Wall Charger No Longer Working...

Hi,
My BlackBerry Playbook's wall charger is no longer functioning.. Will I be able to get a free replacement? I'd call but apparantly BlackBerry charges thier customers for phone support..
Hope someone can help..

Any warranty has to go through the retailer with Blackberry products, in this case future shop.

  • Wall Charger doesn't work!!!!!

    Hi everyone
I have a wall charger or USB power supply.
I used it with my Ipod mini for a very long time and it worked really well
Now I got an Ipod touch but i can't change it by using the charger
this is the information of the charger please help me
    Input:100-240V 50-60Hz 0.04A
    Output: DC 5V 500mA

I have an iPod touch 16gb, updated to 1.1.3.
My experience with 3rd party chargers is that my touch gives no indication that they are charging the device, but the iPod touch ends up getting fully charged.
I have posted on a few threads on this issue. I'm going to the Genius Bar tonight to see what they say.
Be aware that after a bout with a third party charger, the power meter may read low, but after a few minutes of use it corrects itself.
I suspect that the combination of "no indication of charging" with the "bogus reading after charging" is leading a lot of folks to conclude incorrectly that their 3rd party charger isn't working.
That is, if their iPods are working like mine is...

  • What do I do if the the wall charger doesn't work for the ipad2?

my ipad 2 won't charge with the wall charger. What do I do if that happens?

If it's saying 'not charging' it is likely still charging, just at less than optimum and will take much longer than normal. You can go and get a new brick at almost any retail outlet. (yours could be covered under warranty if it's not too old, but sending it off doesn't help you charge it while it's gone)
If you buy a new brick and still get the 'not charging', you can also swap out the USB cord. If you try it with multiple outlets, multiple bricks and multiple cables...you can try to reset your iPad, either power cycle it or hold down the home and sleep button until you see the apple logo.
If you reset it and have used multiple combinations of outlets and bricks and cables then it's a very good possibility that your docking port/USB port on the iPad is going bad. Which means, depending on how old it is, you can likely exchange it or send it in for replacement/repair.

  • My iphone 5 charge no longer works

As soon as I upgraded to 7, my APPLE chargers no longer worked for my iPhone 5. What's going on?

Hi, I had the exact same problems on my 4S for about a month. I tried all of the previous rememdies without success. It appears if the contacts of the docking port are dirty/corroded this will prevent you speakers from working. Who would have thought of that!!
I finially got mine to work by cleaning the contacts on the docking port with a tootpick, a small piece of paper towel and a drop of window cleaner. I used  the following method:
    Firstly turn off your phone.
Take the toothpick and gently clean away all foriegn bodies and corrosion products from in and around the contacts, blowing hard into the dock port to remove all loose particals.
Take a small piece of paper towel and dampened it with window cleaner. Using the tooth pick to push the towel into the port, wiping out the contacts and port. Do this a couple of times using a clean piece of towel each time.
Finally blow hard into the port and visual check for any lint, towel etc remaining around the contacts.
Turn on your phone and check the function by using the volume buttons on the side. If you get the ringer volume appear with the level displayed your speaker should now be functioning correctly.
I hope this is helpful and this fixes your phone too!

  • Car charger no longer works!

I got the iPhone 3GS for fathers day and everything was great. Until I decided to plug it into my car Charger... the phone then told me that it was not compatible. I was shocked! Every apple iPod or device that used that same connector worked just fine till the 3GS. Is this a Power consumption issue?

  • Charger no longer working

My Tungsten E2 keeps a charge very well but it has been increasingly difficult to re-charge it.  Until two days ago, the lightning bolt would only appear when I waited until the power bar was down to around 25%.  But now, I cannot get the charger to work at all.  I've stopped using the Palm so that it can keep a little charge but I am getting concerned about losing several years of history.
I do not have a USB connection (and would like to know where to buy one so that I can at least back up).
I've tried soft reset - no lightning bolt.
    Suggestions, please?
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

    Hello!
This either means the charger went bad or the PalmOS has issues reading the battery.  Could try another charger but if that does not work out then first hotsync your device to backup your data and then hard reset the device.  After the hard reset, try the charger out PRIOR to hotsyncing to make sure software isnt the problem.
If still nogo then my best guess would be the battery could need a repalcement but should try another charger to take the cheaper option first.

  • IPhone 5c wall charger not working?

I got the iPhone 5c yesterday and the wall charger is not working. The USB cable itself DOES work because I was able to sync/back it up with my computer and when I plugged it in with the iPad wall charger, the USB cable worked to charge my phone. I mean this piece is brand new out of the box. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue and if it's worth it to take the time to go back to Verizon to complain..?

Sorry that this happened to you right out if the box. You can try to take it back to verizon I would say that all apple products are covered for one year. Because your iPhone 5C is under that warranty you can go to any Apple store and they will swap it out for free for a new one. Just let them know what's appended and they will do it willingly. Hope this helps

  • Why does my iPhone not charge with the wall charger?

i have recently purchased an iphone 4 (within the last month). it has charged via the wall charger at first but now, the wall charger does not work. it does charge by connecting the USB cable to my computer. is there any way i can get my wall charger working? or will i have to get a new one? thanks.

Try a different wall socket - if you haven't already and/or try this.... reset the iPad
Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. then try again.
You could also try updating your software as I have no idea which version you are running on your iPad.

  • My iPhone 4 will only charge on the computer.  It no longer charges using the wall charger.  I know the wall chargers work.  Anyone have any ideas??

Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...
    Turn the Phone On...

  • Wall Charge resulted in loss of all music and apps no longer work

Last night I charged my iPhone 3G with a wall charger and when I went to use it in the morning all of the music, videos and podcasts were missing from the iPod app. All of my downloaded apps were still there but when I click on any of them they try to start then crash immediately.
All of the preloaded apps seem to work and my photos are still there. Does anyone have any ideas of what I may have done wrong? Anyone else have this happen?
    O.S. 2.0.2 version.

I was charging it with the little square plug that came with the iPhone but I used a 3rd party cable connected to the Apple doc. Yeah when I get home I am going to resync with iTunes and I'm sure it will replace the content I just want to be able to charge the phone from my bedroom where there is no PC.

  • No longer works with wall charger

I have a Logic3 wall charger and it used to work fine with my 3rd gen iPod nano. However, right after installing an update around Oct/Sep I believe, it stopped working. Everytime I plug it in, the screen freezes and it doesn't charge; I know because I assumed it was charging and it had no more battery.
It isn't the charger because it works fine with friend's iPod (though they bought theirs just recently). I'm not sure if the update caused this, but I'm not sure. Please help if you have any info. Thank you.

Sorry- I would have replied sooner but for some reason it wouldn't let me log in.
I realize that my warranty wouldn't have covered it, just sometimes I wonder if it's really a coincidence that everything I own spontaneously combusts days after the warranty runs out.
But thanks for your response. At first I left it for a couple of hours, and then tried another four days. It was okay for about two days, but came back.
Then it went away by itself again for a while, but now it's back and worse than ever. A lot of times I can't even get the error off the screen. And if I try to play any songs, the song starts skipping.
There isn't anything else I can try, is there?
At this point I'm starting to think I'd be better off with a new one. In my experience, sending things in only ends up costing more than the thing itself and half the time it returns still broken.
It's too bad, I much prefer the lst generation Nanos to the 2nd.

  • My iPod won't charge on a wall charger, only on the computer. I used the same cord for both though. I used to be able to charge it with a wall charger, but now suddenly I can't. I've even used other wall pieces. Nothing seems to work.

My iPod will no longer charge with a wall charger, only the computer. I know it's not becuase of the wall piece or my cord, since I also use the same cord for computer charging, and the wall piece seems to work with others devices. It worked a couple of weeks ago, then suddenly quit. I think it may be something to do with the inside of my iPod where the charger goes. I find it really inconvient to always have to use the computer to charge my iPod. I believe I have a three year warrenty on my iPod, but I wouldn't think it would cover this problem. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

    Not Charge
    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    - Try another cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Bring the wall charger
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
If you have a three-year warrany it is not from Apple. The standare Apple warrantyis 1 year and y can purchas an extended warranty that give y a total of two years. You can check your Apple warranty coverage hee:

  • Ipod touch 2G wont work with wall charger

my ipod touch will charge fine when plugged into my computer, but when plugged into a 2005 USB wall charger that i just bought unopened, the little battery icon in the top right flicks from charging to fully charged and back and forth when i know it is nowhere near fully charged.
I am also using an old usb cable that came with my ipod video 5G, but the touch works fine with that cable in the computer.
    How do i fix this?

With the release of the 2nd Gen iPod Touch, Apple changed their charging system within the iPod and iPhone lines, rendering older chargers useless for the new devices. That it even claims to charge in any fashion is strange. It is possible the charger is simply defective or unable to provide the necessary power for the iPod Touch.
Technical side: If your charger is using the Firewire charging pins, it will no longer work on the newer devices. Look for 5v at 1 amp output.

  • IPad2 working only when plugged in to the 10W wall charger

    Hello,
Today my iPad2 suddenly stopped turning on. Now it just turns on when connected to the 10W wall charger, and even so it works only for about one minute and then turns off again.
Could it be a problem related to its battery and I should replace it?
When I turn it on (using the wall charger) it says the battery is fully (100%) charged.
    Thank you very much,
    Paulo

If the battery isn't dead - and it seems like it might be - you are to the point where you need to get an Apple genius involved.
Is your iPad less than one year old and still under warranty? If it is, I would make an appointment with an Apple Genius and take it in for a checkup and let Apple determine if there is anything that they can do. If not, you should get a replacement as long as the issue is not deemed to be caused by accidental damage.
