Walkman needs a sleep timer and a lock screen widget

I really would recommend a sleep timer and a lock screen widget.

The timer has been requested before. As for the lock screen widget it is there whenever you play music.

Ever since the systyem upgraded me to 3.6.6. I can not even run one eight hour day without firefoc either crashing or locking up which requires me use C/A/Deleate to close the program. I used to be able to run 8 to 12 windows at a time and NEVER lock up or crash with the older version. Is this problem being looked into and or being corrected. I use Firefox with Google and my system is XP Pro 32 bit. THIS IS REALLY making me MAD. My email is [email protected] and would appreciate a response to this ASAP. I have tried a couple of items from your help section and nothing works.

  • My Ipod is stuck on a white screen with the wrong time and a lock. computer doesn't recognized my Ipod..also gets hot when connected to charge..any ideas on how to fix this? Thank You

    Hi
My Ipod nana...has frozen up and working. It shows a white screen with the wrong time and a lock symbol. When I connected it to my computer, it didn't show up. Back of Ipod gets really warm..Any ideas on how to fix it? Than You

If it happens again and the reset (home + power buttons) doesn't work, just let the battery drain; you'll know when the screen shuts off. Charge it back up and it should be fine. Frankly, I'm surprised this worked for you. Usually I hear people with this problem say that holding both buttons doesn't work, and they have to do the battery drain.
If the issue is incurable next time, you have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.

  • Radio lock screen widget

    Hello,
is there a possibility Sony will create lock screen widget for Radio like it is for Walkman?
I mean when I am listening to the radio it would be nice to see the widget on a lock screen and switch the stations.
Also it would be nice to increase the signal as there are a lot of noises when listening to it especially when you are traveling
    Please let me know.
    Thank you.

I heard many people are using Tune In,you might try it and it could have a lock screen widget.

  • Sleep Timer and ....

So where is the sleep timer? It used to be under Extra/Clock on 2nd gen.
Is there a way to set audiobooks to play one file at a time?
Listening late at night, I often fall asleep in which case I neither need nor want the iPod to continue playing the whole book. I do not enjoy having someone talking in my ears through sleeping, nor having to figure out where I left off after I wake up.
On the other hand, if I am still awake at the end of the file, hitting the right side of the scroll wheel easily and quickly advances me to the next file. And conserves battery life.
I do not see any provision for this.
A preference setting to play one song (or file) at a time.

    when you say:
    It's under Extras\Alarms.
Is this the same sleep timer (same window appearance & choices as nano 2nd) as before, set a time such as 15 min or 30 min as a one time Sleep Timer? Still not quickly or easily accessed (for the half asleep person).
Or does Nano 3rd now offer more such as the ability to have the timer automatically re-set? Thus always playing only 30 min at a time for example until timer is shut off.
Or the ability to set a sleep timer preference and simply click once to activate or more importantly reactivate it again?
    thanks

  • Clarification needed between NET TIME and W32TIME please.

I have been struggling with the difference between NET TIME and W32TIME. I found the following excellent blog:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/w32time/archive/2009/08/07/net-time-and-w32time.aspx
I do, however, need some clarification that I'm hoping you guys can help with.  Any following conversation assumes a single domain with workstations.
Based on previous knowledge, I always assumed that when running NET TIME on a workstation, it was actually showing which computer on the network this workstation was syncing to.  However, it appears that it is actually just looking for the nearest domain
controller (if possible).  Is that correct?  If so, then NET TIME has no bearing on what the time is set to on the workstation, correct?
With that asked, I suppose I need to focus on W32TIME to configure time on workstations.  I typically prefer to point it to the NTP pool available as it has been reliable for me in the past.  If I need to focus on W32TIME, is it a preferred method
in domains to configure each and every workstation to point to a NTP internet source via GPO?  Alternatively, is there a way to use W32TIME to point to a server to get its time?  For example, point a domain server to an internet NTP source, then
configure all workstations to point to that server.  If that's possible, is it as simple as specifying the FQDN of the time server in my environment during W32TIME setup instead of an internet NTP server?
Thank you for any clarification, I'm hoping to clear up any confusion I have about time to never have to question it again.  I assist in managing many domains and this information will come in very handy.

    Hello,
As far as i know net time functions correctly with windows equivalent to win XP.
I will recommend you to configure your domain members to synchronize with the DC's and those DC's the PDC which normally hold this role synchronize with the internet. This is for normal domain hierarchy(Nt5DS).
Some commands to be run to get information:w32tm /query /source or w32tm /query /configuration from the cmd line
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773263(v=ws.10).aspx
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816042
    Configuration of PDC:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc786897(v=ws.10).aspx
    Domain members configuration:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc758905(v=ws.10).aspx
But all these configurations can be made from the group policy.
    Hope it helps

  • One touch reset sleep timer and "off screen" podcasts app

anyone know how to suggest the following to apple?
In the podcasts app its such a pain to reset the sleep timer. If I awaken at night and I want to continue listening to my podcasts until I fall asleep there are five things I have to do:
    1) look at the screen
    2) select the sleep timer function
    3) try to find the selection which set the length of time I want to "time out" playback
    4 press done
    5) press play
    * additionally the screen remains on and does not turn off even if the iphone is flipped over.(proximity sensor should turn off the screen)
There has only been one app that has supported "blind one touch restart" of the sleep timer (just find the phone and touch anywhere on the screen)  and also turn off the screen while iphone is turned onto its face (to save battery and keep room dark) and this app is no longer updated to work with the podcasts app.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/audiobook-podcast-player/id356817627?mt=8
can anyone pass this on to apple or suggest another app that has this functionality?
    thanks

    Have you tried:
    - drying by:
    http://www.ehow.com/how5356376fix-wet-ipod-iphone.html
    - After it is dry try restoring it via iTunes, first from backup and if still problems then to factory default/new iPod.
