W2K server (used as a workstation) won't register...

Question

Hello:
A). Preliminary information:
My supervisor has a W2K server (fully-patched) as a WS (why, don't know,
I don't question my boss). Client32 was initially 4.83 SP3 (fully-patched)
and worked fine, but I upgraded Client32 to 4.9 SP2 with additional most
recent patches, and used ACU with pre-configured Unattend file and ACU.ini.
The Unattend specifies to install Workstation Manager, Remote Manager, and
the NAL agent, too. This setup worked great on all W2K workstations in my
environment, but it appeared to not install Workstation Manager and Remote
Manager on my boss' W2K server WS.
I have uninstalled Client32, did a reboot, and tried again. Still the
same problem. I ran SETUPNW.EXE and finally had the items installed.
B). Problem 1:
We have installed ConsoleOne 1.3.5 to the W2K server WS. Now, we are
attempting to install the plug-ins. I ran "c1upd.exe" (10/6/2003, 1:52
p.m.) from \\<NetWare 5.1 SP3 server>\SYS\Public\mgmt\ConsoleOne\1.2\bin.
We get an error stating that the NICI needs to be installed - install
now? - message. I click No and do a manuall install of NICI from the 4.9
SP2 overlay setup located in WINNT\i386\nici, then do a reboot. We still
get the error. We can't get all the plug-ins that we need. I have no
problems when doing this on a regular W2K WS.
C). Problem 2:
I have ran C:\Winnt\System32\wsre32.exe from W2K server WS, and it won't
create a Workstation object in NDS.
Additional information:
When the W2K server WS had Client32 4.83 SP3 installed, this problem did
not occur. The boss is getting frustrated because of his W2K server WS is
not registering in NDS, and since the C1 plug-ins aren't installing due to
the NICI supposedly is not installed, he can't Remote Control to another
user when he has to.
Help, please. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
