As many downloads now come with a PDF booklet as well as cover art, an option in the Walkman app to display the album PDF (launch in another app ?) would be great.
Will Walkman ever playback Apple lossless .m4a or is this commercially sensitive? I read that Apple may be porting iTunes to Android so that’s maybe food for thought.
If .m4a will never be supported, a reliable and accurate GUI based conversion tool (to FLAC and other formats) that runs on PC and Mac would be great. There is a lot of badly written freeware around for this ! Although I will continue to use a Mac, I will do anything to get away from iTunes (I am not alone !).
I can see a kind of Coverflow feature but it needs to be smoother and faster so you can browse and select this way !
Problems
When I copy my own files to the Walkman, albums with multiple discs in separate folders appear in correct order until disc 10, which then comes out above disc 1 !
An album download from a High Res site had one empty file, which they later supplied and I put in the same folder as the rest. The Walkman app creates a new album folder for the single track, and puts a ‘:’ after the title. Tags are all correct, (including track numbering) and the only differences for this single file are the creation and modification dates.

I doubt that Android will support ALAC, why? well I'm certain that you know how much apple loves android
You can convert your ALAC into FLAC or 320kbps mp3

Apps Wish List

Can we have something like what's on the Archos Forum (NOT Oxford educated you know) where users can submit a wish list and specs for apps ?
This way apps writers could address specific wants, rather than write an app then find a market for it
Admittedly, posters would be giving their ideas for nothing, but then again if they were able to write their own app they wouldn't subscribe to this wish list anyway.
Perhaps this wish list could be subdivided into catagories as per the Apps store.
To start the ball rolling, how about an app that allows the iPhone/iPod Touch to function as a USB stick, as per my Nano. I know there are apps/pc programmes that allow some functionality, but just to be able to use my iphone 3GS as a simple USB stick, like my Nano, would be a boon (1st Boon of the night ?)

Walkman app - shuffle list?

Z1 phone - Walkman app - enter palylist and press on a song, all ok song starts playing. I select shuffle and it does not appear to work. At the end of the song it does not carry on to any other selection. How do I get this to work please?

Yep, I am having the same issue with the walkman player on my Xperia Z1. The Walkman app is the latest version, but it simply will not shuffle songs. I have have some songs on the phone memory and a micro SD chip, and no matter what I do, it just repeats the current song. It will show the songs that it should be playing next, but it won't play them. Nothing wrong with the micro SD chip either. I can take it out, put in another device, and the songs suffle perfectly well. Can anyone out there provide some ideas about how to fix?

Where are my Wish List and Favorites on Apple TV?

I just bought an Apple TV and have been adding movies to my WIsh List and tv shows to my Favorites. Now I would like to watch some of those things, but have no idea where to find these lists that I've created. I've searched these forums and see references made to some update that caused these things to disappear and reappear, but they don't mention where they've disappeared from. Please help. Thanks.

One song at a time. Open the Wish List, and click on the price for the song.

There used to a 'buy all' button on the wish list screen but for some reason that has been removed from the current version of iTunes, you can only buy items individually by clicking on their prices (not the downward pointing arrow next to the price).

App Wish List

Is there a way to view my Wish List, specifically for Apps, on my iPad or iPhone? I can't view it in the App Store app or the iTunes app on either device. Would think it would be a good idea.

Wish lists for developers would be different. Since they are outside companies that develop the apps, I would think you might be able to choose one of the others ones that supply the performance information and let them know what you are thinking.

App wish list - black box recorder

This might have to wait for the multitasking OS 4.0 but it would be very useful to set my iPhone up on the dash of the car and record video (in say a 1 minute loop) along with GPS co-ordinates and accelerometer readings for the entire trip. The video clip would be saved by either the user pressing a button or a preset acceleration level being exceeded.
In other words, a portable black box recorder for the car. There would need to be a Mac application to process and analyse the data from the iPhone.
There are car performance apps for the iPhone that record acceleration and braking but this goes further - recording video and GPS.
BTW - I have not come across an Apple discussion page/section that is a wish-list for apps. There is so much great work being done on App development but it seems there is very little opportunity for iPhone users to say what functions they would like.

ITunes iPhone app - wish list?

I buy quite a lot music through iTunes store, and when I browse new music I use the "Wish list" function as a purchase basket. This function however, is not available from the iPhone iTunes app.
Am I the only one who need this function?

You're not alone... I've tried everything to get my wish list over to my iphone with no success... if you find a convenient way please let me know...

Why Can't I Delete Itmes from my wish list (and other complaints)

im having many issues with the wish list. since i had many songs, and it cuts off after a certain amount, it breaks it into pages. i wouldn't mind this if it didnt also make it impossible to navigate. if i set it to list in aplphabetical order, it only does so for THAT page, not the total list. is there an option to put them all on one list?
also, i cant delete anything from the list after the first page. it seems to be cut off the page and no x appears. what do i do?

Having similar problems. The new Wish List is in my opinion a total failure. Is anyone out there at Apple reading this??? It's really unprofessional and un-Apple to put up revised software without de-bugging. [Whoever designed the new Wish List appears to be designed for only a few items in there, like a CART. This is not the case with a Wish List. I have HUNDREDS of items in my old Wish List, as I suspect many others do too, and we need to be able to navigate like a playlist.)
1. Can ONLY DELETE items on PAGE 1, and ONLY if sorted by date-added; this is ridiculous. I literally cannot remove anything beyond page 1.
2. can't do SEARCHES; this makes a "wish list" only marginally useful
3. SORT only works 1 page at a time; we need to sort the whole list (like a playlist)so that you can see ALL songs or ALL albums by ___[whoever] together
4. can only SEE 1 page at a time; we need to see the whole list (list a playlist) same as #3 above
5. after you DELETE one item, you end up in another section and have to come BACK to the Wish List to delete anything further.
6. The other features on playlists are not there: year, genre, rating, etc. It's just not functional without this.
7. If you're going to put up something that doesn't work, or doesn't provide the same functionality, at least keep the old Wish List (playlist) active, so we can drag songs into it.
Would love to get some answers and some quick fixes from APPLE, as well as input from other users. I have thousands of songs in iTunes and the Wish List is a major feature for me. Thanks.

Viewing wish list and password needed more often

I have noticed that viewing wish list in itunes asks for passwords more often. Two other users in my household have noticed that on their accounts as well.
Is this a change to the way iTunes store works?
