WAAS Inline Network Adapter Required for 674 Appliance Inline Mode?

Is an Inline Network Adpater required to setup a WAAS 674 Appliance in Inline Interception Mode or can the two inbuilt interfaces Gi1/0 anf Gi2/0 be used?

Hi,
You definitely need an Inline Adapter to setup WAAS 674 for inline interception mode. The built in Gig interfaces cannot be used for inline interception but can be used for WCCP or PBR. Inline adapter comes in a group LAN port and a WAN port.

    Hello,
You did not mention the Type (model) of ThinkPad T43 you have or which operating system you installed on it, but I believe most—if not all—ThinkPad T43s have a Broadcom BCM57xx NetXtreme series Gigabit Ethernet network interface card in them.  If that is the case with your ThinkPad, than the latest drivers are located here on Broadcom's support web site.  If none of those work, try looking at the device drivers on this page of Lenovo's support web site.

  • Is Intel 3945 network adapter suitable for 50Mbit/s?

    Hi,
Today i installed a modem from Ziggo (Netherlands). My internet speed is now 50Mbit/s download.
On my laptop A200-1CN PSAECA my wireless download speed is max 20Mbit. Now i think the networkadapter of my laptop is not suitable for this speed. Could anyone confirm this?
Can this networkadapter be replaced by a faster one? By myself or only at Toshiba service-centre?
    Awaiting your reply.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Paul

Your notebook is delivered with Intel 3945ABG WLAN cards. Support networks are 802.11a/g. So in g mode you should have this speed, even higher than that.
But the WLAN speed depends on many different factors:
Which kind of DSL package do you have?
Is the right WLAN mode set in router and in WLAN card properties?
Maybe is data source overloaded and you cannot use this speed for download.
Generally speaking your notebook should not have problems with this WLAN speed but other factors are very important too.

  • Network adapter speed for CIMC?

Im having some issues with data being feed into a CIMC server.. (COBRAS import, mass amounts of SMTP connections, etc) I noticed the prior engineer set the network speed on the CIMC virtual server connected to a 3750G switch to 1000 Full.  Should this be set to Auto on both ends or is 1000 Full the recommended setting?   My expierence in the past with UC products is to set anyting for 1000 to Auto and let it run on its own.  If its 100, then 100 full.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks!

There is a bug with the negociation speed of the CIMC on C-Series. Bug ID CSCtj80604.
For now it's recommended to lock it to 1000.

  • Network Adapter Security

    Hello,
Some mysterious application shuts down the network adapter in my server. Does anyone know some way to secure the network adapter i.e. prevent applications from modifying network adapter settings.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Enabling and disabling network adapter require administrative privileges.
You may try to set UAC to high to see if the issue persists.
If it does, please locate the exact process which did this, you may use Process Monitor.

  • NVIDIA Network Adapter problem (MSI K8N Neo4-F)

We have an MSI K8N Neo4- F motherboard.  We are running Windowx XP SP2 (just upgraded to Service Pack 2).  The computer will only boot in Normal mode if we disable or remove the NVIDIA Network Adapter driver.  If we attempt to boot in Normal mode, it always ends with a Bad Pool Header problem (Blue Screen of Death).  If we boot in Safe Mode with Networking, we can access the Internet.  If we disable or remove the driver, then  boot in normal mode, we can run in Normal mode but we do not have internet connection.
Does anyone know how we can use the onboard Network Adapter, and still boot in normal mode?
We have been using the latest drivers from MSI for this motherboard.  Is there a different version that can be used?  Is it possible that we have to update our BIOS for it to work correctly with SP2?
    Thanks!

I think I may have misunderstood what you meant by a clean install.  I probably should have asked what you meant before I answered my last post.
If you mean "did we just build the system by wiping the hard drive, installing  XP SP1, then apply SP2", the answer is no.  The system has been running Windows XP SP1 for several years without any problems, and we just wanted to upgrade to SP2 because there is some software that we want to load that requires SP2 to run.  We have lots of software loaded on this machine that we use every day that we really want to avoid (short of time right now to tackle that project) rebuilding the entire operating system/machine because of the work involved in reloading all the software, etc.
Am I correct in assuming that we would have to wipe out the hard drive and start over if we did a re-install from a slipstreamed SP2 cd?  If so, then we will probably just stay with SP1 for the time being if there is no other option to fix this Nvidia driver problem until we have more time to do a complete re-install and reload of the computer.
What about just installing a NIC in one of the PCI slots and use that instead of the onboard NetWork Adapter?
    Thanks for all your help.

  • HP Envy lost network adapter

I think I have accidentally uninstalled the network adapter driver for my laptop. At the moment, it says that there are no network connections, but the internet connection for my phone is just fine. The driver does not seem to be anywhere on my laptop, and I have no disc (I'm pretty certain it didn't come with one, as it has no optical drive).
Please could you tell me how I can reinstall this driver when my laptop has no internet connection?

  • Can't open TCP connection when two network adapter are enabled

    Hi all,
I've an applicaiton that connect using "TCP Open Connection". The applicaiton is running on a computer have two network adapters configured to be on two different network.
When I start the application, if both network adapters are enabled, connection is not created (timeout). When I disable the network adapter which is not configured for the network I need, connection is succesfull.
    - How can I choose which adapter to use to open the connection, as LabView seems enable to select the good one.
    - Or I can I disable a network adapter (just for the connection time)
I'm using LabView 8.5 Full on Windows XP.
    Thanks for your help

This is generally a routing issue. The OS will route connections to your primary network if it is not a direct route. For example, one network is 10.3.4.x (primary network) and the other is 192.168.1.x.with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. Now, let's say you want to reach a device with an 192.168.2.x address. The OS will try to route this through the primary network but is has no route to reach the 192.168.2.x subnet. Therefore your connection fails. You can add a permanent route to your computer to force specific address ranges to specific NICs. Use the ROUTE ADD command which is part of the OS. If you are trying to reach the computer using a name instead of the IP address the issue is basically the same but a but more challenging to resolve. The OS will do th elookup on your defined DNS servers. They generally do not have knowledge of local private networks and therefore can't resolve the name. In this case you need to create a more involved network infrastructure to update the name server. Probably not something that is feasible to do.
