W500 with Intel 3500 wireless not connecting to N network

I have a W500 4058-CTO under windows 7. Wireless N support working well at 145Mb/s on average. It was being somewhat flaky when I docked/undocked about turning off the wireless radio. I updated to the latest drivers from Lenovo, big mistake. It installed the following on an update:
Access Connections: v5.61
Intel wireless driver: v13.01.1000
Rebooted and now the wireless refuses to connect to the N network (using a Netgear WNR3500L). If I change the netgear down to WPA-PSK with TKIP, then it connects in G mode. Setting the netgear to WPA-PSK[TKIP} + WPA2-PSK [AES} and setting the W500 wireless to WPA2-PSK [AES] fails to connect and provides me this fine error:
Dynamic key exchange did not succeed within configured time
My original configuration on the W500 before the update was WPA2-PSK [AES]. I removed/re-installed the Intel & Access Connections drivers/software. Same situation. Note that if I set my router to G and the W500 to WPA-PSK with TKIP it connects at 54mb fine. 'Course, that isn't making full use of my network.
Anyone have an idea on how to resolve this?

Try this:
In Windows:
Go into your power options (Control Panel - Power Options)
There are 3 options: Balanced, Power Saver and (may be hidden) High Performance.
Either choose High Performance (there's no Save or Ok; it changes immediately) and try connecting again
or
choose either of the other plans and click "Change plan settings" and the "Change advance power settings". Scroll down, if necessary, to "Wireless Adapter Settings" and click on the + to view the "Power Saving Mode". Click the + again to reveal the options for "On battery" and "Plugged in". For both, choose 'Maximum Performance'. Any of the other three options ('Low', 'Medium' and 'Maximum Power Savings') may cause this issue.

First run Software Update to make sure your iMac is up-to-date.
Even though things are working OK on other devices there may still be issues with your modem or router so it's best to start there. Locate the manuals on both devices and reset each. Do the modem first then the router. Next make sure the router has up-to-date firmware. If the problem continues after updating resetting and updating both devices then download and install iStumbler and let it run for about 30 minutes. iStumbler will scan your area for the Wi-Fi networks being used, pay attention to the channels each network is set to. Most routers are pre-set to channels 5 or 6 and if you are in a congested area and all the routers are set for channel 5 or 6 then you can see where there might be a problem. Set your router's channel to one not being used in your area, you have at least 14 channels to choose from. Also check to see if your router is using 802.11n, if it's not then it would be wise to upgrade the router to a faster device.
Next is if you are still having issues the problem could be your ISP's DNS settings. If you want to learn about DNS please read CNET's DNS Article and MacWorld's DNS Troubleshooting . Then use the instructions below to reset the DNS settings:
1. System preferences
2. Network
3. Click Advanced
4. Click DNS tab
5. Click + sign
6. Add 208.67.222.222
7. Click + sign
8. Add 208.67.220.220
9. Click OK.
10. Exit System Preferences

Intel 6205 wireless not working with Lenovo W520

Loving the new W520... very fast, if only the wireless would work. Unable to get wireless interface functioning, won't even show up in ifconfig. I've appended requested wireless information, thanks in advance for any assistance.

WRT54GS WIreless not connected, yet connected

My WRT54GS wireless connections wont go through, as it clearly says, Not Connected, yet my network connections will show that I am connected to the internet and indeed, I can browse the web. My biggest problem with this is that eventually (around 10 minutes or so) it will disconnect from the internet, which is a problem since i play online games. Anyone ever had this happen?

under the network connections , what all connections do you see....ensure that any other connection except for the wireless network connection is disabled..
the only medium of connection should be the wireless network connection... check this and let me know if more help need on this issue ...

You may have to enter device code like 000 in phone so it can pair up.
Try checking the box you mentioned
Check the manual for your Bluetooth device it will tell you the code Read all of it!!!!!
Try turning on Bluetooth just as phone is put in search mood.

K210 will not connect to secured network

My Lenovo K210 system running Vista will not connect to a secured wireless network. I added a Tenda, and Netgear USB wifi stick as well as a Rosewell PCI card (removing each before proceeding to the next element.). It will see the secured network, and will allow for input of the PSK key, but it will not connect saying "Windows cannot connec tto <SSID>" with "Diagnose the problem" or "connect to another network". Diagnose the problem results the same. I end up connecting to an unsecured router I have set up on an old broadband connection. The PCI adapter will handle WEP, WPA and WPA2.
Is there something that could be changed to allow for connection to a secured network?

It sees the network, there is no error message just showing the circular emblem and not the check next to the network. I do not know about other networks since I am at home and just started this morning. I can connect to my MacBook Pro with Bluetooth.

Since you are having trouble with Parallels or Windows, did you ask in their respective support forums? If not, you might want to consider doing so.

On startup Apple TV tells me that I am NOT connected to a network. Settings says I am.

I have two Apple TV units. Until the last couple of weeks they have both worked fine. No hardware has changed but now they both have the same problem. But I want to get back to wireless operation. What's wrong?

Having reread your post, i note you say you connected the thernet cable to a wifi extender, are you by any chance using the wifi extender when trying wifi and by extender do you mean a WDS extended network. I have seen quite a few reports that networks extended using WDS have problems.
Although it may be a weak signal, are you able to temporarily disable WDS to see if this resolves the connection issue.

Airport (Express) is turned on but is not connected to a network.

I am having an issue with my Airport Express set up. I have had 18 months of use of the AE for internet access (no other wireless hardware used), but have suddenly lost the wireless ability.
In my network preferences it shows the AE with an amber light (green on the actual AE) with the message "Airport is turned on but is not connected to a network". When I look at the Airport utility there is no AE showing even after multiple "rescans"
I have gone through multiple processes of turning on and off the router, AE and MBP to no avail. I have gone through soft and hard reboots to intermittent visibility in the Airport Utility. This includes direct linking MBP to AE with Ethernet cable
When the AE finally shows in the utility, i have reset all passwords etc as advised by program, but when the utility goes to restart the AE it loses it and I end up back at square one
I know the internet is working due to Ethernet directly into the MBP
I have take to a friends and they plug and play ... so know the AE works
Is there something i am not doing? Why is the AE and MBP not talking to each other?
Please someone help me !!

Hi, Kozou. Welcome to the forums!
Connect your computer to the Express's Ethernet port and open AirPort Utility. Does this allow AirPort Utility to find your Express?
If so, go through the setup process. After the Express restarts, disconnect it from the computer and connect it to your DSL, cable modem, or whatever provides your internet connection. Wait a minute or so. The light on the Express should turn green.
Now tell your MBP to join the wireless network created by the Express. You can do this using the AirPort menu or the Network pane of System Preferences.
Does this work?
