WAAS FLOW MONITOR and NETQoS integration ( what ports do I open)

Hi there,
I am having issues integrating WAAS flow monitor feature with NetQoS in version 4.2.1.
The WAAS applicance fails to establish the initial session on port 778 with NetQoS which I believe it is needed to set the next session on port 9996 or 9995.
We have opened a "hole" for the WAE to register but still no go.
Any help will be appreciated..
Regards,
Manuel

The port used to communicate between the flow monitor and the NetQoS Aggregator and Management Console is TCP port 7878. You should be able to use the show commands on 4.2 to show the connection status. If the firewall is blocking that port, you'll want to punch a hole and it will continue to try to connect.

  • Conecting 2nd monitor to mainboard integrated vga port on km4m

hello there, i got another monitor from my sister's old computer and want to get it working at the same time with my FIRST PRICIPAL MONIITOR, i got a Nvidia FX5200-T128 , that is where my first and principal monitor is connected ..... i use a KM4M-L mainboard, it has an integrated vga port, and i was wondering if i could plug my second monitor on there, andi did , but the system does not recognize it, i searched or an BIOS option like to enable that vga port , but was unable to find it... searched through all the mainboard's "users guide" but nothings talks about the integrated vga port. ..... i use 512 ddr for ram
i hope im giving all the information you need to help, if im not please let me know and i will be glad to .... any help here will be apreciated... as always

Unfortunatly, the onboard VGA port auto-disables when an AGP card is used. This leaves two choices for multi-monitor support. An AGP card with dual output, or adding a PCI card for the second output. Does your FX5200 have twin output? Many have 1 VGA and 1 DVI, which can be used simultaniously for dual monitors.
Ironicly, using a PCI video card, instead of an AGP, will usually allow the onboard to also be used.

  • What Ports Does Mail Open, and Why?

    Mavens of Mac Mail Internals,
While trying to debug my lightly-loaded-yet-consumed-by-spinning-beach-balls 27" iMac running OS X 10.8.4...I've observed in Activity Monitor that Mail has 33 threads and 496 ports in use.
    Huh?
Why would Mail possibly need so many ports open? What ports? What kind of ports?
Are all the ports Mail is using the same type of port as 25, 587, or 993...or, is Activity Monitor reporting the system's consumption of another type of port? Or...what?
And...what's typical? How many threads and ports should Mac Mail have running and open at any point in time?
Baseline: My Mail setup is provisioned for 8 GMail mailboxes, 1 Hotmail mailbox, 1 Google Apps (Mail) mailbox, and 1 company mailbox.
Objective: Trying to determine what relationship Mail has, if any, on the increasing number of spinning beach balls infecting my system.
Thanks in advance for your assistance! Much, much appreciated,
    Plane Wryter

    Ahh!
So...Is Activity Montior reporting on the number of open IPC (Inter-process Communication) ports?
    Is that what's going on?
Would this explain why coreaudiod has 1,077 ports open?
If so, any idea as to why? Why does either Mail or Coreaudio need so many internal ports open?
BIG THANKS for the insight and clarification.
    Best,
    Plane Wryter

  • What ports do I open for Media Manager?

I'm having trouble getting my Media Manager files seen by my DVRs (QIP-7232s). I have enabled such services that allow me to remotely admin my DVRs from the web, so I know they can be seen on the network. But I cannot get them to see the MM server running on my network.
I have a second router between my ActionTec and my XP Pro (32 b) server running Media Manager and holding all my video files. This is the routher that serves the IP addresses for my network.
Installing Media Manager seemed to go well. No errors.
However, none of my DVRs can locate the Media Manager and the contained files. I suspect I need to open a port or two on the 2nd router to allow the Verizon MoCA router access to the MM application.
Does any one know what ports I need to open?

Wow, this makes me want to pull my hair out..
    It shouldn't be this difficult
I think I'm going to remove my router and just go with the ActionTec.
When I have more time (and patience) I'll go back into the world of port fowarding.
    Thanks!

  • Tivoli Monitoring and CCMS Integration

    Dear all,
we're trying to integrate the CCMS of our solution manager with Tivoli ITM 6.1
The standard Tivoli monitor for the CCMS is not flexible enough cause it doesn't allow to monitor "CCMS Current Status".
We'd like to write a "Tivoli universal agent" based solution which could allow to read the CCMS Current Status on sampled basis.
Is there anyone who knows about eventual implementations already done on this issue?
Is there an expert who knows which tables are used for storing "CCMS Current Status" data?
Your help would be very much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Nicola.

    Nicole,
this has already been done, i was part of that team..from tivoli..........check with you ibm vendor......that might help, there is also a generic plugin......that might be available and open for customization.

  • What ports do I open for a WRTU54G-TM off my WRT54G running DD-WRT?

I've grown weary of having a flakey internet connection with my WRTU54G resulting in having to power cycle it often.  I am going to install my WRT54G running DD-WRT as my primary router and hang the WRTU54G-TM off of it.  I'm hoping if all the WRTU54G is doing is the VOIP, then everything will be much more stable.
Can someone tell me what I need to do on DD-WRT to allow the WRTU54G to work?  How about the QoS settings for VOIP?
    TIA,
    Dave

Try to open ports 5060-5061, 16384-16482 on your dd-wrt if the wrtu54g-tm is behind it to allow the voip traffic to passthrough. You can give priority to the port where the wrtu54g-tm is connected to for qos.

  • What ports should be open for mac-pc chat?

So we've finally got our cams to work with cross-platforming (thanks to sandra and ralph). Now I still have a little bit of problems. I cannot hear him, tho he can hear me, and for some reason, sending/receiving files seem to be hard with most of my buddies. Can someone out there who can do all of these things tell me that optimal ports that they have open? That would be wonderful!

Whenever there is no audio at your end, but the PC user on the other end has a mic and can hear you, the PC user should try "tuning" the preferences for his camera and / or Mic. That may resolve the problem.
To find the setting, he must click on the Preferences menu option that becomes available after he clicks on the Setup icon near the bottom of the AIM 5.9 Buddy List Window.
Once he sees the Preferences, he needs to drop down the list, and click on "Live Video." In the new window that opens, click the button that says "Tuning Video and Audio." Follow the instructions in the wizard that opens.
Some PC users report that they need to reboot their PC after tuning to make the changes effective. Some also have reported that they must re-"Tune" whenever they make ANY camera or mic change, even as simple as unplugging and later plugging the same item back into their PC.
Can someone out there who can do all of these things tell me that optimal ports that they have open?
Your PC pal should see the AIM® Video IM - Frequently Asked Questions for info on setup and router configuration at his end.

  • Using Flow Monitor

    Hello everyone,
I need some help/advice on trying to the Flow Monitor function that is available. Basically I want to monitor the WAE's using Netflow, and I thought that by enabling Flow Monitor along with the host IP that I could monitor the traffic going through the device.
I have tried two separate flow control monitoring apps:
    Solarwinds Real-time Netflow Analyzer (free)
    WhatsUp Gold Flow Monitor
Neither application seems to be able to receive the Netflow data from the WAE device. Is there a different application required that will help me analyse the data?
This is the error I get within SolarWinds. I have setup the SNMP credentials as they are set on the device, and it is listening on port 2055.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Robert,
Cisco WAAS Flow Monitoring is different from traditional or flexible NetFlow available on Cisco devices and so NetFlow analysis tools like ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer, Solarwinds, Plixer, etc will not detect them.
From what I have heard, these flows can be processed only by NetQoS and you will need NetQoS SuperAgent for this. The NetQoS SuperAgent processes the flows received from WAAS FlowAgent (which again was developed by NetQoS) sitting on the WAE. More details in the below link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/nsite/enterprise/wan/wan_optimization/chap04.html#wp1053045
But there are API's available for WAAS monitoring using which any analyzed tools can report on the performance of your WAAS optimization. ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer supports WAAS reporting using API. More information in the below link:

  • SCCM 2012 What Ports Do I need to open so DMZ servers can communicate with my SCCM Server?

    Hi,
What ports do I need to open in the firewall so my DMZ servers can talk to my SCCM server on the network?
Here are my steps before to make my DMZ servers talk to my SCCM server:
    1.  On my SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 I have bounderies installed --> I install SCCM Client on my DMZ server with the appropriate switches --> I go back to my SCCM server to approve the server --> Works
But now my DMZ servers stops getting definition updates from my SCCM server and I was suggested that it is much easier to open ports in DMZ.
Now, could you please tell me what ports should we open to ensure two way communication among servers?
    Thanks!

Yes and no. It's a bit muddy at times.
For Internet based clients, putting an Internet-enabled MP in the DMZ is perfectly acceptable because Internet clients will only choose MPs enabled for Internet communication.
For systems in the DMZ, that's where it really gets muddy. There's no perfect way to accomplish this. IMO, DMZ clients should be allowed to go back to the MP/DP in the Intranet with a targeted opening in the DMZ firewall rules that allows them to only go
to the internal MP. That's a security policy question though for your organization.
Another option is to treat the clients in the DMZ as Internet only clients. This way, they will only go to the Internet MP in the DMZ. You do lose some functionality though like Remote Control.
A final way is to actually put an MP/DP in the DMZ and deal with the timeout's that happen when clients try to talk to the MP in the Intranet. Clients will try 5 times to contact that MP before giving up. They try to find a new MP at the following times
    (which are not configurable):
    - Every 25 hours
    - WHen the client detects a network change
    - When the client agent starts

  • Best Configuration for Dual Monitors and Cintiq

I'm a photographer and my G5 has dual monitors with Aperture. I now have a Wacom Cintiq monitor that I want to incorporate into this configuration, but I am having trouble figuring out the best way to do this. Right now, I have to disconnect one monitor and use that DVI port for the Cintiq. It works, but it is a hassle.
Does anyone out there have this sort of setup and how have you solved this? Thanks.

I still don't have an answer yet. I have two identical NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT cards in the number 1 and 2 slots. They are both set to x8/x16 which is a setup for equal medium performance from each card.
My problem persists as described at the beginning of this forum (all the monitors flick OFF for about two seconds, at a 30 minute interval (exactly), except that recently a new problem has cropped up. When I return to my computer each morning the monitors running from the number 2 slot don't light up right away, and I need to turn the power switch on the monitors on and off a couple of times before they will recognize the computer's signal and start glowing.
Also another new issue that seems related to the monitors. When the monitors go off every 30 minutes, the signal to a pair of amplified speakers is interrupted.
Any theories out there? If you guys can help me with this, maybe I tell you about the problem I have with my Mini Cooper! Wrong forum?

  • Why do I have 10.6 version of Activity Monitor in 10.7? It won't open

I partitioned my Hard drive and am dual booting into Lion on my early 09' MacBook Pro.  Oh, and the other partiton is running Snow Leopard, all up to date etc..
I tried opening Activity monitor and this is what I got:
How exactly is this possible or what did I do wrong? Thanks for any input.
    Doug

you might have what I have which is I have an ssd or second hard drive with my os and my other one has the home folder in it with all my user data. This is because one is smaller then the other but as you may know SSD is faster. I digress.
It must mean you have it on there twice. not sure what would happen if you deleted it... when I spotlight search I make sure I'm clicking the right activity monitor because the other one I know is because I have SL on my other hard drive.
