WAAS for Video Streaming Video Improvments?

Hello everyone,
the scenario is streaming a live video feed from a remote location with cable Internet  50Mbps down and 10Mbps up.  Since the cable connection is utilizing  the public Internet we want to do whatever we can to make the video stream as consistent as possible.  We want to deliver 1 video stream at 1080p.  Can WAAS help out in that scenario or is there a better way to go?  We will be using an H.264 vBrick encoder (that can change as well if there is a better way to go)
Thanks in advance.  All replies rated.

WAAS cannot accelerate any real time or compressed traffic.
You just need solid bandwidth for that.

  • Should Video Stream videos be in my iCloud downloads?

    Hello,
from where in iCloud I can find my shared Video Stream videos? They are not downloaded to my iCloud account.
In iPhone's iCloud storage documents I can see Video Stream but when I open in computer my iCloud account ( OS X 10.8.3)  there are no video downloads at all.  So- where they could be?
Anyway- what is the best way to share videos from iPhone to iCloud and see them everywhere in computer or in Pad?

You should know that Photo Stream doesn't upload videos, so you won't get videos from the iPhone to the Mac using iCloud. Probably you are seeing that your iPhone is backing up videos to iCloud, but they are on the iPhone backup, not on Photo Stream, where your Mac can access to.
Unfortunately, you can't stream videos on iCloud to other computers or devices. If you want, you can send the idea to Apple > http://www.apple.com/feedback Until Apple includes this feature (if they do it), you have to use another cloud storage as Dropbox

  • Application or plug-in for grabbing streaming video?

I am looking for a shareware application or plug-in for Q-Time or Safari that will simply allow me to grab a streaming video I am viewing on the web. I don't need a power program.
If anyone has a suggestion, website, other forum (I've already queried Tiger and Q-Time forums), or other direction to point me, TIA.

CosmoPod downloads the original file format (which can be retained), then converts to either MPEG4 or H264 (Best or Better). The file conversion is dependent on your Preference settings.
For functional purposes, CosmoPod places a Tool Icon on your Toolbar. Plus, the download/preference panel can be accessed via the Window menu. Videos can be directed to a Download location, or directly to iTunes.
Whether or not a file can be downloaded depends on file accessibility permissions on the provider's end. Trial version gives you 5 days/10 videos, which ought to give you a sense of whether it serves your purposes.

  • Flash player controls (for live streaming video) frozen...

    Hello,
Lion, Flash Player, and CNN's live-video player are not playing together nicely on our 2010 MBP 13". In fact, they're not playing.
Have tried the latest suggested fix, which is to right click on the errant video stream, then disable hardware acceleration. Unfortunately, right clicking brings up a "frozen" settings box. None of the buttons can be clicked, not even cancel.
Have accessed Flash Player through the Control Panel, but there is no switch there for hardware acceleration.
Bottom line, am now unable to view live video content from CNN and others.
Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash. Have tried Safari, Firefox and Chrome. And am not a step closer to a solution. Was hopeful that today's install of Lion would set things right, but alas...
    Your suggestions greatly appreciated.

About a half-hour after making the changes I outlined above, and long after I closed the active Safari window, noticed that my MBP was uncharacteristically hot. Extremely hot!
Opened Activity Monitor and saw that Flash Player was still running (?) and using a tremendous amount of system resources. I then quit Safari altogether. Within moments, the heat began to subside.

  • Creating a custom player for live streaming video

I have live streaming video set up where I use the Flash Media Encoder to send the live stream to a Flash Media Server. Then, the Flash Media server packages this stream, and sends it to whatever websites requests it via the url. I know how to create a Flash move or even asc file, and then have Flash generate the html for that saved movie so that I can embed it in a web page and play it. But in the case of live streaming video, there is no pre made asc file or movie to reference. So I need some help about what I need to do to play live streaming video in a flash player embedded in a webpage, that will also have some custom action script for controlling playback and other things.

  • Closed captioning for rtmp streaming video

hi, is it possible to do closed captioning in  adobe captivate 5.5 if the video is set to rtmp? any reply would be helpful. thanks!

What is the subject matter of these FLVs?
If it's Captivate screen captures, then you could have added the CC text to each slide if you had left them as FMV slides.
However, if the video content is of other things, e.g. people talking or some type of action captured with a video camera, then I believe your best solution would be to add the Closed Captioning in whatever tool you used to edit and publish the video.
As I mentioned before, Captivate doesn't really provide a mechanism for adding CC text to on screen objects that contain audio in any form.  So for example, you cannot add CC text to an SWF that you've inserted as an animation, even though you can record and add audio to that SWF in Captivate.  Videos are in a similar position, except that they usually don't have their audio added in Captivate.  They mostly come with their audio track built in.  This means the only real way to guarantee good synchronisation of the CC text is to have it embedded in the video as well.

Make sure you are using the latest .....
    RealPlayer
    Flip4Mac
    VLC Media Player http://perian.org
    Perian (AVI and FLV support)
    MPEG Streamclip
    Adobe Flash Player Software
As others have reported, max out your RAM.
    Type of internet service?
    Choppy YouTube Video Solution
Download the latest flash player from Adobe. After installing, repair permissions & restart your computer.
Go to YouTube, open any video and press pause (don't do this while video is playing). Click the ctrl key or “right click” the mouse in the middle of the video window. The settings for flash player will pop up.
Select the video settings then select "enable hardware acceleration."    Press close. Now RESTART YOUR  COMPUTER not just Safari if that is your browser of choice.
    Good luck!

  • Recording streaming videos with sound

Can I use quicktime for recording streaming videos with sound? If not which Apple software can do it?
    Bye Christof

You can use Quicktime to record streaming video +with it's audio+ by using a very simple trick. Using the same cable you connect your iPod/iPhone to your car's stereo system, connect your Mac's Audio OUT to its MIKE IN jack. I used FILE / OPEN URL to select the video stream source, then selected FILE / NEW SCREEN RECORDING. In the resulting 'Screen Recording' dialog box, I set the AUDIO slider all the way to the right, and under the arrow to the right, selected "Built-in Input Line In" for the microphone. I then used the appropriate controls to play the stream and record it. The resultant file was very acceptable. Good luck.

  • Streaming video on youTube

My neighbor gave me an eMac for my 9 yr old daughter to use. I upgraded it to OS 10.4.11 and it works fine except for watching streaming videos. Both Quicktime and Flash stutter in Safari, but since I've reinstalled Quicktime it works only on Firefox. I cannot watch Youtube or Yahoo Trailers on either Safari and Firefox. I've reinstalled Flash a half dozen times, including the newest version- and an earlier 9.0.277.0 version--but the video still stutters. I've tried resetting the Pram and fixed permissions as well.
My internet connection is good, my MacBook Pro plays everything.
Is something interfering with the Flash and Quicktime? Anything else I can try?
    eMac
    OS 10.4.11
    700 MHz PowerPc G4
    1GB SDRAM
    Safari v. 4.1.2
    Quicktime v.7.6.4
    Thank you,
    Ayse Francis

    Hi Ayse,
Issues with Internet connection speeds aside, I am afraid that the age and speed of your eMac is what is causing your stuttering issues when streaming video and YouTube. Your eMac is just not up to the challenge. Plus, YouTube uses video codecs that are designed to run on more recent, modern computers.
Your eMac's CPU and, especially, the eMac's bulit-in video card are just not able to handle the type of content and codecs that a lot of streaming video sites use now. And, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the issues are from the fact that the the highest Mac OS X version you can run is OS X 10.4 Tiger. Your eMac is 6 years old and your OS version is 4 years old.
I have single 1.25 Ghz CPU with a fairly speedy video card and 2 GBs of RAM running OS X 10.5.8 Leopard on a DSL connection and I can watch streaming video in MP4 format from YouTube, but my Mac struggles, sometimes, with 720p HD videos from YouTube and can't play 1080p videos at all.
You could try and wait and load a good chunk of the video before streaming it or use a program like MacTubes to actually download YouTube content and watch it directly from your eMac without streaming it.
You may find these latter procedures may help make the experience of watching videos on your eMac a better experience.

  • Trouble with streaming videos

Recently since the last patch i downloaded for quicktime, my internet browsers have been pretty messed up when trying to view streaming videos or anything flash like youtube videos and such.
at times, it works fine and then most of the time when i wanna see something it gives me the Q with a question mark, and i have no idea how to make it work.
    please help.

You more or less answered your own question by stating the difference between your MB and your husbands. More RAM (memory) will improve the amount of video capability for your MacBook. Your model of MacBook uses shared memory for video and you really don't have enough to share for the streaming video that you're trying to watch. I would increase your RAM to the maximum of 2GB. The spinning sound that you here is probably your hard drive spinning and by increasing your RAM you will resolve this issue as well. -GDF

  • Does Premier Elements allow me to record video streaming from the internet?

Does Premier Elements allow me to record video streaming from the internet?  If so which version and how?

    kc42k
Although Premiere Elements is not going to record streaming video from the Internet but there are other programs that can, you should consider the terms of service for the web site that is the source for the streaming video.
Online, there are very comprehensive articles on numerous programs that will do the recording.
But, even those articles point out that many of the Internet web sites that you target for their videos have terms of service that would legally prohibit the recording of streaming video from the named web sites, one example, YouTube, if no download button and depending on the terms of service.
Please consider. Any questions about the above, I can point you to the appropriate documentation on the matter.
    Thank you.

  • Streaming Video Progress Bar

I need to create a progress bar for my streaming video to let
the user know how much of the video has already been
downloaded/streamed. Making a progress bar for a progressive
