WAD - 2 geocharacteristics in the drilldown

Hey experts,
I am working on geovisualization. What I try to do is, to show dynamic geo-characteristics, as points or so with the help of the coordinates of longitude and latiude. After some struggeling, this works fine, and I receive a map with triangles at the corresponding places.
Any idea where to change the format of these triangles (shape --> converting it into a circle, or the color)?
Going further: What I want to implement next is this map with the point layer with an underlying map with the borderlines of a country, states, postalcode areas etc. The background is, that it is indeed a lot of work to display dynamic geographic information (or static with geo-characteristics), but it`s in the end not worth that much.
My vision is to show e. g. customers per state, which means all the customers of one state are drawn as points within this state on the map. This could, in my opinion, be a great and efficient way to analyze customer`s density.
Now: The problem of the WAD is, that only one geographical characteristic at a time can be in the drilldown. For my case I would need more than one, or I had to solve it by different layers. But that does unfortunately not work yet.
Any solutions/ tips/ experiences? Thank you sooo much!

thank you for your solutions.
I will elaborte on my solutions a little more in detail, if anyone else is interessted:
1) Choose symbol as a map renderer and you can make all the desired options like shape or alternate the color.
2) fits perfectly! I guess you musn`t choose the same map renderer for different layers.
Do you experts know, how to set the initial zoom level? My map is displayed with the right key figures, but I always have to use the geo-toolbar to zoom in, for it is far too little... (I`ve read about a solution, which advices to append parameters to the URL -> aren`t there any more appropriate approaches?)

WAD 3.x-Hiding the Navigation Icon

Hi Experts,
In WAD, I want to hide the "Drilldown in Columns" button and display only the "Drilldown in Rows".
I have checked the SHOW_NAVIGATION_ICONS. This enables both Drill on Rows and Drill on Columns.
For both Rows and Free Characteristics I need to display only Drilldown in Rows button.
Is this possible ?? some kindof HTML coding may be??

The Drilldown report of Treasury

Hi experts!
I am a new to Treasury.Now,We have been upgrading R/3 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
And we found the drilldown reports of TR have been changed in migration.
Could you inform us knowhow about the drillreport of TR?

Which drill down report exactly you are refering to. There are lot of drill down reports available in Treasury.

How to use one WAD template for all the available queries

Hi,
I have created a WAD template... Now we have close to 25 queries which will use that template for displaying their output at Portal...
Is there any way that i don`t have to create multiple copies of my WAD template...
I.e. all queries would call that same template through portal...

Hi,
The Bex report uses the Standard Template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN while it is executed.
So if your sure that the look and feel of all the Reports is going to remain same, you don't need to even attach all these Queries to Templates in WAD.
When you execute the BEx query, it would pick up the standard template and run it in portal.
But if you want to customize the Report Template:
1) You can change this standard template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN and customize it according to ur requrement in WAD.
2) Or you can create a copy of this standard template and change it as required. Then change the template in spro (transaction RSCUSTV27) to point to this Z template.

WAD - open Document in the new window

Hi All,
in my old web application 3.5 I had the possibility to open the HTML file from MIME repository. All what I had to do was to press the button. Now I have the new web application 7.x and put the same document into the KM. In the next step I would like to implement the button to open the file in KM. How to do this?
Do I have to open it with javascript (as before) or there is some other possibility to do it? Maybe WAD-command?

I think the best way would be to open in using the Java Script component. Drag in the Java Script component, then assign the component to the button.

WAD result row in the name of the WAD report

Hi,
My requirement is we need to show summary of the result rows in front of WAD report output. Is it possible by any means please let me know.

WAD output as of now we have.
> costing report (Heading of the report) (compress)
> Query result (at the top or at the bottom)
I need Query result should appear at top level before clicking on heading costing report.

Infoset Query Wrong result after removing document number in the drilldown

Hi Friends,
I have 2 oDS,billing ODS and Condition ODS.I have created an infoset query based on these two ODS.
From my Billing ODS i need QTY and from Condition ODS i need Value,Discount etc.
Since there are more than one record in condition ods for each and every document of billin gods,i have divided the qty using number of records in the query.
Im getting wrong qty if i run report based on customer or material,but if i drilldown based on document im getting the correct quanity.
Can any one help me..

FYI,my infoset is created based on bill doc and item number which is available in both the ODS.
Here,for every document in Billing ODS,there are more number of documnets in Condition ODS,so the bill qty is getting added according to the numvber of records in Condition ODS.
Eg.Billing ODS: Doc Num:100012, Qty = 8.if 10 records are ther in condition ODS,then in the infoset my QTY becomes,
Doc Num:100012, Qty = 80.
So in the query i divided it by number of records to get the qty and is coming correctly for documnet wise report.
Problem comes when i remove documnet from the report and drilldown to higher level,say material,then it is calculated wrongly.
Your suggestions plz..

Authorization to inhibit the drilldown of a Free Characteristic in a Query

Hi all
I have a problem: I want to implement authorizations profiles for two different roles linked to two users, in order to allow the execution of a query from Bex Analyzer. The Query contains the free characteristic "A", which is an authorization relevant object
- On the first role I want to allow the user to display only values "x" and "y" for the characteristic A: I used analysis authorizations and it works properly
- On the second one role I need to inhibit the possibility to drilldown characteristic "A", but the user should execute the same query without restrictions. Is it possible without creating a new Query that doesn't contain "A" as a free characteristic?

Hi,
Have you tried authorization value ':'? Basically, value ':' has 2 purposes.
1. Enable execution of query that do not contain authorization-relevant InfoObjects that are checked in the cube.
2. Enable summary data to be reported for characteristic levels where users does not have authorization to access details data.
So, perhaps you can give the user authorization value ':' and build your second query without the authorization object in the free chars.

WAD - How to create the variables to have the selection criteria

Yes, It's possible.
I think in the menu options.. there tools--> create Table(it's not Table Web Item web item). May be similar option. we need to create the Table. Right now i don't have the system. you need to keep the 2 Drop Down Boxes in the Table(in the 2 coloumns).

Chart : Pies in WAD 7.0 - All the same results

Hi gurus,
I built a WAD 7.0 with 3 pies based on 3 views of the same queries.
Result: All the pies display the same key figures, those of the first data provider.
Has anybody got that problem.
I don't find any OSS note solving that.

WAD - How to Minimize the Space Between Drop-Down Box and Table

Hi all,
I am trying to display a query in 'Table' with Web Application Designer (WAD). First, I have placed the 'Drop-down box' web-item and 'Table' web-item below it in the Web Template. There is an half-inch of space between the 'Drop-down box' and the 'Table' when it displays on the browser. It doesn't look good with this gap.
How can I eliminate or minimize this gap, PLEASE ?.

 Thanks a lot for your help. Now it reduced the gap between the drop-down box and table to 3mm on browser.
But, there is no gap on web template. If we change some settings, we could still further reduce the gap while displaying it on browser.

Dynamic Counter in BEx Report to count the drilldown line item.

Hi,
I have a requirement to show the count of different parts in a report. For example the report,
Part Number            Costs
100                    200 $
and if you drill down from the part number to line item details, you will get,
Item Number            Costs
10                      50 $
20                      50 $
30                      50 $
40                      50 $
So basically Part Number 100 is consists of 4 Item numbers. Now I want to show original report like this,
Part Number            Costs               Counter
100                    200 $               4
Is there any way I can catch that counter, like how many line item is there per Part Number ?
I am thinking of 2 ways, Virtual key Figure to calculate this or in alternate if possible use the Classification extractor (not sure if it possible to count the number of items per classification extractor though).
Is there any better or simpler way to deal this without changing the cube structure ?

Drilldown across all tab pages of WAD

Hi,
I have developed a WAD template (BI 3.5) with 3 querries included. Each query(dataprovider) is displayed in one tab page of the web template.
The question is that if user drilldown on one query, can the drilldown apply to all querries?
How to get the return from the drilldown using javascript?

I´m facing a similar problem. We have developed a WAD template with 2 queries included, both in the same tab. We have common filters and free characteristics for both queries.
We want to be able to control the filters and the drill down on free characteristics for both queries simultaneously.
For the filters this works out fine because common filters are automatically applied to both queries, but for the drill down on free characteristics we understand this is not the case.
How should we configure it so that the drilldown on one query applies to the other queri also?

bi:QUERY value= dynamic in the WAD. How to do it ?

I need to define the query name somehow when the WAD is executed.
We have one common web template for all of our queries and that is why I need to dinamicaly say in the WAD code that if the query tech is ZTEST then the real value should be ZTEST_DOC, which is a separate query where we have to store the documents.
How to do this ?

During runtime you can get the query ID using text elemets, then using java script you can generate the query document format by appending ther required text to the query ID.
