W540 Wireless and Bluetooth for Windows 7 x64 [SOLVED]

I have purchased a W540 with the 'Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 (2x2, 802.11ac/a/b/g/n) with Bluetooth® 4.0' option.
As per usual I am doing a fresh install of Windows 7 but I can't figure out how to get bluetooth working?
I've installed the 'Intel Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter Software for Windows 8 (64-bit), 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad' (filename giww08ww.exe) however I'm not sure what to do next. I see no bluetooth in device manager or control panel, or icon in the taskbar.
Additionally the device manager shows no misconfigured (!) devices.
What is supposed to happen or where am I supposed to go from here?

Installation of hotkeys let you enable Bluetooth through the soft switch. So I doubt hotkey features is something which cannot be avoided.

WMP600N - weak connection and low signal - Windows 7 x64

I bought the WMP600N because Linksys and Microsoft listed it as 'compatible' for Windows 7 x64.
My experience:
- unstable and weak connection
- pings to websites like google.com drops, average: 1 out of 3
- low signal, on the same spot my three years old HP-laptop with 'a build in wireless card' has full signal strength in Windows 7
- it works well under Windows XP (32 bit)
I'am convinced that drivers for the WMP600N are not ready for Window 7 x64. Linksys (or Ralink, which developed the chipset), please release a proper driver for the WMP600N!

I'm not sure about you guys, but I use WMP600N and running Windows 7 64bit without any issues. The driver that I'm using now is Driver Version: 3.0.2.0, Driver Provider: Ralink Techonolgy Corp, Driver Date: 6/19/2009. Here's what I did when I upgrded my wireless adapter. 1. Uninstall the original wireless driver from device manager. 2. Turn off the computer and phisically removed the wireless adapter from my computer. 3. Pop in the new WMP600N and turn on the computer. 4. Windows 7 then automatically detects the new adapter and intall the proper driver for it. Well, that's all I did. The whole process is very simple and straight forward.

T60 WLAN COMPLETELY GONE after installing latest Update Intel Wireless WiFi Link for Windows XP

I just reinstalled a T60 from scratch TWICE to the point of updating - Intel Wireless Wifi Link for Windows XP -
Just after that very latest Update (3.1.1.1 or so?) there is no WLAN possible and I had to find out, that a system restore is impossible either! (Simply does not work and asks me to get another point and try again)
I have a full backup done by acronis 2010 so that does not bother me so very much.
The point is that I like to WARN everybody to install that Update to their T60 e.g. 2008YWJ !!!
(contains 3945AGB WLAN Module!)
After Updating U HAVE NO CHANCE TO REPAIR IT! U get always the problem signature
szAppName: AcSvc.exe szAppVer: 5.6.1.33 szModName: PfMgrApi.dll
szModVer : 13.0.0.2 offset: 000d4912
and the System wants to report that stuff to MicroSoft...again and again...every time u
start AccessConnections.
U can DEinstall AccessConnections and Intel Wireless Wifi Link for XP completely, reboot
and REinstall it....just 2 get the same messages and NO WLAN anymore.
I could not get out of this Driver Installation Hell until I did a complete Recovery Install and
I got back to Hell when System Update REinstalled Intel Wireless WiFi Link for XP
automagically...;-(((
And again NO CHANCE to roll back, No chance to get rid of that annoying bug. This time I have an ACRONIS-Image so I can spare some time....
Somebody shoud really CHECK this, because it should not be possible to break down an completely NICE RUNNING Thinkpad THIS WAY just by updating it! As it took me abaout 12 Hours of Administration by now I
really would apreciate to help whomever to find out what the hell is responsible 4 this !!!
Why is XP System Restore not working on an T60 to roll back to Point b4 installation of this Update???
(I could not use that Thinkvantage-System Recovery because it did not even get all its updates by the
time the system went in limbo during install! What i defintely can say is that it breaks at exactely
same point when Intel Wifi Updates is installed...
I do my Acronis Restore now and try 2 avoid this Update....;-(
if anybody KNOWS how to get that system 2 an earlier point of an install orgy i whould be thankful to get that information...
I am keeping alive 12 Thinkpads here R40 R50 T42 T43 T60 T61p T400 T500 and NEVER
experienced problems like this in many years!

gal9000, welcome to the forum,
have you tried running windows system restore from safe mode? It usually works then because some anti-virus softwares will prevent it from running successfully from "normal" windows.

Now, I bought Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and I have a problem anywhere, not allowed to find this program of-saver to install on Windows 7 x64 with Toshiba and the Internet sites I tested everything I think.
Does anyone have TEN SAVER for Windows 7 x64?

To be honest its really difficult to understand what you try to install or what software you need.
You said something about Toshiba Quad Core HD CPU.
Please note that not all G50 Qosmio notebooks support this feature.
So it would be very interesting to know what G50-xxx you have exactly
PS; Toshiba European driver page provides the Win 7 drivers for G50 as well.
In order to use the Toshiba Quad Core HD CPU you need to install the HD Processor Driver and HD Console as well.
The Toshiba HD Processor is a co-processor specialized for media streaming processes (real-time image processing such as image processing and image recognition) and the Toshiba HD Console displays the usage for each core in the Toshiba HD Processor and allows applications which use the HD Processor to be started

L2440X Driver for Windows 7 x64

Hello all together, how do I get a driver for Windows 7 x64 ago for this monitor?
Windows detects the monitor is only as PNP monitor.
The monitor is connected to an XFX 5850 by DP.
I had already downloaded the driver from Lenovo, but this can not be installed. there is only the message --
It was found driver software for the device but to install an error has occurred.
Lenovo L2440xwC (DP), the system can not find the file specified.
But this is me in the system folder.
Where is the problem?

I wonder if the problem here is that HDCP (built-in DRM) is not supported though the Display Port interface (or the VGA interface). It is only supported through the DVI interface. Win7 x64 considers your use of your computer to be the business of Hollywood and Redmond, and if you want to enjoy HD content, then Win7 will *protect* that content at all costs, including disabling your computer hardware. This means refusing to allow unsigned drivers or 32-bit drivers into 64-bit systems that are under DRM-lockdown.
But this is conjecture on my part. Maybe the problem lies elsewhere. Or maybe Lenovo has no responsibility to past customers, and so leaves them hanging out there with hardware incompatibilities that will NEVER be fixed (because the L2440x has been discontinued, and Lenovo isn't going to sink another single penny into something--like updating the device driver--that can no longer make them any money).

Sony Update Software (also known as SUS) has been discontinued some time ago, and now the update process is entirely integrated in PC Companion and Mac Bridge. Just Download PC Companion from here:

Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Hi, I just registered here because I want to request to Lenovo, to release new updated Intel HD 4000 video driver for Windows 7 x64 system. Lenovo just offers last year driver. I want to install the generic Intel driver bu I afraid hotkey OSD won't work because I know Lenovo made some customization on its drivers. So please, release X230 new video driver update for Windows 7 x64.

Goto-> service market place->Click on software downloads->click on Installations and Upgrades-> click on Browse our Download Catalog->SAP NetWeaver and complementary products->SAP NetWeaver->depending on your Netweaver version select it->Installation and Upgrade->Microsoft Windows->Select your Db and download.

Let's take off the hardware representing Mini's Wireless and Bluetooth option:
This is the Wireless Interface Board, also referred to as the "mezzanine" card that provides and interface for making the Wireless and Bluetooth hardware work with the Mini.
Flipping the Wireless Interface Board over we can see the details:
Here you can see how the Airport Extreme and the Bluetooth module are separate modules. It is typically less expensive to purchase all three together in kit form.
If you have already ordered the Bluetooth option or the Airport Extreme option as a built-to-order option, you will already have the Wireless Interface Board and one of the other devices. You simply need to purchase this missing component, be it the Airport Extreme card or Bluetooth Module and have it installed.

SCXI and Aquisition with Windows 7 x64

Our IT just updated our laptops and we received Windows 7 x64.
For data acquisition, we use SCXI hardware in the SCXI-1000DC chassis and a SCXI-1600 USB DAQ Card. In the process of getting my NI hardware configured on the new laptop, I discovered NI does not support Windows 7 x64 for the SCXI-1600. The other options to connect the SCXI-1000 to a laptop are the DAQcard-6062E and the DAQcard-6036E, neither which support Windows 7 x64. According to the information below, there are no plans to support x64.
What are my options to continuing using the hardware we have invested in with the laptop running Windows 7 x64?

For those USB devices, there are not currently plans to add support for 64-bit operating systems. This is due to incompatibilities between the USB design of these older devices and the USB implementation in 64-bit version of Windows.

You will need the NI SCXI-1349 connector block and the SH68-68-EP cable. The SCXI-1349 plugs in to the back of your SCXI module and the cable connects the 1349 to the USB M Series Mass Termination device. All of the rest of the setup is identical to any PCI/PXI E Series device. The USB M Series device will be the Analog-to-Digital converter for the system instead of the SCXI-1600.

[GeForce 6] nx6600gt-vtd128 vivo driver for windows xp x64 edition?

Are there any (beta or release) wdm driver for this msi's nx6600gt-vtd128 for windows xp x64 edition? If not, are there plans to make an x64 driver in the near future?

I have the same card, and i can't find ANY capture driver for it. Not even the WindowsXP 32-Bit.
Could you enlighten me on where exactly did you see the 32bit capture drivers? (Other than the MSI CD)

Now I noticed you said NVDIA's Website, they're even older than the ones MSI provided on the CD. Older by like 2 years.
What I'm looking for, is a place where I can find fresh new WDM drivers. Or at least an online package of what's on the CD
Drivers should not be availiable only on a CD.

Wireless and Bluetooth problem

I have a lenovo X61 (centrino)
Problem
a) The wireless and bluetooth LEDs (below the monitor) won't come up
b) Although wireless radio is turned on, and there are wireless access points, the find WAN option does not pickup any wireless points.
Pressed Fn+F5 and also checked network cards seems everything is ok.
Need help.

1-users created locally on CUCM and Enabled for IM and Presence.
2-able to login to clients (CUPS7/8.6 and Jabber) but getting error Voicemail Error. The server has rejected the provided credentials. [1903]
in order to verify there is nothing wrong with the credentials...i checked on unity and i am sure it's the PIN(12345) i need to use .

It's not looking for your PIN - that is only used over DTMF-based interactions - it's looking for your CUC password. If the mailbox is synced from LDAP and you have LDAP Auth enabled on CUC, then this would be your AD password. If it's synced over AXL, not synced at all, or LDAP synced but without Auth, then there will be an alphanumeric password field on the mailbox under Edit > Change Passwords.
