W510 not compatible with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic headset (earpiece)?

Hi all,
Have anyone came across this problem? I have 2 of those headset and I tried both in my W510. When I played any music source, the sound is so diffused like as if it works like a surround speaker that only produce presence sound. To get the vocal, I have to shift the Balance to the extreme left or right. First time encounter such problems. However, other headset work fine with my W510.

I have tried my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic headset on my other 2 desktops and 2 laptops, it work perfectly, I guess it has some incompatibility or something, Disable all enhancement in Sound does not solve the problems.

did you update your phone to the latest firmware for your phone currently it is v30......but it just got released so it may not be avaliable for all product codes just yet. also is your phone unbranded./unlocked if that is the case then you have a better change of updating than with a provider.

you can also try FOTA from your phone by plugging *#0000# on your home screen and see if your phone can pulll the updates.

Yes its activated... But when i tried fresh install of win 10, it didnt get activated. Headset BH-800 compatible with Nokia 5800 Xpress M...

Hello,
I had a Mr Handsfree Blue XS bluetooth headset with my previous phone, and now it appears it is not compatible with my Nokia 5800 (it pairs fine then disconnects after a few seconds, no matter what I do).
My firmware is 31.0.101.C04.01
I am considering buying a BH-800, but I'd like to be sure beforehand that it is indeed compatible with the 5800. Does anyone use it with this phone, or know for sure?
(What is the problem with the bluetooth on the Nokia 5800 anyway, I have tried to exchange files with my Sony-Ericsson and it worked fine, but failed miserabily when I tried with an Acer Liquid: it behaved as with my old bluetooth headset).
I have tested with a BH-105 in a shop, but I'd like to know which other models are compatible (maybe BH-102 too...?)
Anyway, will a BH-800 work?

No it is a common problem recently bought a BH-101 for my Nokia 6220 and everyone i spoke to on my phone complained of the echo. I took the BD-101 back and received a free replacement but it still echo'ed.
Yesterday i received a new Nokia N85. Still the same problem!
What is Nokia doing about this? Nothing!

Iconia W510 not compatible with Windows 10

My 64GB Iconia W510 is running all the latest drivers and updates available from Acer and Microsoft. I have the Get Windows 10 app in the task bar and have planned to upgrade. When I check Windows 10 compatability within the app, it says my PC cannot install Windows 10. It says "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator - Display will not work". Have other Iconia W510 users experienced the same and what is Acer's advice?

I had the update reserved and this morning (29.7) I clicked the windows icon and I got a report that my system is supported for Windows 10. About half an hour later, I clicked the icon again and got different report that my system is not supported. It probably said the Intel-thing mentioned above. After this, the icon disappeared from the task bar. What is going on? People have succesfully installed preview version of Windows 10 to W510 so compatibility should not be a problem.

Is my Nokia Asha 300 compatible with Nokia CK-7W?

I am trying to find out if I can connect my Nokia ASHA 300 to my vehicle kit, a Nokia CK-7W, and they won’t communicate with each other. Are these two items compatible and if so, so you have any tips for establishing connection?

Regarding your concern, we checked that your phone is not compatible with Nokia CK-7W accessory. That is the main reason why you are having a hard time connecting those two with each other. However, we have identified that there are some carkits that you can use with your phone.
Listed below are the said compatible carkits:
- CK-300
- CK-25W
- CK-600

Could not connect with nokia pc suite

I have one nokia 2690 and in its connectivity option is given nokia pc suite. I installed nokia pc suite 7.1 on pc. But when i tried to connect my phone with usb cable a message from the bottom right corner of the taskbar of pc pops up and says "usb device not recognised" and also "click this balloon to fix this problem". When I clicked on the balloon it opened a window in the first tab of which my usb posts were listed- one was showing HID COMPLIANT MOUSE and the other in which i had connected the phone was showing UNKNOWN DEVICE. The other tab was of DRIVER and it shows No drivers are installed for this device. But I know that windows and nokia pc suite automatically install required drivers. I disconnected cable from my phone and also switched the usb ports but again the same message appeared. I also uninstalled each and everything that nokia pc suite installed on my pc and also the nokia pc suite itself and again reinstalled pc suite but of no help.What would you suggest- is my cable not compatible with my phone(i borrowed it from my friend but it connect to my phone perfectly) or the cable is damaged or nokia pc suite version 7.1 not compatible with nokia 2690 or anything else? Problems to sincronize Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic with...

My Nokia 5800 xpressmusic sistematically sincronizes extremely bad with Outlook in Windows 7. Either it duplicates contacts, or sincronizes some and some not, many contacts incomplete but with duplicated info within, or deletes from Outlook contacts that I need, or aborts the sincronisation randomly.
The last time I had erased all the contacts, notes and calendar from the mobile in order to sincronize from scratch with a laboriously just depurated Outlook and what happened? it deleted half of the contacts, the notes apparently sincronized well, and the calendar aborted the sincronization repeatedly. Does anyone have a clue o what is going wrong before I buy another mobile brand?The software in the mobile and OVI Suite are updated. Anyway, this has been happening with previous versions as well. Another problem is that the fields in Contacts do not match after sincronization with those in Outlook, and the information in each contact is partially duplicated and/or incomplete. I can send printed screen of the windows in which the errors have been informed.

I have exactly the same problem.
It is very often impossible to synchronize.
I am able to send SMS-messages (via bluetooth connection), but unable to synchronize.
When clicking on the "synchronize" button or when choosing "synchronize" from the pulldown menu, OVI Suite may or may not synchronize.
I am unable to keep my Calendar in sync.
If this does not get resolved soon, I will get another phone and it will certainly not be a Nokia.

Plantronics Voyager Pro headset NOT compatible with 3GS

I've been having terrible problems with my Plantronics Voyager pro all singing and all dancing bluetooth headset and my 3GS.
I've tried 2 units to no avail and have a long case log with Plantronics support.
Apparently the inbuilt noise cancelling "intelligence" in the headset is conflicting with the iPhone noise cancelling electronics, producing a terrible user experience and is not just specific to Plantronics headsets, but all those that rely on headset noise-cancelling (like the Jawbone etc..)
Anyway, I notice that Plantronics have now changed their website to advise that the Voyager Pro is NOT compatible with the 3GS (in fact is seems like none of the noise-cancelling ones are)
This seems like a schoolboy error on Apple's part and speaking to Plantronics, they have no idea if and when a resolution is likely to be forthcoming!

I wish I had known this a few months ago. I had an original iPhone using a Plantronics Voyager 510. Everyone always said it was like I was in the same room talking to them. I bought a new 3Gs, and a Plantronics Voyager Pro. I seem to be able to hear just fine, but people I talk to keep having me repeat everything. Most people say it sounds like I'm talking to them from inside a hole somewhere. I got my headset last July. I switched back to my old bluetooth headset, it didn't resolve the problem, so I know it wasn't the Voyager Pro. I thought it might be interference from the metal cover I had bought from AT&T to protect the iPhone, and removing the cover seemed to give people better clarity, but they still complain. Now for long conversations I've had to return to using a corded headset.

When I want to install Nokia Messaging just downloaded from email.nokia.com website, I get an error message saying that the application is not compatible with my phone ?!!!!

I just bought my new Nokia N95 and I would like to buy a Nokia Car kit that allow me to enable all the features of the N95 so I thought to buy the CK-20W but in the Nokia table of compatibility says that is not compatible with Music with Bluetooth connection (A2DP), I read that Nokia N95 has Bluetooth profile (A2DP) so why doesn’t it work with the CK-20W Music Connection?

Problem updating Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Hello,
First excuse me for my bad English.
I have just updated my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with the USB cable and plugged into the mains. At the end of the update, a window told me that I could unplug my phone and nothing more since it does not turn over: just a vibration but no screen display. I removed the battery and did another test and still nothing. Is there a solution or should I return it to the VAS.

Hi, Did the phone complete the hard reset? I.e. after the phone is completely started up, it prompts for a country selection? To do the reset, the phone must be turned off first, then hold the relative buttons together / simultaneously while turning on, until prompted for the country selection.
If you managed to complete the hard reset, and your problem is still occurring, then please keep me updated as to how you resolved it, just incase I need to also try it

Apple earpiece compatible with nokia or not ? I've nokia 5800. I googled a lot but found nothing but this.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic- No Apps show up after upgr...

My Nokia 5800 XpressMusic shipped with a 4GB memory card. But that was too small for me, I used up almost all of it, only 500 MB is left.
So I bought a 8GB MicroSD HC memory card. I then took the 4GB out and inserted the new one. And then I transferred all of my data (pics,vdos,music,docs, apps etc) using a backup of my 4GB memory card which I created using Nokia Ovi Suite sometime before that.
But the backup was not successful, though all of my Images,videos,music, docs etc were restored, I dont see any of the apps I installed on that old memory card restored here in this new one.
But the main problem is that they are there, they were transferred. But they don't show up in the applications folder. I think they are hidden cuz when I tried to install one of the missing apps (Google Maps), my phone said that app already exists and asked me if I want to replace that etc. Also same with the Ovi Store app. If I try to again download the missing items, It doesn't work (the download button is greyed out).
This problem happened though I restored my backups twice.
Please give me a solution on how to fix this. I really need it. It took me a lot of time to download all of those apps. So I really need it now. How do I make them appear?

Since you already have the back up of all your content, do a soft reset and only restore contacts, messages photos, music etc but not any apps. Then see if ovi store let you downloade them again.
You do the soft reset by dialling *#7370# with default code 12345 (if you have not changed it your self)
This will wipe the phone memory - therfor the back up. You might also have to format the memory card if there's something there triggering ovi store to believe the apps are already installed.

Dear Sirs,
I just bought a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. I am confused regarding which programme is the appropriate one to synchronize my computer with the Telephone. Is it Ovi Or PC Suite?
I have tried Ovi and I found very difficult to follow is there any tutorial or manual guidance?

I have both Nokia PC Suite and Ovi Suite installed - not a problem. I use only Nokia PC Suite to synchronize my contacts from my PC to my phone. If you didn't have any data on your phone to begin with, or if everything is already available on your PC, I'd suggest setting the Nokia PC Suite sync application to overwrite contents of the phone once. After you sync your phone & PC, everything should be back to normal. Then you can change the setting back to merging entries from both the phone & PC so that both are updated each time.
From what I understand (and I could be wrong, because I don't use Ovi Suite), Ovi Suite keeps your contacts on a server. I wasn't interested in that and just wanted to sync with Outlook, so I stick with PC Suite.
