Wacom pen issue stroke

I got a pen issue with my wacom intuos 2.
When I draw in photoshop CS4 or flash CS4 the stroke wiggles as if I was trembling while drawing which is not the case
I tried to change the settings of the tablet & the pen. Also tried to play with screw inside the pen thinking that it might have losen up with time. On my PC laptop it works perfectly...
Any guess? I'm on a IMac intel.

this issue only seem to effect the cheap skate versions of wacom pen serie: the bamboo pen & touch
http://eu.shop.wacom.eu/Products/Bamboo/Bamboo-Pen-und-Touch/?c=70305
this tablet cost €90.00 euro which is significantly less than the cheapest Intuos model.
had i only known then what i know now, then i would never had bought the cheap skate "bamboo pen & touch". €90.00 euro is still a considderable amount of money to just throw out the window on faulty hardware.
so if any other of you out there considder to purchase a pen for your artwork in illustrator creative suit, then dont buy the "bamboo pen & touch" as this product seem to be effected by flaws that wont be solwed by any driver or application update.
Personaly i will try to return the "bamboo pen & touch" to my hardware dealer and pay the extra amount of money they will charge for any intuos model.

  • Adobe Flash CC Wacom pen issues.

    Hi,
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga Ultrabook that has tablet functionality via Wacom. I have had no issue drawing within the Photoshop that I have had for months now, but when I just installed Flash CC, the tablet will not let me use the tablet pen to draw a line correctly. What it does is makes a long straight diagonal line every time I try to touch it to the screen, and then at the end of said line, it then will draw what I gesture with my hand. The problem is, its offset now to the end of the line, so it is completely unusable. It has no problem working if I were to use my finger on the touch screen instead of the pen, which is very strange.
    Some things to note:
-Again, it works fine with the pen in other drawing apps like photoshop
-The issue persists with the default pen and a different brand pen that I frequently use.
-I have all my graphics drives updated
-I have the latest Wacom Feel it drivers
-I turned off all tablet settings that might interfere. Which shouldn't matter anyway if the pen works in other Adobe apps.
-I cant find a single thing online that comes anywhere close to what I need about this issue. I have no where else to turn! It seems like a Flash not being able to handle the tablet function settings.
-I am not a newbie to the Wacom functionality, so I have tried all of the obvious fixes.
Does anyone know of any fixes for this problem? I have the 30 day free trial of Flash, and I am not going to buy this if I cant get it resolved in the next month!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Why is Photoshop CS6 extremely slow with the brush tool using Wacom pen?

Could my wacom tablet be the issue?  The psd processor spins not stop until I pick up the wacom mouse and click on an adjacent layer then back to the layer I was working on.  Then the wacom pen  work with the brush tool.  This seems to happen when every time I  pick up the pen and go back to the brush  tool.

First, sorry it took so long to reply.  Have been a bit swamped.  What I mean by the psd processor, is the balls that rotate kind of like the SBDO when the app is executing a paint stroke.  So I tried your suggestion, mad a new file 7w x 5d at 72pi, set the brush to 25px at 100% hardness and made a stroke with the wacom pen.  It worked fine.  The issue is working in large files say around letter size at 300dpi or large format graphics for trade shows at 150dpi.  These files can range anywhere from 6ft x 8ft high  to 16ft w x 10 ft h for an example.  So painting in a channel mask or retouching using the brush tool in airbrush mode is painfully slow.  I've found that while this little psd icon is spinning, if I take the wacom mouse, click on an adjacent layer then go back to the layer I was working on and resume with the airbrush, the problem subsides.  It seems this spinning thing happens when I initially start using the brush on a layer or layer mask.  Do you get what I'm trying to explain?

  • Spot Removal Tool w. Click & Drag & Wacom Pen not showing area painted over until pen released

SOLUTION found a few minutes after I posted this!
Went into Wacom Tablet Properties and adjusted Tip Feel to Soft and Tilt Sensitivity to High.
I am having the following issue in LR 5 using Wacom Intuos 3 pen (Win 7 Pro, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX760, i7 3820 3.6 processor):
When using the Wacom pen to click and drag to heal a spot, the area I draw does not show the path (doesn't paint white) while I am drawing it. Only after I have drawn the area to clone/heal and released the pen does it show.  Click & drag works fine with a regular mouse and with the Wacom mouse.  I have penflicks turned off in Windows.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

    Hi,
Many thanks for this tip. I'd actually abandoned using my wacom pen&touch when using any of the adjustments (graduated filter, spot and brush) because of lag etc.
I don't have the tilt sensitivity on my tablet, but ajdusting the tip feel made a major improvement. ... the mouse still works better though.
I actually wonder just how many of the 'lag issues' being experienced are actually about mouse/tablet interaction.
When I quit lightroom, my tablet seizes up for about 20 seconds - seems like a driver reloading or something.

  • Bridge stops responding to Wacom pen clicks in Windows 8

When I use Adobe Bridge with the Wacom pen (Intuos 5) the first one or two clicks work but then the program stops responding to any pen clicks until I move the mouse or touch the touchpad, and then all the unresponsive clicks are played back at once. This problem first appeared with Bridge in CS5. I then upgraded to CS6 hoping it would go away, but it didn't. And now I've downloaded the new CC version of Bridge and it does the same thing. The pen works erratically in other Adobe programs as well but the malfunction is most obvious and happens consistently in Bridge. All Microsoft programs (Office 2010, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Windows 8 itself) work fine with the Wacom pen.
I've searched the Adobe and Wacom support forums and this problem does not appear to be affecting anyone else; although, I did find these two posts by people with similar problems:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5359741
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5262754
I've talked to Wacom tech support and tried all of the troubleshooting steps they could think of, including going back to earlier versions of the Intuos driver. They released a new Windows 8 driver yesterday (6.36) but it did not solve my problem.
Since I use a Logitech mouse, I've tried updating, going back to earlier versions, and completely uninstalling the Logitech drivers but the problem did not go away. I've also uninstalled, cleaned settings, and reinstalled the Adobe apps several times with no change.
This morning I tried disabling all non-Microsoft services and all non-essential startup programs on reboot but it made no difference.
One clue I've noticed that might help Adobe engineers figure this mystery out is that when I click on the little triangles to expand the metadata in the panel (with my first pen click as that's the only one which registers) they will highlight but not rotate and the panel never expands (see pictures below). This is a unique behavior which I can not replicate with my mouse. If someone can identify what would make the triangles respond in this way we might be onto what message the program is getting when I click with the pen.

Shut down all unnecessary programs running in the background.  Does Win 8 still use the ctrl alt delete for the Task Manager?
I did as you suggested and tried shutting down other running programs with Task Manager (Ctrl-Shift-Tab in Windows 8) but nothing changed in Bridge's response to pen clicks.
Then I used msconfig to turn off all non-essential system services and programs by doing what it calls a "Diagnostic Startup". Upon reboot only the minumal Windows drivers and services were running. Not even the Wacom driver was loaded, although the pen still worked using the Microsoft pen driver. I oppened Bridge, and guess what, exact same problem. One click and then the program locks up. And this is with absolutely nothing else running, no sound, no network, no other programs, and only the minimal set of Microsoft drivers.
So I figure that the only thing that's left for me to investigate is the Microsoft "Pen and Touch" settings in Control Panel. I open that and see three pen actions: Single-tap, Double-tap and a thing called "Press and hold" which is turned off. I turn it on and test Bridge. Bingo! it works. Pen clicks now register normally.
If I hold the pen down for a second, however, a right click is triggered. This is what "Press and hold" is supposed to do. But if I go back to Control Panel and turn "Press and hold" off, then Bridge locks up on normal pen clicks. It's like Bridge is interpreting every click as a click-and-hold but is unable to follow thorugh if the setting is turned off in the "Pen and Touch" control panel.
I've found no other program on my computer that does this but Bridge, and all version of Bridge from CS5 through CC do the exact same thing. A very strange bug indeed! But now I have a solution: turn on "Press and hold" in the "Pen and Touch" applet in Windows 8 Control Panel.

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.
I didn't have the exact same problem as you, but my dilemma was close enough. Good luck!

reasonably is I find stalwarts here in the forum). I have basic exposure in AI by virue of purchasing
the Production premium CS5.I am sure best drawings are drawn in AI. I did  not till date seen how a

  • How to disable Wacom pen tilt in CS5?

    Hello all,
Does anyone know where the option is to turn off / disable the pen tilt in Photoshop?  Sometimes I want it active and sometimes I don't.  I have Photoshop CS5 and an Intuos4.  I have tried searching the forums and the web but I can't seem to find any information on doing this.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
I know this is a fairly old thread, but did you find a solution for this? It's driving me nuts too. I've found that if the pen is kept away from our Intuous4 for several minutes, and all the tilt settings are switched off, it works fine when the pen is returned. Swap the pen over to eraser and then back to normal way up and the tilt starts being detected. I've looked through all the Wacom & PS settings and everything to do with tilt is disabled, in complete conflict with what I can see on screen when I'm drawing.
Here's a quick image to demonstrate what I'm experiencing:
The first line was using the mouse, the second line was done with the wacom pen (after it had been well away from the tablet for several minutes). The brush animation simply showed pressure at this point. I turned the pen over, used the eraser then swapped back and drew the third line, but this time the animation showed lots of tilt (as shown in the left panel), and you can see the brush effect is very different.
    Any help muchly appreciated

  • Wacom pen won't work with keyboard's USB?

My old Wacom pen Graphire was working well with my old iMAC 333 OS 9.2.2(five colour iMAC) USB 1.0 connector; but when I plug it into my new iMac G5 keyboard's USB(also 1.0), it doesn't recognize it, I already downloaded the latest Wacom driver for OS X, and my new iMac is using OS 10.4.3., I don't want to waste the keyboard's USB, does anyone help me? Thanks a lot!

How bizarre. I am wondering why all my new keyboards (I have three of the new design) will not let me use either keypen, microsoft mouse (I needed another button and the Mighty Mouse had not been released or Wacom on the rear USB ports. The same goes with my Powerbook. I cannot connect to the keyboard USBs (seperate keyboard) but can connect on the USB 2.0s on the laptop.
There is a solution... the bluetooth wireless Wacom. No wires, no fuss

  • Nevernote / Nixnote Wacom pen support

I've done a lot of searching both arch-specific resources (forums, AUR, wiki), and the general internet to try and find out if Nevernote supports use of a wacom pen to create vector graphics (i.e. use the pen to write on the screen).  I have been able to get GIMP and Inkscape to recognize and use the pen correctly (i.e. pressure sensitive, buttons work, etc).  Hardware is recognized by the system correctly.
Is there a hidden menu in Nevernote I haven't found yet, or is there a config file change or something that would enable me to use the pen in Nevernote?
If not, here's what I'm trying to accomplish on a functional level:
I'm trying to replicate MS OneNote's seamless integration of writing on the screen with typed notes.  This works great for quick scribbles that, for whatever reason, aren't conducive to being typed out.  So, if anyone knows of alternative note taking software packages for linux that do offer this capability, I'd be eager to try them out.  I'm NOT asking for text recognition.  What I do want is the ability to write and draw in the same "space".

I don't know anything about nixnote, but....
    try Xournal.
    it'll work with your wacom, and has a decent amount useful of features ~ it's not the best drawing application (you limited in tools and colors) but for what you are talking about, it should work nicely;
    Xournal is available through pacman, and there is also a patched version in AUR, that supports importing images;

  • Pen tool stroke issue. Glitch?

So im pretty sure someone has the answer to this, and I will tell you how I "fixed" it, but for now I need to know why it is doing this.
I am outlining a scanned image with the pen tool.  I set my Stroke to white w/ no fill.  BUT, when I draw it turns cyan and if I turn off the stroke comletely, it still shows a stroke, even though the red slashes appear on my tool bar.  Hmmm...  any idea why it is doing this?  Does this explaination even make sense?
so I fixed it by simply copying the art and pasting it into a new dwg.  (a little ACAD trick) But curiousity still lingers...what causes this issue?  A glitch?....

How did you tell there was an appearance on that layer? Guess I overlooked it...
So was that something that I did on accident then, I guess?
thanks for the help on that...that did it.
I can tell Im gonna learn alot on this here forum...

  • X200 Tablet - Wacom Pen Blue Screen of Death on Windows 7

Hello...hopefully someone can help & point me in the right direction...I have a Lenovo x200 tablet PC (Stylus Only Version) - and recently installed Windows 7 Professional (64bit)
The OS install went perfectly...Once installed, I did all the Systems Updates for Windows 7, including all the updates for Lenovo using System Update 4.01.....However, I have an issue that I cannot seem to figure out...
    PROBLEM # 1
The biggest issue I now face is, whenever I put the Digitized Pen next to the Tablet Screen within 2 seconds I get the 'Blue Screen of Death'....and it automatically Reboots....This ONLY happens when I touch the Pen to the screen....
I uninstalled the 'Wacom Drivers' - within the Device Manager, which i assume were installed by the system update(s)....After, uninstalling the issue of the 'Blue Screen' from happening when the pen touches the screen is gone.....However, I have no way of being able to use the Pen...it does not show any cursor or inking....Is there a specific DRIVER that I should be installing on my own to make this work properly - without getting the 'Blue Screen of Death' each time?....I really need some guidance on this issue.
    PROBLEM # 2
My Second issue, which is suddenly occured after day 2 of installing updates is the Lenovo System Update 4.01 -- Suddenly, after working on day 1 - now, whenever i try to 'Check New Updates' i get a popup that says "An error was detected with the Package catalog for your system on the System Update Server. Please contact the Support Center".
I called techical support on the phone - and they made it seem like this was not their problem and they could not help me...The odd thing is, that this was working before, and now all of sudden it doesnt work...
If someone can please advise me on what to do, especially with the Pen Driver problem, I would greatly appreciate it....Thanks!

    **FIXED IT** TWICE!
I've been messing with this on multiple machines at my school.
I was getting the BSOD, "no tablet installed" all that good stuff.
I installed this, that and the other thing.
After testing another machine, I read something in the BSOD that caught my attention.
It mentions resetting the cache of the BIOS. I wasn't sure what that meant, or how to do it.
But I was able to get into the BIOS (F1 on the Lenovo splash screen) and I just tapped F9 (load default Bios options -paraphrasing) Then I hit ESC- it prompts to save the settings, agree and let the computer continue to boot.
I was able to test the Pen at the login screen. Just repeated this process on another X200 computer and it worked again.
    Try it.
    Good luck!
