Wait time from WIP to finished product

Dear PP experts,
I have a case need your help:
We're a construction company, we have a concrete factory.
Our product (called spun pile) is made from concrete and mixture.
In put: concrete + admixture
Out put: spun pile (WIP)
usually, it takes 7 days for a spun pile (WIP) becomes a finished product.
in other cases, we have to speed up the progress, so, we put the spun pile (WIP) into heat oven. It only takes 1 or 2 days for a spun pile (WIP) becomes finished product.
In total, we have production date, called A (date)
We have wait time, called T (days)
We have the date that we can sales finished product, call B (dates) = A + T
Can we manage it in SAP PP? We expect after T days, stock in finished product will be increased, automatically, instead of manually do the stock transfer in SAP MM module.
Please consult me on this. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Gent

Hi Toan,
Can you explain your business in this case? If you want to check available in SO, you need to setting waiting time in routing, if you need to receipt into stock, it impossible.

  • Waiting time between entry posting in R/3 and avail. in BW

    Dear SAP community,
    We have set up a process chain which gives us the freedom to load GL account into BW on an ad-hoc basis.
    Unfortunately it is not really ad-hoc after we have  posted an entry in GL account in R/3 we need to wait approximately 1 hour before we run process chain in order to see posted entry. If we run process chain immediatly after posting entry we woul not see the entry in BW.
    Does anyone knows if there is a waiting time from when we post an entry into SAP R3 to when we can run the process chain and see the posting in BW?
    Thanks  a lot for you help.
    Stefanie

    Hi Stefanie,
    What is the Datasource being used?
    For old GL extractors, like 0FI_GL_4, there is a safety interval upper limit of 1 day, meaning data posted till yesterday will be extracted if the chains run today. There are workarouds given by SAP to extract most recent data for these.
    For new GL extractors like 0FI_GL_10, there is a safety interval lower limit of 1 hour, meaning the most current data would be extracted and there would be an overlap of 1 hour between delta loads and some records are extracted twice.

  • Multiple finished product from one ram material

    Hi Everyone,
    I have a scenario like from one ram material there are multiple finished products are produced. For example,
    they are procured the nuts with the shell and its seperated from shell by performing an operation. At the time of operation the nuts may be brokern into small pieces. They have some specification so based on the classified the finished product. How can i map this scenario in sap.
    Thanks very much

    Look at by-product and/or coproduct funtionality.
    You can specify that certain byproducts can be produced.  These can be received as other FG materials or semi-finished good materials,

  • Any way of going back to io7 from io8, nothing works anymore. £500 plus worth of music apps not functioning anymore, is it really worth investing any more  time or money into this product? what a joke it is.

    Is there any way of going back to io7 from io8?
    Nothing works anymore. £500 plus worth of music apps and hardware not functioning, Apps that I have paid for disappearing from the store after a reset. is it really worth investing any more time or money into this product? what a joke it is becoming. This is worse than windows vista.
    Can anyone from Apple help me with this? thought not. You don't allow reverting back to earlier io versions for some strange reason. Have you forgot that we are the customer?

    Sorry, Apple does not support downgrading.
    As to apps disappearing, it's not uncommon for apps to be removed from the app store. I have a couple of games that I play that are no longer available.
    Did you install 8 'over the air'? If so, research into doing a restore. Use a computer to back up your device and then reinstall iOS8 via a computer, and then restore your data from the backup. Sometimes a clean install clears away glitches caused by over the air installs.
    If you just wish to express your frustration to apple, on the lower right corner of this page is a 'contact us' link. Send them feedback and let them know.

    If you use non-valuated sales order stock (account assignment E) there will ne no value posting at all during GR, thus also no accounting document. The full actual costs (that Pankaj listed) will be posted during settlement of the production order.

  • Manufacturing finished products from other finished product(co11n)

    Hiii all,
    Please can any body tell me how to avoid or block 261 movement type for some material..? we have some products which are manufactured with finished product then when we use CO11N to report the consumption: automatically that finished product used for manufacturing is s reported as if the raw material (261 mov)
    THANKS!!!

    Hello Abelo,
    First I would Like to understand in which country you / your client is. This is very important as in India there are Excise Tax Rules those ask you to submit the status of FG materials at the end of every month end. Now if you are consuming one FG material to produce another FG this is in general not applicable in Indian Scenario. (I am not aware about other countries).
    Now your requirement is "Not to consume 1 FG material while posting the production of another FG" (Correct me if I am wrong).
    In std. SAP this is possible as well as not possible.
    Possible:
    1.In the Bill of Material of FG2 (Header material for FG1), you can mark the component (FG1) as Engineering relevant and not Production and Costing Relevant. In this case, system will not propose the material for Back Flush.
    2. Mark Component (FG1) as Bulk Material in MRP2 view. System will not propose this material for Order Release as well as Backflushing (261 movement type).
    Not Possible:
    This is more of a discipline issue. If you are converting the One FG to another FG without consumption, How you are going to match the Stocks of Component. There will always be mis match in Physical and System Inventory. How you are going to address this? There will be Financial Impact of Inventory in this case.
    I suggest, please check the feasibility of stocks verification and then try solution given above.
    Please check and confirm whether you succeed or not.
    Rahul.

  • Jumbled clips after importing finished product from DV Camera

    I'm pretty new to imovie '08 - My problem is that I have a finished product I had copied back onto a DV tape a few years ago and now when I try to re-import it into iMovie '08 it brings it back in as clips - and worse the clips are reorganized (maybe by date?). If it brought it back in order that would not be a big deal, I at least could just select all the clips in order. But it had a sound track that was underlying a number of the clips.
    I would like to know a way to either: Import the final project into iMovie 08 without it automatically cutting it into clips, or import the clips in order.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
    If have exactly the same problem. It seems that all transitions are taken out of the original DV footage and shows up as a small thumbnail (1 - 3 sec). This makes it hardly impossible to restore the footage to its original sequence. Did you find a workaround to import an entire DV tape as one clip in imovie 08?

  • How to change Crystal Reports XI database name at run time from ASP code using ADO

    Dear All,
    I need advises regarding to my problem below
    I have two database in same SQL 2005 SERVER for TEST01 and LIVE01 Environtment, and I've created more than 100 reports with Crystal Reports 11 and call it from ASP classic page.
    The problem is how can I change a database from TEST01 to LIVE01 at the run time from ASP code as I already using TEST01 database on Crystal Reports and I do not want to set a new database location inside crystal for each reports
    Thanks and wait for your reply soon.
    Below is my code, which has no effect to crystal reports although I've change the database from TEST01 to LIVE01:
    <%
    Dim oADOConnection, oRptTable, oADORecordset, sql
    Dim struser, strpwd, strdriver, dblocation, dbname, strConnect
    struser = "sa"
    strpwd = ""
    strdriver = "{SQL SERVER}"
    dblocation = "SQL200501"
    dbname = "LIVE01"    ' Changed from TEST01 to LIVE01
    strConnect = "User Id=" & strUser & ";"
    strConnect = strConnect & "PWD=" & strPwd & ";"
    strConnect = strConnect & "DRIVER=" & StrDriver & ";"
    strConnect = strConnect & "SERVER=" & DBLocation & ";"
    strConnect = strConnect & "DATABASE=" & dbName
    sql="Select * from Employee"
    Set session("oApp") = Server.CreateObject("CrystalRuntime.Application.11")
    Set session("oRpt") = session("oApp").OpenReport("C:\REPORTS\RPT01.RPT", 1) 'USING TEST01 DATABASE
    session("oRpt").MorePrintEngineErrorMessages = False
    session("oRpt").EnableParameterPrompting = False
    session("oRpt").DiscardSavedData
    Set oADOConnection = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
    oADOConnection.Open (strConnect)
    Set oADORecordset = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
    Set oRptTable = session("oRpt").Database.Tables.Item(1)
    oRptTable.SetDataSource oADORecordset, 3
    session("oRpt").SQLQueryString = CStr(sql)
    session("oRpt").ReadRecords
    %>

    Did you ever find a solution to this problem?  I have the same problem when moving reports from development to Test to Production environments.  If the DBName is not the same the report ignores the name provided at runtime.

  • Coding with javascript in EDGE tutorials/samples from start to finish

    Hi
    I realize the forum is good sourc for javascript tips. But for us un-whiz kids that take advantage of all the gifts you geniuses at Adobe create, could there be a javascripting for Edge workshop? Coding from start to finish. If one does not know how to implement the code, that ONE is at a loss. I know that I could take EDge and fly with it visually but when it comes to the level of interactivity and animation, Istumble and come to an abrupt stop.
    Is the javascript workshop/tutorials a posibilty?
    Thanks so much,
    Angelique

    Hi Angelique!
    I am in something of the same boat as You. I have found this forum to be very informative & the knowledgeable folks here are very generous with their time... but the information is all over the place and lacks the collimated immediacy of a thorough (indexed!) manual. Ditto the very helpful Animate videos & tutorials on the Internet which, while valuable, are often time consumming to track down specific information.
    When learning a new discipline I do best with cogent printed manuals featuring a methodical presentation - which are also a snap to reference. Along these lines two books have caught my eye and I will be ordering... they might be of interest to You:
    Adobe Edge Animate: The Missing Manual by Chris Grover (O'Reilly Media) - Pages: 306
    Print: $24.99; e-Book: $19.99 (both for $27.49)
    http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920027553.do
    The Missing Manual series has always proved a provident guide for what ever program I was seeking to learn. This book looks like it follows suit. In the example on-line files I perused Chris struck me as an elegant scripter.
    Learning Adobe Edge Animate by Joseph Labrecque (Packt) - Pages: 368
    Print (eBook included in price) $44.99; eBook only $22.94
    http://www.packtpub.com/learning-to-create-engaging-motion-rich-interactivity-with-adobe-e dge/book
    Joseph pulls a few shifts on Adobe TV's Animate tutorials & is excerpted in the edge_animate_reference.pdf. I like how he writes (and~or has a great editor)... concise explanations.
    These books appear to offer info on a plethora of topics with valuable Javascript examples. Though no doubt there will be considerable overlap of subject matter I think these two books feature enough different material to make both worth purchasing.

    1. Why don't you purchase it from Apple? I'd be wary with eBay sellers - and, after all, Apple posts their stuff everywhere, even if you live in a country without a localized Apple store webpage or local (physical) Apple stores.
    2. when it comes to adapters / cables like these, NEVER purchase ANYTHING non-Apple-manufactured! Most of the cheap(er) knock-offs don't work! That is, don't try to save on going for a cheaper alternative - it most likely won't work.

    Locate the F11 key and start tapping it as soon as you turn on the system.
    Stop tapping once you reach the recovery manager screen.
    Click Troubleshoot .
    On the Troubleshoot screen, click Recovery Manager .
    On the OS selection screen, click Windows 8 . Recovery Manager opens.
    Under I need immediate help , click Minimized Image Recovery .
    When Recovery Manager prompts you to back up your files, select a backup option.
    If you have already backed up personal files or you do not want to back up personal files, select Recover without backing up your files , then click Next . Continue to the next step.
    Follow the on screen options and complete the system recovery.
    After the system recovery is complete, click Finish to restart the computer. Complete the setup screens and wait until the computer finishes the setup
    -Then, make sure to install all updates via Windows Update. Do NOT install any drivers for graphics etc.
    -I did NOT do any updates with HP Assistant
    -Run the update via Wired network, disable WiFi and Bluetooth
    -I did disable all things in Autostart. Could be reached via Win8 taskmanager
    -Ran Microsoft Compability checker
    Update went fine this time.
    Some of my steps might not be needed. And of course if MS compbility checker says a driver is not compatible you will have to update it.
    Hopefully it will get you there.

    My question is two fold... does anybody know where in OEM you can control the execution of this query? I would like to reduce the frequency it is run, or if that is not a good idea does anybody have any ideas from a tuning perspective?
    Ignite is reporting 1,440 executions, 621,776,455 buffer gets, and 2 hours of CPU wait time per day.
    Thanks in advance,
    Zack

    A typical question for this forum.
    We use Oracle, we can't remember which version, and we can't be bothered to post it.
    We don't know Oracle, so we use a third party product (Ignite from Confio) to perform redundant monitoring on our databases, which is already being performed by Oracle Enterprise Manager, for free.
    Instead of trying to use the products which come with Oracle, we would like to wreck functionality, by tampering with things like frequency, and/or even adjusting Oracle provided queries, consequently invalidating our support contract for Oracle.
    And, no, we are not aware, provided the database is doing nothing, queries like this one will automatically surface in the list of top <n> queries.
    I would suggest you start to learn Oracle and dump Ignite. It is of no use to monitor your database with two tools, and OEM is fully integrated in Oracle.

  • Sub-Millisecond Wait Time

    Hello,
    Currently I am using Labview to control my shutter system in an experimental set up. The shutter takes a TTL signal to open/close, so currently I have the programming set up to send a 5 V DC voltage to the shutter to open it after certain other routines have finished, then wait a user defined amount of time, then send a 0 V DC voltage to the shutter to close it. The steps involving the shutter are in a Stacked Sequence Structure. I wish to have .1 ms resolution for this wait time, (i.e. how long the shutter is open). I am new to Labview, but from what I have read it would seem that the best resolution possible is 1 ms with my current set up. Is there any way in which to get .1 ms?
    Thanks
    Jeff

    NI PCI-6221:
    16 bit Aout (x2)
    16 bit Ain (x16)
    24 DIO
    32 bit CTR (x2)
    Looks like it won't work with the "classic" drivers (which is what I know best).
    Unfortunately, when they simplified everything for the new MX drivers, it got more complicated.
    Look in the FUNCTIONS - NI MEASUREMENTS - DAQmx palette.
    You'll have to create a virtual channel and use the DAQmx Timing vi to configure it.
    I am not an expert on MX - I'd recommend looking at the examples:
    HARDWARE INPUT and OUTPUT - DAQmx - GENERATING DIGITAL PULSES -- GEN DIG PULSE.vi looks promising.

  • Wait time within a While Loop

    I was always under the impression that Wait Timers (e.g. Wait and Wait Ms Multiple) always executed last within a while loop. As I'm reading up on timing of real-time loops I'm finding that NI suggested using a stacked sequence structure to force timing to run last. Has my assumption of wait timer execution been wrong all this time or do PC and RT systems differ in how loops handle timing?
    Thanks,
    Craig

    So, ok, coming back on this.
    Attached you find a small example to show my remarks in the previous post.
    How to use it:
    The main focus is in the first iterations once "Wait now!" is pressed. So it is usually not of interest to run the "waiting" for more than 5-10 iterations.
    In order to see an "understandable" behavior, i suggest to wait at least 100ms. I configured "Time To Wait" to be at least 10 (coercing).
    The second focus is "Time Value".
    For "Wait (ms)", the "Time Value" will have any number, but increase each iteration by the amount of "Time To Wait".
    For "Wait Until Next Multiple (ms)", "Time Value" will be initialized to a value, which is a integer multiple of the "Time To Wait" and will increase each iteration to the next multiple.
    My example does not contain parallel code, so it does not show the parallelism of the waiting functions!
    Nevertheless, understanding the shown behavior is the key. Because if the code running in parallel to the waiting requires less execution time than the wait function will wait, the behavior will be exactly as shown.
    If the parallel code requires more execution time than the waiting, "Wait (ms)" is already finished and therefore the loop will immediatly continue with the next iteration (high CPU load!).
    If the parallel code requires more execution time than the waiting, "Wait Until Nexty Multiple (ms)" will wait that long that the "Time Value" is again in line to an integer multiple of the "Time To Wait" (so this one keeps on running in parallel until waiting time is calculated and over). Hence, "Wait Until Next Multiple" will still introduce a waiting time (reduced CPU load), but you will "miss complete iteration slots".
    As you can see, using a single "Wait Until Next Multiple" outside the loop for initialization can make sense if the first iteration should also have a "close to normal" execution time.
    Please note that the Timed Loop does something similar once started. As it does it during the iterations, the first 1-3 iteration(s) are called "warmup iterations". Most often, the first single iteration is sufficient for this though....
