Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears.  See if that clears the glitch.

How is the express getting internet? What modem is it plugged into?
How is the extreme setup? New extreme cannot be setup with 5.6 utility.. you must use latest 6.3. Which also means you cannot setup from computer using less than Lion .. or you must use iOS with latest utility but it has limited configuration cf the computer version.
IPv6 is also needed.. turn on local link.

  • My iphone won't turn on at all and when i connect it to a charger the apple sign just flashes on and off but does not turn on?

I've tried charging it overnight and it still will not turn on, when connected to the charger the apple sign just goes on and off but does not do anything, i've tried resetting it and this also does not work, but then once taken off the charger it doesn't even say the sign for charging it just does nothing

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

  • Unresponsive Satellite L55t - charges but does not turn on

Hello, I turned on my laptop and the backlight lit up but there was no display. I could hear it turning on and the indicator light came on. When connected to an external monitor, the display was just fine. I did some research, opened it up and disconnected and reconnected a few things (which I do often) and closed it back up. When I tried to turn it on this morning it was unresponsive. When connected to the ac adapter the charging light will turn on but the power button does not turn the laptop on. I desperately need this laptop for school, it's beyond it's warranty and I don't have the money to get it serviced. If I can find the source of the problem I'm open to replacing said part as long as it's not more expensive than sending it out to Toshiba. I've since taken the entire thing apart. The only things connected are the motherboard and CPU, both of which I've taken out and cleaned (fan was gross but I digress). I'm handy enough to be able to put it back together correctly and I know the basic parts, but I was hoping that someone could walk me though some troubleshooting as I put it back together. Or if that's not how it's done, maybe someone can help me take it apart in the right order so I can isolate the problem part. I have high hopes that it can work again (as it was powering up just fine a couple days ago with the exception if the display problem) I'm just not sure how to go about getting it back to that point. Thanks in advance for the help!

  • When I connect my iphone 5 to charge, repeated again and again the charge sound, but does not turn! HELP!!

help with iphone, you may not start and repeat the sound over and over again that the screen is broken?

    Hello obrunaga,
Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone.
I recommend following steps 2-6 below for an issue like the one you described:
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
You can find the full article here:

  • Goes to grey screen but does not turn off

I have had two problems since upgrading my Mac Pro to Mavricks.
    1) When I shut down from the finder menu it quickly closes all my applications and goes to a blank grey screen but then never actually turns completely off unless I press and hold the power button.
    2) Everytime I turn the computer on the Welcome to Mail introductory dialog box opens up and not until I press the Continue button does the Mail application actually open, despite the Mail application having been open when I last shut down.
I have also noticed occastional "flickers" of windows when shutting down, in short it does not seem happy with either the shutdown or the booting up process, although I must admit that in so far as it does shut down, (i. e. the time it takes for the applications to quit), it does so faster than it used to under the older OS.
Are these bugs that Apple is aware of and will soon offer a fix for?

    Hi supjohn,
Thanks for your reply.  Many of the same things that cause a computer to fail to shut down can cause a computer to fail to go to sleep, so the troubleshooting is still pertinent to your issue.  If the steps described in the article don't resolve the issue for you, then it sounds like a different direction may be warranted here. Due to the nature of your issue you may find more information by using another one of Apple's support resources:

  • Feature Request: Solo Button That Attenuates But Does Not Mute Other Tracks

This would be a change in the design of the solo buttons, but it could be made backwards compatible.
I want to be able to solo a track and not have all of the unsoloed tracks be completely muted, but rather to be able to attenuate them 10 or 20 db, so they'd be a lot quieter but you'd still be able to hear them. Very useful to hear the part still in relation to the other parts, without screwing up the mix or the routing to do so.
To be compatible with the existing way it works, you could have a solo accompaniment-controlling volume control that, when at the minimum level would give you the current expected behavior of "solo" but if set to a higher value, would audibly play the non-soloed tracks.
    Macs   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

This is a cool idea. However, let's look at the 'mechanics' of how this would be implemented...
Theoretically, any audio objects could have their volume reduced internally by X dB. In other words, faders wouldn't be seen to move; instead, each audio object would have its volume attenuated internally and transparently. A global reduction of, say, 25 or 40 dB (user-definable) applied internally to every audio object would probably not be such a hard thing to do.
But if the goal is to have an accurate balance of audio playback underneath the loud, semi-solo'd instrument or track, the mechanism for reducing the volume would have to be aware of whether or not sends are pre/post fader to make buss-based effects have the proper amount of send. And reducing the level of tracks that use distortion or compression plugs would have to be reduced in such a way as to preserve the input level to those plugs so that their sound remained consistent. That's a heck of a lot of figuring-out for Logic to do, and would require a lot of sophisticated programming to accomplish.
And what about MIDI tracks? The only way to attenuate the volume of such tracks would be to send MIDI volume commands to each used MIDI device which would approximate that 25 or 40 dB cut. There are two concerns here:
    1. There is no standard by which a CC#7 value of X reduces the volume of a MIDI device by Y dB. Every manufacturer sets their own response curve for how CC#7 values affect volume. So even if a volume-reducing CC#7 value were sent to lower the volume of each piece of outboard MIDI, there's no guarantee that the balance of each piece of gear would be properly achieved.
    2. And what would be the benchmark CC#7 value of the track from which Logic calculates a CC#7 value for volume reduction to that device? Well, in the absence of at least one static automation node pre-set for each MIDI track, there's always the static position of the MIDI fader. But I'm not so sure that fader level is always reliable or accurate. So to create an absolutely safe 'mode' in which to recall the volume of MIDI gear when un-solo/dimming, as previously mentioned, you'd have to deliberately write in at least one static automation node for each MIDI track. And it's not always practical or desirable to set such a level in advance, particularly when you're just getting started on an idea and throwing up sounds and parts.
So just to make solo/dim functional, a lot of additional legwork would be needed to safeguard levels of MIDI tracks.
If MIDI gear's audio is heard in Logic via Input modules, it might be easy to reduce the volume on those Input object, but then again you have all of the same problems I describe above, and, not everyone uses Input objects to get MIDI-based audio into their systems.
Yes, it's a cool idea, but I think it would be extraordinarily difficult to accomplish.

  • IPhone 4 is fully charged but does not turn on

  • Dropped my iphone 4, the screen is not cracked, but does not turn on. how can i fix this?

I dropped my iphone 4 off my balcony. The screen is not cracked at all, but when it happened, the screen had discolored bars on it, and now it doesn't even turn on anymore. Is there any other solution other than buying another?

Try holding down the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.  If you are still having problems take it to and Apple store for repair.

  • My IPHONE 4 does not turn off

Reset: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

  • T410: display driver problem // display does not turn on again after turned of by e.g. (fn+F3)

    Hello,
    I have a problem with my T410 (model: 25223FG)with Nvidia NVS 3100M  (driver version 8.17.12.5738  (27.06.2010) ) .
The Fn+F3 Key-Command is configured to turn of the display.
In almost 50% of the cases where I use the Key-Command (fn+F3), the display turns off but does not turn on again on mouse movement or key-press or touch-pad action. The faulty behaviour occures always when the T410 is connected to the AC adapter. And the chance of the display not turning on again seems to become higher with increase of the duration between Key-Command and mouse movement.
In these test cases my energy manager configuration was set to not turn of anything, when connected to AC.
If I configure it to turn of the display after some time I am experiencing the same problem.
    So my question is:
Does anyone have a suggestion where to start? (display driver, bios,...)
    Regards
    Jonny

  • TS4062 I can't sync music on my computer to my ipod touch; the ipod shows up under Devices in itunes but does not show buttons (Summary etc.) when I click on it. Suggestions?

I can't sync music already on my computer to my ipod touch; the ipod shows up under Devices in itunes but does not show buttons (Summary etc.) when I click on it. I've read through all the Help tutorials but none of them say what to do if the sync options don't pop up when you highlight the device.  I've already spent way too much time trying to figure this out and it's driving me crazy!  Thanks for any help you can offer.

This is correct.  It will not show in finder.  It is not an external storage device.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The only exception is itunes purchases.  Open itunes connect ipod, do not sync, click File>Transfer Purchases

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is totally messed up by another program that you installed, and Barclays doesn't know you are using Firefox 3.6.6 - it probably looks like IE 6.0 to that website.
type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
    Filter = '''general.useragent.'''
Right-click the preferences that are '''bold''', one line at a time, and select '''''Reset''''',
    Then restart Firefox
