W520 Fn+ F5 Bluetooth Radio

My W520 is about 3 months old.
Every second time I turn on my computer the 'Bluetooth Radio' is missing in the F5 key popup.
When I turn the 'Wireless Radio' of and on and do a reboot of the computer I find the bluetooth then reappears.
But this is annoying in the extreme.
Obviously some hardware issue with the Bluetooth!
I have browsed these forums and have updated to the latest drivers, software, hotkeys. Everything is all up to date.
But the Bluetooth continues to do phantom disappearances on almost every second boot!!!!
I'd be grateful for some advice please about how to fix this.
Cheers

The issue, I didn't state specifically,
But, I use a Lenovo Bluetooth Mouse with the computer, and every second boot my mouse just does not work.
And I can't turn the Bluetooth to 'On' because it doesnt even appear in the Fn F5 key popup.
Every second boot my Bluetooth mouse is simply not functioning.

  • Enabling BlueTooth Radio - Not showing up in FnF5 screen

When I hit the FnF5 button, I only get the Wireless LAN Radio option and not the BlueTooth. What should I do or check to enable my Bluetooth radio? When I first got my new laptop the radio was on by default and working. Since then I have turned off a lot off options for services that I don't use and might have turned off Bluetooth accidentally. When I reboot I can see the BlueToot LED come on for a split second at the start and then turns off as the laptop starts up.
I don't see the Bluetooth adapter on my Device Manager list too. If everything was working normally under what heading should the adapter be listed?
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • My iPhone5 won't reconnect to my Subaru Forester Bluetooth radio. I have to go and delete the iphone from the radio and pair the phone and radio everytime. I never had this issue with my samsung

I have a 2012 Subaru Forester and when I get in, my iPhone5 won't connect to my Bluetooth radio.  I have my Bluetooth radio knows about the phone, but the iPhone5 just won't connect. I have to go and delete the iPhone5 from the radio memory and then pair the radio & the iPhone5 again, then it connects and works great until I shut off the car. Then when I get back in or restart the car I have to go through this all over again. Anybody got any ideas? It is driving me crazy and i just got my iPhone5 a week ago. Now I am not a real iPhone Savvy user, so it may just be something I have not set properly. So can some one Help? Please!

My Subaru Forester 2012 wouldn't reconnect automatically to my new phone.
It did my head in for months.
Thanks guys, because of you, I worked this out.  My Forester needed the "handsfree" setup, not just a Bluetooth pairing.  Reading your posts, suggesting to setup the phone through the steering wheel buttons worked.
But only to initiate the hansfree component.
From turning car accessories on - Pressing "off hook" button on the wheel, initiates the "handsfree" setup.  Because I'd done this originally, my old phone was in here.  Deleted it using the tune dial (no voice commands) and deleted pairing on iPhone 4.
Turned car off, and back on again, pressed "off hook" and using tune dial, recorded new phone profile name, and paired the phone.  Now it auto connects everytime I get in the car
    Woohoo.

  • Is it possible to adjust the strength of the bluetooth radio on the iPhone?

    Hi,
I am attempting to use the iPhone bluetooth to control a third party device that also has bluetooth. Unfortunately, when I send an instruction from the iPhone to the device, the device and the iPhone become unpaired and the instruction is lost. I have heard that increasing the strength of the bluetooth signal could fix this problem. How would I go about adjusting the power setting of the bluetooth radio? (battery life is not a concern here). Or is there another way to solve this problem?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • How can I turn on the integrated bluetooth radio while running windows 7 through bootcamp?

I am running a partitioned windows 7 64-bit on my macbook pro. The integrated bluetooth radio is turned on while using the Mac OS, but not while running windows 7. How can I fix this?

Another way to do that is to turn on Verbose Mode and watch the processor IDs that are enabled. And/or open the kernel.log in Console and find the beginning of today's boot. You should see a list of "AppleACPICPU: ProcessorId=# LocalApicId=# Enabled" counting up to the number of processors your Mac could have. For example, I've got one CPU but the Mac could hold two. Each CPU has six processors and each processor has two threads, so the kernel.log shows ProcessorId 0 to 11 having LocalApicId's enabled and 12 to 23 having LocalApicId's disabled (because the second CPU isn't installed).

  • Alpine bluetooth radio with Iphone 5c

my new Iphone 5c pairs fine with my alpine bluetooth radio. However it does not do anything after that. For example, I can't make calls or play music. How do I fix this? Is it the Iphone or my radio? I've seen other people have the same problems.

Have the same problem with Mac mini "Core 2 Duo" 2.66 (Server-Mid 2010) running Yosemite and iPhone 5c running iOS 8.1. The devices do show up in each others discovery list, however connection fails during paring. No connection established.

  • Bluetooth radio toggle while docked

Hi all!  Proud new w530 owner here.  I use my machine docked with the lid close pretty extensively.
Unfortunately, I don't have an Fn key on my external keyboard.  Does anyone know a convenient way to toggle the bluetooth radio in this state?  A way to remap the application normally lauched by Fn+F5 would be perfect.
    Thanks for your help!

  • T430 bluetooth mouse freeze, requires stop/start of bluetooth radio to fix

    Hi,
Several times a week, my bluetooth mouse will freeze.  I can still use the touchpad or the red dot.  Fix is to Fn+F5 and stop and start the bluetooth radio.  Looking in Lenovo System Update, I can see the Bluetooth driver is a recent install and is version 6.5.1.4500 for Windows 7 [32/64].
Mouse is Targus bluetooth mouse, model: AMB09US
    Thanks

  • Bluetooth Radio not found after Standy in Windows XP

I am running Windows XP SP3 with Boot Camp in my Core2Duo MacBook Pro (late 2006). I use an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse with my system. When I initially boot into XP, both devices work fine. When I put the system in standby mode, however, it seems it no longer can find the radio once the system wakes back up. My device no longer connect, and when I try and add a device again, the system shows no known devices, and when i tell it that the device is ready to be found, I immediately get a message that no Bluetooth radio can be found. A restart solves the problem, since I often use the unit while traveling, it's a pain to have to restart each time to use an external mouse.
    Any suggestions?

I think many have this problem, us included. Only way to get Mighty Mouse & Keyboard back is to repower by flipping the switches -- not user friendly in the least.

  • Vista thinks bluetooth 'radio is "USB Human Interface Device"

    Hi all,
I've been having this problem for a couple of weeks now; it came straight out of the blue - perhaps triggered by an update? I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate (still in trial period, actually, as I haven't bothered to buy it yet) on a 17'' MBP, and everything has been working fine as far as Mac hardware... or was... until my bluetooth radio suddenly stopped showing up.
My Bluetooth devices still connect fine (well, only my wireless keyboard which doesn't need to be paired, my Mighty Mouse isn't working now), but do not show up in the Bluetooth Devices control panel applet. My radio shows up as a 'USB Human Interface Device' in the Device Manager, and no amount of uninstalling/reinstalling my BC drivcers is helping.
This is becoming a problem for me; I do a lot of gaming and need my Mighty Mouse.
    All help is REALLY appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Bookworm

It IS, but so are all USB Mice, Keyboards, etc, etc, etc. My issue is that because Windows Vista cannot specify it as being an Apple Bluetooth Radio, I cannot control it - and thus cannot use it to setup my mouse. The issue seems to be that the drivers for the Apple Bluetooth Radio are not being used when my adapter is detected - instead, Windows is defaulting to a generic USB driver which would work for most USB devices - but doesn't allow things that require specific device types to work, such as pairing with bluetooth.
Happily, I have managed to obtain a fairly good USB mouse... the problem is that this ***** up a much-needed accessible USB port. I have to get a port extender or something...

  • Bluetooth radio disables itself

My wife has a BlackBerry Pearl and since she is not on an enterprise server, I have it set up to connect to our home PC using Bluetooth.  It works beautifully and will perform a wireless sync of her calendar and contacts whenever she is within range of the PC.  The only problem is that the BT radio on the phone has a mind of its own and turns itself off after some time.  I haven't determined if there is any sort of cue for it to turn itself off or not.  I just know that every couple of days, I grab her phone to make sure that she has been syncronizing regularly (of course she doesn't) and the BT radio is off.  I then enable the radio, at which point the PC prompts for a connection and the sync routine then launches.
I've seen other threads in this forum that talk about the BT radio disabling after a period of inactivity when connected to a headset.  I would assume that this is the same problem.  Any answers???
