Wahoo ANT  in iPhone 4S rarely sensors my heartbeat

I have been using Wahoo for several years with my iPhone 3GS firstly using RunKeeper, and now Endomondo.
The Wahoo equipment worked fine until I connected to the new iPhone 4S.
I have only had the heart be measured once when sitting on a chair.
I have tried twice whilst doing my sport and again on a chair, but no reading.
Please advise how I can make the Wahoo work.

I received a response from Wahoo, which helped me check with the Wahoo Utility app.
The Wahoo Utility app measured my heart straight away.
Therefore, the issues seems to be with the Endomondo app.
However Endomondo worked with my iPhone 3GS, but only sometimes with my new iPhone 4S.
So, can Endomondo or Apple fix this, or can someone recommend a good app that works with the iPhone 4S and Wahoo please?

  • Wahoo ANT - Accessory Not Supported by iPhone

I try to connect a Wahoo ANT+ Fitness device, model AP201, to my iPhone 4 with IOS 5.1. I get the error message "This Accessory is Not Supported by iPhone". My wife has the same iPhone and the same IOS version and the accessory is working 100 % correctly with her iPhone. I have tried the following: Reset device in iTunes, Restored backup from iTunes, Reset all setting; however, the same message appears on my device. I have also tried to remove lint etc. from the connector contacts. Any ideas what to do next?

This does not help you, but i would like to mention that I have the exact same problem with my AP201 model (iOS5.1.1).
    - Connector is clean (very clean).
    - IPHONE 3GS en IPAD2 are working correctly, and 4 different iphone4 models do not work....
I hope Wahoo or Apple has a solution to this problem.

  • IPhone Liquid Submersion Sensor and Dead Pixels

Today I went down to my carrier HQ. (Singtel, Singapore).
I went to spoke to the person at the iPhone servicing counter.
He told me that my iPhone Liquid Submersion Sensor has been triggered and it's now out of warranty.
And my purpose is there, to have my iPhone exchange as my home button is getting unresponsive at times.
And he told me that this is under Apple policy. When I purchase the phone, the salesperson didn't even told me about the policy and I wasn't aware of that.
So the main point is my iPhone Liquid Submersion Sensor and I didn't even drop it into any liquid, I don't know why but it's just unfair for me as an end user.
Question here, will playing apps like Ocarina activate the iPhone LSS? Only my bottom LSS is triggered, the top one isn't.
Also to recall, at the point when I'm buying my iPhone 3G last year, out of the box there is already a dead pixel and the person refuse to change a new set for me.
I'm in need of an iPhone urgently, anybody can tell me what to do?

Ocarina could trigger the water sensor since you could spit into the dock connector while blowing into the mic.

  • Iphone 6 proximity sensor not working any more

    Dear apple users,
A few weeks ago i dropped my iphone 6 and my screen broke, so I decided to fix it. I ordered a screen online and changed it. Every thing seemed to be fine until i tried to call somebody, because my screen didn't turn off when calling, yet my light sensor did work. So I took it apart again and again and again but it didn't change anything. I went online and read on some forum that you had to tape it off in order to keep light from getting into the sensor. So i tried but also this didn't work. I really don't know what to do now, does anyone know how to fix this problem? By the way, I should just have brought it to apple, but I thought this would be a lot mor expensive and take a lot more time. But after all I should have never done this
    With kind regards,
    Joost Bun

Sorry, but as you already wrote, you should have never done this, and Apple will not service the phone anymore after you have opened the phone.
Your only chance would be finding a 3rd party repair service that can fix that for you. And we can't help you either, due to the Terms of Use in these discussions.
    Good Luck anyway.

  • IPhone 3G tilt sensor not calibrated correctly

    Hi-
I activated an iPhone 3G today and I've noticed the tilt sensor is broken/mis-calibrated. An install of a iPhone 'level' app confirms that it is off by about 5 degrees. For instance, if I play a driving game and hold the phone level, I'll drive around in counter-clockwise circles
Is there a way to re-calibrate or did I get a dud?
    Thanks-
    -KR

Each app that incorporates the Phone's accelerometer typically has a calibrate feature built into the app.

  • IPhone screen touch sensors cancelled out over gallery when accordion w/ menu embedded extends over

iPhone 4s screen touch sensors are cancelled out over a gallery when an accordion w/ a menu embedded in it extends over the area.  Upon FTP uploading the site, when I load each page from my iPhone the menu extends and then retracts.  The area over which the accordian panel with the menu in it extends loses the touch sensitivity.  I learned this when I had a gallery at the top of the page.  Swiping left or right only continues to work bellow where the accordian extended to before retracting.  And although activating the "Light box" works, the light box itself becomes an empty spot on the screen because it's invisible from my phone.  Either I can place the Light box at the top of the screen under the banner and menu or at the bottom.  Either way, it looks like a blank spot from my phone.
    Please fix these features.
    Thank you.

After almost 2 days of ICS, here's another update:
    CONS:
No notification on lockscreen. The heck important is that.
Calendar widget not even showing the next event.
Lag on Facebook, or even other social media apps while typing something.
SYSTEM UI IS NOT RESPONDING. I almost gone in that moment, where I did a quick Settings Reset after reboot. This is a major con, Sony.
Swiping up and down with many items is now unresponsive, sometimes stopping quickly at a certain point.
    PROS:
Bloatwares can now be disabled, or even uninstalled in Apps Settings. I tried to remove What's App, appXtra, and UEFA.com bloatwares, and now it's gone. Let's Golf HD can now be disabled.

  • E-Case iSeries iPhone case - proximity sensor issue

    Hello,
I have the E-Case iSeries iPhone case for my iPhone 5 ... it's basically a very durable Ziploc bag ... it's great for keeping out dirt, dust, sand, water, etc. (it's nature proof) but I'm having a hard time using Siri with it.
Basically, every time I try to use Siri while the iPhone is in the iSeries case, the screen goes out and my iPhone acts as if I'm putting it up to my ear; it goes into "headset mode" or whatever it's called when you bring an iPhone up to your ear while using Siri or other services.
This is very frustraing, especially when it happens while you're in midsentence.
This happens because the case itself is interferring with the proximity sensor - the same behavior occurs when I take the case off and attempt to use Siri while putting my finger over the proximity sensor.
Is there a way of disabling this automatic "headset mode" feature while using Siri?

Yeah, I just saw that in an iFixit.com video.  I slid my phone down a little bit in its slot, so that the sensor was a little further into the handset speaker opening and it seems to help.  Otherwise, I could always cut a little notch there around it.
I was a little surprsied that three of four AppleCare technicians were unaware of this issue.  I upgraded from a 3GS to the 4S last week and began noticing the problem, thinking it was one of my apps interacting/conflicting with Siri.  I even did a hardware exchange at an Apple store (under warranty) - nobody there seemed to have an awareness of this issue.  I'm surprised.

  • Iphone about light sensor

Iphone light sensor design mobile phone has some defects, such as mobile phone but from bright place back to when the shadows light sensor can't make timely adjust, cause when in the shade is still bright screen, or from dark turn to bright light environment when might not make timely adjust. Hope engineering and technical personnel can through the future software update or hardware transformations make the light sensor become more downy, timely.

I noticed that too. Very cool, particularly when you're on the phone and need to keep entering in numbers rather than get a real live person on the other end.

  • Iphone 5's sensor has a red light

    Pease help....
Is anything wrong with my sensor?
It appears everytime I unlock my apple.
If I upgrade to iOS 6.1.4, will it appear again?

Hello. It's nothing to worry about. It is the proximity sensor which seems as if a red light is lit, though it isn't a light but just a colour which glows like Radium. It is nothing harmful to the iPhone nor is any sign of danger from the iPhone. A proximity sensor works when you bring your iPhone close to the ear, it makes the screen turn off while you are voice calling to save battery. It happens in all the iPhone and your iPhone is not the only one. Thank You!

  • IPhone 5s fingerprint sensor stopped working

    Hi!
After buying and using the iPhone 5s, the fingerprint sensor was working great until a week ago, when it suddenly started... Well, not working, really. Updating to 7.0.3 did not help. I didn't drop the phone, should not be anything that I did as far as I can tell.
Any siggestions on how I can resolve this? Thanks in advance!

I have the same, suddenly no finger scan works anymore. I deleted all and try to do again and it keep giving the message " try using different finger" . The sensor does not even make a noise anymore. I think it is broken.

  • IPhone 4 moisture sensor

    Hi,
I have a problem back home in Romania with the wireless carrier service provider. They took my 4 for service ( home button problem an volume "-" not functional) in a plastic bag even after I asked them why, because I went to the colection point with its original box and accesories. After 15 days they sent it back warranty voided because of the moisture sensors being triggered . Well it does not look right because I use a Griffin Survivor case. And also because it was never even remotely close to water. And I bought the phone from an Apple reseller. And why they took it wraped in a plastic bag when I had the box???
Long story short, how can I complain to Apple about the way this service works??? I am not the only one with this problem and they keep doing it.
There is any contact e-mail from Apple Inc?
Any advices more then welcomed !!!
    Best regards,
    Dan St

Thanks for the reply. Is your sensor partially white & silver or all silver?

  • Is anyone having problems with the iPhone 5 motion sensors?

I having a problem with my phone when it comes to reading movement, the compass doesn't work when it asks to tilt phone to calibrate and in some games it doesn't read when I tilt the phone. I read that apple had a lot of customer complaints about bad motions sensors not be calibrated correctly and I was wondering if anyone else is having/had this problem and what was done to fix it.

I've not had this problem.  Thanks for asking.

  • IPhone 4 - Proximity Sensor "stuck" while trying to end a call.

Hello, I have an iPhone 4 that is updated to 4.1. I noticed a few days ago, that when I am on a call (Phone) and I am done and I go to hang up, the iPhone is still in a blank screen mode, like the one where the screen shuts off when u bring it close to your face. and it is stuck on that mode until i hit the Sleep/Unlock button rapidly for about 3 seconds. then it makes the unlock sound and brings me to the lock screen. this is very annoying as with previous iPhones, you would press end call, but now the button isnt there because the screen is still turned off.
This however does not happen when i am calling thru my Apple headset

You have a problem in your phone that needs troubleshooting. Do the basic steps described on page 242 of the User Guide:
    Restart phone.
    Reset phone (no data loss).
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup (no data loss).
Restore as a new iPhone without using a backup.
If restore as new doesn't help, you have a hardware issue that needs evaluation by Apple.

  • IPhone 5 RARELY searches for signal. Useless.

Me and a friend have both noticed the iPhone 5 doesn't bother searching for signal at all. We are both on different networks, both upgraded from previous iPhones.
For work I move areas a lot so I pass black spots often.
I have to toggle airplane mode many many times a day for the phone to start searching for signal.
VERY FRUSTRATING. All I want is to pick up the phone and use it when I want!
This is not a network issue.
This is clearly a firmware issue and some prat has thought it was a great way to save battery.
I would take it back to the 3store I got it from but the store doesn't exist anymore... well according to iOS 6 maps!!!!
    Sort it out!!
    Grrrrr

At home I have full 3G signal, all the time, everywhere in the house. Always have done.
If I've been on the road, get home, nine times out of ten it will still say no service, even if I leave it for a while it won't bother to search for signal and I know fully well there is excellent coverage in my house.
Toggle airplane mode, it triggers it to search networks and I get the full 3G signal back.
I don't know how you've assumed it's a fact I have little network coverage. "Gosh"
