Im new in here, ím sorry if my question is in the wrong topic.
Im considere to buy a new Lenovo thinkpad laptop, but i can decide between T model and W model, so can anyone tell me, what is the biggest different betwen this two models, and why pay more for the W model.

To say it another way...the W sports twice the slots, a real gpu, and a big boy quad-proc.  On paper the 540 looks pretty but in real life the 530>540. Some reading 4u, bench away and take just 20 minutes to poke around on all the forums with disgusted owners.  After buying about two dozen, we stopped sourcing 4/540's and went with M4800's when 4th Gens or QHD are a must for our engineers and designers.

I think as soon as the developers discover CoreMotion, all of the apps will migrate to using that so fast it will cause your head to spin.
I think this will cause the obsolesces of more mobile hardware then anything prior to it. The whining and moaning on these forum is going to be so great.

  • Whats the actual difference between Business system and Business service

whats the actual difference between Business system and Business service

    Business System
    1) Business system is a logical system, and there is an importance on physical existence of the system.
    2) Also SLD entry is required.
3)It is generally used for SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
4)This is defined as part of the SLD and is a physical system whose parameters are well defined.
5(Business systems refers to the physical systems, for instance the R/3 system. You define the business systems in the SLD
    Business Service
    1) You use a Business Service, when you do not have the System details of the the partner system to which you want to communicate. i.e. you have not configured the partner system in SLD.
    2) Business Service is an Absract Unit with Sender and Receiver Interfaces,In this case you need to explicitly add the message interfaces while doing configuration in ID.
    3) It is generally used for NON-SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
    4) This is not defined as part of SLD and whose technical parameters are not completely known.
5)Business service is used when the message is not addressed to a business system. It is used mostly in B2B scenarios.

  • Whats the functional difference between CUA and UME?

    Hi All,
A small query regarding UME (User Management Engine) and CUA ( Central User Administration). Whats the functional difference between these two. I read in help documents that UME will be used for SAP WebAS Java server. But I read that it can be used for ABAP engine as well. Then why do we need to use CUA when we have user friendly interface tool like UME. According to my knowledge from help documentation, UME comes pre installed. so we dont need to install it as we have to do for CUA.
Can any help me in understanding the difference between these two. Thanks in advance. Good day.
    Regards,
    Farooq.

    Hi,
    Indeed good question.
It depends on installation type you selected. But are responsible for user administration in terms of creating, deleting, updating and role assignment tasks to users and groups.
--CUA is meant for ABAP Installation. CUA is responsible for entire landscape user administration works with RFC connection talking to all ABAP systems
--UME is meant for Java installations, plus UME is responsible for handling communication between ABAP users and java users.

  • Whats the functional difference between user IDs SAP* and DDIC?

Whats the functional difference between SAP* and DDIC? Can any one tell me please. I am new here. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Farooq,
There are three user IDs in various SAP clients.
    1. SAP* (Client 000 and 001)
SAP* denotes the default super user and has all administrative powers.
    2. DDIC (Client 000 and 001)
DDIC user is responsible for the maintenance of the ABAP/4 Dictionary and the software logistics.
    3. EarlyWatch (Client 066)
The EarlyWatch user has access only to monitoring and performance data.
Please check this link for more information on data dictionary objects.

  • Photoshop cs4 makes huge files - but with Aperture Whats the biggest file ?

When editing w/Photoshop cs4 by adding layers and masks etc, This makes HUGE files - but with using Aperture alone, what's the biggest file size when editing a RAW file?? (??? _Kb ??? __ mgB ????)
I think I heard -12kb. True ?_________ From what little I understand. Aperture changes the pixels once you have finished the editing. Or to put it another away, Aperture replaces the old or original pixels with the edited final pixels you prefer. IE -lighter darker. and with that said. is this still a RAW IMAGE?

Hello, and welcome to the Discussions.
It would seem that none of what you report hearing is accurate. A RAW file downloaded into Aperture, remains as the Master for this image, and is never changed -- that is why Aperture is said to utilize non-destructive editing. When editing in Aperture, only a small file of edit detail is saved, and no actual new version needs to be created until you Export for some purpose.
When you send an image file from Aperture to Photoshop to be edited, it typically will be a version created as a TIFF file, although there are 4 choices in the Preferences -- TIFF, TIFF 16-bit, PSD, and PSD 16-bit. When finished editing, the image is Saved in PS, that file is available to Aperture, and the version created for sending to PS will change to reflect those changes made in PS.
Aperture cannot send an edited RAW file to PS in this fashion, but you can Export the RAW Master, to later be opened in Photoshop.
You should watch all the available online tutorials about Aperture, and possibly buy a book as well.
Aperture may have trouble with super-sized images, but I have not had trouble with those in the range of 100 MB or less. Larger ones than that would likely be from scans and not from editing an image shot with your camera in Photoshop.

  • Whats the main difference between wifi and wifi   Cellular for iPad mini?

Can someone explain to me in simple terms the main difference/benefit of buying a wifi or a wifi + cellular iPad? I thought the cellular meant you would have a sim card in it and you can then connect to the internet when you are not near a wifi, but now looking at the specs again it mentions a sim card for the wifi one, so what are you getting extra for the cellular technology?

Aloha Karl. You're welcome. I'm still new to all this technology myself. I only had my iPad for a year and a half. Up until a few years ago I had no plans to  to ever have anything to do with computers. Fortunately a few friends showed me what was available on the internet and another friend suggested I should give the iPad a look at. The rest is history. At 63 I'm still like a kid with a new toy, trying to learn, trying to help.  Bob.

  • Whats the biggest hard disk my PowerMac G5 can hold?

    Greetings!
I got a hold of a PowerMac G5 recently, rather cool machine!
Anyway, i want to use it as a fileserver and also for backups of me and my family members computers so im going to need some big hard disks!
Unfortunately PPC macs wont boot from GUID partitioned hard disks so i have 1 hard disk bay free (Whilst the other holds the boot drive) Unless i find some super nice fellow willing to sell me a G5 Jive card rather cheap
At the moment i have a 2TB Samsung Spinpoint (HD204UI) that i could use however before i go messing around inside the system i'd like to know if such high capacity drives will work in the system at all? As far as im aware some hard disks need certain pins/jumpers connected so they run at the slower speed and such. I recall reading something about AFT being an issue as well?
Any information is appreciated, i have listed the system information below as well if it helps.
    Model Name:    Power Mac G5
      Model Identifier:    PowerMac11,2
      Processor Name:    PowerPC G5 (1.1)
      Processor Speed:    2 GHz
      Number Of CPUs:    2
L2 Cache (per CPU):    1 MB
      Memory:    1 GB
      Bus Speed:    1 GHz
      Boot ROM Version:    5.2.7f1

    There may be an upgrade potential with a PCI card or other hardware;
not sure. The data rate according to MacTracker for the model you
have is 1.5GBps or so. Without some hardware upgrade, that may not
be surpassed. A 2TB to 4TB HDD should be an easy upgrade.

Bays    2 - Internal 3.5" Serial ATA drive bays, 1 - optical drive bay
Hard Drive Interface:    2 - 1.5 Gbps Serial ATA (SATA) controllers
    {according to the http://mactracker.ca free database application}
You may be able to contact a product specialist or reseller of upgrade
parts, to see what the upper limits are to a stock last model G5 tower.
I see some options here, but not certain of product boundaries:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/3.5-SerialATA/
The above company does offer pre-purchase support, to help get what
works; and from reports by other Apple users, they also do, afterward.
At least with an internal 3.5" HDD, these run 7200 RPM, and so should
be fairly quick at moving data; the computer drive bus may be a slow
link in the chain, when a modern drive may be faster at in this aspect.
Same if you were to choose too-high spec SSD, instead of closer match.
The replacement or upgrade hard disk drives may be somewhat backward
compatible to older spec data rates; so that may be an answer of a sort.
A few of the listed HDDs and perhaps a SSD look promising. OWC does offer
some legacy SSD products that can be used in slower data bus situations.
Other specs may be found at http://everymac.com regarding this PM G5.
    Not sure if this helps...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • What's the biggest difference between Premiere Pro and other options?

    Thanks!

"Other options" ... as in NLE's? You're not very specific there ... so all I can do is note that all other video processing programs are designed to realistically do one part of the task, with the need to pass-off to different programs typically by different makers to do the Whole Job. Adobe's pro video programs are designed to work together, and do so pretty well in all. PrPro for editing your footage into a viewable form/timeline, AfterEffects for any specific needs for Fx work, SpeedGrade for colorist/grading work (making it pretty or day-to-night or whatnot) and Audition for cleaning up, augmenting, or building your audio, then to Adobe Media Encoder for outputting to all sorts of codecs/formats for final use.

Now i have got my hands on BIOS 1.83 yet im not wanting to update to it just yet (im tooo scared). Now could i update straight from 1.5 to 1.83 or should i get a hold of 1.6 and 1.73 ?
Is MSI going to be putting 1.83 on the web soon or is it just a beta of sorts?
    Thanks for any help

  • Whats the main difference between Add-Type and [Reflection.Assembly]::LoadFrom($DLL.FullName) for example

    Hello
I have a query please, if someone can help answer it
I am just not clear on when to use which method and if they need to be used together some of the time or all of the time.
Is it true to say the answer to the above is you use Add-Type when the DLL containing the type has already been loaded into memory but not yet scope of the script (e.g. like the 'using' statement
    in C#)
if the DLL or its manifest is not in memory then you need to firs to load into memory via
     [Reflection.Assembly]::LoadFrom($DLL.FullName)
    for example?
But if that is the case do you not then need to use Add-Type once LoadFrom has loaded into memory to get the members of the type?
    Thank you
    AAnotherUser__
    AAnotherUser__

This is a recent thread with some discussion of the differences - between using and Load/Add-Type.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/9fe4c708-c98e-432e-a4e1-4a8e80250c18/how-do-i-loadreference-assemblies-in-powershell?forum=ITCG
Load and Add-Type are basically the same thing, and once the
assembly's been loaded in memory it's available, so there's no using equivalent.
I hope this post has helped!

  • 3000 and 3400 : Whats the difference in performance

my wife (being the wonderful woman she is) has ordered me an Athlon64 3400 for my birthday.
whats the perfomance difference like between the 3000 and the 3400, will i notice a difference at all ??
and does anyone know how well the 3400 overclocks ??

a 3400+ typically is faster than an overclocked 3000+. They both overclock in the same way. However overclocking any of these depends more on other componants and there tolerance to having the system clock changed. SATA drives and AGP cards are especially touchy about changes to the system clock.
Just the same if you can overclock say by 5% to a 3000+ then you should be able to do about the same to a 3400+.

    Hi,
Please, can someone tell me the real difference between satego and satellite?

The difference between the Satego and Satellite is the same like the difference between the Satellite and Equium ;)
The difference is a notebook name but of course not all series are equipped with the same parts and devices!
Therefore its not easy to say what the exact differences are between the single notebook series. Check simply the descriptions

  • Whats the fastest superdrive I can buy?

ok so i installed a Pioneer A06 burner before and its great but im in the market for a new burner and hdd. I got the hdd but now looking for a new dvd burner. Whats the fastest one i can buy that will work in my G4?

Apple uses modified drives, so it is unlikely the DVR-110 is used in the same configuration as Pioneer retail. Another poster indicated he got a "DVR-187D" from a new G5, this may be a modified 110, I don't know.
My G5 came with a "DVR-117", which was in fact a DVR-108 with feature-hobbling Apple firmware, so the same is probably true of the 187.
You can look for owner reviews @ xlr8yourmac's Drive Compatibility
Different markets get different firmware versions, which is often what the number differences indicate.
There is no reason any DVR-xxx would not work, it will need PatchBurn for iApp/Finder burn support in anything less than Tiger, and to get all the features of the drive, you may need a 3rd party app such as Roxio's Toast, esp. if you don't have Tiger.
