Wall Charger for ipad

I recently purchased an ipod mini. Can I use the same wall charger I use for my ipod touch or will that not work.

See link below about iPhone, iPod, Using the iPad Charger
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • Where can I buy a wall charger for a third generation iPod Touch?

Does anyone know where I can buy a wall charger for a third generation iPod Touch?  I am giving this iPod to my father because I want to buy myself a fifth generation iPod Touch for my birthday.  Could I just get an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 or 4S wall charger and use that?  I used my brother's iPhone 3GS wall charger, when I was visiting him out of state, and it worked just fine.

Any wall charger with a USB port will work. You can go to Target or BestBuy and other places too. An iPhone charger is fine.

  • 4 amp charger for iPad 3

    Hi !
Do you think a 4 amp charger for iPad 3 could speed up the charging time?
    It's dangerous. Ipad support ?
    Thank's

"Since the iPad only draws 1 amp(10watts) it may cause the capacitors the leak excess voltage. Conclusion A 4 amp chager may cause a voltage spike destroying the iPad. I would suggest using the adapter that came with the IPad."
    no this is 100% wrong
    it's 5volts and watt == volt * amps
    so ipad draws 2 amps
and it's draws! not being feed
it draws the amps out of the charger as much as it require
if the charger is able to supply 4amps or 40MEGA amps dont mean anything at all
it's all down to ohms law
volt spikes have nothing to do with how much amp a device can supply

  • Does the wall charger for a 17" macbook pro work on my new Macbook Pro?

I searched for docs and specs but can't seem to come with anything. Does the wall charger for a 17" macbook pro work on my new Macbook Pro?

Well, obviously you have NO faith in me or you wouldn't ask.
Go to the Apple Store online. Search for laptop power products and look for Apple's replacement AC adaptors. One is the 60 watt model for MacBooks. The other is the 85 watt adaptor - now read this very carefully because it's in smaller, lighter print - which says for 15" and 17" MacBook Pros. Will you take Apple's word?

"Can I use charger 10w without any worreies(damage battery)?"
    Yes you can.

If you mean "can I get my power adapter replaced under warranty, at the Apple store?", yes.

  • USB wall charging for ipod

Apple wall charger is too much costly so if u have an existing USB wall charger for ur camera or ur phone, use it to charge ur ipod.
Make sure that the output ampere rating is min 1A.
But if u have to buy one buy other makes like Phillips only for $7.
I am using my Kodak camera charger with the OEM usb dock connector......no problrm at all.
    Save & donate for charity.

    - While charging try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next try restoring the iPod via iTunes.  First from backup and if still problem restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
    - However, I really think that the iPod has a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.  If defective Apple should give you a refurbished iPod.

  • 3 amp, 2-port charger for iPad & iPhone, where are they?

Why hasn't Apple (or Griffin Technology) released a 2-port travel charger for iPad & iPhone? Is it really that hard to design a 3-amp power block? It is a royal pain having to carry 2 power blocks, and a struggle to find enough outlets to get everything charging at once.
    Thanks!

This is my preference, by Belkin, because it has all of the bases covered; surge protector with three electrical outlets and two USB outlets. You can swivel the prongs on the back 360° with 4 locking positions. I take mine everywhere I travel.

  • Wall charger for Xmod: 5.5V~700m

I bought a?wall charger for my Xmod which is spec'd at 5.5V~700mA. Is this OK for the Xmod?It is marketed for the?some of the same products as one of the Creative adapters (ZEN Neeon, ZEN Micro, ZEN MicroPhoto, ZEN V, ZEN V Plus). Someone said: Official Creative Adapter - 5V / 2.4 ASomeone else said : Xmod power requirements are 5VDC at A?Tips, please.

The Xmod manual says?the?AC adapter needs to provide 5v / A. Be it right or wrong, I use a?small, 4 port powered USB hub (normally for computers)?as an alternati've?power source to a?less?useful?AC adapter for my Xmod. I'm pretty sure it only puts out?00mAs. I'm not sure about that but I compared it to similar ones at a RS when I bought a more powerful (500mA) one with 7 ports. It works perfectly fine as far as I can tell; no difference between using that and powering it off the very same USB hub connected to the computer or the newer, more powerful one. Neither is amp but as far as I know, as long as you don't go over the amperage there is no need to worry about damaging it. This is a way to save some money (around $0 or so) on an AC adapter plus power up to 3 other USB powered devices at the same time (and recharge some too), plus can come in handy as a 4 port hub on a laptop. Something to think about. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about the above.
