    I have a PC with Windows 8.  I purchased Photoshop Elements 13 with Premiere Elements 13 Feb 9.  I think I downloaded both today (each took about 15 minutes to download).  Each appeared to have two components.  When I attempted to run the exc piece, I received an error message.  I don't know what to do next?

    if the error message was about a missing archive, you need to place both the exe and 7z files in the same directory for photoshop elements.  and then do the same for premiere elements.
    then click the exe in each directory.

  • Trying to cancel account but waiting for ages on h...

    I am trying to cancel my account as I am moving in with my partner who already has BT but trying to get through to someone is impossible. When I phone up the waiting time to speak to a person is min 10 mins, time and cost I just don't have. Does anyone know when the best time to call is? Or how I go about finding out how much cancelling is going to cost me.
    My plan is:
    Phone: unlimited evening and weekend plan
    Internet: Total Broadband option 1
    TV: BT Vision Essential
    I think I have one month left on my contract.
    Any advice welcome!

  • Not used my G5 Powermac (late 2004) for ages. Only boots in with Installation disk, but colour dots on white screen and message comes up to reboot machine. Nothing happens.

    Not used my G5 Powermac (late 2004) for  about 2 years. Was going to set it up for the lads to do school work.
    However it only boots in with Installation disk, but colour dots on white screen and message comes up to reboot machine. However nothing happens apart from me keep trying. Also the numerous fans get louder and louder and louder.....
    Any ideas folks

    Can you please provide details on the exact model?
    For a start, the PRAM battery is likely dead.  PRAM tells the computer which drive to start with, other basic information.  Still, you can usually get the computer to start, though bad PRAM is unpredictable and could be stopping that.
    Some computer models use software to control cooling fans.  If there's no software commands they automatically go into high speed to prevent overheating.  Your software obviously isn't loading, so runaway fans.

  • Compatibility of Photoshop Elements 5 with Premiere Elements 7

    I have Photoshop Elements 5 and have created an audio slideshow in it, but I was told that in order to get it to DVD that can play on things other than my PC, I'll need to get Premiere Elements. Is that right?
    If so, would I be able to buy just Premiere Elements 7 and use it to do this and to do other stuff with PSE 5?
    Or would I need to buy Premiere Elements 7 with Photoshop Elements 7?
    Any help is really appreciated.
    Thanks!

    I am not 100% sure but I believe that PSE5 will only create a VCD... so will not burn to a DVD but only to a CD. Some DVD players will play VCD discs, not sure if all will.
    If you buy PE7 you would need to export your slideshow in WMV format and bring this into PE7 for further work/burning.

  • "Waiting for real-time target (RT PXI target) to respond" error when the program waits interrupts

    Hi there,
    I have developed an application to detect interrupts generated by a electronic card and act in consequence. The program has been developed in labview but it calls a dll; that was created with labwindows. The dll is programmed to open the visa communication, enable events and install the interrupt handler and when an interrupt is detected, it reads the value of the different registers of the card and returns it to labview to visualize them.
    The problem is that when the program waits for an interrupt, a prompt appears with the message "Waiting for real-time target (RT PXI target) to respond" and the only option I have is to click on the button to disconnect from the pxi or just wait. If I wait and I generate an interrupt, the prompt disappears and the application visualize the data like it was expected.
    To wait for the interrupt the following code has been programmed in the function:
                    while (flag == 0)
                                    Sleep (1000);
    When an interrupt occurs, the value of flag changes to 1 and the function continue without any problem. I am not really sure, but probably here is the problem and probably this is not the best way to wait for an interrupt because the sleep function suspends the thread for the configured time, but at least the computing load in the PXI is between 0% and 1%. I was wondering if somebody knows how to wait for an interrupt without "lost" the communication with the PXI and if there is a better way to do it.
    Any answer will be welcome and thanks for them,
    Jaime
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Naity,
    First of all, in which thread runs the waiting process? Is it scheduled in another thread than the function setting the flag?
    It scheduled in the same thread that I use to configure the communications and configure the card. Anyway, here is the pseudo code of the function interrupt that I programmed under labwindows,.
    char* interrupt(void)
    1. Open visa communications
    2.Install handler interrupt --> status = viInstallHandler (instr, VI_EVENT_PXI_INTR, IntrHandler, VI_NULL);   // the function IntrHandler will be called when an interrupt occurs
    3. Enable event PXI interrupt
    4. Wait
    while (flag == 0)
                  Sleep (1000);
    5. Visualize the data coming from the interrupt (registers and values measured with the card)
    6. Uninstall handler interrupt
    7. Close visa session
    The interrupt handler function IntrHandler is called immediately when an interrupt occurs and the pseudo code is like this
    ViStatus _VI_FUNCH IntrHandler(ViSession instr, ViEventType etype, ViEvent event, ViAddr userhandle)
    1. Disable some functions of the card to avoid damages.
    2. Read registers and put them in a buffer
    3. Change the value of flag ---> flag = 1;
    In labview, I call the function interrupt with a call library function node (see the capture attached) and the program reads and saves the data from returned from the function.
    Secondly, I am not sure this method is the most elegant. You could for example register an event with the function and, insteand of setting a flag to 1, trigger the event and schedule it in another thread (if the function is thread safe). This could reduce your CPU Load even more and seem a bit cleaner to me.
    I've never used events before in labwindows but I will try to do it in this way. But anyway, I suppose that I should; somehow, wait the event to occurs in labview while the waiting for the event is programmed inside the dll...and probably the same prompt that i am trying to avoid is going to appear again, because I am not returning the "control" to labview (I mean, labview executes the dll and waits for the event to occur. Then the execution of the labview program is stopped in the call library function node executing the dll)
    Third point, which environment of development are you using?
    I am working with LV 2010 sp1 and Labwindows cv 10.0.1 and with the real time module.
    I did also another test, I divided the program in different functions, one to initialize the communication, another to wait until a interrupt has been detected and the other to obtain the data from the interrupt and close communications. With labview I call first with the call library function node the function to initialize, later I call inside a while loop the wait function like this
    int waitAseconds (double seconds, short stop_waiting)
    if(flag==1 || stop_waiting == 1)
    flag = 1; //to detect the stop_waiting button
    printf("flagAA =1 stop waiting = %d time = %d\n", stop_waiting, clock());
    return flag;
    else
    SleepUS(seconds*1000000);
    //a++;
    printf("flag a= %d stop waiting = %d time = %d\n", flag, stop_waiting, clock());
    return flag;
     and when the program detects an interrupt, the function returns to labview the flag and stops the loop. Finally, it reads the values and close communications.
    In this way, the prompt appears but after running the application for 10 or 20 minutes and also i checked that there is a time gap between the executions in the loop.
    Thanks for your reply and your help,
    Jaime

  • TS4124 I have the cloud icon next to music heading in iTunes, not individual songs, am I waiting for something???

    I have match, I have a cloud on my heading music in iTunes, I have no music on iPhone other than my past purchases and apps. Am I waiting for something to happen in iTunes with this cloud? I don't have clouds next to songs, I can't download anything even though match is on all devices. Please help.

    The small cloud icon to the right of your songs means the song is not stored on you devices drive, not that it was uploaded to iCloud.  You can listen to that song, but it's being streamed.  If you tap on the small cloud icon it should download the song onto your devices hard drive.  Once you do that the icon should not reappear again.

  • Wait for rev B?

    Hi, all.
    What's the word on rev B Intel iMacs? Are they worth waiting for, or are people generally pleased with their rev A? I know there are no certain answers to such questions, but I was just curious what iMac users here thought. I have a great promo deal for the iMac that expires soon, and I'm wondering whether to jump on it now or wait.
    Also, is there an appreciable difference in iMac performance between 1.5 and 2 gigs of RAM?
    Any feedback appreciated.
    DPL
    G4 466, iBook 1.2   Mac OS X (10.4.1)

    David,
    Definitely pull the trigger now, while you still have your finger on it.
    If you have a good deal now, and you feel that the current Intel iMacs will fulfill your needs, then I would suggest you go ahead and get it now. With the exception of some professional apps that are not yet in universal format, these new iMacs are very fast, very efficient and very stable.
    With regards to a rev b coming up, well here is what I have to say: Software changes very quickly, but I noticed that people's needs don't do so as fast. With the exception of work stuff (come to think of it, even with that), my personal needs have not really changed in the last 4 years---some photo editing, music, surfing, word processing. In that amount of time imacs have moved from the "lampshade" flat panel models to the current iMac Intels, and to tell you frankly, the iMac flat panel of four years ago will still fulfill my needs now (even on a professional level, actually).
    What I'm saying is that another "newer" model may come up eventually (That's inevitable), but the Intel iMacs will not be outmoded with regards to your "needs" any time soon.
    In fact, with Intel being a new platform, you can only expect forward movement in terms of new products, software and services in this area.
    As to when the rev B will be coming... well, who knows. So if you've got a good deal now, go for the Intel iMac---it's the newest one out there so you can't go wrong.
    Hope this helps.

  • Workflow WAIT FOR EVENT STEP deadline not working

    Hi,
    Need some inputs for the experienced people;
    I have a wait for event step in a workflow with deadline monitoring (Latest End) but it doesn't seem to work.
    Ofcourse, all the required setting are in place and deadline works fine for other Activity steps.
    The problem is specific to Wait for event step.
    The alternative is having a fork but I just want to know why the wait step with deadline doesn't work.
    Thanks,

    Hello Ajay,
    Can you share with us what did you do to solve your problem?
    I'm facing the same thing in my project now, I'm wandering if you could help me with this one.
    I have this wait for an event step wich is configured to wait 4 minutes since the work item creation. I've also selected 'Modeled' on the Action field, and a display text for the outcome.
    But in one of my tests, the event hasn't occurred and the workflow stuck in this task forever.
    Thanks in advance.

    I had 2 partitions on the HD one with Tiger and other with 9.2.2 - none of them appear in the list of startUp folders. would not go into the Target mode.

    also I did not hear start up sound anymore. Yesterday it was still audible.... can someone please help?!
    iBook dual USB   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    thanx for replying. Last night I finally managed to start up the machine using a FireWire ext HD as a StartUp Disk. Disk Utility and TechTool Pro and Disk Warrior are not showing the internal HD at all.
    Since I was not able to use any start CDs including original MacOs X and 9 Cds maybe it is a problem with Data Cable that connects both HD and optical drive with logic board? It is hard to imagine why it would come to something like that. Overheat? I did not have enough free space on Tiger partition - 1GB. Maybe that. I am starting to look for a replacement HD....

  • Itune connect stuck on waiting for application upload

    hello
    after one waiting for my app review it was rejected because it had iTouch on its name
    now i have changed the name, updated metadata, and created new binary
    but i don´t have any way of uploading it now
    the button to update binary that appeared after being rejected is now gone
    i tried to use application loader and it reports upload success but on the app status keeps showing waiting for upload
    i am getting crazy with this...
    so much bureaucracy and lack of communication keeps me too away from developing that is what i was supposed to be doing

    agreed. Apple's developer support for iPhone app writers have been a joke, My app has been going through the hoops in itunes connect, but i never know if there is something i should be doing to get it further. The least they could do is have a simple FAQ which explains what you need to do for each step and how long the overall process is expected to take.
    [email protected] is worthless too and never replies. Cmon guys, i need something more than the automated response.
