So, despite the channels are found, the channels.conf file is empty. Anybody knows why?
If I set the frequency in VLC player, I can watch the first channel, so I know the DVB stick is working.

Followup questions:
I have a need to use both IE and Firefox due to specific website exclusive compatibility of each.
Question 1 - If I add additional favorites in IE8, export to html again then follow you instructions again, will it generate duplicate entries in Firefox or simply overwrite and add new entries?
Question 2 - Upon installing Firefox, part of the process is installing files from IE8 when I expereinced the first time the error I listed. Then tried the attempts manually serveral times, always with the same result - Firebox stopped then closed. Is there a known issue that has been unresolved with the latest version of Firefox and possibly other earlier versions in not being able to import native file format of IE8? If yes, then there should be something posted in the document I referred to earlier here within Firefox Help.

Help with rescuing data from faulty disk

Sorry the long wall of text, I wanted to explained everything as detailed as possible to not mess with the chronological order (TL; DR down below!)
Ok, here's the thing. I have two hard drives, a ssd [sda] (for the OS [arch linux, ubuntu and win7], munchkin 240gb) and a sata 3 one ([sdc] wd, 1 tb) that I use for everything else. A couple of weeks ago I found there were progressive, unexpected and random behaviour particularly with windows, random freezes, no bsod, ecc... I finally found that the second hard drive was the culprit so I decided stop using a buy a new disk (while sending the faulty to RMA, since it's barely one year old, and I don't do nothing out of ordinary), I got a seagate with 1 tb.
I honestly didn't want to mess too much about the data and wanted to save the most without wasting time, so I decided to try to clone the whole disk with dd according to the wiki (Disk Cloning). I imagined that the "bad sectors" were from the ntfs partition, so I went with that. Clearly I could get corrupt files in linux too, but my guess was that the most important data was safe, because I had been using it for the last couple of days without problems. The process ended with a lot of I/O errors, but in the end it showed the same number of `in` and `out`. I regenerated the UUID for the new cloned disk and each partition, modified the fstab and restarted (fingers crossed).
I could log into arch linux without problems, used it for a while, restarted a second time (that windows habit that I still found hard to overcome) and everything was okay (yes I made sure I was actually on the new disk). Next was windows time, which to my surprise worked fine too, I even played a while. After patting myself in the back, I rebooted the machine thinking in how much work I would like to have done today, and there were an error that apparead on the login screen, just a ms before I pressed enter, I think I read it was referring to another partition of sda. The system got stuck in the middle of the "log in screen" and loading x with a black screen, nothing else. Waited a while, losing hope I pushed the RESET button.
Now, it was stuck during the boot up process, after "killing rf radio" or something. It was obviously stuck somewhere else... (that message had appeared there since I built the pc) it read though that the /var partition was clean, same with the root partition, next I tried with "recovery" kernels, and each other kernel I had still in grub; but the problem persisted. Tried with ubuntu, had to change fstab again, rebooted, tried to enter, stuck on the loading screen with the big purple background. I couldn't get anything else past that, neither to get a decent log.
I don't know why (or maybe because I was desperate) I entered the uefi/bios settings and found that the time was localtime instead utc.... weird I thought and I blamed windows (though, I had the registry hack working for a while) and imagined that I updated something that removed that *fixed* the blessed fix. Since I remember having issues with partitions not being correctly mounted once because of time issues, I thought it was a problem with the time... nope, nothing changed.
I tried again with the recovery kernel of the ubuntu install, I could drop on the root shell, and tried to fix the clock time after remounting, same with mounting the /var partition (ubuntu doesn't use that one), it threw that "bad superblock error", but fsck ran saying the filesystem was clean and it was mount normally later. Somewhere between, I mounted the home partition, no errors, gave a quick navigation. I tried to install ntpd to follow the "troubleshoot" from the Time arch wiki page, but HA, no internet.
Rebooted again, and from the menu from "ubuntu recovery", allowed me to enable networking. Quite nice I thought, and pressed enter. It politely informed that I needed to mount the system (root partition) in read/write instead read-only. I happily said yes (I already had remounted the ubuntu root as rw, and worked ok), but stopped at the home partition taking about 10 minutes in "phase 2", suddenly started throwing a lot of errors, about missing inodes, files pointing nowhere, etc. It put a lot of files into lost+found directory. Oh, there it was... I thought, let's go into Arch Linux then...
Now the system booted up quite fast, and I was welcomed by the black screen asking coldly for my login information, I wrote the credentials, pressed enter, aaaaand PAH, "/home/pablo" change directory failed: No such file or directory. HA, funny I thought, lsblk, the partition was mounted, ls -l /home/... WHAT? the folder wasn't there.
I looked for the lost+found folder inside the home directory, and it had a lot of directories and files called DXXXXXX.RCN, and IXXXXXX.RCN and some symbolic links. The directories had files inside, the IXXXXX are actually files, ecc.
Right now, I'm lost... I'm not scared about the data, because it's still living happily (?) on the bad disk, but I still need to recover it, so I can filter it later allowing to write zeros to the fault disk and send it for a replacement. Is there any chance to recover the data? (I rather not going into around 100 files/directories with cryptics names), or maybe use another method to "recover" the data from the previous disk? using cp or rsync? Any good experience or advice on this?
PS.- Sorry for the epic story, I hope I don't scare readers or other fellow members.
TL; DR

+ Tried to activate networking, started to run fsck and threw a lot of errors (I remember I read something about "offset" not correcting) and moved files to lost+found directory
+ Arch Linux started, but I couldn't log because /home/pablo doesn't exist anymore and it seems everything lives now in the lost+found directory with weird names like DXXXXXX and IXXXXXXX
Aftermath: I have the original data, safe (?) on the bad disk (like I said, I never had any problem in my home partition). I really don't want to be nit picky about what I can save, I'll be happy to save as much as I can, but I don't mind losing corrupt files (that's why I thought cloning with filling with zeros would be enough). I just want to ditch the bad disk and send it to wd for a replacement.

I can see three possibilities:
1. The new HDD is broken as well.
2. The Linux partition contained a little garbage from old HDD's errors and that confused Linux and caused it to corrupt the partition further by writing more garbage to it.
3. The garbage from old HDD's errors contained on the Windows partition confused Windows and caused it to corrupt the Linux partition by overwriting it with garbage.
1. Rather unlikely if the HDD is new, but still worth checking. Install smartmontools and run smartctl -a /dev/new-hdd. On the "SMART attributes" list, check if any of "Reallocated_Sector_Ct", "Reallocated_Event_Count", "Current_Pending_Sector", "Offline_Uncorrectable" have RAW_VALUE other than zero or if the "SMART Error Log" contains any entries. If the attributes are all zero and the error log is empty, everything is fine.
2. Make new image of the old HDD. Make sure that Windows and Linux partitions don't overlap each other due to HDD read error. Run fsck on the Linux partition before mounting it to ensure that it doesn't contain errors which could lead to further errors. If it doesn't, it should be safe to mount and use it.
3. You said that Windows partition certainly contains error. Don't run Windows and don't mount this partition in Linux without running some NTFS checker (Windows tools on some other Windows system or ntfsck on Linux) and fixing all errors contained there. Alternatively, you can reinstall Windows on the new HDD and manually copy all the files you care about that are still readable from the old HDD. BTW, don't modify anything on the old HDD, as this would likely corrupt its other contents in the same way that modifying its copy corrupted other parts of its copy.

When I try to sync photos, I followed all the steps, picked one folder. When I hit "apply" I get this error message: Are you sure you want to remove 30 apps from iPad. This will delete these apps and their data from the iPad. What have I done wrong

I have the same problem. I updated my mac to 10.5, which then had me update apps like itunes, etc. then it wanted me to sync my purchased music to my ipad before i updated the ipad...which worked ok. then when i was syncing the photos i got the same message when i hit "apply" asking are you sure you want to delete the 12 apps from the ipad - clicked "no" and brought me back to the original screen. Got the same message when trying to move them from the hard drive to the ipad. WHat is going on and how do I correct this? Thanks

Presence data from web service

i like to get presence data from the presenceconsumer web service. But everytime a call getUserPresence i get a PolicyException (POL0002): 'Privacy verification failed for address %1, request is refused'.
I use a web service proxy generated from the wsdl of the presenceconsumer web service. Authentication is made against the appregationproxy by setting username and password. Both users (the one i use for authentication and the one whose presence data i want to get) are registered in the timesten database.
The user whose presence data should be accessed is logged in the OracleCommunicator and has the other user on the allowed list for presence data.
All other operations of the presence web services work without any problem, so why not getUserPresence?

I have found the problem and fixed it :)
If you see my code, I was checking for the pending subscriptions after publish() method. When I tried this check before publish() method, I got the expected results (All the pending subscriptions).
Also, I got an error (ServiceException) while dynamically retrieving the subscribed attributes for some reason. I have found an alternative solution, by manually allowing only the PresenceAttributeType.Activity (instead of all getSubscribedAttributes()).
Note: This code was working fine in my local machine because, I have already setup-ed the users (Buddy list) through Oracle communicator in my machine. I was not able to install OC in the VM for some reason though OS is same in both my machine and the VM (OS: Windows 2000 SP4).

Refreshing the Data from a embed view in a view container

Hi everybody
I would like to know how can I do to refresh all data from a View with a view container the problem is:
that I have a window that has a view at the same time this has a view container. The Main view brings the data of editable elements when I select one element of the main view the view container brings a list for that element (dependencies) but only the first time a choose an element loads the correct data, when I choose another one it brings the same old data and doesn't make the call for the wdDoInit() method.
The question is:
How do I force the view to refresh all the data or call again the wdDoInit() method?

Lets say you have two components C1 and C2 and you want method from C1 to be available in C2 then follow these steps:-
1) Goto the Interface Controller of C1 and create a method there lets say doSomething
2) Then goto C2. There you can see Used Web Dynpro Components --> Right click Add Used Component --> Give some name say C1Comp --> Click browse and select C1 --> Click Finish.
3) Next goto Component Controller of C2 --> Properties --> Click Add and check if C1 is added. If not then select the checkbox and select OK.
4) Now goto Implementation tab of C2 and lets say wdDoInit you can write following code:-

Issue when uploading Sales data from DSO to Cube.

Dear All,
I have an issue when I am uploading Sales data from DSO to Cube. I am using BI 7.0 and I have uploaded all sales document level data to my DSO. Then I use a transformation rule to calculate the Sales Value when I am doing DTP to cube. Cube has customer wise aggregation data.
In DSO I have NetPrice(KF) and Delivered_QTY(KF). I do a simple multiplication routine in the transformation from DSO to Cube.
RESULT = SOURCE_FIELDS-NET_PRICE * SOURCE_FIELDS-DLV_QTY .
At the moment I use Active Table(With out Archive) on the DSO to get the data since this is my first load.
Issue is that the figure (Sales Value) in the cube is incorrect. I am getting a very large values which is impossible.
Can someone please help me.

are you sure that cube has customer wise aggregated data..since it will always aggregate the values of the key figures for the same set of characters...
did you checked the values for the key figures as well and if even they are inflated or is the problem with this key figure only.
During the data load the records may aggregates first for the same values of characters and then multiplication will be happening....if that is the case then you may have to multiply the values before storing it in the data package and then let it aggregate....can be achived through start routine...
but first verify if other key figures are also having the same issue.

I have a peculier problem while creating a report. I have two custom info providers one DSO and another Cube. There are only two common fields between these two Info providers . I need to create a report such that the report displays all the values from DSO but user can have the selection option on one of the fields in the Cube.
Here is an example
DSO Contents:
DocNum-     DocItem-     DocText-     Amount-      Quantity

The report needs to be displayed as shown below when the user selects value for date from 1/10/2009 to 2/20/2009

I hope this was clear for you to understand. I would really appricate if any one can answers about how to resolve this problem. I cannot add the date filed to DSO and I also have Doc Num and Item as the user selection fields in the report.

Hi chinna,
Two possible options, I can think of now, but both of them may be a compromise with performance.
1. create an infoset and then a query on top of it, provided we have a one to one relation in both the targets. That is, the combination of doc and item number is not duplicate in either cube or ODS.
2. Create a master data object of doc and item number and have date as an attribute. Load that from cube data and make date as navigational attr.
Use this navgntal attr for selection in your report.

Hi,
there is no separate Tcode for 3.5 environment... but in RSA1 itself they give 3.X functionality also.. So, if you want to follow the 3.5 procedure you can go thru that... in the Infosource tab--> select your info area -->and right clcik it.. ->in that create INFOSOURCE 3.X.. for that just right clcik ur CUBE or DSO and --> Additional functions --> Update Rules.. and like that you can follow the same procedure which you done in 3.5..
and for data loading in BI 7.0 from fla file means
fisrt create one Cube or DSO with the same structure which you have in flatfile..
and activate it..
->now comes to Datasource tab> create one Datasource here you need to select type of data for example.. select Transactional data --> and menntion your flatfile name in extraction tab- and file type and eneter your info object names in FIELDS tab --> and load preview data Activate it..
now select your datasource and create info package and schedule it.. now your data will loded in to PSA level...
> and now comes to info provider select your cube.. and right clcik it.. and create transformations.,. and activate it..
> and create DTP -- Activate it.. and Execute it..
1)Create datasource. Here u can set/check the Soucre System fields.
2)Create Transformation for that datasource. (no more update rules/transfer rules)
2.1) While creating transformation for DS it will ask you for data target name, so just assign where u want to update ur data.
DataSource -> Transformation -> (DTP)-->Data Target
Now if you want to load data into data target from Source System Datasource:
1) Create infopackage for that data source. If you are creating infopackage for new datasources, it will only allow you update upto PSA, all other options u can see as disabled.
2)Now Create DTP (Data Transfer Process) for that data source.
3) NOw schdule the Infopackage, once the data is loaded to PSA, you can execute your DTP which will load data to data target.
Data Transfer Process (DTP) is now used to load data using the dataflow created by the Transformation. Here's how the DTP data load works:
1) Load InfoPackage
2) Data gets loaded into PSA (hence why PSA only is selected)
3) DTP gets "executed"
4) Data gets loaded from PSA into the data target once the DTP has executed
1) Create a data source
RSA1->Source Systems->FILE(File)->PC_FILE(Filesourcesystem)->Create Application Component(optional)-Create Data source
2) Create the data provider
3) Create Transformation
Right click on the data provider, choose 'create transformation' and choose your data source (give relevant data source and its type)
Just connect the relavant fields between your data source and data provider.
4) Create DTP
Then Double click on the DTP node created under yous transformations. choose the extraction mode
5) Load the data: there are 2 ways:
you can run the infopackage and DTP separately or create a process chain consisting of these infopackage and DTP and run.

How can I Move data from one column to another in my access table?

I have two columns, one that stores current month’s data and one that stores last month’s data. Every month data from column 2 (this month’s data) needs to be moved to column 1 that holds last month’s data. I then null out column 2 so I can accumulates this month’s data.
I understand how to drop a column or add a column, how do I transfer data from one column to another.
Here is my trial code:

I agree the documentation is a good place to start. But you should not need a WHERE clause here.
Too few parameters. Expected 1.
If you run the SQL directly in Access, what are the results? At the very least, it should provide a more informative error message..

I hope the earlier post by kashyap is good enough an answer. anywas in addition to it let me give a detailed
explanation of how you can populate an internal table.
1) Append data line by line.
 Syntax : APPEND [<wa> TO / INITIAL LINE TO] <itab>.
this appends new line to internal table <itab>.
2) Using COLLECT statement.
 COLLECT is another form of statement used for populating the internal tables. Generally COLLECT is used while inserting lines into an internal table with unique standard key. The syntax for COLLECT statement is as shown
 Syntax : COLLECT [<wa> INTO] <itab>.
3) Using INSERT statement
 Syntax INSERT [<wa> INTO / INITIAL LINE INTO] <itab> [index <idx>].
INSERT statement adds a line/work area to the internal table. You can specify the position at which the new line is to be added by using the INDEX clause with the INSERT statement.
Now coming to your request..
To append part or all of an internal table
 Syntax
 APPEND LINES OF <itab1> [FROM <n1>] [TO <n2>] TO <itab2>.
* Note:
Without the FROM and TO options, this statement appends the entire table <itab1> to <itab2>.*
b) To insert part or all of an internal table into another internal table
 Syntax
 INSERT LINES OF <itab1> [FROM <n1>] [TO <n2>]
 INTO <itab2> [INDEX <idx>].
c) Using Move statement.
To copy entire contents of one table into another in one execution
 Syntax MOVE <itab1> To <itab2>.
 OR
 <itab1> = <itab2>.
but u hav to be careful because he contents of itab2 will eb overwritten on the execution of this statement.
These copy the contents of ITAB1 to ITAB2. Incase of internal tables with header line we have to use [] inorder to distinguish from work area. So, to copy contents of internal tables with header line the syntax becomes,
ITAB1[] = ITAB2[].
Coming to the letter part of your question, Yes, we can copy values between tables having different structures.
for this we use
 MOVE-CORRESPONDING <itab1> TO <itab2>
 this executes the statement for their header lines. Searches for the sub-fields which occur both in itab1 and itab2 and then generates, for all relevant field pairs which correspond to the
 sub-fields ni , statements of the form MOVE itab1-ni TO itab2-ni. The other fields remain unchanged.

I realize that I can achieve a similar result by adding an alias of [email protected] from my [email protected] email, but I would like to change my account name for the iCloud service itself as well, not just email. This is for aesthetic reasons because I would like to have the same login for everything I use.
How I can transfer all my iCloud data from [email protected] to [email protected]? I would like to transfer all data completely, as I use every feature of iCloud extensively, including email folders, notes, Safari bookmarks, etc.

I have loaded ODS with the description data. The source system for loading the ODS is the flat file. The ODS data should be a replica of the flat file.
In the flat file, there is a description field corresponding to a particular ID. This Description is greater than the standard 60 char length. So, I had to split the description while loading the flat file using single line routine in the Transfer Structure.
So, while loading different the data, I split the description field data from the flat file into 4 infoobjects and the flat file data was loaded into the ODS.
Now, from the reporting point of view, I need to display the entire description data from the 4 info-objects into a single cell in the Bex report.
Please suggest a solution for this.

Adding Data From One Table to Another

Now, this doesn't strike me as a particularly complex problem, but I've either strayed outside the domain of Numbers or I'm just not looking at the problem from the right angle. In any case, I'm sure you guys can offer some insight.
What I'm trying to do is, essentially, move data from one table to another. One table is a calendar, a simple two column 'date/task to be completed' affair, the other is a schedule of jogging workouts, i.e, times, distances. Basically, I'm trying to create a formula that copies data from the second table onto the first but only for odd days of the week, excepting Sundays (and assuming Monday as the start of the week). Now, this isn't the hard part, I can do that. The problem comes when I replicate the formula down the calendar. Even on the days when the 'if' statement identifies it as an 'even day', the cell reference to the appropriate workout on the second table is incremented, so when it comes to the next 'odd day', it has skipped a workout.
I can't seem to see any way of getting it to specifically copy the NEXT line in the second table, and not the corresponding line.
This began as a distraction to try and organise my running so I could see at a glance what I had to do that day and track my progress, but now it's turned into an obsession. SURELY there's a solution?

• a list of three workouts, one for each of Monday, Wednesday and Friday, then the same three repeated the following week?
• an open-ended list that does not repeat?
• something else?
