , how to get money back from Apple?

After IOS download 2weeks ago, I could not send any mail. Do not have warranty, it is 13 months old.  I paid a computer expert $55.00 to fix it.  I think Apple should give me an ITunes card worth that amount.  what do you think?

I think you are responsible for the $55. It was your choice to pay someone. A software glitch is NOT covered by any warranty, period.

  • Why won't apple acknowledge and fix the IOS 5 update encryption bug?

When updating to IOS5 and saving a backup, if you intentionally do not encrypt the backup, the software will do it for you against your will without letting you know.  The source for the assigned against your will and knowledge password for that backup isn't clear and many people never figure out what it is.  Clearly a lot of people on line and multiple people I know have come across this bug in updating their IOS to version 5 and many have lost everything on their IPADs and IPhones.  Losing one's backup of irreplaceable pictures and files etc.... is just a major loss and I spent hours on the phone with a service agent who verified it is a frequent problem but that there is no acknowledgement of it.
Why is this still happening and why isn't the bug fixed considering that it is so devastating for users who can't figure out the assigned password.  It happened to me months ago, it happened to my brother 2 weeks ago and to the wife of an office mate of mine yesterday.  Trying every password ever known to you doesn't always work.
I'm seriously for the first time in my entire 20 years of exclusively owning Apple computer products thinking about switching to an Android instead.  Apple has failed me here and without effort to curb the problem with a fix, (this has been posted previously on this support community website by others for months now) it seems endemic of front door salesmanship without concern for the customer coming back for help with the product.  I give Apple it's first F.
How can I restore from an encrypted backup I didn't encrypt?

Here are an example of just a few threads pulled in 20seconds with multiple users in ech thread chiming in about their similar problem.
