Wallpaper problem

after i upadate my ipad mini  to i.o.s 7.0.4  my wallpaper can't fit to my ipad mini all the photo change to bigger size?
how can i fit my group photo in my wallpaper.

Try going into the photos app and 'send' your photo to be wallpaper by tapping on the little square with the arrow poking out of it. You will have a bit more scalability.
You may also want to go into the settings, general, accessibility and turn reduce motion to 'on'. Basically with iOS7 they added the 3D effect, where your icons seem to float over the wallpaper, well to do that the wallpaper needs to 'wrap around' so to speak to  give that 3D appearance. WHich is why things zoom in, to make sure there are enough extra pixels so it looks like your wallpaper is wrapped. Turning reduce motion on should help with that.
Also, the higher resolution your photos are the better. The resolution of your iPad screen is at least 1024 x 768, and possibly higher. If you're using a photo that is smaller, the iPad doesn't have as many pixels to maneuver around as they would if the photo was bigger.

  • Photos App and Wallpaper Problems in iOS8

I'm a fan of photos of Apple because of its retina display (I'm using an iPod touch 5th Gen 32gb)... it gives my images the best quality and real sharpness of every image. But when I updated to iOS8. I found some tiny problems.. well it is tiny, but for a Multimedia artist like me.. its a very BIG DEAL.
    The Photos App:
Whenever I open up some of my photography in the Photos app, it loses it's sharpness. it is not that sharp, and to sharpen it.. i had to zoom in and zoom out.  Unlike in the older versions of iOS, the photos (in any given resolution) will be automatically sharp when I slide through my images. In iOS8, it simply don't and it is really frustrating. Try it yourself to see the difference.
note: my photography is straight from my DSLR camera then I just put it in my iPod. You may suggest to resize it, yeah I do, but in iOS7 the sharpness is really good.
    Changing my wallpaper:
I always make my own high quality wallpaper through my photography and my works. And my wallpaper always looked very sharp and great. I haven't changed my wallpaper since I updated to iOS8, last night I created a new wallpaper (in Photoshop) and when I changed it to my iPod... the quality is just not that good. (Problem is similar to the Photos app) The sharpness is just not there. I can't appreciate my "Retina" display anymore.
Hope you guys hear this out and fix it.
P.S. in iOS7 I do the similar stuff and it works just fine, in iOS8 it really doesn't and it is really irritating.

  • Wallpaper problem with newly imported images. 1680x1050 displaying @840x525

    Hello,
I imported some new images into Aperture and I want to use them as Desktop wallpapers for my computer. The images original size are 1680x1050 and they appear to retain they're size upon import.
I then go to System Preferences -> Desktop and ScreenSaver and find my images in the project I placed them in. All my previous imported images that were imported many months ago still display fine however these new images are displaying 840x525! I know the exact size because after selecting the image I can drag its thumbnail view from the preview area.
I then tried just specifying the folder in my hard drive where the images are located and the Desktop and Screensaver applet had no problem displaying the images at their original size 1680x1050 so I don't believe anything is wrong with them.
I tried looking throughout Aperture if there was an import setting that could be affecting this but I didn't find anything. The only thing I've done recently was upgrade my system to 10.5.4 with the Software Update tool. Is there anything else that can be wrong here?
Note: I tried using this wallpaper as well as still have the same issue, http://ironmanmovie.marvel.com/downloads/desktops/images/desk03_1680.jpg
I would appreciate any insight to what can be causing my images to display smaller than they really are on my wallpaper. When viewing them in Aperture they are the correct size.
    Thanks,
    - Jake

  • Nokia 6500s Slide Animated Wallpaper problem

Has anyone else had this problem. I have the 6500 Slide phone with version 10 rm240 firmware on it and downloaded a theme onto it which has a flash file of a clock and date on it and falling snow. Everything runs fine the snow falls on the standby wallpaper and in the screensaver until I put on the bluetooth then the trouble starts, the clock stops (seconds as well and the second hand on the analog clock) and the snow stops falling. It is almost like the bluetooth turned on is conflicting with the swf file. Anyone else experienced that or is it just with my handset? Thanks.

...... can anyone help? - i cant even get an answer from nokia support when i emailed them!

  • Feh restore wallpaper problem

    Hello.
I use feh to set my wallpaper, but command eval `cat $HOME/.fehbg` & don't accept spaces in my wallpapers name.
What to do if the wallpaper/image has spaces in its name?
    Feh doesn't save the filename bash compliant (Wallpaper/Sky - Blue.jpg instead of Wallpaper/Waves\ -\ Blue.jpg).
How can i make to restore my wallpapers with spaces in its name?

    Ramses de Norre wrote:
    . $HOME/.fehbg
    works for me.
The problem is that feh doesn't enclose the file name in quotes when it saves it in .fehbg
So you come to have something like
    feh --bg-center file with spaces.jpg
you can't even escape quotes because in that case you would find yourself with
    "feh --bg-center file with spaces.jpg"
which is recognize as a single command (imagine you had a file called "feh --bg-center file with spaces.jpg" in /usr/bin )
That's why you have to resort to sed/awk to make it work like I did: you need to put the quotes in the right place.

  • 6300 wallpaper problem

I got a 6300 recently. Quite a nice handset. I sized one of my own images to 240x320 and set it as the wallpaper and that works fine. But each trime I turn the phone off and back on again, it forgets the setting and reverts to the factory default wallpaper image. What am I missing? I can't see anywhere where I have to tell it to "save" the setting. I am storing my image on the memory card - is that the problem?

If the image or the current wallpaper is stored on the memory card and you remove the card. Ofcourse the wallpaper will revert on its original image - like the Nokia.nth theme.
But if not, you may try updating your phone's firmware by clicking to this link below:

Make sure you meet the system requirements before proceeding and backup some of your important contents.

  • Lock screen wallpaper problem

    Hello,
I've got a problem with setting lock screen wallpaper.
Every time I go to settings --> personalize --> lock screen wallpaper and click on it, choose Xperia wallpaper or any other from the album, then it allows me to "cut" it, and as only I am trying to save it it shows me the message "unable to set wallpaper"
    Any ideas?
Tried to restart the phone but still I've got this issue, very annoying.

No matter with or without the pattern as I only try to cut the picture and set it as wallpaper the result is always the same, you can see it on the screen below:
It says: "It is not possible to set wallpaper"

  • MBP retina display wallpaper problem

I just bought the MBP retina display and somehow the OS doesn't save my wallpaper. It will go to the default Mac wallpaper whenever i restart my computer. Is there a way to solve this?

Alright no worries, I felt it was worth while looking at, although the unit is 4 days old in your hands, the software was likely installed longer than that, at the distribution centre.
The next step we would likely do, is remove the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the desktop itself, this will encourage the operating system when restarted (or logged out) to regenerate a new file in its place.
Although this is such an evasive step, and should cause no problems, since it is a user specific file, I do feel the need to tell you to backup any data first, and make sure you have everything covered before proceeding.
I would expect nothing to go wrong in this process, honestly , but whenever a solution comes down to replacing files the operating system has in place, its worth covering.  If you are satisfied you have everything backed up, and wish to proceed,  the next steps are as follows:
    1) Open up a finder window, you can do this by clicking the square face symbol on your dock (half dark blue, half light blue).  You should have a finder menu bar running across the top of your screen, and 'Go' should be listed.
    2) Select 'Go' and this will drop down a list of places your system can go to.  Hold down the Option (alt) key on your keyboard and this will show the hidden 'library' in your drop down list. Select library.
    3) The finder window will now show the contents of your user library.  Find a folder called preferences in that folder and go into it.
    4) You will now see many com.apple.xxxx.plist files.  Find a file or files beginning in com.apple.desktop (com.apple.desktop.plist is the common one, but sometimes there is com.apple.desktop lockfiles also) and drag them to the desktop itself, make sure the files are actually moved to the desktop and not just copied.
    5) Once the files are moved to the desktop, and no longer exist in your preferences folder, restart the computer, and try again.  The computer at this point would have generated replacement files.

  • Creating a 3840x1080 wallpaper problem

    Hi guys,
I have recently purchased Photoshop CS5 (x64) but I am having difficulty creating an image with a 3840 x 1080 resolution. I have a dual screen setup (2x 1920x1080 screens) and would like to make a desktop background that can fit across both perfectly. I want to make two 1920x1080 images into one 3840x1080 image, if you understand me correctly.
When I create a blank 3840x1080 image by clicking File>New and then inputting the correct width and height etc, if I then drag the two 1920x1080 images into Photoshop they do not maintain the correct proportions and instead are smaller than they should be. This means that I have to then stretch the images over half of the blank 3840x1080 image, but this is very difficult to do perfectly (even when I click show "pixel grid"). There must surely be a way of making the JPEGs/images maintain their correct proportions when I move them into Photoshop.
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks

I can only give you advice for a windows system.  If you displays are identical or have the same DPI resolution and you primary display is on the left your job is easy.  If the displays have different DPI resolution they will display the image at two sizes and since both of your displays display 1920x1080 pixels they will also have different physical sizes.  My set up is more complex my primary display is on the right is a 15" 4:3 12"x9" aspect ratio and displays 1600x1200 pixels at 133DPI my second screen is on the left is an 18" 16:9 16"x9" aspect ratio displays 1360x768 pixels at 85 DPI to create a seamless wallpaper I have to create an image where the right side is place in the left and is 1600x1200  pixels (4:3) 133 DPI and the left side is in the right that is 1360x1200 that has been scaled down from a larger number of pixel to be display at the lower 85DPI resolution only the top 1360x768 pixels (16:9) are displayed.  To have windows seamless display the image across the displays you need to use the TILE option.  My wallpaper is created with a Photoshop action and look funny in Photoshop. Yours would look normal.  All you need do is set the rectangle marquee tool to mode fixes aspect ratio 32:9 and draw out the crop you want. then do an image crop followed be a image size resample constrain and set the to pixel width to 3840 and set the interpolation to what you want to use.  Here is and example of one of my wallpapers images.
looking at my desktop you see
note bird same image left screen 85DPI right screen 133DPI
The action works on a large image
That one was done for my old setup where the left screen was  was a 4:3 1024x768 all I needed to do was set the ratio to 8:3 and size the left hand side down for the 84DPI resolution display and place it on the right.... save a 2624x1200 image.
    Isn't Photoshop fun.

  • [SOLVED]Feh wallpaper problem

This used to work and it isn't now. It's pissing me off. Here are my configuration files. The wallpaper gets displayed for like 1-2 seconds after I login with SLIM and then it autosets to the default openbox, semi-gray black.
    .xinitrc
    http://pastebin.com/LVfAzGtJ
    .fehbg
    http://pastebin.com/1VnGEygf
The file wallpaper exists in the location in .fehbg. why doesn't work? I don't understand...as it displays 1-2 seconds on startup.

  • Changing Wallpaper Problem

I tried to change my wallpaper to a pic from my photo library (recieved from bluetooth).
Everytime I try to change it to that picture, it`ll change back to the default picture (with flowers).
    Why is that?

Are the pictures stored on your media card or on your device memory?  Does the same thing happen if you take a picture and try to make it your wallpaper?
    Thanks

  • Nokia E50 wallpaper problem

I just can't make wallpaper to show over the whole screen. No matter which resolution I use, I got a small picture in the middle of the screen. I started with 240 x 320, than tried larger resolutions, but it is all the same. The only way is to apply the whole theme, but what if I like particular picture?
    Any ideas?

A full-screen background pic requires using a theme for it.
You can create your own themes with:
    - On a Windows PC using Carbide.c++ S60 Theme Edition from Forum Nokia ( http://forum.nokia.com ).
    - Online through http://www.ownskin.com

If you are really keen on putting the picture then convert the file format to GIF format. Open your picture in some photo editor like Windows Paint the save the image as GIF. This will then work.
