  • Are there any wall mount brackets for the new iMac 27" 5k?

I have a wall mount (Bretford) for my Cinema HD Display that I have been using since 2008.  I just purchased the new iMac 27inch 5k computer.  It would be great to be able to use this computer with the wall mount.  The ones that are available (VESA) from the apple store and say they will work with some older iMacs.  My question is are there any available for the iMac I purchased? Thanks.

Hi. The VESA mounts for the iMacs are not "changeable": either you buy an iMac with a pedestal, either you buy one with a VESA mount, but you cannot switch, because the VESA mount is the first thing built in the iMac. You would need to sell your 5K iMac and buy a VESA 5K iMac.

    Hi all,

    Hi Scott,

  • Wall Mount Bracket - TouchSmart 610

I want to wall mount my TouchSmart 610 PC and have found the below link:
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02756312/c02756312.pdf
    Where it states:
Designed for flat-panel displays ranging in size from 508 mm to 582 mm (20 inches to 22.9
inches) diagonal, and weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
My question is, why does the bracket have to support a weight up to 50lbs?  The all in one only weights 26lbs and the brackets that support 50lbs are bigger and much more expensive to buy.....  Can't a bracket that supports say up to 30lbs be sufficient?

    Hello Scooby 2020:
HP store sells our wall mounts there are three types to choose from.  Just use chat window and ask operator witch one is best one for your computer. Prices very to. You want to check and make sure the bracket holes matches what is on your computer mount holes.  They always over rate the waight of the holder because they do not want it to fall or brake a mount that is why they recomend the stronger mounts.  A 30 LB bracket might brake virus a much stonger bracket at 50 LBs. http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/search-SimpleOfferSearch;pgid=c7twGfjc0ptSRpIq7ZUcoGX... You are welcome. If it was my computer I was hanging witch cost almost $1000.00 I would want a strong support to hold it and not some cheep model support. If you do use a 30 lb mount How much money would you loose if it breaks. Your cost of your computer replacement.  frrw

  • Wall mount solution for AppleTV2?

I have a plasma hung on a wall in my bedroom and I also have a AppleTV2 connected to it, but it's currently just dangling from the tv wall mount. Are there any wall mounts for the AppleTV2? The only one's I can find online are for the first generation AppleTV. How are others mounting their AppleTV2 to the wall and/or tv on the wall?

    Hello my freind
I just brought the following and it works great will mount on any surface cut one bit in half
Velcro 60239 HeavyDuty Stick on Strips 50mmx100mm Black
Make sure once you stick it to the surface you leave it to bond for 24 hours as the sticky side has to take before you peel the velcro off of each other then you simpley just remove it each time buy pulling it off the velcro fixxing. It is so strong fixxing it will never move you would think it was screwed to the wall not stuck with velcro.
Also cut two thin strips and put them on each end of the remote and again on the wall, again wait 24 hours for it to bond to the wall.
This will mount your remote when not using it next to your apple tv 2.
The strips of velcro honnestly hold items upto 7kg a strip I could not belive it when i tried it , I just thought i would try it and was amazed at the result.
I forgot to say make sure the spike side of the velcro is on the wall as it seams to be the stronger side so when you remove it it is slightly easyier to remove it still will take some edging to remove as the velcro is also really strong.
Hope this helps you with a great solution at a cheap price kindest regards Lee

  • Wall Mount cables for phones

Hello all, I was wondering what kind of cables you use to wall mount your cisco 7911 phones. When we try to use a regular cat 5 cable the RJ 45 end is to big to actually allow the phone to be mounted.

No we are not. We are just using the wall holes on the phone. We do not require the wall mount kits and prefer not to use them. We also can not use them because a lot of our building have wire mold boxes installed.
    Thanks

  • Mounting Brackets for WLC526

I ordered a WLC526 for a customer. Howevever, it didn't come with brackets to mount it into a standard 19" rack.
I called our distributer support. They said that it's intended to be a desktop unit. However, it has screw holes on the side of it.
Does anyone have a part number for brackets to mount the WLC526 into the rack?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Thanks alot.
Those part numbers are actually for the asa, but i hear they will work on the WLC526. The actual part number for the UC500 rack mounts is ACS-UC500RM-19=.
I found that the "UC500" part number quite a bit less expensive than the ASA part number.
    Thanks,
    Ben

  • Chances of a Recall for 20in iMac

I just bought a 20 inch iMac and definitely noticed the screen gradient. Googled it and now I am here. I have tried talking to a genius but he says he cant see the difference and that I am the first person to complain!
Anyways, my question is seeing how widespread this problem is, is Apple going to do anything about it? Any past experience on what they will do? I have heard something about past iMac problems but do not know the specifics. Should i just keep it and hope they will repair it later on? Thanks!

The genius/sales people are either blind or the higher ups at Apple are telling them to play dumb that any issues exist. People have been exchanging and returning both the 20" & 24" models for weeks now. I personally returned a 24" Alum iMac 3 weeks ago and I have to say I was treated very well by my Apple Store. They offered me exchange or full refund, i.e. no restocking fee. They played dumb at first but when I calmly but firmly stuck to my guns they easily came around.
Now I have to say after following several different forums on the Internet regarding these screen issues for the past month, I'm starting to see signs that Apple may, (not sure yet) but may be addressing these issues although not publicly. It's possible some initial units were defective when shipped and good units are now starting to hit the stores.
The reasons for returning/exchanging the new iMacs are quite varried but the bottomline is there were and are issues with both the 20" & 24"screens. The 20" is not so much an issue of defective parts but rather that a less expensive LCD panel is now being used compared to its predecessor the 20" White iMac. Many 20" White iMac owners were surprised, confused and some dissapointed when they received there new Alum 20" Others love it and are extremely happy.
Also calibrating the screen is a must. For some reason Apple ships most Macs from the factory using a Color profile that make the screen look washed out. It appears they may be attempting to use a better one now. (not sure on that)
If you have or are considering the new 20" Alum iMac, the following is a MUST READ before buying!...
    http://www.appleswitcher.com/viewtopic.php?t=32149
This post has great info on what to expect performance and appearance wise from each screen. The 20" Alum iMac uses a different type of panel from the 24" and some gradient from top to bottom is common to this type of display. How much you can live with is a personal choice. How common is it? Check out the current MacBook screens, (not the MacBook Pro) and just about every PC Laptop screen on the market. And apparently every 22" LCD panel in the industry uses this particular type of panel as well.
Regarding the 24" screen issues, If the posts from this site are not enough ammunition for the Apple Staff, here are some more from the MacRumors web site. There have absolutely, positively been problems with this panel.

Not having very much luck finding the product you're describing but i'm more than happy to assist you with this.
I would assume since the OP is posting in the Touchsmart forum they are referring to the Touchsmart 610-1201 computer, no idea why you can't find it, the OP gave all the correct information.
OP you're probably looking for the #VK554AA adapter, but you will still need an additional VESA wall mount.
Google for "touchsmart wall mount adapter for vesa wall mount" and you'll see the many sources for this part.

  • EA4500 wall mount options

Can the EA4500 be wall mounted?
I don't see any provisions on the underside EA4500 to support securing to a wall.

Yes I believe it will work best horizontally.  You never know but that might be the reason they didn't provide keyholes for wall mounting, because it might dimish the performance for it to mounted that way.
I've been wondering if it would work OK upside down on the celing.  Most horizontal wireless routers & AP's seem to be fine with that, sometimes even preferring it.
And related to that I was wondering if some clever 3rd party would come up with a mounting bracket that the EA4500 or E4200 could slip into.
For example, the Apple Airport Extreme similarly does not have any keyholes for wall mounting, but a company called H-Squared came up with a $30 plexiglass mounting bracket for it.
Anyone ever seen anything like this for the new Linksys cases?
