W1907 monitor

I had this monitor installed in Vista and it ran the native resolution of 1440 x 900 perfectly. I upgraded to Windows 7 and the native resolution has gone. There are lower ones and higher ones(which it can't use) but no 1440 x 900. I assumed that Windows 7 would run anything Vista ran with no problems but I cannot find any solution to this. I have downloaded the specific Windows 7 drivers for this model but there is no 1440 x 900 setting. Is there any software that can remedy this? I'm stuck on 1280 x 1024 which isn't too good and doesn't make use of the monitor's own native resolution. Confused

If there isn't a Win 7 driver provided by HP none of them will work.  HP has their motherboards made to their specifications.  Therefore, retail drivers from any other manufacturer will not work.
Here are the links to the two versions of thew1907 monitor:

The Widescreen version doesn't have a Win 7 driver.  The other version does.

    Hi,
Yes it is, you need the right port on your machine to connect to it. It has one VGA port and one DVD-D port.

  • Upgraded to Windows 10 and now I can't see my two HP w1907 monitors or change the screen resolution

I just upgraded my computer from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Professional. Before the upgrade, I had two monitors. Since the upgrade completed, I no longer have two monitors. I need to figure out how to get two monitors back, as well as how to get the correct drivers for my two HP w1907 monitors installed, so that my system recognizes that I have two monitors. I also need to be able to reset the screen resolution to what I had before (in Windows 7).

  • No sound from my HP w1907 monitor and all the plugs are in and the sound is turned up.

I have a HP w1907 widescreen monitor and I am using it on windows vista pro 32 bit and I have no sound.  Everything is hooked up correctly and the sound is turned on and up.

    HI blue000,
Are you using an HDMI, DVI, or VGA connection? Did you enable the speakers using the (OSD) menu?
HDMI will support audio and graphics input. Please refer to this HP support document.
A VGA or DVI connection requires an audio connection (see here).

  • HP w1907 monitor flashes briefly and then goes black. Catch a brief message of "No DV1 input"

Is this a monitor issue, cabling or computer problem? Thanks

    Hello adaokie,
We won't know what kind of issue it is until we start ruling things out. Start with the cabling as it is generally the easiest to determine.
From there you can hook it up to another computer. If it does the same thing then we know it's a monitor issue.

  • Hp w1907 monitor

will not stay awake.  as soon as it powers up it goes to sleep.

I just tried the reset, its doing the same thing, except its not going to sleep. After displaying the message it just goes black like there's no signal. I can even see the desktop and open programs for the two seconds its displaying before it does. I have tried another PC and the monitor does the same thing, and a different monitor works just fine on both PC's.

  • HP w1907 monitor no longer wakes up after system was doing some Updates

last night, my computer tried to do some updates, and then when it rebooted, i had an error and it said it needed to do some kind of special recovery during the reboot cycle. the blue window looked like old W95 era. i came back after a few hours, and the computer was on, but the monitor no longer responds. i tried a cold reboot, and the computer boots, keyboard lights on, hard drive spinning, but the monitor remains dark. also, nothing brings it back to life. while i would think this could be a driver that got messed up during the Update process, or even a bad video board, the monitor itself doesn't respond to normal buttons like the menu or select buttons.  For example, with the computer "running" (in whatever state it is in, I cannot tell), and the monitor is quiesent, when i push the MENU botton, the light on the top of the monitor goes from orange to blue briefly, then the monitor says "monitor going to sleep", and then the light goes from blue back to orange and nothing else happens. driver? monitor?? i dont have any other DVI equipment at home to do a swap and try things out. anyone have a best guess??

    Hello Diqoter,
You keep getting a message that auto adjustment in progress.
Have you tried to connect the monitor to another computer?
It might be that the auto adjustment button is stuck.
If you still have the disk that came with the monitor you can try to run the disk.
Here is a link to the manual for your monitor.
Do a hard reset of the monitor.
Unplug the power going to the monitor and hold down the power button for 15 sec, this will reset the hardware in the monitor.
Let me know how everything goes.
    Have a good day.

  • HP w1907 microphone?

I have an HP Pavilion a6112n PC running Vista and an HP w1907 monitor.  I just signed up for a Skype account and tried to make a call.  I could hear and see my friend, but she couldn't hear me.  My Skype message said that it can't detect a mic sound card.  Do I not have a microphone on this unit?   Technical knowledge of computers very limited.  Thank you.

    Hi ncnash,
I don't believe your monitor has a microphone in it. Here is your specifications: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00916924&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3351967&tmp...
Your PC has a microphone port that you can use to plug in a mic.
Do you have a webcam that you are using so your friend can see you in Skype? Does your webcam have a built-in mic?
If you don't have a mic on your webcam, you can pick up a microphone pretty cheap at almost any electronics store.

  • W1907 device driver not found

Bear in mind I'm brand new. With that said, I purchased a new system recently and in the process of setting it all up i was prompted to load the device driver for my w1907 monitor. Upon doing so I got the message that the software was found but a problem occured while trying to load it. Now everytime I reboot I get the Found New Hardware notice saying the driver needs to be installed. I try everytime and it does the same thing. I am using this monitor with no problems at this time, but I'm running a separate set of audio speakers so don't know if there's any sound issues. Should I try to find a solution to this? I went online to HP's support page and downloaded their driver, the same results. If it's not a big deal then how do I get the notification to stop popping up on reboot? The "don't ask this again..." about the driver install doesn't work. Any advice on this would be appreciated, Thanks in advance, oldschool
    This question was solved.

This might be because you used the driver cd for the lcd which I recommend to never use.
Try going to Start, rightclick on computer and go to Properties, on the top left corner click Device Manager then when it comes up find Monitors, click on the plus sign, right click on the HP.....lcd and go to Update Driver Software, then choose Browse my computer for driver software, then on the top bottom click Let me pick from a lisr of drivers.... then click Generic PnP Monitor go next, wait a few moments, then click Close or Finish and restart the pc.
Let me know if it works.

  • No VGA or DVI input signal

I recently found my old HP Pavilion a6228x after 2 months of not using it, and hooked it up to my  w1907 monitor with a vga cable.  It says that there is no VGA or DVI input signal, with the black arrow pointing at DVI. I can't switch from DVI to VGA because everytime I press the menu button, the screen will say "Monitor going to sleep." The monitor works fine with my laptop and the same vga cable. Help?

    Hi,
Since the monitor and cable are known to be good then make sure that you are plugging the video card into the video card's VGA port if a a video card is installed.  If the video card has a DVI port then use a native DVI cable between the monitor and the video card.
If there is a video card in your PC then try reseating it (remove and replace). If that doesn't work then remove the video card and plug the VGA cable into the motherboard's VGA port.
Only connect one active video feed to the monitor.
Try a monitor reset. Unplug the monitor’s power cord and hold down the monitor’s power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up.

  • Error code 80070005

When updating windows I get error code 80070005. My research says this is a monitor problem. I have an HP w1907 monitor. So I have tried to reload the driver program from my disk. However when I try this I get and error message saying "An error occurred while installing the display drivers".
What can I do to fix this problem?  On Shut Down, my computer keeps trying to download the Windows update with no success.

even me also facing this problem plus other installed softwares are also not working and unable to update them from store. Its giving error code : 80070006 for updation.
Is there any issue in cyan update? If so, then why these guys rollout this update after so much testing.
