W530 Color Calibrator does not start

Fresh install of Win 7 (64 bit) on W530.
Applied all the latest drivers including the latest Xrite driver
Calibrator appears to open correctly but at the 'Measure' point of the process .. nothing happens.
No lights, no beep ... nothing.
I have the Xrite window directly to cover the sensor.
Any ideas?

W530 Color management does not work

I just received a W530 to replace a W520 from lenovo. I've loaded my monitor profiles that I've been using on the W520 into the proper directory on system32. Using the color management control panel I've set up the w530 identically to the W520, however, when I load and select different profiles for my monitor, and make them the default, nothing happens, the monitor remains the same. This happens even loading completely wrong profiles that would make the monitor look terrible if they loaded. On the W520 selecting profiles and making them the default under the color managment control panel works properly.
Any suggestions would be very welcome at this point. The display bios settings are identical on both machines, as are the settings for the monitor under the advanced tab.

SAP MMC does not start and red in color

Hi Gurus,
We are in a process of installing EhP4 and there were lots of errors. We reverted back to old version.
After moving back to old state i.e., EhP3, system does not start.
1. SAPosCol does not start acutomatically in the service
2. sapmmc does not show database details
3. When I try to start the server through SAPMMC, all esmart03 0, esmart03 1 turns to red.
Please let me know how i can fix this problem.
I want to post screen shot, but i am not sure how i can post the same here.

We had taken system system backup (complete "E" drive) where SAP server is installed. I had to stop EhP4 process as we got a requirement to bringup NWBC.
We restored the "E" drive content and then restarted the SAP server.
After that servies did not start and MMC does not show up Database details.
Do i need to create services and MMC to fix the issues??

My battery still does not start recharging when less then 10% charged

Hi,
I have been having problem with my laptop (Pavilion dv7) for the last three weeks if not more. Basically the battery does not start charging when it is less then 10% charged. I tried calibrating the battery and the problem seemed to disapear for some time. However after less then a week it starting doing the same thing again.
When I try the battery healt teset (that comes by default with the laptop) it gives me a message that battery should be replaced and also gives me the warrenthy id. Should I go with the warrenthy id to the place where I bought the laptop to get a new one? Or is there anything else I can do to try and solve the problem.

Call up HP Tech Support, provide them the warranty ID, to get your battery replaced...Given if your Laptop is not more than 1 yr old, as Battery has one 1 Yr warranty on it...

Macbook does not start

Greetings. This is my issue:
I don't know why the macbook does not restart, if you try to restart it, it comes to black screen and i had to press the power button twice (Turn it absolutely off and turn it up), i took it to an apple authorized service center and he put an external HDD and restart it from this HDD then restart my macbook and it restarted normally, a few days later the problem persist.
Now the big deal: I turned it on, open safari and immediately it comes black screen and the status white led start blinking, i press the power button and stop blinking and press it again but it does not start, the blinking comes again... I left it off for an hour or so.
One hour later it boots normally but in few seconds it freezes and becomes a message in the screen that reads: " You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button". Then i press the power button, when i tried to restart it again there came a lot of strange stripes in the screen, gray and black with some color dots, a very weird thing, the "Start up chime" sounds about tree times and the stripes keep changing, always stripes. I restart it again, and the same thing happens one more time, and the third time i restart it it does not show anything on screen, all black and no sound, i tried putting out battery and everything Apple says to do when macbook does not boot, but nothing happens... i press the power button the sound of the HDD (I guess) that always sound, i can hear it, and the status white led is on, but not blinking, but nothing else....
what should it be?
it is a late 2007 macbook and out of warranty, does not have apple care.

Satellite A200 does not start anymore.

Hello, im trying to find a whats going on with my laptop. It's a Satellite A200 on Windows 7 professional.
From a few days ago i cant start the laptop anymore. It doesnt look like a software issue because when i push the power button, the only thing that happens is the power led turns on (blue color) and, 2 seconds later, starts to blink orange. And never passes this stage.
The screen remains as off, and i think, the BIOS does not start as well.
Ive already tried to remove the Ram and the hard drive - Keeps doing the same. Doesnt even bleeps over the missing Ram or drive!!!
Anyone have any ideia about whats going on??!! Please anwser!

Unfortunately, this is a common problem for many laptop models. My old laptop (non Toshiba one) also had such problem with southbridge malfunction. I just threw it into garbage as replacing mobo is pretty expensive procedure. it's better to buy new one or second-hand

[solved] LXDE does not start

I have installed lxde accoriding to the wiki (I was using xfce, which starts fine using the follwing configuration files, without the lines, marked by #new) and I have adopted the configuration files, but lxde does not start. I'm not using a login manager, x starts automatically.

So, when you login, startx is not executed? Or does X start and immediately exit/crash? Do other parts of .bash_profile get executed, i.e., if you echo $DESKTOP_SESSION, does it say LXDE, do you see the results of .bash_rc (prompt, aliases)? Then check if XDG_VTNR is set, and DISPLAY.
(After your edit:) If you only changed the exec line, then I assume X still starts, but startlxde fails? So X immediately exits or something? Do you get any useful messages in the logs?

Color Highlights does not work for chart

When I set the color coding in the chart, it works fine if I run the crystal report on the same DB that I use to design the report.
Problem occurs if I run the report on another DB. Color Highlights does not work in that case.
I am using JRC to run the reports.

In chart expert there is a tab "Color Highlightsu201D. In this tab one can specify the condition based coloring.
In my case I want to show "RED" color for Unauthorized events andu201D GREEN" color for Authorized Events.
While creating a report suppose I am using a database server "DB-A".I set the color highlights in the chart as I explained. Please be noted that when we click on the color highlights tab it asks for the database login.
To view the report we have our own server and we are using JRC APIs.
Hence I map my report with server and try to view the Report. My Server is connected with database "DB-B" which is different from the database I used to create the report.
This time color Highlight I have specified while creating the report does not work.
I have tried using the "Format Series Riser" option. But the problem with this is that, it does not color the chart conditionally.
I mean if I give GREEN for Authorized and RED for Unauthorized. It gives the green color either to Authorized or Unauthorized which so ever occur first in the chart.
For example:-suppose there is no Authorized Event on date 15-Jan-2009 and I select the date range starting from 15-Jan.In this case Unauthorized event is the first to print on the chart hence this event get the green color though I expect this events to be in RED color.

Old G4 does not start

Hello,
I recently obtained a Power Mac G4 for free somewhere. As a mac fanatic I would love to get it running, but it doesn't seem to start.
With "Does not start" I mean it does absolutely nothing, no fans, no lights, no sound, no nothing. My first thought was that the PSU must have died, so I connected a PSU from a regular pc to test my theory. This got me a tiny bit further: when i press the power button a tiny red LED flashed once (next to the RAM slots), but that's it.
I tried the regular troubleshooting:
- disconnected all cables from motherboard
- replaced battery with a brand new one
- reset CUDA
Yet all I can get it to do is make the tiny red led flash once. What's also weird is that even the other power supply does not turn on, not even the fan works.
Is there anything else I can try? I don't mind "getting my hands dirty" hardware-wise.

Everything works great now. The only problem I had was that the original fan cable was a 2-pin plug, while the ATX psu fan-power-cable is a 2x2 molex-like thing. This was easily solved by cutting away the plastic around the mac fan cable, and plugging the 2 exposed pins in 2 of the molex holes (matching the cable colors).
Everything works great now, the g4 booted in OSX 10.4 to my surprise, which runs surprisingly smooth on a 400mhrz/512mb mac :/

H530s Does not start

Hi All, Thank you for your support in advance.
It has been over 5months that I have purchased this H530s desktop. I setup the system and used it for a while, then I had to move to India and got the desktop alone with me. I have been using it in India for 1month now.
All of a sudden H530s does not start after I shutdown. After disconnecting the powersupply and reconnecting I was able to start the system after several attempts. This has repeted atleast 5 times so far. Never faced a problem restarting the system, or never did the system shutdown on me abruptly.
I checked for a voltage switch on the system did not find any. So I am possitive this problem has nothing to do with voltage.
Please advice on what to do. Thank You.

India has 230V power, there is a voltage switch on the back of the power supply, it would be reddish-orange in color.

WebAnalysis does not start after workspace is set on Windows Authentication

I've used [doc Hyperion System 9.3.x Configuring the BI+ Workspace for Single Sign-On (SSO) with Internet Information Services (IIS) [ID 1100096.1] to configure SSO for workspace users. It works fine. Though since then the WA service does not start anymore. The error message which is raised sounds very very familar but still I am not able to tackle it. I am very sure it had something to do with rights/ permissions, but also after playing around with IIS and ntfs permissions for hours I can't get SSO en WA both working at the same time.
As soon as I set my workspace aplication in IIS on windows integrated, the SSO is working but as soon as a I restart the WA service it fails to start. When I set the workspace application IIS on anonymous the WA service start fine but then the SSO is not working anymore.
It drives me crazy.

Dont know exactly whats happened but I presume something went wrong during the update procedure.
If you will be not able to start the notebook in the safe mode or to boot the notebook then user the Toshiba recovery CD to gets the notebook working!

You need to contact the developer/manufacturer directly to determine if their product is compatible w/Yosemite. It is not listed on their system requirement website:

-Xmx greater than 180M does not start jvm on a 2gb machine, why?

Hi, we have developed a product demo shown as an applet that uses the java plug-in to startup.
The demo requires high amount of memory so we modified the java plug-in -xms and -xmx values in the control panel so more memory is available to the applet. What we can not see is why using values higher than -Xmx187M the applet does not start launching an error message either in Explorer of Firefox telling it has been unable to load the jvm. Using the value of -Xmx180M the applet starts but the out of memory message is displayed very soon as the demo requires at least 700M.
We are using:
� JRE1.6_u02
� IE7. FireFox 2.0.0.7
� Computer: 2GB Ram, CoreDuo2.
Does any of you why this limitation in the maximum java heap size?
