Question for VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1 capabilities

I am trying to receive some feedback before purchasing the hardware....
I have a remote location connected to my data LAN via an Ethernet Private Line. On both ends I have 2911 routers with 15.2 OS version. I would like to install a voice card (VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1) in both routers and connect also the voice switches (ALCATEL 4400) over the same WAN interface (Ethernet Private Line) as the data connection in order the give up the additional leased E1 that I have currently for the PABX PRI inter-node link between the same locations. Alcatel is using the ABC-F proprietary protocol over the PRI connection. The Alcatel board used is PRA-2.
Is this going to work? Has anyone tried a similar configuration? Did you experienced any issues?

ASA5510 base config for guest wireless network

Hello
I am partitioning off my guest wireless traffic out a new connection.
I have a WISM and a 5508 controller. The WISM will anchor the subnets to the specific controller.
AP - WISM - 5508 - FW - Cable link - Internet
Can anyone assist in implementing a base config so only traffic originating inside can get out, nothing from outside getting in.
The external link will be via cable and I want to configure their static on my outside int,
Where would be the best place to ratelimit the subnet(s)?

These are router configurations and would not work on the ASA. To do this the ACL config would need to look like this:
access-list LAN extended permit ip 172.16.16.0 255.255.255.0 any eq 80
access-list LAN extended permit ip 172.16.16.0 255.255.255.0 any eq 443
access-group LAN in interface inside
Keep in mind that you can change the ACL name (LAN) to anything you want it to be. You could apply the ACL in the outbound direction but this is very unusual to do on the ASA and I do not suggest doing it unless you have a specific reason for doing so.
Also, to make sure this subnet has no access to inside services, what would be needed?
Not exactly sure where you are going with this. Is this subnet also located on the inside interface? or on a different interface?
If it is located on a different interface, then all you have to do is either give it a lower security level than that of the inside interface (lets say 90 for example), or add an ACL that denies traffic to the inside network subnet and then under that rule have an entery permitting traffic to any.
Keep in mind that the ACLs are checked top to bottom and there is an implicit deny any rule at the bottom of all ACLs. If this ASA is version 8.3 or higher the implicit deny can be seen in the global ACL in the ASDM.

the VWIC2 and VWIC 3 compatible for connect to gather?

Hi, the VWIC (any type) is the right product, will do exactly what you need (called channelized interface), and eliminates the need for an external unit and tens of cables.
E1 has 31 channels and that is the max. number of channel-groups that you can configure per port.

MS DSC Base Config Vs Role Based Config

Hello -
I have been working on a project with the following goal:
(1) automated deployment of windows servers ( Physical and Virts on Hyper-V) [This is achieved from custom code]
(2) once the server has been deployed and joined to the domain, I would like DSC to :
(2.1) apply a base config which is a standard for all windows servers regardless of its role
(2.2) apply role specific config - example if its a DHCP/File/Domain controller
Now if you use the Pull server method, every client has a LCM which has a config ID to download from the Pull server. I can automate the process to create base config for each GUID ( client) but that's a nightmare to manage.
Is there a way I can just have two config files on my Push server ? say one called base and another for DHCP? Instead of having the same DHCP/Base config file for each client. We have 10,000 + servers which would mean my MOF files will be 10,000.
Let me know if my question makes sense.

Is it doable? Yes. Is this something that you can do literally right now out of the box? No.
Microsoft always said the DSC is a platform, not a solution. Jeffrey Snover (the father of PowerShell) himself said that this is what he would expect a custom solution to do (to be created most likely by someone outside of Microsoft, maybe integrated into
the next version of SCCM?), but not something that DSC as a platform does.
So in short it's not doable now, but if you have enough time on your hands, want to create a solution for it and feel like sharing I'm sure the community would really appreciate it :D

you have to dig deeper.
An idea is this one:
The red marked word is containing the unit - in a coded way. Somewhere in the LV help you can find the description of this coding (I remember a chapter on memory representations of all LV datatypes...). (There surely is an easier or better way - but the example is done quic&dirty.)
You can also format the number into a string and analyze the unit here...

Alternative formula for condition base value in cross-application

Hi,
I need inputs regarding an issue as:-
In "TAXINJ" Tax pricing procedure, for a ZXXX excise related condition type the alternate condition base value (Alternative formula for condition base value) must be of YXXX condition type of MM Purchase pricing Procedure.
How to acheive Alternative formula for condition base value in cross-application area as both condition type belongs to different Application area i.e. ZXXX belongs to TX and YXXX belongs to M.
One way or only way is thro' routine but I do not know How it works?

routine is only the best way for u in this case
u will have to use subtot may be 6 or 4 in MM pricing procedure
and write a routien in Tax procedure, i n that u will have to write a code where in ur sustem will featch this value in sub total and act a a base for ur cond type in Tax proc for ue condition type.
what is your excat requirement
there might be other work around that can help u around

When I look in the directories, I see that instsetoo_native/unxlngx6.pro/OpenOffice/native/install/en-US/linux-2.6-x86_64/buildroot/ does not exist. Instead, that path ends at instsetoo_native/unxlngx6.pro/OpenOffice/native/install/en-US/linux-2.6-x86_64/ , where I find a set of 25 openoffice.org-*.deb files. Removing the 'buildroot' part of the path might fix part of the problem, but I'm guessing something else may be going on here besides that.
Any ideas?

i think your date format and system date format is not suitable.

When I searched the SAP Marketplace for "PI 730 - XI Content for SAP BASIS", I have found the files which has .SCA extension instead of .tpz or .zip file extension.
Am I looking into a wrong directry if so, could you please help me in pointing to the correct directory?

The 7.30 SAP Basis content is delivered as a *sca file. You need to extract the *tpz file from this and import into the ESR in the normal manner. See the kba #1637955 PI ESR Content for SAP BASIS 7.30 for further details.
P.S. point 6 of the previous post is incorrect - "Under this you can get XI CONTENT PI_BASIS". It is available under XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS (not PI_BASIS)

Just use Trinidad's, I don't think 11g has an equivalent and Chris suggestion won't really work in this case as visible="false" is the same as rendered="false" for decoding purpose and you want it to be decoded in your case. Another poor man's solution would be

BCS: unable to determine consolidation area for data basis B1

Dear gurus,
   I have two consolidation areas B1 and Y1 on the same data basis B1. I want to report the data of consolidation area Y1. I created a query which had the restrictions on consolidation chart of accounts, fiscal year variant, version, fiscal year, posting period and group currency. But when I opened the query with BEx Analyzer, the error prompted like below:
   Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
   Error reading the data of InfoProvider ZCB_B1V11
   Unable to determine consolidation area for data basis B1
The row of the query is Item. I found if I activated the hierarchy of Item, this error occured and if deactivated the hierarchy of Item, the error disappeared.
Please advise. Points will be awarded if helpful.

Something is wrong with your hierarchy.
In my case items hierarchy works fine.
May propose two cases:
1. Which version of your hierarchy, defaulted 100 or not? If not - wait for trouble.
2. Hierarchy are global for all consolidation areas. If you hierarcical structures in different cons areas assigned to different special versions, the I'd not exclude some controversies between globality and special version pecularities.
