Wait for end mp4 DIr 11.5

Does anybody know how to make Director 11.5  wait for end of a mp4 (h264) video ?
I made the upgrade to version 11.5 just for being able to import and control the MP4 as read I have read in the
"Top features: Support for MP4, H.264, FLV, and F4V video formats and video streaming"

It work perfectly, thanks Dean, and make me know in the next survey;
I usually get it late.....
I work with director since version 7, it's still a nice program for very professionals presentations.
More versatile and productive than flash for our point of view.
Fortunately I need poor programming knowledge but most graphic or communication skills.
With mp4 I can introduce video as a graphic component so After Effect (as before Photoshop)
became a contribution program.
But.
Flv doesn't work, is practically impossible to import the file into the timeline without having an error message.
Mp4 sometimes is not visible, if I go to play in editing mode.
Some suggestions?
I'm working on a Boxx Extreme. Win XP 64bit , 4 quadcore, 2 Nvidia Quadro CX graphic cards

  • Why does File Explorer Seem to Wait for End-to-End Confirmation?

    For quite a few versions now, when copying large blocks of files from place to place it seems like Explorer adds an arbitrary delay or maybe waits for confirmation internally that every file has been actually written to the disk before continuing.
    On a modern computer with plenty of RAM for cache and a massively powerful SSD-based I/O system (capable of sustaining gigabytes per second of throughput),
    why should we ever wait for a copy of a few hundred megabytes of files?  Theoretically it should complete in a second or two.
    In fact, back on XP one could observe exactly the behavior I'm describing - file transfers - especially on hard disk but even over the network - would proceed at a very breakneck pace.
    Yet it's not uncommon to see miniscule transfer speeds while copying groups of files that even the oldest, cheapest hard drive could sustain...
    What's the setting to have Explorer stop waiting and just get on with the copy, filling the cache with the data to be written later?  Some of us don't want to wait that extra minute to get the job done.  I know whomever programmed the cutesy
    little graph wants to make sure we all see it, but...

  • Dynamic start of subvi without waiting for end of subvi

    How can I load and run a SubVI without waiting in the MainVI for the end of execution of the SubVI.

    Use the Open VI Reference to specify the VI and then an invoke node. The method you want is Run VI and you can optionally Wait Until Done.

  • Wait for end of DVD chapter

    Hi,
    How can I play a DVD chapter but only until it ends and then
    jump back
    to a frame in my Director movie?
    I know that I can use:
    member("DVD").play([#title:1, #chapter:1])
    Will that pause at the end of chapter 1?
    Does anything special have to be encoded into the DVD chapter
    at the
    end?
    How can I tell if chapter 1 is done?
    At the moment I have a DVD that at the end of a chapter that
    i want to
    play, it jumps to a menu in the DVD. I want it to jump to my
    Director
    menu page. Can I do this without changing anything on the
    DVD.
    Thanks in advance
    John

    Encore doesn't offer a feature that would pause at the end of a chapter.
    It could be done with a workaround, but instead of pressing the Play button, the user would have to press the Next button if a timeline or chapter playlist is used, or the Enter button if a menu is used.

  • Can iTunes be set to stop at the end of a track and wait for a manual play.

    I am wanting to use itunes to play sound effects in a live drama but I need to have it stop at the end of each track and wait for a manual start. It needs to be done without deselecting and selecting tracks by myself and, importantly, others who may be confused by the computer.
    If iTunes can't do this is there any other app that can, I've been looking but failed to find any apart from DJ packages which are more complicated than I would like for others to use.
    Dave

    You want to have a bunch of tracks, play them in order, the first one plays then it stops and all you have to do is hit Play to continue to next track?
    This script will do it.
    Play the first track and iTunes will stop at the end and queue up the next song. Just press Play (or Spacebar) and it'll  play the second song and stop till the end of the playlist.
    No need to select any songs or do anything fancy.
    -> Stop Track!
    "This script applet runs in the background while an iTunes playlist is playing. Whenever the accompanying "STOP_TRACK_05sec.mp3" track is encountered, the script will stop iTunes and advance to the next track, which you can start manually."

  • Getting java to wait for a process to end

    I have an application running Javac i need it to wait for this process to end before it does anything else.
    I have tried using theProc.waitFor() (the Process i have created), but this hangs my application. I know there is nothing wrong with the class paths and java itself. I have checked the process list and Javac is still in it. WHY?
    Can someone suggest anything.

  • Servlet waiting for threads to end

    Hi !
    To make our web app more efficient, we wanted to delegate some work to threads. But it seems that the servlet engine (or something else) is waiting for all spawned threads to end before sending the response back to the browser. So, if a servlet finishes execution but the threads it spawned are still working, I do not get the next page in the browser. I only do when all threads are done. So my question is : is this a normal behavior of the servlet engine ? If so, why ? If not, what could I have done wrong, what should I look out for when using threads inside servlets ?
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Yup I agree with the other guys.
    I am building a servlet that has 2 threads running continuously (looping), and they do not bother the requests/responses at all. But in your case if I understand correctly, you spawn threads from the request. You must have some kind of interaction between them.
    Are you sure you are spawning the code in a separate thread??. I use something like this:
    class Mythread extends Thread
    public void run()
    // code here
    THread threadobject = new Mythread();
    threadobject.start(); //( DO NOT CALL THE run() method, but the start() method.)
    Are your threads sleeping (to not hog up all CPU power???). Are your threads higher priority then the normal?.
    See ya,
    Andre

  • Waiting for the end of effect

    In my Flex application I have a function that plays animation hiding web content and when the animation reaches its end event listener fires another function that change web content and plays second animation which shows new web content. Here is the code:
    public function function1(contentId:String):void {
         contentHideAnimation.addEventListener(EffectEvent.EFFECT_END,function2);
         contentHideAnimation.play();
         contentId = id;
    private function function2(event:Event):void {
         var id:String = contentId;
         moduleLoader.unloadModule();
         if (id == "content1") { moduleLoader.loadModule("modules/content1.swf"); }
         else if (id == "content2") {moduleLoader.loadModule("modules/content2.swf"); }
         else if (id == "content2") { moduleLoader.loadModule("modules/content3.swf"); }
         contentShowAnimation.play();
    What I want to do is to put all the code from both functions in one function (I had to split it into two because move effects (show and hide animations) were played simultaneously).My question is: how can I wait for animation to finish and then play second animation in one function body?

    public function function1(contentId:String):void {
         contentHideAnimation.addEventListener(EffectEvent.EFFECT_END,function():void{
                   var id:String = contentId;
                   moduleLoader.unloadModule();
                   if (id == "content1") { moduleLoader.loadModule("modules/content1.swf"); }
                   else if (id == "content2") {moduleLoader.loadModule("modules/content2.swf"); }
                   else if (id == "content2") { moduleLoader.loadModule("modules/content3.swf"); }
                   contentShowAnimation.play();
         contentHideAnimation.play();
         contentId = id;
    }

  • Waiting for the end of the process

    I'm executing a command using the Runtime class and I have to wait until the end of the command to get the results. But, I don't want to sleep the thread for some undeterminated time. I'd like it just to wait until the command ends.
    See in this code:
    try
    String result="";
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("sh"); //open a new shell
    InputStream is = p.getInputStream();
    OutputStream os = p.getOutputStream();
    os.write("ifconfig -a | grep PROMISC -c\n".getBytes());
    os.flush();
    try {
    Thread.currentThread().sleep(1000);
    /*command should take some time to execute so wait for 10 secs .... I don't like this .... I would prefer waiting for the end the command ifconfig*/
    catch (InterruptedException eIE) { }
    while (is.available() > 0)
    result = result + ( (char) is.read());
    System.out.println(result);
    catch (IOException e) {
    System.out.println(e);

    AFAIK you can only detect if the shell process has finished, as sub-processes of the shell are not visible to your Java program (without resorting to OS-specific syscalls).
    You can write "exit" (or whatever terminates your shell) in the output stream as the last command - this will quit the shell as soon as all commands are finished, and that will be visible to your prog. Note that you should not run ANY of the shell commands in background then, as this could cause the shell to exit before the commands are finished (and, depending on the system, even signal the subprocesses).

  • Contract ending soon...wait for the iPhone 5?

    My contract ends on 6/4/11 and I'm thinking about waiting until the summer to see if there will be a Verizon iPhone 5 since I don't want to buy the iPhone 4 now and have it be obsolete within a few months.
    If the iPhone 5 does come out later on in June or July, my contract will already be over. I've heard that contracts continue on a month-by-month basis if you don't cancel it but I can't find any specific info on the site. Is that true?
    Suggestions?

    a couple of ways to look at this, of course this is amongst the dozens of threads already discussing this
    1. "IF" a new one comes out in june the iphone 4 is not obsolete, it is still a great, fast phone that will continue to get updates as Apple releases them
    2. Buy now, if a new one comes out in june, you can get like $400 or so on ebay and buy the new one
    3. there is most likely a new iphone coming for att in June,  NO ONE knows if it will be for Verizon also, so you may be waiting for absolutely nothing
    4. and the most obvious most given answer, If you keep waiting for the next best thing, you will never own anything
    My other phone, the droid inc is older then the iphone 4, A LOT of droid phone have been released after it and my Inc is still not even close to being obsolete, it runs fine.
    Maybe at this point I finally will say the iphone 3g, not 3gs, is almost obsolete because 4.2 killed it and it's terribly slow, that phone is almost 3 years old and its just becoming obsolete, I still sold it however for almost $200 on ebay so it still holds the value, I sold it for what i paid 2 years later

  • At the end of sync itunes hangs with message waiting for files to be transferred....iphone 4s?

    at the end of sync itunes hangs with message waiting for files to be transferred....iphone 4s?-
    and just sits there for an hour or more... sync is not finished, nothing happens... Any ideas?

    I called tech support and they had me schedule a time to walk through the problem with an apple engineer last night.
    They acknowledged that they've been getting calls about this issue but that's all they said.
    Make a long story short there was no solution. I ended up backing up all my info, contacts, notes ect. to the cloud and restoring the iPhone to the factory settings, then I synced back to the cloud but did not restore from a previous back-up just use as a new phone then manually check off the media pictures, music, movies ect.
    It's not the ideal way but it worked for me because I don't have a ton of stuff on the phone and I can even sync wirelessly now where's before I couldn't check that feature on in iTunes because it wouldn't sync.
    One thing since you can't restore from a previous back-up make sure to manually back up your camera roll or turn on photo stream to back up photos to the cloud.
    Hope this helps.
