VZ Messages contacts not displaying

When I receive a message from one of my contacts the notification on the lock screen shows the message with the sender's number but does not show the name. When I open the VZ Messages app the contact names show properly. How do I get the lock screen VZ Messages notifications to display the name?

We want you to use the app that fits your needs best, DerekU. The native application Ada had suggested is what generally controls the notifications on your phone and will display any contact names you have on your phone. If you're using Verizon Messages, the contacts may only show the name if they were synced with Backup Assistant instead of iTunes/iCloud or another 3rd party option. If you go into www.vzw.com/verizonmessages, do you see the contact names or the numbers in your message list?

have you tried option "LIKE" with instruction MESSAGE.
Example:MESSAGE ID '38' TYPE 'S' NUMBER 000 DISPLAY LIKE 'E' WITH 'My Message'.
And instead of using a MESSAGE instruction, why to not use a popup ?
Like using one of these function modules (for instance):
TMS_BCU_POPUP_TO_CONFIRM
POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_STEP
POPUP_TO_DECIDE
FC_POPUP_ERR_WARN_MESSAGE
etc...
If that does not work, perhaps it's your ehancement which is not the good one or perhaps you have use a second one.

Warning messages are not displayed in confirmation

Hi,
We are working with SRM 5.0 classic scenario. Our issue is warning messages are not displayed whenever we press the CONFIRM or DELETE button in the confirmation, however warning messages are displayed if we press CHECK button in the confirmation.
Please suggest the solution to display the warning messages while clicking CONFIRM or DELETE button in the confirmation.

Thanks for your reply. We raised the OSS message for this issue. As per the standard system behaviour, warning messages will not be diplayed when " DLETETE" button pressed.
In the DELETE mode, the system will display only the first EXPRESS
ERROR message and not WARNING messages.
Inorder to maintain an error message as EXPRESS, the FIELD_NAME
(i.e ls_message-field_name) has to be assigned with the value
EXPRESS.
For example,
ls_message-msgty = 'E'.
ls_message-msgid = 'ZF'.
ls_message-msgno = '000'.
ls_message-field_name = 'EXPRESS'
Kindly note that in the DELETE mode, the system does not display
EXPRESS message with msgty = 'W'.
Only EXPRESS message with msgty = 'E' is recognised and displayed.
The Warning messages will be displayed only during the CHECK mode.

SBWP: The content of message is not display

The user use SBWP inbox. There the message is not display the content of the message.
There I uninstalled and install again the SAP GUI and Windows, but there has been the same. Only the head of message is displayed.
There can only print the content of message.
What I have to do to display the content?

How exactly are you trying to forward an SMS as an email?
You can forward the SMS to an email address of your choice and that`s when your SMS will be converted to MMS, and sent to the email address of your choice . The recepient should get your message as "[email protected] carrier.com
Another way of doing it is to select "Share" instead of forward. Then a list of options will open that includes your email address. Select your email address and the selected text message will be added as "body.txt" and after this, you just have to enter the recepient email address and subject line (optional).
The recepient will receive the email with a "body.txt" attachment that can be downloaded and open in or with the "Notepad" on PC

Some Text Messages do not display when using large font on iphone

When using increased font size (accessability function) on iphone some text messages will not display. The iphone just seems to lock up. If normal font size is used text massage displays with out any issue. When font size is increased, text message will not display again.

Actually, Captivate does have an essentially unlimited number
of undo levels. But that number may appear to be different. The
number of levels starts when you begin editing the project. If you
close and re-open a project, that starts the undo process over.
I've tested and I gave up after about 280 or so undos.
Where Captivate doesn't allow an undo, it normally warns you
with a rather catastrophic looking dialog.

My messages are not displaying, in the body of the message?

When going to mail I see messages but the body of the message does not display.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if they show when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

LSO_CHECK_BOOKING custom error messages are not displayed

Good day! I am currently experiencing some problems displaying custom error messages from BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING. I have implemented this Badi and is appending error messages in CT_MESSAGE_TAB however when the message is displayed in portal, the custom message is not displayed. Instead, SAP displays a predefined error "Error When Creating Prebooking with the data entered..."
Is there a way for me to display my custom error message instead of the predefined SAP message?

You have not mentioned, which portal you are using. Please see below, that there are differences in the learning and the admin portal:
Learning Portal:
The framework of the existing design of the Learning Portal does not
allow customer specific error messages to be displayed in the portal.
Only a generic message will be displayed when prebooking in the learning
portal if the BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING returns an error. The design of the
application does not expect to raise an exception from the BADI. If the
BADI processing is assumed to be unsuccessful, the messages filled by
the BADI will be ignored and a general error message will be displayed
in the portal.
So this is basically a design limitation.
Administrator Portal:
Have you tried e.g. the following notes?

SAP Note 1575238 LSO: BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING does not show warning messages

Messages Does Not Display Contact Card

When I message someone or they message me to/from my Messages App on my MBP Messages will not fill in their contact information from my contacts. The only exception to this is when I am messaging someone who uses their email as their iMessage/Messages primary address.
For example, if I am messaging my friend who has an iPhone and their primary form of contact is their phone number then they show up as a phone number in my Messages app on my computer. However, on my phone they show up with their contact information filled in and the messages usually sync (sometimes there is issues where my computer will take me back to the last place I sent a message on the computer even though it has synced all of the messages I have also sent from my phone that day.) *See Screen Shot 1 Below*
The opposite example is if I am messaging someone who has set their primary contact information to be their email address. In this case, Messages will add their contact information and picture to the message thread similar to "Brent" and "Mom" in Screen Shot 2 below.
I don't know what else to do. I've tried restarting the app. Deleting message threads and restarting them. I cannot find other people who are having this issue as well. I'm just trying to figure out why my messages won't sync contact info. It all started when facebook updated their syncing with contacts. And yes, all of these phone numbers are in my contacts and assigned to contacts with pictures both on my phone and synced to my MBP.

Not sure I would have got that one.
Can't say I have seen it before.
Custom in Language and text can mean two things.
1) You have either added things to particular Displays (such as day and Date to the Time display)
2) You can changed something like a Measurement setting from British Imperial to Metric
There are other "tweaks" such as using a Chinese Calendar whilst saying you are in the US.
I have mine set to United States so I can use the AIM SMS "feature" in Messages.

Contacts not displaying properly in video iPod, need help

My contacts do not display properly on my video iPod. The phone numbers sometimes have dashes and sometimes do not in the iPod but the phone numbers always have the dashes in my address book on my G4 desktop. Example: iPod 555 555 1212 or 5555551212 or 555-555-1212
address book 555-555-1212 (always has the dashes)
I want the Ipod to display the way it looks in the address book, always using the dashes. I am total type A and it drives me crazy when they are not all the same!
I have iTunes 7 on a MDD G4 running 10.4

By default Messages should grab info from the Address Card in the Contacts app even if the iCloud option is not checked (and then syncing with other computers and iOS devices that are also set to sync this way).
However the Contacts App does need to be opened and have the Preferences > Accounts checked to see it is using a Valid Account.
The Address Cards need to list iMessages and possibly AIM and Jabber ID info as well.
Next you need to check the View Menu in Messages.
The Buddy Name option only used to work in Buddy List but now seems to also effect the main Messages window. (So you can change it here to Handle, which is ID or Screen Name).
Lower down is the option to display Names, Pictures or Name and Pictures next to people in the Chats.

After syncing mac address book to ipad contacts, the ipad does not display all the fields that were in Mac address book (in my case all the email addresses). Anyone have a fix?

I have a problem similar to DeeRun's.. I would like the IM fields to be synced.. I use them to send e-mails to when the e-mail field is empty or when i just want to use that specific address.. Very annoying, would take hours if not days to transfer all those IM adresses to e-mail fields in addressbook..
EDIT: not to mention the mess it would make in my address book!

Error message is not displayed

Hi all,
I am working on Tomcat server and JSP. i have created a web page using JSP and html. when i click on submit button, it should display the next page. if any error is there, it should display the error on the webpage. But, it is not displaying any error message.
It just says :
The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.
Please try the following:
Open the localhost:8080 home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

i tried using one undeclared variable and try to navigate to next page, even then there was no error message like "variable not found".......it just gives the error message as above............

Validation error message is not displayed for an attribute as an Input List Of Value

I use jdev 11.1.1.7.0
In my application I've created an Entity Obj and a View Obj base Employees table.
for the JobId attribute I've taken actions as listed below:
1. in Employees EO I've created a validation for this attribute and in some cases an error message returns (the error message is "the salary is not high"):

I open the Popup and I select a row from the Popup list and then I click Ok. After that if the validation method(validateJobId) returns false, the error message("the salary is not high") must be show to the user. but the error message doesn't display. I don't understand why this happens.
Can anybody guide me about this problem?

yes, you're right, I've tested it in 12.1.3 and error message was displayed.
it seems it's a bug(bad bug ) in both 11.1.1.7 and 12.1.2. and now what can I do? is there any way to display the the error message?

Suddenly, messages are not displaying correctly, how can I cure this?

Messages have stopped displaying correctly, or, in some case, at all. The messages have downloaded OK. Even messages which were displaying correctly earlier, now don't. It occurred after 'finger' problems - I tried to type something into Firefox but failed to change focus from Thunderbird to Firefox first and have obviously changed some setting. What can I do to restore normal behaviour?
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even deleting all references I can find to Thunderbird from the AppData folders in the users directory all to no avail.

Thank you for the suggestions. They did not cure the problem, but that is because I think now that there is no problem; Thunderbird is working normally. It appears to have had a temporary glitch and has corrupted 8 or 9 messages around the one I was viewing when I hit wrong keys. The corrupted messages seem to contain the headers of dozens of other messages, some quite old. Apart from those few messages, all others in the root inbox folder and in all sub-folders seem OK.

ADF FACES: af:messages/ does not display my messages at all

I am having an issue displaying messages using ADF MyFaces EA20.

Within all backing beans I call messages with the following method to conveniently display messages when needed.

With the first login page when validating username and password, the messages I send to the context display correctly, for example, incorrect password please try again and this uses exactly the same code as above in the backing bean.
However once a session has started the messages simply do not get displayed and are not included in the HTML the <af:messages /> is replaced with nothing.
No runtime exception is thrown.
If anyone has any idea of why the messages are not being displayed I would be very grateful to hear them.
Finally if I may add that I used this method of displaying messages in a previous project and it was fine. This time the only difference is that I am using Hibernate.
The closest answer I could find to a similar issue with Oracle Forums was:
The messages have to be added before the Render Response phase. It's generally very unusual to add messages in a bean getter/setter. I'd restrict yourself to adding messages in event listeners and actions.
I do put messages in my setter methods as this is where I perform validation, but I have tried moving them to the main method called by the action button and this still does not display my messages.

There is a standard way? Next time you can simply tell me to RTFM ;-) . I am working on a project and was assigned my particular section and was told that the messaging aspect and validation was not urgent, until now near the end of the project when it has become urgent. Rather then listen to my colleagues answer of "this is the way to do it" your answer suggested that we working in a non-standard way.
Having looked at Oracle JDeveloper 10g (10.1.3) Documentation, Validation, Conversion, and the Application Lifecycle section I noticed:
Render response:
Either display new page based on invoked navigation rules, or displays same page with errors.
I was providing a new navigation String to the same page under all conditions, which I guess gives a new context and so does not display the messages. Under error conditions I now return an empty navigation String and now it displays my messages.
Thank you for your help with this and I promise to read the manual next time.
