Waiting For Bridge CS6 when selecting MiniBridge in Photoshop (win)
Mini-Bridge does not load any files. (Windows 7)
All I get is the dreaded "Waiting for Bridge CS6..." message where the image thumbnails should be.
Yes, yes... I did open Bridge CS6 manually and it works fine.

Minibridge Error - Waiting for Bridge CS6
Hi,
Is there a permanant fix for Minibridge not working in PS CS6? I now continually get the message 'Waiting for Bridge CS6...". I am able run full Bridge, and I still get the same message whether full Bridge is running or not.
I had this problem recently and found a fix involving deleteing the Switchboard folder which worked for a while but the error has returned and repeating the fix no longer works.

Brett is good and has been helpful to me, but Adobe is clueless as to what is causing this problem. I have been working with them on this problem since November and it has not been resolved. The last message I had was the following email from Brett.

bottom of this issue. Good news, bad news of it is they are too busy to
help us directly because they are working on an update. For now, keep an
out for this update and we¹ll see if it resolves the issue. We don¹t have
a release date yet, so I can¹t say when exactly we¹ll see this. For now,
I¹m going to close the case (#185096122), but we can revisit and reopen it
once the update is complete or we can get our engineers to help us out
directly.

Launched bridge, then all it says is waiting for Bridge CS6
trying to view my pictures on my computer
in CS6 and I lauched Bridge and now all it says is "waiting for Bridge CS6"
I have been using Lightroom 4 so I am not a complete idiot, just new to PS CS6. Any help is appreciated.In Photoshop, are you launching 'Bridge' or 'MiniBridge'? Usually the error message 'Waiting for Bridge' comes when you try to open MiniBridge in Photoshop.
The first thing you can try is to purge preferences & cache in Bridge.
On Mac, hold down the Command (apple), Option and Shift keys as you startup Bridge. You will get a dialog box asking if you want to reset preferences.
On Windows, Control Shift Alt and follow the instructions in dialog box.
Let us know if that fixes your issue. If not, don't panic - there's other solutions! -
"Photoshop" Waiting for Bridge CS6... on a MAC BOOK PRO help
I have a Mac book Pro, with retina display running on OS X version 10.9.4. and I cannot get mini-bridge to run. Adobe first told me the problem was with Apple, I contacted Apple and the problem was not with them. Adobe told me the problem was with my service provider and passwords and firewalls on my internet connection, check with Rogers and no problems. Now I am told by Adobe this problem is with switchboard (Adobe owns this).
I have tried everything on the FAQ page to fix the problem and I have also spent days on the phone with Adobe. They have had me uninstall and reinstall all of my Adobe programs numerous times and I have spent hours at a time on the phone trying all kinds of “fixes”. Adobe has told me on three separate occasions they have escalated this problem to the highest level of technical support and I still have no resolution. We (Adobe and I) have been at this for well over a month now and It’s gotten so, now Adobe doesn't even call me back anymore.
The reason I so need this fixed is, as I explained to Adobe, I am in night school (now) for Photoshop and I require mini-bridge in class. I am hoping that someone else out there has had this problem and knows what the fix is because I have no options open to me this time. When Photoshop is launched and I clicked on mini-bridge all I see is waiting for Bridge CS6… Nothing more happens, Photoshop is version 13.0.6 X64. I have stayed home the past few times Adobe has said they would call and nobody has called, it's getting costly at work.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated and thank you.

I did try everything on the FAQ page (all steps) I also did them a few more times with "Adobe help" walking me through 2 more times. I just don't get it, I have been on with Adobe on some days up to 5 hours at a time for over a month now. I think it must be something with the installation disc but they say no, no, switchboard is just not working on my OS X 10.9.4. I even took the computer into the apple store here and had them look it over, reinstall everything and they say it's the Adobe software.
Thank you very much for your help, it's nice to know someone is reading this :-) I do work around this by saving the files and reopening them in the next program I need but everyone in class is always waiting on me, (it sucks) and I just think it should work. Hope you have a good day and I will put an update on here if this is ever figured out.

The AppleID is free, what it wants is a credit card on file to use for purchases you make in the future from the App Store and from the iTunes store. You don't get charged until you make purchases.

I am running on a Core i7 iMac with 20GB or RAM and have already done the two applicable steps in the main Adobe help area relating to Switchboard (Error: Waiting for Bridge | Mini Bridge panel) to no avail. Any ideas?
Have you tried to start the bridge CS6 then open Photoshop CS6 try to use the mini bridge.
I have a problem on windows too. Sometimes when I open CS6 version 13.1.2 and try to use the mini bridge Its panels has a message Bridge must be running and there is a launch bridge button. When I use that button Bridge gets launched but may hangs before displaying its application window or anything in the mini bridge panel. I can terminate the bridge when this happens with windows task manager and start the bridge. After doing that the mini bridge launch button became a reconnect button using it mini bridge then work.
I can also start Bridge CS6 before Photoshop CS6 and mini bridge works as soon as Photoshop is up and running. -
Can't get past "Waiting for Bridge CC" in MiniBridge/Photoshop cc
I subscript to Photoshop CC and have been using it successfully. However, I tried starting the program without a connection to the Internet, and I believe it may have loaded a trial version.
The problem I amhaving is the MiniBridge doesn't connect with Bridge CC even theough Bride CC is launched.
I followed the online advice to delete the SwithBoard folder, retarte the computer and then restart Photoshop. The SwitchBoard folder was reegenerated, but I'm still getting the same message: Waiting for Bridge CC.http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/error-waiting-for-bridge-cs5.html
Please check that you have completed all steps and in order.

I'm working on a project in which I have to name several pictures, and I just drag them into a template in PSD and change the name, could the amount of images I'm working have something to the with the quitting?

In Bridge CS6 when I view a jpg thumbnail color loss
In Bridge CS6 when I view jpgs as a thumbnail and also when selected to single viewing, the colors wash out. They do not in raw or psd versions of the same photo. They look fine in windows picture viewer and I saved them to my website and they were fine, bridge is the only place they look washed out. How do I fix that?
That means that those JPEGs are untagged, meaning they do not have an embedded color profile. In the case of untagged files, Bridge assumes the image was created in the sRGB color space. Obviously, your files must have been created in a different color space but Bridge can't tell which color space that was because you stripped the profile when saving the JPEGs.

Mini Bridge "Waiting for Bridge" error Macintosh
We'd been having this error on a couple of our computers and none of the steps in the KB article http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/error-waiting-for-bridge-cs5.html are working.
We initally set up one computer to be used as our master image. Once we had things working the way we wanted on this computer we cloned the drive using Carbon Copy Cloner and distributed the master image to 3 other computers for testing. Mini Bridge was working fine on the master image. Once we cloned the master we changed the name of the default user account to our intended user's name following Apple's directions for changing user account names. Mini Bridge did not work on any of the user accounts on the cloned computers even those accounts whose names did not change. I even tried creating a new test account and it still does not work.
I've been doing some experimenting removing various Adobe related files and then trying to use the Mini Bridge until I figured out what worked. What I found was I could go to Library/Application Support/Adobe, and using Get Info, make the default user the owner of the Adobe folder. (They already had read/write permissions.) After that they are able to use the Mini Bridge. However, none of my other user accounts can work with the Mini Bridge since they are not owners of the Adobe folder. It seems that Mini Bridge is only able to function if the current user is also the owner of the Adobe folder?
I looked at the permissions on the master for the Adobe folder and it said it was owned by root and belonged to the admin group. On the cloned images it states that it is owned by the default user and belongs to the staff group. I tried using Terminal and changed the owner and group to root and admin as it was on the master, but that didn't make any difference. It will still only work if the default user is actually made the owner of the folder.
We will be cloning several more computers this way and I'd like to figure out why this is not working and see if there is a way to make it work for all users of the computer. I am sure something is happening with permissions on the Adobe folder when the user account is renamed on the clone, however I also did a group of 4 laptops this same way and those cloned computers all work fine under all user accounts.Omke,

We've been using Bridge for quite a while but the Mini Bridge is new to us as we are just now updating to CS5. I did notice a bit of lag time with Mini Bridge and sometimes it didn't want to display the items on networked drives, but if I hit the backward and forward arrows it would work, so maybe just a screen redraw issue or something there, but other than that it seems to be working ok over our network for now.
Your tip about having only one copy of Bridge open at a time was the key. We have been able to open the same program on multiple user accounts simultaneously before, but I can't say that we have with Bridge. I didn't notice it at first but when you choose Mini Bridge in InDesign it is actually opening the full Bridge in the background though it doesn't open the Bridge window, but looking at my Dock I see where it has been launched. When I would switch to another user account to test the Mini Bridge I wasn't closing out of Bridge in the first account, since I didn't realize it was open, so I'm assuming since it was still open there it could not launch it under the second user. Once I closed out of Bridge on the first account it worked fine on the second.
So think we have it resolved now.
Thanks so much for the tip! This has been driving me crazy for a day and a half. Now I can get on with my other computer set-ups.
By the way, we are ok on the number of CS copies floating around, we have a volume license. :-) -
PS6 hangs with a message waiting for Bridge
I recently moved to a 64-bit machine. Initially after installing PS6 things worked fine. This morning when I opened it, it hung with a message about waiting for Bridge.
