W 530 Intel Management Engine Firmware

ThinkPad W530 2436CTO Core(TM) i7 3920XM running Windows 8.1(64-bit), BIOS G5ETA2WW(2.62),
I have installed Intel Management Engine 10.0 Software10.038.1026 which resulted 10.030.1054, so fare so good.
Tryed to install Intel Management Engine Firmware 8.1.60.1560 found on Lenovo site, not possible, why? It was the meaning to update the installed version 8.0.12.1498.
I get the message when trying " 'FWUpdLcl.exe' is not recognized as en internal or external command"
As I understand it, the updated version should fit my w530?

I'm trying to figure out if I can install the Intel Management Engine Driver 7.1.52.1176. You have to have ME 7.1 firmware for that according to my MB download page*.
I've currently got ME driver 7.0.0.1144. Doesn't that suggest I have Intel ME 7.0 firmware as well?

  • Can't update Intel Management Engine

I keep getting notices through Support Assistant that I have updates to download and install. All of them install fine with the exception of Intel Management Engine. It appears to download it, but when trying to install it, after about 5-10 minutes it just says installation failed. No code, no expaination. I've tried it several times and it fails every time. The notice still persists. I wish I had some more information, but it doesn't provide me with any.

I have the same problem. Any solutions?

  • MSI Z87-G45 flashed bios 19 now Intel Management Engine doesnt work

I used the forum tool to flash the latest bios 1,19 for my Z87-g45 and after booting back into windows and reinstalling intel ME I have a yellow exclamation mark over the Intel ME Interface in device manager.
It says the device cant start and STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
I tried installing the MS hotfix that comes with the latest Intel ME software on the MSI website but it doesnt install and says it isn't suitable for my computer when I run it.  I tried the 64bit first then the 32bit.

I fixed this by installing the older 1.18 using the built in mflash instead of the forum tool.
I don't know if it was the 1.19 version or the forum tool that stopped intel management engine working but selecting bios and intel me flash from the built in mflash worked.
I did worry when my computer shut down and restarted at 49% complete but upon starting again it showed a blank screen with flashing percentage for intel me in the middle starting around 50%.
