VxWorks Floating-point support 2.0 missing (LV2011SP1 RIO4.1)

Hi,
I have a strange problem with a CRIO System (9022) using LV2011SP1 RIO4.1 and MAX5.1.
Since I had older LV Versions on the computer I did some cleaning up in the LV components
and ended up deleting everything which belonged or depended on older LV versions.
Then I re-installed LV2011SP1 plus RT module SP1 plus (hopefully) all drivers needed.
Then I started MAX to update the software on the CRIO target to the versions installed on the host.
However, I cannot do that, I always get the following error:
VxWorks Floating-point support 2.0 missing (not installed on host)
I have no idea which component is missing where this is included.
Could someone please point me to the right package or driver?
TX
Solved!
Go to Solution.

I am having a similar issue as well. I am trying to install only LabVIEW Real-TIme 11.0.1 on a cRIO 9023 that has no software previously installed. It returns a message saying "LabVIEW Real Time 11.0.1 requires VxWorks Floating Point Support 2.0". I did some research and found LV2011SP1 Real Time Module should install VxWorks 6.3 but I cannot find this or anything related to VxWorks in the list of features to install in MAX.
Thanks,

Can anybody help me to fix this runtime errore?
it appears when i try to open the itune store, i can actually see the itune store window, but the error pop up is showed before i can do anything.
what i have to do to fix it?
    thanks a lot

If you Google your error, you will see it crops up quite a lot. Unfortunately it doesn't help much with a solution.
It is possible that your iTunes has got corrupted.
I would run a scan for malware with up to date definitions.
Then download a fresh copy of iTunes from here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    Save it on your desktop.
It is a good idea to make backup copies of iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml before removing iTunes. (the library files are in the iTunes folder in My Music).
Then remove iTunes and related programs using this method:
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
    Then install iTunes.
    P.S>
I forgot to mention, if you have not already done so, try restarting your computer to see if that clears the problem before reinstalling iTunes.

  • Bridge CS5 "Floating point support not loaded" Error R6002

    Hi,
I have been getting this error ever since I got a virus and cleaned it off my computer. Obviously the virus attached itself to the bridge executable file and when it was "fixed" by the antivirus it has corrupted the bridge file.
I have searched and searched how to fix this error to no avail.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop/bridge without any success too.
Please can someone tell me how to fix this!

Have you tried resting the preferences?  Hold down ctrl key and start Bridge.  You will get a reset window with 3 options.  THis file not affected with a reinstall.

  • Runtime Error:  R6002 Floating Point Supported Not Loaded Error

I receive a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error when I attempt to access the iTunes Store. Can someone please help me solve this problem.

Do you have any antivirus software? I've never seen this problem, but after reading some things about it, it's caused by earlier bad programming (not likely, since noone else is having the problem with iTunes), or a virus.
If you don't have antivirus, there are a few free ones, but I can't say I recommend them.
A couple free ones you must install:
    http://free.avg.com/
    http://www.clamwin.com/
    And an online scanner:

  • R6002 floating point support not loaded

    Hi,
I get this message when I try to connect to the store. Uninstalling iTunes seems to work for a while but then I get this message again. I don't really want to uninstall each time I want to visit the iTunes store. Can anyone help with this?
    Regards,
    William

If you search the forum, you will find this error has come up a few times without a definite solution.
As a start, you might want to run a scan for malware.
It might also be worth getting a second opinion from one for the free online scanners. But only use one of the big names as there are many scams out there.
    Some examples- Norton, Kaspersky, Pandasoft.

  • Floating point vulnerability - determine affected target

    Hello all,
I have a deployed system that uses a cRIO 9074. I do not have easy access to the system myself (off-site on a closed network). I can ask somebody to use MAX or FTP to get information I need but I would need pretty clear instructions to give them.
Here is the problem - NI published an advisory on "Floating Point Vulnerability" with certain targets(http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/5EDC7257492EEE5A862576740075795E). The LV RT with patch "f2" solves the issue but in this particular instance I do not know if the software on the target was installed before or after I updated the RT to the f2 patch (it was right around that time!). As such, I would like a way to find out exactly what is on the target.
It is relatively straightforward to get MAX to report on what version of RT the target is running but I'm not sure if it will report the patch. Will MAX give this information? If not, is there a file on the target that I can tease this info out of?
There are several things I can try on my own but if anybody has the exact answer that would be very much appreciated and would save a lot of trial and error over email.
    Very best,
    - Jolt

    Hi Jeff,
There are two ways to install the patch, as seen in the KB you linked:
    1. Custom Software Installation with Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX)
To check this, right click software under the RIO target in MAX.
    Click on Add/Remove software.
    Click on custom software installation.
Click on next and see if VxWorks Floating-point support for VxWorks 1 is checked.
    2. Manually FTP the Patch Component and Update the Target Configuration File
To check this, FTP to the cRIO and check if vxfpsup.out is in the following location /c/ni-rt/system/

  • Port of Giac [Longfloat] Library to HP Prime allowing [Variable Precision] Floating Point Arithmetic

HP Prime CAS is based on Giac, but [ misses ] some of its Special Purpose Libraries like the Giac [ Longfloat ] Library, which if [ Ported ] would allow HP Prime to be the First ( handheld ) Calculator to provide [ Variable Precision ] Floating Point Arithmetic routines ( fully integrated at its CAS Kernel level ). HP Prime already have internal calls to [ Longfloat ] library, but resulting in [ Error Messages ], like when selecting more than 14 Digits in [ evalf ] Numerical evaluation, as for example: evalf( 1/7, 14 ) producing 0.142857142857 and evalf( 1/7, 15 ) resulting in "Longfloat library not available Error: Bad Argument Value" The same happens when one tries to Extend the [ Digits ] variable to a value greater than 13, like Digits := 50 which returns Digits := 13 as output ( from any specified value higher than 13 ).  The porting of [ Longfloat ] library to HP Prime, would open many New opportunities in [ handheld ] Numerical Computation, usually available only on Top Level Computer Algebra Systems, like Maple, Mathematica or Maxima, and also on Giac/XCas. Its worth mentioning that Any [ Smartphone ] with Xcas/Giac App installed, can fully explore [ Variable Precision ] Floating Point Arithmetic, on current ARM based architectures, which means that a Port of [ Longfloat ] Library from Giac to HP Prime, although requiring some considerable amount of labor, is Not an impossible task. The Benefits of such Longfloat [ Porting ] to a handheld Calculator like HP Prime, would put it several levels Up on the list of Top current Calculator Features, miles and miles away from competitors like TI Nspire CX CAS and Casio ClassPad II fx-CP 400 ... Even HP 49/50g have third party developed routines with limited Variable Precision floating point support, while such feature is Not fully integrated to their native CAS Kernel. For those who do not see "plenty" reason for a [ Longfloat ] Porting to HP Prime its needless to say that the PRIMARY reason for ANY [ CALCULATOR ] is to CALCULATE ! and besides Symbolic Computation ( already implemented on all contemporaries top calculator models ), Arbitrary / [ Variable Precision ] Floating Point Arithmetic is simply The TOP of the TOP ( of the IceCream ) in [ Numerical ] Computation ! ( and beside Computer Algebra Manipulation routines, one of the Main reasons for the initial development of the major packages like Maple, Mathematica or Maxima ).

Thanks for the Link to [ HPMuseum.org ] Page with Valuable Details about the Internal Floating Point implementations both on Home and CAS environments of HP Prime. Its interesting to point to the fact that HP 49/50g has a [ Longfloat ] Version 3.93 package implementation ( with the Same Name but Distinct Code from the Giac Library ) available at [ http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=5363 ] Also its worth mentioning [ Wikipedia ] pages on Arbitrary Precision Arithmetic like [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arbitrary-precision_arithmetic ], [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_arbitrary-precision_arithmetic_software ] and [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_computer_algebra_systems ] and the Xcas/Giac project at [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xcas#Giac ] and Official Site at [ http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~parisse/giac.html ] It would be a Dream come True when a Fully Integrated Variable Precision Floting Point Arithmetic package where definetively incorporated to HP Prime CAS Kernel, like the Giac [ Longfloat ] Library, allowing the Prime to be the First calculator with such Resource trully incorporated at its [ Kernel ] level ( and not like an optional third party module as the HP 49/50g one, which lacks complete integration with their respective Kernel, since HP 49/50g does not have native support for Longfloats ).

  • R6002 - floating point not loaded / C++ Runtime Error

    Good Evening,
I have been having this problem with Adobe Bridge for a while and tonight sat down to try and solve it. Fresh version of Windows XP reinstalled all programs and this is still happening! Any Ideas?
This error only occurs with Adobe Bridge, I can load Photoshop etc.. all fine.
    Error:
    "Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS3\Bridge.exe
    R6002
    - floating point not loaded"
    Here is a print screen..
    http://images.unbrokenphotography.co.uk/BridgeError.jpg

Is there are answer to this problem?  This error message is appearing on an entire lab full of computers.  We are running Web Premium CS4
I have tried to reset the Bridge Preferences:
Hold down the Ctrl key and click on Bridge icon to start.
Should get a reset window with 3 options.
    Choose the first option
I still get "Runtime Error!   Program: C:\Prgram Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS4\Bridge.exe  R6002 -floating point support not loaded"

  • Floating Point # in MIDP & CLDC...

What is way of using the floating point numbers in MIDP & CLDC?
MIDP and CLDC has no built in support for it.
    Plz help me...

    simple.... Don't :P
you've got fixed point libs available, but theyre not exactly fast.
It is possible to recompile the KVM and enable floating point support, but none of the embedded implementations have this support, so its a pointless excercise.
What do you need floating point for?

  • Can I create a java app for my palm zire 71 that uses floating point calc

I am an eclipse user that is looking at studio creator 2 and was wondering if I could create a java app for my palm zire 71. I have read alot about no floating point support in midp... is that true for java on the palm? If so, how does one calculate with floats and doubles to do sqrt functions etc?
Thanks in advance for your time
    Dean-O

I looked at netbeans and it does not support floating points in midlets. Not good for palm app if no floating point ability. J2ME supports floating point but in netbeans... is uses midlets and there are no floating points. Now what does one do? Not that dreaded C++
    THanks in advance

  • 32-bit floating point HDR support for LR4.1 RC2

    Folks,
In the event you haven't discovered it, LR4.1 RC2 has added support for importing and adjusting a 32-bit floating point TIFF file. Which means LR4 can tonemap an HDR image. To use this, you'll need to use Photoshop's HDR Pro to put together the multiple exposed images, then set the options to make a 32-bit HDR image in HDR Pro and save that as a TIFF file. Then import the TIFF into LR4.1 RC2 for toning...note: nothing you do to the HRD in HDR Pro will impact the 32-bit FP TIFF. If you do some initial adjustments of the original raw files in LR 4.1, I'm pretty sure most of the toning in LR4.1 on the raw files is ignored. But white balance works (haven't tested spot healing and lens corrections yet).
Note, to do the HDR process, the raw images will end up being demosaiced and the saved HDR TIFF will be a linear ProPhoto RGB image.
Try it...the ability to use LR (and eventually ACR–it's not hooked up in the ACR 7 beta yet) to toning HDR images is actually pretty impressive. Also note, that you don't really need to feed HDR Pro a ton of multiple exposures...2 (normal and under to preserve highlight detail) or 3-5 depending on the scene contrast range is all you need. More isn't really better (unless you really need to shoot a very high dynamic range scene...

I will try that in the morning, but when checking the properties today it did say 16-bit for each clip. I have gotten around this by taking each clip offline, opening it in STP, applying the effects, doing a save as and then reconnecting each clip with the new file. It seems to work with no sync issues. Just doesn't work as easily as it should. Ideally I should be able to send each section to an STP script and allow it to do its work and have it work.
I sure hope to find out exactly what is going on.

  • So... if there's no floating point math, how do all those calculators work?

I see there's no floating point math support in J2ME.
So how do those calculators work? There's lots of 'em for download.
I have an app that's almost done; all I need to do is finish the calculations, but I need to read Strings from TextArea's and compute values based on them.
    What am I missing?

You can use third party libraries
    (MathFP http://www.jscience.net)
    or
    implement them with classical algorithms.

  • Invalid Floating Point Error

I have one Captivate 3 project published as a Stand Alone
project with Flash 8 selected. There are 36 slides, no audio, no
eLearning, SWF size and quality are high.
One person who runs this gets an "Invalid Floating Point"
error when he tries to run it the first time. He is running Windows
XP SP2, Firefox 3.0.4. and Flash Player 10.0.12.36. Other Captivate
projects I've created run fine for him. This one sometimes runs
    after the first Error message.
Any thoughts on the cause and fix?
    Thanks,
    Janet

iMediaTouch probably doesn't support Floating Point formats - it certainly doesn't mention them in the advertising. Try saving your files as 24-bit PCMs, and they should import fine.

  • Floating Point Representations on SPARC (64-bit architecture)

    Hi Reader,
I got hold of "Numerical Computation Guide -2005" by Sun while looking for Floating Point representations on 64 bit Architectures. It gives me nice illustrations of Single and Double formats and the solution for endianness with
two 32-bit words. But it doesn't tell me how it is for 64-bit SPARC or 64-bit x86.
I might be wrong here, but having all integers and pointers of 64-bit length, do we still need to break the floating point numbers and store them in lower / higher order addresses ??
or is it as simple as having a Double Format consistent in the bit-pattern across all the architectures (Intel, SPARC, IBMpowerPC, AMD) with 1 + 11 + 52 bit pattern.
I have tried hard to get hold of a documentation that explains a 64-bit architecture representation of a Floating Point Number. Any suggestion should be very helpful.
Thanks for reading. Hope you have something useful to write back.
    Regards,
    Regmee

The representation of floating-point numbers is specified by IEEE standard 754. This standard contains the specifications for single-precision (32-bit), and double-precision (64-bit) floating-point numbers (There is also a quad-precision (128-bit) format as well). OpenSPARC T1 supports both single and double precision numbers, and can support quad-precision numbers through emulation (not in hardware). The fact that this is a 64-bit machine does not affect how the numbers are stored in memory.
The only thing that affects how the numbers are stored in memory is endianness. SPARC architecture is big-endian, while x86 is little-endian. But a double-precision floating-point numer in a SPARC register looks the same as a double-precision floating-point number in an x86 register.
