Wacky WPA Enterprise Issue: iPhone connects, Mac does not
At work where we have wired and wireless networks. My MacBook Pro is connected via ethernet and my iPhone through our WPA2 Enterprise wireless network. Getting the iPhone on the wireless network was easy! Just added my user name and password and connected without a hitch. The Mac however, same settings, added, deleted, etc., never gets an IP Adx stays self-assigned. Works at home etc., tried different hints and tips but nothing seems to work. I don't get why the iPhone has no problem but the Mac just dies...very frustrating.
Would using the same Username and Password on two devices prevent this?
Have you tried setting up the Mac with (A) a different location (if you are using Automatic), or (B) trying another user account to see if that works?

It will connect via bluetooth but when I go to connect the usb charger it states that it is not compatible or you never get the charging display on your iPhone 5. It charges just fine when I use the AC charger in the house. At first I thought it may have been the cord but the same cord works fine in the house too. This causes problems when you take long trips and don't have any way to charge your phone while on the road. Are there any upcoming fixes/iupdates either to the software or usb cord that will fix this?

After updating my iphone 4 with the ios 6 update. My iphone would no longer connect to my home wifi that is password protected. I know that I have the right password entered in. At work we have a free wifi connection that does not require a password and I can connect no problem to it. My ipod touch has no problem connecting to my home wifi. It is a 3rd gen ipod and does not have the ios 6 update on it. Please help!
I'm having the same issues. Started when I upgraded iphone 4S and ipad1 to 5.1.1. Wife's iphone 4g on 4.4.2 has been ok. I've forgot the network on both devices and restored the iphone, none of which changed the issue. I've upgraded to ios 6 on the iphone 4s, problem still persists.
One thing that will help for a time: go to your router and change the wireless control channel. When I first did this I got full connectivity for about 48 hours... and now the problem is back. I'm now changing the wireless control channel every 12 hours, which is a pain but at least keeps me connected. I've tried a few other solutions that are out there and that has been the best one so far.
to do this on a motorola router: type 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.
username: admin and password:motorola if you have not changed the factory defaults.
Click on the word "wireless" and look for the "control channel" field. This may be set to auto or to 1, try changing it to 6 or 11 (preferred) or any other channel.
The control channel can cause static in the wireless system IF there are several networks nearby that are on the default setup.
There is a fair bit of buzz about this issue out there, some other things I've seen:
This is a hardware issue. Go to the store and have your wifi antenna checked, some users reporting that they get free replacement devices.
Check against other wifi networks that require a password (this is next for me). Logon to those networks and surf until your wifi stops. If your wifi connects to the internet but stops responding, then this is a software (or hardware) issue and apple needs to step up. Some are claiming this to be the case.
IF you connect and stay connected/on the internet on another password protected wifi, then the issue is with your router. this is where things get cute.
Comcast may tell you to update your firmware. Motorola may tell you that your cable provider is the only one who can push through firmware updates. Comcast may tell you that you are not in an area that is being updated. It's unclear if they say that to all customers, or just those who have purchased cable modems and aren't renting them from comcast.

If the machine is brand new I don't see why the serial Number is missing (it is entered on to a special chip at the factory)
However if the machine is a return and has been refurbished then the Logic/mother board may have been changed and someone forgot to put the info back to the new board.

In case any Wi-FI is available and if I choose not to join wi-fi, on iPhone 5 it does not connect to my 3G cellular data network but it connects to 2G data network forcing me to lower speeds in Wi-Fi enabled areas.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I am having the same problem, my brothers samsung picks up every bluetooth device thats remotely close but the 4s just sits there searching while sitting on the same desk as my iPad2, iMac 24" and headset that worked fine on my old 3 g.
I am not hugely tek savvy, can anyone explain in easy speak (the kid at the local apple reseeler told me the new bluetooth used on the 4s is not compatible with the older bluetooth devices.... hmmmmmm)

How come my mac does not sync with my iOS device.... When I send messages from my messages app on my mac it shows on my iPhone aswel... When someone trying to facetime me it will ring both my facetime on my mac and iPhone... Since this morning after the iCloud ****** up... My devices aren't syncing... Need help...I believe this was stopped in a recent iTunes update to "force" users to sync the calendar on the Mac and the iDevice to iCloud.

iCloud, which replaced MobileMe, requires OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. You will need to upgrade to OS X Lion higher in order to set up iCloud on your Mac. First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.

Iphone 5 wifi does not maintain connection or automatically connect
I phone 5 does not always maintain connection and does not automatically connect. I have selected the wifi system and entered password for such but each time I have to reenter password.
"Ask to join networks" is off. I also tried turning off the phone and restarting it. My wife's iPhone 5 is doing the same thing. Could it have something to do with my router?
