Waiting for Review taking an excessive amount of time.

Hey guys,
Just a quick question: I recently went through the whole iOS submission and review process, got my initial review, made a fix, got a response within 24 hours, made that fix and resubmitted. It now has been 9 days since that submission, and the app is still waiting for review. Has anyone else experienced this at all? Is there any way to expediate the review process? Or is it possible that though the app is marked as waiting for review, but there is something missing that it actually needs in order to be waiting for review?
Thanks in advance.

Apple just released iOS 8, and 8.0.1, and 8.0.2, and the bash fixes, and Yosemite is next. There are lots of developers submitting new apps right now for all these new operating systems.

  • Application still in "Waiting For Review" status

    All,
Although I've submitted my application to Apple (nearly a week ago), it's still under "Waiting for Review" status. How long does this process take to change the current status? In addition, will I know whether or not my application will be approved? I mean, I'm kind of concerned about my application approval...
    Thanks in advance.

  • Itunes connect "waiting for review" by me or by Apple?

Hi I have uploaded a new version of my app since a week ago, and when I checked the status history, the status for "Waiting For Review" has my email as the user, but when I checked the tutorials, it should be Apple who is the user. May I know if this means the app is not going to be reviewed by Apple?

Hi etresoft, you are right that patience is a virtue.. just that I don't know if I am doing something wrong here so need some advice.
Here's a screenshot of my status. Under "Waiting For Review", the user is my email.
But in the tutorials, the user for "Waiting For Review" should be Apple.
So I am wondering if something is wrong here, because when I click the "Submit for Review" button, it automatically uses my email as the user, but how is it that in the tutorials it's supposed to be Apple?

  • I was hit with Application Uploader error messages, but Apple still confirmed that the app is waiting for review...

Hello, I'm new to this FYI. I recently (tonight) submitted my app using the application uploader. It seemed to go through just fine, but after it was done I was hit with a bunch of error messages from the application uploader. However, I nevertheless recieved a confirmation from Apple saying my app was waiting for review...so does this confirmation mean that the upload was actually successfull? Or do I need to delete the binary and re-submit?

Status is also "waiting for review" along with a yellow circle. the binary details all look ok including the .zip file i uploaded. now that i think about it, maybe the error messages were in response to my second upload. because i thought the first one failed, but now I see the .zip is the proper name.

  • My iOS Distribution certificate was revoked while my app is waiting for review.

I submitted my first app for review on 4/17/2014 - about a week ago.  I just received an email from Apple (portion pasted below):
Your iOS Distribution certificate has been revoked.
You have revoked your certificate, so it is no longer valid.
    Certificate: iOS Distribution
Any provisioning profiles that include this certificate are no longer valid and must be regenerated for future use.
In iTunes Connect, my app is still listed as "Waiting for Review" - since my iOS Distribution certificate was revoked, will this affect the submission process?
In the Developer Portal I still have a development and distribution certificate (names iOS Development and iOS Distribution) under iOS certificates. I believe I may have accidently created multiple distribution certificates since I was a little confused about the submission process (and ended up deleting one of them). I have only one Distribution Provisioning Profile that is listed as Invalid. Should I go ahead and make a new distribution provisioning profile? Will this affect the submission process? Sorry if these seem like trivial questions, but i'm still new to the app submission process.

Status is also "waiting for review" along with a yellow circle. the binary details all look ok including the .zip file i uploaded. now that i think about it, maybe the error messages were in response to my second upload. because i thought the first one failed, but now I see the .zip is the proper name.

    Hello Nicke,
    Thank you for your response.
I have enabled the Analyctic and Debug log for the Management and Publishing server and let it run for 30min.
The debug log only shows 1 error when I used iisreset telling me the management server is unavailable (which it indeed was for a brief second). Otherwise it is completely empty.
The analyctic log show the following when I refresh my packages on the client (but don't see any errors in it).
    Handle refresh request
    Get entitled package list
    Get user group list
    Get user group list
    Get entitled package list
    Write package list to XML
    Write package list to XML
    Handle refresh request
Especially the write package list to XML looks interesting, but in the details I don't see anything special/wrong:
The analytic log for the management server only shows Get Publishing Metadata every 5 seconds (The time which the xml files should be refreshed).

  • How long will my app be "Waiting for review" state

I posted my app on October 12th and it is still waiting for review, is this normal? How long will it take?

No. I looked it up, and I'm not connected to icloud, and I haven't sync'd up on the computer since I've had the information on my phone.
I have my E-mail, and password of the account thats linked to my iphone.(Like when you buy Apps from the store)
But I haven't found any info with that being useful.
I don't understand what happened ethier. I've had the same passcode for months, and I don't think I've randomly forgotten it. Ethier there is a major bug, or I have really bad memory.

  • "Add Version" button invisible during "Waiting for review"

    iTunes connect.
How to add new version, for example 1.5, while 1.4 in waiting for review?

Ran into this myself on a new MacMini Server. I renamed the ServerVersion.plist file in /System/Library/CoreServices/. That allowed the install to start. Unfortunately it seems the installer is setup to install that at the same time. I renamed the file back before the restart and it complained on restart that the server install wasn't found.
So I thought I would try downloading it on another computer with Lion. That didn't work either. As soon as it finished download it installed and deleted the installer.
    What a pain.
If you can start from scratch, you should be able to rename the file, do the Lion install then after the Lion install rename it back. Then do the server install. I'm not sure what that will do to existing server configs though. There must be some reason Apple set up the Lion installer this way.
Oh, now I can't reboot into my existing OS. It keeps rebooting into the installer. Tried the option key and both options are named something like base os. Neither boots my existing Snow Leopard. Gonna have to get an external DVD drive and install from scratch I think. Luckily this is a new server not in production, so not a big deal. I hope people with production machines read the boards and tread carefully.

  • 1 month still Waiting for review, what shall I do?

It's still "Waiting for review", almost 1 month after I submited app to mac app store.
What's the matter? What shall I do now? Is there any ways to push?
    Thanks a lot.

According to this, the avergae wait time is about a month for the Mac App Store: http://reviewtimes.shinydevelopment.com/
I would say, you just need to be patient... I too am waiting (for an iOS app though).

  • 'Personal Web Sharing' is taking an indefinite amount of time to start

Hi, for some reason, 'Personal Web Sharing' is taking an indefinite amount of time to startup. This started happening after I installed PHP 5. Any idea on how I can fix this/debug this?

What do you mean by indefinite exactly?
Have you repaired permissions since installing PHP5?
Indefinite, as it forever stays as 'Web Sharing starting up...'. Yes, I have repaired perms.

  • Taking an Impossible Amount of time to Render a video

    Greetings,
I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 for Video editing and it is taking a very very very very long time to render. *about 15 Hours for an Hour and Twenty minuet video. It is exporting to H.264 MP4. HD 1080P
I have 12 Gig of Ram and I'm using AMD Athlon II 4x 640 in An HP Pavilion P6727 Desktop Computer.
What is taking so long? If I was to boost my memory up to 16 Gig Ram would it make that big of a difference?
    Thanks! -Cheers-

The amount of time it takes to render your video depends on how fast your processor is, how much RAM you have, what operating system you're using, what model of camcorder your video is coming from and what resolution and format it is. If you are using photos in your project, your rendering time can also increase and the program may freeze if your photos are larger than 1000x750 pixels in size.
What model of camcorder is your video coming from, etc?
Are you talking about just rendering your timeline for smooth playback or are you talking about rendering to output a finished video?

  • M505.6PD Wait for Axes to stop: Accuracy and poll time question

I have written a program in Labview to contorl an M505.6 PD linear stage.  After moving the stage, I notice that for a very small amount of time, the stage seems to be "settling" into the target position.  This settling occurs even after I have received a "true" value to the query  "stopped?".
Increasing the Polling Cycle Time lowers the amount of "settling" that occurs after receiving a value of "true".
My question is, is there any place I can find more information about this settling that occurs or perhaps someone has encountered this before and has concluded the minimum polling cycle time required to prevent settling given some sort of parameter.
Please let me know if there is any more information I can give that would help.

    Hello riraheta,
It would be helpful if you could provide a link to product page for the motor on the manufacturer’s website. It would also be helpful if you could find and post the datasheet and/or user manual here for everybody’s reference.
You say you have observed this settling behavior, which sounds like a physical phenomenon. It is probably best for you to also contact the motor manufacturer. They will be more familiar with the internal design of the motor and its expected performance behavior, so they might be able to explain this settling behavior.
Otherwise what functions are you using? Are you using functions provided by the motors manufacturer? Some companies provide LabVIEW function libraries with VIs they have written specifically for their hardware. Or are you using the NI-Motion driver?
