W510 Speaker issues

I looked around and saw that some are having trouble with their right speakers but my problem is that my volume goes down randomly to where it sounds sort of like it is underwater and very quiet and then all at once it will shoot back up to clear sound. It does this on both internal and external speakers(such as headphones). What could the problem be? Oh and I am running windows 7 32bit if that matters.

Disable Audio Enhancement, restart Windows. If problem still exist, contact Lenovo/IBM Technical Support

Or you can try this workaround (I am current using)

  • IPhone 5 battery life and speaker issues

Hey guys. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but firstly. The battery life *****. And really *****. I let phone completely drain at least twice a month. Then fully charge it. Not a huge user but data I know eats it. We are talking literally within two hours of not using it and it will be down to 59%. Didn't expect this off a phone like this. iPhone 4S beats it hands down. Considering going back to it tbh.
Speaker issues are terrible. Tried the music on full pause. Then exit. Then test but still nothing. Rang apple they say its not a fault but why would other people be reporting it.
iPad 4 users. Do you have issues with battery life too? And very slow charge and very quick drain. This is a joke. Nearly a Grands worth of kit and you feel like your using a Nokia 3310.
    #annoyed!

If tried techniques to get the battery to act right, such as rebooting by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, and those things haven't helped, take the iPhone and iPad to the Apple store genius bar and have the technicians test them to see if there is a hardware fault.  Do that before the warranty runs out so you are covered.

  • Speaker issue after Mavericks Upgrade

I recently upgraded to Mavericks on my Mac Pro (mid 2010 ver.)
Now when I try to listen to Pandora, iTunes, or anything that pushes sound thru the O/S, the sound "jumps" between my Bose 5 companion computer speakers (USB) and the internal Mac Pro speakers.
Additionally, when I go to Preferences-----Sound, you can literally see the O/S jumping back and forth to these two rows  "Built In   Internal Speakers" and "Bose USB Audio    USB". More specifically, you will hear the music thru the Bose speakers and then about every 20 seconds (sometimes it goes for over a minutes) it will "beeeeeeep" and then jump to the Mac Pro internal speakers.
I tried deleting the two .plist files as previous mentioned in past threads with no luck. Before I upgraded to Mavericks I never had ANY sound/speaker issues what so ever.
    Any suggestions? Thank you

    Update Saturday Jan 4, 2014
Before my Mavericks upgrade on my Mac Pro, no problems ever (use my Mac 4-8 hours a day) using my Bose Companion 5 USB connected speakers. I've tried shutting the Mac down and plugging the Bose USB cable into another open USB port = no joy and other combinations. I tested the same Bose Companion 5 USB speakers on two other laptops with NO issues (ouch...they were running Windows 7) I have deleted the two .plist files, did the CMD+OPT+P+R reset, etc... = no change. Looked into Midi Audio Setup and did not see anything in there to change even though I tried a couple of things and no avail (there was no Garageband setting/entry).
I still get a solid "BEEEEEEEEP" sound every 20+ seconds, when the sounds tries to toggle, by itself, between the Bose USB Audio device and the Internal Speakers.

  • Palm TX speaker issues

Ok.  First of all, I have to admit to still loving my Palm TX even though Palm has abandoned the stand-alone PDAs.  That being said, I'm still troubleshooting my Palm TX speaker issues.  I previously had no sound from the headphones or built-in speaker.  I have replaced the built-in speaker, but nothing changed.  Lo & behold when I look at the headphone jack one side is disconnected from the motherboard.  When I physically hold the headphone jack in place, I can get some sound from the headphone jack (left headphone when headphone is completely inserted, right headphone when partially inserted).  However, no matter what I cannot get any sound from the built-in speaker. I have tried canned air & WD-40 & when I have the TX disassembled, I can see the headphone switch (at least I think it's the headphone switch) moving on/off.
Now, if I solder the headphone jack onto the motherboard will this complete the connections for the built-in speaker (so that the TX will work as originally manufactured)?  Or should I try to find a headphone jack replacement?  I've searched for a motherboard replacement but this seems cost prohibitive since everything else is in perfect working order.
Thanks in advance for your help/assistance.
    Post relates to: Palm TX

It would be my best guess that if you repair the broken headphone jack, it will return normal operation of the speakers.

Yes, so long as it's within the original purchase year (ie, the purchase from Apple, not from your friend).

  • Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Speaker issues not covered by FAQs

FSoundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Speaker issues not covered by FAQs? ?
    Greetings..
Running into a bit of a issue here I can't seem to fix. I've gone through the troubleshooting guides and FAQs already and they aren't resolving the issue.
My normal setup is a couple of desktop speakers plugged to the rear of the card through the standard ports (non-digital) and a headset with mic plugged to the device in front that includes volume controls for both mic and speakers.
I've just did a complete reinstall of Windows XP (32 bit) including everything up through SP3 and a reinstall of the drivers and associated software applications for the card as well.
The problem I am having is that I can no longer make the rear speakers (desktop speakers) play when plugged in. The 2 headset speakers still play just fine that are plugged in the front however.
What should I do to resolve this issue so that I can have both the desktop speakers and headset speakers both playing? I'm fairly sure I'm just missing a setting somewhere but for the life of me I can't figure where to fix this.
    Thank you,
    Culann HS

JRe: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Speaker issues not covered by FAQs0 I'm afriad that the CMSS3D option did not work? ? I still cannot get any speakers to play out of the rear of the soundcard.
As I said before, the goal is to try to get sound to play out of both the headset and the speakers attached to the rear of the soundcard simuntaneously.
The headset is plugged into one of those devices in the front that is in a 5 & /4" bay that has the individual knobs for adjusting volume for the headset and outbound levels for the microphone.
The speakers are plugged into the back of the soundcard and do not play any sound in any of the sockets, starting from the firewire port and counting 3 over.
Any suggestions? I? thought it might have something to do with the setting of the speakers from control panel - > Sounds and Audio Devices -> Advanced and picking the right choice there. No luck however. Same for the Creative Speaker Settings as well.
I'm at wits end and I'd be very thankful to whoever can resolve this for me. =)

  • Iphone 3G S speaker issues with SMS

My new iphone has a speaker issue. When I get a text message, email, or alert the first one sounds like the speaker is blown out or distorted. However, if I go into setting to recreate the sound, it's normal. It seems to be just on the first text if the phone has been sitting for like 5 minutes. I called Apple and they said to do a restore and set up as a new phone. Did that and it is still doing it. Has anyone else had this problem or swapped their phones out yet? Just want to know if this is a hardware or software issue. I am leaning towards software because if it was hardware wouldn't it do it everytime?

I believe it may be a Sofware problem. Others are having various issues with sound as well...

  • Internal/external speaker issues

I have a MacPro that is just a few months old.
Some video wants to play only through the Mac's internal speaker. As I type this I have the iPod special event from the 5th playing and it is coming through the internal speaker.
Meanwhile if I try to adjust the volume with the keyboard or Finder interface the system sound that acknowledges the adjustment plays through the external speakers as well as other system sounds. iTunes will still play MP3s/etc and most videos through the external speakers. Usually just some lower quality video will play sound only through the internal speakers.
I have run all the current Quicktime/MacOS updates. Any ideas?

    Tim,
I came across this article yesterday:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300832
Your comment about quality reminded me of it.
I've had similar audio randomness, but seems to have subsided. No clue why. I've got serious kernel panic issues seperate from the audio thing, so I am following many rabbit trials in search of an answer.
Hope this is not redundant for you and is of use.

  • Texts out of order; phone overheating; speaker issues

Hi, I am having four problems with my Galaxy S5 and wondered if anyone knew a solution: (1) My text messages come out of order.  This has happened since I got the phone, which is on network time. (2) My text messages are delayed - both sending and receiving.  They get to others late and they come to me late. (3) My phone frequently gets extremely hot and the battery drains rapidly.   From 95% to 15% in an hour or two. (4) When I am talking on the phone, the phone randomly switches to speakerphone so the person I am talking to comes out of the speaker.  The speaker button, however, is not activated.   Many thanks for any help!

Hi there! @BlueSkies84 thanks for posting your concerns. I’m sorry to hear about all the problems with your phone.
Since we are looking at multiple issues that cannot be controlled via the phone settings, I’d recommend you back your phone up and perform a factory reset. For steps on this please visit us at www.att.com/devicehowto/ and select the make and model of your phone. On the left column you’ll find steps to back up the phone under backup and restore and reset steps under troubleshooting and reset device.
    Hope this helps!

  • Also Droid 4 speaker issues

I cannot hear phone calls except through the speaker phone. This started about 5 months ago. At first I thought it was connection issues.  Any suggestions.

Let's bring back the noise, kstile3! Does the audio work with headphones connected? Does there appear to be any dirt or lint in the headphone jack? How long have you had the device? Is there any physical or liquid damage? I am eager to get this resolved!

  • Ear speaker issue comes out after 3 days!

i just bought this phone 4 days ago hoping for the best quality as i had xperience before in neoV. But im now very disappointed because my ear speaker is having a shadow soud (like tuning in an am radio) after a sound. imagine after only 4 days. i think it starts after i used my phone in loudspeaker mode for 1 hour. but atleast if this is a great phone it will not happen. This is my last purchase in sony. Im doubtful in their future designs. Im not happy to use this phone, planning to bring it back to phone shop i bought or i well sell and get another brand.

In such a case your best option may be returning the device back to the place of purchase, however such an issue can be caused by third party software or software not working as it should.
You could attempt a software repair first before taking it back.
Here's how to run the repair on PC Companion:
    1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
    2. Phone Software Update.
    3. Start.
    4. Repair Phone
    5. Continue
    6. Accept data removal
    7. Next
    8. Wait for prepare
    9. Select Phone
    10. Follow the connection steps
    And Bridge for Mac:
    1. Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
    2. On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia Device".
    3. Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the following window.
    4. Select Continue on the following page.
    5. Wait until the initialising step is finished the continue as below.
6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears
    7. Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that you are holding the relevant button down before during and after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.
Let us know how you get on.

  • BBW and Speaker issues

I'm recently bought new BB Z10 and I'm facing two issues:
    1- BBW not opened.
    2- Speaker not working.
I searched in the internet and tried all below solution without any sucsse:
    - Remove battery and restart the phone,
    - Open music and remove phone cover and press in that area above speakers.
    - Regarding BBW I tried to open it from Games, through url.
    - Restoring using BB link.
    - Upgrade to 10.2
I'm not sure it's a hardware or software issue, it's new BB z10.
Please help me, your cooperation is highly appreciated.

Some People had same problem and they say press some area above the speakers and it's fixed..!!
But for me not fixed. Unfortunately I haven't warranty.

  • LG Spectrum - Microphone and Speaker issues in a call

I have two LG Spectrum phones and both have the same problem.  First problem: When in a call and using Speakerphone, voices over speaker on Spectrum are distorted / garbled unless volume is reduced to lowest 2 settings.  However, playing music over the speaker at full volume works without issue.  It appears the incoming Verizon Network Voice amplitude is too high and is overdriving the speaker.  Second problem:  The microphone volume is too low which causes cutouts and muffled volume to the other person.  However, when using speakerphone mode, the microphone volume is significantly better to the other person, but still have "First problem" with Speakerphone listed above.
Is there a fix for these issues or will there be any software updates to resolve these issues?

So this seems to be a design issue that should be addressed by LG AND Verizon. We spent $$$ (although maybe discounted) and we deserve products that meet our basic needs, i.e. I bought a PHONE and should be able to use it as a PHONE, hence smartPHONE.
I also have 2 Spectrum's in which both have the same call quality issue of mumbling. Unfortunately we did not realize this to be such an issue and could not return them until 18 days after our purchase; and Verizon only backs their products for returns 15 days. Now we are stuck with 2 poor phone quality phones until we are "eligible" for another upgrade or pay full price (overpriced) for new phones. When we tried to return them on the 18th day the salesmen said the problem was the screen protector because it was covering the screen and the microphone was under the screen. Although I pointed out that in fact the microphone was not covered because it is on the bottom, hence the microphone hole. He said the only other option would be a warranty replacement. I guess my conversations with my wife will be limited to only a few minutes while I am traveling 2 weeks at a time for the next year and half, thank you Verizon for standing behind your products and taking care of your customers.
    Sorry for the rant.

  • Z10 speaker issue

I'd anyone have issue with a crackling sound when you are on the phone? I can usually hear the crackling sound when the other speaks. Sounds like the speaker is "Blown" after listening to music too loud. I'm thinking about taking it back to best buy to see if they will exchange it.

    Hello femjock7,
Does the same issue occur if the volume is at not on full? Do you have access to another BlackBerry Z10 smartphone you can compare it with?

  • Blackberry Curve with Blue Ant 4 Speaker issue

I just purchased a Blue Ant 4 speaker phone. It pairs automatically with my phone without issues but my problem is with voice dialing. In order to activate this option I have to say Phone Commands. It then activates the voice dialing option and I can make calls. However when the call is ended the voice dialing option ends as well. The only way I can re-activate the voice dialing feature - I have turn off the speaker phone and turn it back on and say Phone Commands again.  Is there any way for the voice dialing feature to stay active even when a call is ended?  Also is there anyway to have voice dialing feature to automatically be activated when I turn the blue ant on so I don't have to say Phone Command every time?
If anyone has the step by step actions on how to do this I would appreciate it  -  I am a bit challenged with this technology!  Thanks

I'm saddened to hear that you've had such an experience with your Galaxy Note 4's.  It sounds like Verizon has done everything possible to assist with your Samsung devices.  Have you noticed any patterns to when the malfunctions occur?
