Waiting list for Apple Store for iPad
Hi All,
I put my name on the preferred waiting list for the iPad at my local apple store (Mass) on July 11th. The first time I talked to someone, he said it would take 2 weeks. The next time I talked to someone they said it would take a couple of days. Then I talked to someone else and he said "it could take a couple of days or a couple of months, we don't know".
This seems very strange to me because you would think that corporate or some subsidiary would notify the retail store of an upcoming shipment of an extremely popular product. I work in marketing and sales, and I know that when i have a large shipment for a customer, we notify them when their product is coming.
So my question is what is with the lack of information?
Anyone else that has been on the preferred waiting list: what was your experience like? How long did you have to wait? (FYI: it is a 16 GB WiFi only model).

You should just order it online. I think that supply is tight for the device everywhere.
Apple does things differently. You might be on a list, but it could have 200 names on it. They'd call you if it was available for you (more likely they'd email).
Really, if you had ordered online, you'd have it by now.

I have not yet seen any official response to the question: "Is the Apple AV Composite cable fully supported with 30pin connector devices upgraded with iOS7 - specifically ? - eg. iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s"
If it is not currently supported is that then due to a bug / oversight and in that case is it something that will be fixed in the near future?

You can't officially buy an Apple product as far as Apple is concerned, in the Ukraine if Apple says that there are no Apple Authorized venders in the Ukraine.
Here (in Ukraine) are official Apple's service centers, as like as in Belarus and Russia.
According to Apple there are no Apple Authorized Serve Providers in the Ukraine.

And why should I care about those kinda "support lists"?
Because those lists are the official Apple statement of the state of affairs in your country. If you country is not on the list then Apple has no legal or official obligation to you or any products that you have managed to buy in the Ukraine.

Yes, if you get the product to a country with officially and legally Apple Authorized Service providers. There are none in the Ukraine. -

Why can I not download apple store for iPads onto a uk ipad
I am currently on holiday in USA, and noticed there is a app for the apple store for iPads. When I try and download it, nothing happens.
Your assistance would be appreciated.You can't willy nilly download apps from the store for another country.
To use a specific country's App Store you must be a legal resident of that country, provide a abnk card issued by a bank in that country, that has a verifiable billing address in that country. -
If I remove itunes and its drivers from my computer, as recommended by someone at the Apple store for a problem I'm having, I know my music will come back, but will my playlists still be there as they are now? I forgot to ask.

Hi guys, finally I made it to the apple family by buying an Air from a guy I knew... But I cannot change the ID in the apple store for updates... I managed to change it in Itunes, but when I want to download the updates it would tell me that I should log in with the other account...

The only secure way to use a second hand Mac is to erase the HDD and install a fresh version of OS X.
The only version of OS X that the original owner can pass to you is the version of OS X that came preinstalled on the Mac. The original owner cannot legally pass to you any apps that he bought in the MAS. -

Can I take my new MacBook Pro retina to an apple store for them to transfer files from my PC? I am migrating from window 7. I was planning on doing myself but it looks like you need two thunderbolt to Ethernet adapters and two Ethernet cables? What is the best way to transfer? What you can transfer to your Mac depends on the files.
Photo files (.jpg .tiff etc) fine
Music files - some may need conversion software to be used in iTunes (unless you had iTunes on your PC) but free converters are there
Video files - ditto, some will work in iMovie, others may need converting to work
Text - Pages will read .doc and .docx files. Most Word processing files/spreadsheet files/presentation files can be read in iWork but if not, can use Open Office or Libre Office (both free downloads)
Windows programs (eg those with a .exe suffix) won't work on a Mac without installing Windows (e.g. via BootCamp). -

I see in the online documentation that it says you can choose "None" for billing option and register for apple store with a credit card but when i try to do this on the iphone 5 i was recently given, "none" is not an option and i cannot proceed without entering a credit card.
i don't have a credit card and would love to use this phone with free apps. Let me know if there are any workarounds.
thanks!Read the steps in the support article from which you came carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
If you are certain you're following the steps exactly as given and are creating a new Apple ID and still have problems, go here:

My Iphone 4 switches off automatically with 60% battery balance and doesnt start, also when i connect it to my laptop it starts back and shows the battery balance and it stay on for another few hours even without recharging.
