Hi,
Background:
I have developed a WAD template with 11 static queries in it.
This gets broadcasted every morning automatically. The output format is MHTML.
Each query has 15 columns. The maximum number of row in the WAD is 100.
Requirement:
The management wants the same output in their BlackBerry.
The format could be anything, but users must be able to scroll horizontally and vertically, with the output.
Issue 1:
We are able to send the WAD to BlackBerry, but the format is getting distorted.
Every column value of a row is coming ONLY row-wise.
Management is keen on the attached format.
Issue 2:
Management wants two columns' heading(and not the data) out of 15 in different colours.
I don't know how to do it.
Request you all to please help me.

Hi,
U can integrate WAD and EP to BW 3.5, their integration exist for 3.5.
visual composer is new concept of netweaver 2004s. so integrate visual composer with 3.5 the underlying database must be SQL server.
For BI 7.0 this is not required.

Facebook and Blackberry APP World problems

I recently updated BBM and after that Facebook and Blackberry APPs not working. Have upgraded the system software, but still no luck.
Have tried to go to www.blackberry.com/ to download the new version of Blackberry app world, not luck, getting error "A communication failure has occurred. The server may be busy, please try again later. If the problem persists contact your service provider."
when trying to access Blackberry app world, giving error "A Blackberry Identity update is needed. " and when I click yes, I am getting this "Blackberry Identity installation failed. Please try again later.(80003)
Is there anybody that can help me, please!!!

Try connecting to App world after connecting your device to WiFi.
Or else,
There is an alternative for your problem to resolve.
What you do is connect your BlackBerry Smartphone with USB cable to Internet enabled desktop/laptop.
Go to the link mentioned below:

On top right of the page there is a option "Sign In".
Login with your BlackBerry ID and password.
From here you can download all as you do it for Appworld.
Hope this resolves your Problem!

5) Launch BlackBerry Camera from Lock Screen

6) Advanced BlackBerry Hub Inbox Controls
The BlackBerry Hub is the central inbox for all of you various BlackBerry 10 application notifications and messages. You can access basic Hub controls by clicking the Menu key at the bottom right of your Hub screen. (The Menu key looks like three dots stacked on top of each other.) But you can also access some advanced BlackBerry Hub controls from the date bars that appear in the inbox stream at the start of each new day.
Just hold a finger on a date bar to bring up controls that let you skip to the start of the past day, the start of the next day, jump to the top of the BlackBerry Hub, jump to the bottom of your BlackBerry Hub or mark all prior messages as read.
7) Speedy BlackBerry 10 Navigation
The BlackBerry 10 OS can be broken down into three main components: The BlackBerry Hub; the Active Frames screen; and your application panels. You can do navigation through these components using a basic set of swipes and gestures. But you can also use the tiny slider tray that appears at the bottom of the Active Frames screen and all of your home panels. Just tap a specific panel in the slide to navigate directly to that panel without scrolling. Touch the Active Frames square, which is composed of four smaller squares, to jump directly to your active apps page. Or tap the Hub button, which looks like three horizontal lines on top of each other, to navigate right to the Hub.
8) See Your Battery Life Status as a Percentage
The BlackBerry 10 OS does not currently allow you to set your battery-status indicator to show a specific percentage, only a battery icon. But you can check your device's hardware settings for a more specific battery status. Just open your device's Settings by sliding down from the top of your Active Frames or application-panel screen and choose Settings from the dropdown menu. Then click About. On the following screen, change the Category menu from General to Hardware. You'll see a battery percentage listed in the Hardware information.
9) BlackBerry 10 Boot Status as a Percentage
Whenever you restart or power up your BlackBerry 10 devices, a BlackBerry logo appears with a status bar that encircles it. The status bar shows you start-up progress, but you can also view that progress as a percentage number. Just hold your finger anywhere on the BlackBerry logo and a progress percentage appears.
10) BlackBerry Z10 Keyboard Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts
You can type special characters using the BlackBerry 10 virtual keyboard by holding your finger on top of a letter with associated special characters (e, a, i, o, u, y, etc.), and then sliding your finger over to the character of your choice.
Quickly sliding your finger downward from the top of your keyboard to its bottom cycles through the number and character screens so you don't have to tap the number/character screens button, which can slow down typing.
And you can delete an entire word instead of just individual letters by swiping leftward from the backspace key toward the center of your keyboard.

I have the books made on indesign but they are in Arabic and when I exported to epub, the Arabic is not displayed correctly on Adobe Digital Editions software
Can you help in that?
Am I right to choose epub or do you prefer other extentions as folio builder for example?

WAD and VC Integration issues

Hi Experts!
I need to integrate WAD and VC to accomodate the hierarchy filter. I follow the guide https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5a40f2f7-0c01-0010-d69f-c6317c5165cd
step by step. My requirements is similar to the scenario 6.1 in the guide; I need to have a button value help which invoke the hierarchy dialog and then send as a filter to the query. I was able to display the hierarchy in VC when clicking on the button value help but the problem is when the selection was made; there's nothing happen; the value doesn't send back to query to get filter.
I tried to turn the flash debugger on and I don't see any event being populated after making the selection from the hierarchy (in fact, nothing happens). I did try to just use the simple form to map the filter and nothing happens as well; the form input field is blank.
Can you please shed some light as to what I might be missing? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

interessting issue. A collleague told me the same issue a few days ago. He also told me that this could be caused by the Web API. We are investigate at the moment if this issue is an result of the Web API which is not offical support by SAP under SAP NetWeaver 7.0. (Now you should use the BICS (BI Consumer Services).)
Can you give me the information which SPS do you use?
We are using SPS 12 at the moment and also have some problems.

How to delete WAD and query objects in sap bi

we need to delete the WAD and query from the BW development server and transport the same to the quality and production.
please provide the task we need to perform to delete the particular WAD and related queries in the sap bi.

tcode RSZDELETE for query,
for WAD, Goto your web template-->Select Webtemplate(from menu) and then click on Delete.
While deleting it'll ask you for the trasport request, Save it in the TR and then move it prd--> web template in prd system will get deleted.
Note: WAD template can be delete through table RSZWTEMPLATE , but it is not recomended to delete it from the table.. and more over you'll not have autorization to delete entries in prd system.. so its better delete it from dev and save it in a TR and then move the TR to prd

ICP are an add on the BW system. The BI template wizard for this avaiable ofr dowload from SDN.

Outlook and Blackberry Calendar

I really want an calendar that will sync with my blackberry that I do not have to go online to use. I'm thinking of purchasing Outlook 07 for my laptop. My question is, I realize this is an email program also. I do not have to be online to manage and use the calendar part of the program, right? And outlook does sync with a blackberry (I have 8900)? Thanks for the help.
Edited to correct grammar and now I'm editing because I realize what I've said is confusing. So here is additonal explanation.
I knew I didn't explain that well enough. I know that I can sync with yahoo calendar and google calendar with my blackberry. I want to be able to share info between my device and my computer. I have no problems using google or yahoo calendars on my laptop. They are both excellent calendar programs. The problem is the internet is not really reliable at school and also they have gotten much stricter about which sites we can access and which ones we can't. I've heard that yahoo is now off limits so that means that calendar can't be used at school. That leaves google calendar which is fine just as long as the internet isn't down. There are times when I have my laptop available and not my blackberry so I do want my life on my computer also. If I can't get online on my computer, I'm up a creek. So in essence, do you have to be on the internet on your laptop in order to access the calendar functions in outlook?

Outlook 2007 will sync with your Blackberry just fine. You will have equal calendars on both the PC and the BB.
Two big changes to think about.
1) When syncing with Yahoo or Google online calendars, you have immediate transfer of data. If you updated Google
online calendar, or your Blackberry it would synch automatically, and vice versa.
2) With Outlook the synchronization takes place when you run the desktop manager sync program.
Example. You enter a meeting on the Outlook PC calendar for a 9:00 apt. Later you use your Blackberry
to enter an appointment for an 11:00am meeting. Both appointments are not visible on either calendar
until you run the synchronize program. I usually run it a night after work. All appointments from the PC and
Blackberry calendar are synchronized on both devices, and reflected for the next day.
You synchronize the Outlook calendar and the BB calendar through the default email address on both.

Thanks. Someone on a delphiforum mentioned that you can sync google with outlook so if you are wirelessly synced with google on your blackberry phone, that might work to update outlook. I've got outlook on order and amazon is sending it via pony express, LOL, so I'll be able to figure out more then. Whether it does or doesn't sync wireless is fine with me. Syncing physically and daily works for me. The sync does work well with google and blackberry as far as calendar stuff goes. It won't sync memo stuff or task stuff wirelessly. If I want google to know a task, I put it in the calendar seeing as I schedule most tasks anyway. If I don't, I get too wishy washy about them.

I could able to achive only as below.
1 . I published hierarchy iview into portal from WAD.
2. i created page in portal
3. assigned VC iview and WAD to page .
Its working fine. But i have couple of issues.
1. When I select between or last value from hierarchy . Navigation going back to starting position.
2.For WEBAPI, My hierarchy node each level of node values are storing in different infoobjects.
ex: hier0,hier1,hier2,hier3 etc.
In document there are only 2 infoobjects 1 for node and other one for value.
in my scenarion how to pass values from WAD to fetch values.

Emails, Call Logs and BlackBerry Messenger messages deleted

Almost exactly 2 years from the date I got my BlackBerry Curve 8300, my emails, call logs and BlackBerry Messenger messages keeps getting deleted without notice. The BlackBerry then stalls until I remove the battery and I log on again. Can anyone help me idetify the problem and how I can resolve this?

Web Application Design: BEx Web Application Designer
Use
Web application design allows you to use generic OLAP navigation for your BW data in Web applications as well as in business intelligence cockpits for simple or highly individual scenarios. Web application design comprises a broad spectrum of Web-based business intelligence scenarios, which you can adjust to meet your individual needs using standard Web technologies.
Features
The following graphic illustrates the basic concept of Web Application Design with the Web Application Designer as the central tool:
You can use this BEx Web Application Designer, the desktop application used to create Web applications, to generate HTML pages that contain BW-specific contents such as tables, charts or maps. These objects, which retrieve BW data from a data provider and place it in a Web application as HTML, are known as Web items. For more information on the Web items available, see Web Items.

WorkBook
Queries in Workbooks
Use
Queries are inserted into workbooks so you can display them. When you insert a query, a link is made between the cell areas of the worksheet and the data of the InfoProvider upon which the query is based. A link therefore exists between the Business Explorer and the Business Information Warehouse Server (BW Server). This link stays in place until you interrupt it (see Settings).
When you open a query and insert it into a workbook, the query is calculated and the view (initial view) of the data established in the Query Designer is displayed.
If variables that are ready for input are used in the query, you can enter the required values for the variables or confirm the default values when you insert the query.
Workbooks into which queries are inserted are no different in appearance than other Excel workbooks. They can be saved as files, copied, sent and (using Excel functions) edited however you like and even supplemented with other data.
Features
You can choose whether you want to insert a query into a new workbook, into an existing one, or into a workbook template:
If you want to insert a query into a new workbook:
Choose the symbol for Open...from the BEx toolbar. This brings you to the screen Open SAP BEx:
Select Queries from the left column.
Select a query from all those available. The queries are arranged according to InfoProviders.
Double-click on the required query or choose OK.
If you want to insert a query into the active workbook:
Open a workbook and, from the BEx toolbar, choose Tools ® Insert Query.... The query is then inserted into the current worksheet starting at the active cell.
If you want to insert a query into a workbook template:
Create a workbook template.
Insert the query into the workbook template.

If you use the function Based on Permanent Template (see Settings), the Business Explorer queries in all these workbooks will have the same formatting when you insert them.
