Wahoo Fitness Blue HR

Can I use the Wahoo Fitness Blue HR while playing basketball or tennis leaving my Iphone 5 in my bag next to the court?

Hi,
Did you use one of the supported Apps like the Wahoo Fitness App to try and connect?  It uses BT40 which does not interact with the Bluetooth menu in the Settings App.  It should connect directly to any of the Apps that support it.  If you try to connect it from the Bluetooth menu in the Settings App it will not appear.

  • IPod 4 and Wahoo, compatible?

I purchased a Wahoo Fitness Blue HR in San Francisco at the Apple store to go with my ipod touch 4th generation. The clerk told me they were compatible but once I get home, I cannot get them to pair. Are they compatible?

Sorry, it is not compatible. It says on the web-site. It is only compatible with the iPod Touch 5, iPhone 4s and 5, iPad 3, 4 and Mini.
You should get a refund, it is not cheap.

Calibrate your ipod by charging fully, then using it until it drains then charging it again. And resetting might help too.

  • Mac Mini can't identify BlueTooth smart devices

I have a Kurt Kinetic InRide Watt meter and corresponding Heart Rate Monitor (Wahoo Fitness TICKR) that our Late 2014 Mac Mini (2.6 ghz i5 OS X 10.10.2) can't identify.   The devices pair fine with my iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2 so I'm sure it doesn't have to do with the devices.   But when I turn off the bluetooth for these other Apple Products and open Bluetooth preferences on the Mac Mini, the computer can't find the bluetooth smart devices.

  • IOS health app stopped synching

Has anyone else had their IOS 8.2 Health app stop synching with the Wahoo Fitness app? My data has stopped synching on the 12 March (after an IOS update?). I have all the historic and manually entered Fitness data present in the Health app upto and including the 12 March, then nothing is synched. When I try a manual synch from the Fitness app on data after the 12th March, I get the "com.apple.healthd.sqlite error 1" message.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've even tried:
    1. Turn off all syncing by theirs-party sources.
    2. Delete all third-party apps that might sync data so that the Health App "Sources" list is empty
    3. Reset all settings on the phone.
    4. Reload third-party apps one by one
    5. Selectively turn on syncing by third-party apps and only sync categories I really want to see.
All to no avail. The Health App crashes constantly and when trying to input data into third-party apps, those apps will crash also.
I'm currently trying to sync data with:
    UP by Jawbone (UP24)
    Withings HealthMate (Withings WiFi scale)
    MyFitnessPal
    Runtastic
    Nike+

  • Unable to use Garmin Heart Rate Monitor (ANT+) with iOS 8.

I have a new iPhone 6. On my previous iPhone 5 with iOS 7 I used Digifit to track my exercise and monitor my heart rate with a Garmin Heart Rate monitor and never had any problem with it. I use an ANT+ 30-pin transceiver attached with Apple's 30-pin to lightning connector to connect to the Garmin Heart Rate Monitor. Since getting my new iPhone 6, when I try to start an exercise program in Digifit it hangs while trying to connect the the sensors. I handed down my old iPhone 5 to my daughter and tried it with her's, which is now updated to iOS 8, with the same results. Therefore I believe it must be a problem with iOS 8.
    Anyone else have similar issues?
I wonder if it is related to the HealthKit bug?
    Solutions?
    Thanks!

As I've never seen an ANT adapter for a lightning connector, I can't imagine why "apple" would give you that advice. Sounds as if the person you were talking to might not be an athlete? I've heard that people have managed to kind of make the old Wahoo key work with the adapter that Apple sells for using older 30-pin accessories with the newer phones with lightning connectors. It sounds like a mess and a disaster waiting to happen to me. I'm also not sure why you should not use BT. I've found it works fine.
You might want to take a look at Wahoo's RFLKT+:

It's not the total answer to your issue but it might help.
Also, see the link I posted above to DC Rainmaker's site. You'll find lots of great information on training gadgets there.

  • Heart Rate Monitor Recommendations for iPhone 4S and/or iPod 3G?

I've recently started using the Nike+ app and sensor for tracking my walking/treadmill activity.  Unfortunately, it does not work on an elliptical machine, but it's still a lot of fun and I'm doing something good for myself in the process.
The next step is to track my heart rate during exercises, which requires a heart rate monitor (strap) that communicates back to an iPhone app.  I think I've exhausted the possibilities of getting any heart rate monitor to communicate back to the Nike+ app, unless I'm willing to purchase a brand new Nano and cut my music catalog down by a tenth, so that isn't happening.  So I'm looking at a heart rate monitor that will communicate with a widely used, reliable and/or low cost iPhone 4S app, preferably one that can work at the same time as the Nike+ app that is stock, resident and free on the iPhone and which I use and will continue to use while walking with the Nike+ sensor that gets attached to my shoelaces.
The next step is the heart rate monitor itself (strap).  Lots and lots of choices out there but all roads lead toward Wahoo Fitness and their combination ANT+ plug into the base of the iPhone, and the heart rate monitor strap.  Looks like I can get them both on Amazon for about $60, which is a lot cheaper than I saw elsewhere.  Very expensive line of products.  And lots of "hopefullys" - hopefully, it won't drain my battery down on moderate to long walks; hopefully, I can run their app and the Nike+ app at the same time without interfering with one another (they do have a stride sensor but that's just more money that I've already spent on the Nike+ sensor which works fine); and hopefully, the stock strap will fit a 52" - 54" chest (I'm a big guy, they offer no data, they have no contact number, I'd have a drop them a support email and just wait for a response, company reputation for customer service is not good).
So am I looking at the best choice for my needs, or has anyone else recently purchased a similar system for measuring heart rate, stride and/or any other critical components of their exercise routine?  I am up for suggestions and not making any purchases so fast.
Last but not least, my current Nike+ app and sensor also work with my old iPod 3G running iOS5, I'm hoping that whatever I wind up with will work on that setup as well.
    Thank you.

Thank you very much for the response.  I actually purchased and have already returned a Polar heart rate monitor strap and a Nike+ Sportsband.  I could not even get them to work, and the strap was very small on me (I've got a 54" chest).  All roads lead towards Wahoo, but customer support is ABYSMAL.  You basically have to email them a question and wait for a response back, they have no chat or phone.  Ridiculous.  Anyway, my questions to them are pretty basic, maybe you can answer:
1.) The strap that you recommend works only with the 4S, which is fine, but I also have an iPod 3G that I'd like to use as well.  Some of their other straps are compatible with both.
2.) There's no measurement on the Polar strap that I just returned, so I have no way of comparing the fit on one or more of these Wahoo straps versus the Polar one.  I know that I just need a big one (XXL or better).  How is the fit on the one that you have?
3.) The whole reason why I initially went the Polar/Nike+ route was to go with the least complicated setup to get real time data on stride, distance, calories, etc. PLUS heart rate.  All on pretty much two screens (iPhone and Sportband), and with the idea that I could still multitask during a workout (i.e. check email, send a text, toggle between any open apps, etc.).  All of my research so far indicates that a Wahoo setup is going to have problems with this.  First, the rumor is that no app using a Wahoo heart monitor strap is going to allow you to exit that app and still take active readings (again, this would not have been a problem with the Sportband, but I couldn't get it to work).  Then even if that works, I don't know if the chosen Wahoo app will be able to measure heart rate while Nike+ and a shoe sensor are still measuring stride, distance, etc. (i.e. will they interfere with one another?  Will I be forced to purchase the Wahoo stride sensor too, and then it gets back to which apps work with the stride sensor, will they allow multitasking, etc.?)
It would be SO much easier for me if these Wahoo folks had a PHONE and could answer my questions.  To make purchases, try things out, return them, etc. that's crazy.  Waiting a day or two for presales questions in this day and age is unacceptable, but that's where I'm at.  I'd appreciate your continued input on this.
Btw, there is a third option beyond Polar/Nike+ and Wahoo, and that's Garmin, but the app reviews were horrible.  Wahoo was the cheapest overall, I just need to know that it's going to work and serve my needs before making the purchase.
    Thanks.

  • NX8400GS Flicker Playing HD DVD

I've noticed that I get flicker in the bottom 10% of the screen when I watch HD DVDs.  This happens in both Nero and PowerDVD, so I assume it's not the software.  The same software played fine on my 8800GTS on the same display.
    Here's my setup:  Dell c521 AMD 64 X2 4000+ (5000+ on the way).  XBox 360 HD DVD.  NX8400GS-TD256E.  2GB Ram.  1TB Disk.  SB X-FI Xtreme Audio.  Westinghouse LVM-47w1 via DVI 1080p.  XP SP2, Nero 7.10.1.0 w/HD Plugin, nForce 162.18, PureVideo.
Overclocking the card reduced the flicker to only a 1-2 second flicker on scene change.
FYI:  Man this thing overclocks nice.  I've it cranked up to 560/460 and I haven't hit the wall yet.

While the video card could handle the decoding of HD video, the current MacBook Pro models will probably never be able to play directly from a Blu-Ray drive because the video card does not support the necessary "protected video path". It is basically a restriction mandated by the movie industries that makes it more difficult to intercept the HD video and make copies from it.
If you really want to watch Blu-Rays on a MacBook Pro, your best bet is to wait for machines to come out with Blu-Ray drives already installed. That's what I am waiting for.
There is a company that will fit Blu-Ray drives to current MacBook Pros, but of course you cannot play video yet.

  • IOS7.0.4 does not recognize my smart bluetooth heart rate monitor

I just upgraded to ios7.0.4.  My iphone 4s finds my smart bluetooth heart rate monitor, but does not communicate with it.  The heart rate monitor i am using is a BlueHR by Wahoo Fitness.  It has a utility app to check connectivity.  When I run that app it says bluetooth 4.0 is detected.  it then connects to my heart rate monitor and displays a constant number.  This is my third BlueHR (the first one was stolen but worked fine on IOS6).  I bought a second one with these bad results, I though it was bad so I returned it and replaced it with a new one. I go the same results.  Everything has appeared to happen since I updated to IOS7.0.4.

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

I had a 640GB HDD in my Early 2008 Macbook and it was just too much it would always freeze up the computer a bit for only a few seconds but ya. Then I realized that it was the size of the HDD that was causing it since the Early 2008 Macbook models can only handle a MAX od 500GB while the Early 2008 Macbook Pros could have a MAX of 640GB (Lucked out there!) lol But ya the Early 2008 Mocbooks can only handle a MAX HDD size of 500GB and that's it!! lol

  • Will this WD 1TB Scorpio Blue hard drive fit in my 2007 macbook?

    Hello all
I'm shopping for a new internal hard drive for my 2007 macbook(the actual label in System Profiler is "macbook 2,1"). Nothing wrong with the one I have, I'm just looking for a bigger drive. I've come across one in particular - the Western Digital 1TB Scorpio Blue 5200 RPM 8MB Cache, model WD10TPVT - there are plenty of reviews from people saying that it fit in their 13" unibody macbooks and macbook pros, but I want to know if it will fit in my 2007 13" macbook. I ask because the drive appears to have different dimensions than most other laptop hard drives. Does anybody know? I'd appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

No it won't fit. The maximum height of a hard drive for your model is 9.5mm and the 1TB WD drive is 2.5mm.
