Wana chamge icloud Account!!

I wana change my icloud account by using my new apple id but everytime it gives me an error with this statement
Cannot sign in The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.appleaccount error 403.)
Plz Assist me what kind of this error is and how me could create my new icloud account coz i have delete the previous one.
Thankx...

That means you've reached the limit of three new iCloud accounts on this device. The only way to fix is to create the new account on a computer or another iOS device, then setup the account on your existing device.

Not photos, just data synced with iCloud shown in Settings>iCloud.  If you don't have sufficient storage to back up to iCloud, back up to your computer instead using iTunes (connect you phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to ths Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now).  Also transfer your purchases to your iTunes library (connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases). If you have photo stream photos older than 30 days tha you wan to save, save these to your camera roll before backing up (tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward facing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).
When setting up your new phone, when given the option choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore the backup you made earlier.

  • Share Airport Disk over WAN via iCloud

Does anyone have info on how 7.6.1 allows WAN access via an iCloud account?  Supposedly that was a new feature and I can't find anything about it.
Sorry for everyone's frustrations.  My 7.6.1 update went fine on two Extremes & an Express.  7.5.2 was the one that gave me fits last year.

I understand now about the IP address but every address that makes a direct connection to the Internet must be unique so I don't understand how you and your neighbour can have the same IP address. You may be on the same subnet, first three groups of number in IP the same, but it is impossible to have the exact same address otherwise the Internet would be broken for both of you. Are you sure the last group of numbers is not different? In the following sequence the number represented by DDD should be different between you and your neighbour.
AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD <-- DDD must be different
Anyway, it appears that things are mostly working. If you can access the Airport base station to configure it remotely then you should also be able to access the hard drive remotely.
When you are at a remote location does the name of your Airport Base station stay on the Finder sidebar? If it does what happens when you click on it to select it? If your AirPort disks are protected by a password it should ask you for your password and then the disk should become available.

Just trying to figure out how to change the apple ID that my iCloud account is signed into on my phone
I created a new apple ID and want to use this new apple ID for imessage, icloud etc.
I have the new apple ID working for itunes and the app store, however the cloud account won't change over. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

So back it up first if you are concerned.
All iCloud data will be removed from your Mac when you logout (you can't delete the account) , it will be retained in the iCloud account and can be restored by logging in again.

  • How can I create a new iCloud account for a familiy member having a new iDevice and reuse one of my aliases for it

    Hi there,
I moved into iCloud from the very beginning and started with one iCloud account for me and my family, making use of email aliases for family members. Now the number of personal iDevices grows and I want to create a new and separate iCloud Account for my son. The pity is, that I reserved his full name already as alias address on my initial iCloud account. If I now delete this alias, can I create a new account with the former alias as new primary email address?
Or is there at least any transfer procedure supported for aliases between different accounts?
    Thanks for your help, lauterbachj

Couldn't agree more... the folks who are getting penalized for this are the early adopters of .Mac/iCloud dating from the days when the only way to implement a "family" account was to use aliases. Now all my kids' / my wife's name aliases sit in my account, unable to move. I guess the good news is that if I delete them nobody else will get them, but this seems a pretty poor consolation.
Would it really be so difficult to implement a "move this alias to another iCloud account" option that requires the "sender" and "receiver" to exchange some sort of code to implement the transation in order to prevent fraud?

  • How can I Migrate/Split itunes/icloud account for a large family now that they have family sharing

Ok, now that Apple has finally come out with family sharing I need to get things sorted out and I think it is going to be a mess. I have 6 family members (my spouse and 4 children) all sharing/using one itunes account. For parental reasons this made perfect sense. Now with the the advent of family sharing and such we have alot of sorting and migrating to do and I am very unsure how to go about it. Here is what we have.
    Myself - I have a 64GB iPad 3 and a 64GB iPhone 5
    Spouse - 64GB iPhone 5
    Children - x4 16GB iPhone 5C (pink, blue, green, and a yellow)
We have had one itunes account now for several years, we used to have x4 16GB iphone 4's and a 16GB iPod touch 4 so we needed it to be shared at the time. We all have different Game Center ID's and Facetime/iMessages are all setup to the phone numbers (aside from mine which also uses the itunes e-mail). We currently have 1 upgraded icloud account with 200GB of storage on it (love the new tiers). So here are the questions.
    1) How do I go about using and isolating all the devices so they can all use the iCloud storage? Right now if I try and setup backups by device under the what to backup there is no simple "Full Backup" option, they have all the categories separated. I cannot backup my daughters contacts without forcing a merging of them and so on. Same thing with Documents and Data. Would I need to setup a different iCloud account for each device now?
    2) iTunes Music/App purchases. Now that they have a family sharing function I am assuming it would be a good time to separate all the devices (aside from my personal iPad/iPhone). If I understand correctly we need to setup a new itunes account for each and link them with family sharing, does this then allow us to disperse/move items from a singular to the multiple account (at least a one time option to move around) or would it simply be shared off the original account? My daughter for example will be 18 next summer and as such no longer under our care. How do we move her items to her account? She has a lot of purchased Music. Now keep in mind I am talking about an account for someone who was 12 when she had her first device and as such needed to be under her parents.
I just want to state that repurchasing things is NOT an option, and to be frank,  according to Canadian laws pertaining to *licensing* we actually own the product if we paid for it and have the right to transfer the ownership thereof. This issue went through the courts regarding used copies of OEM editions of Microsoft Windows several years ago and they closed the legal *license* vs ownership separation.

Go to appleid.apple.com to manage the ID, sign in and select to the Name, ID and Email Addresses section, then change the birth date on the bottom right.  At the present time you may not be able to enter the correct birth date, but others have had success changing the year to 2000, or the date to 1/1/2001, both of which will have child ID status.

  • Cannot send email from icloud account from mac

cannot send email from icloud account from mac running 10.8.2

The SMTP server you are using with Wi-Fi would be the outgoing server of your internet service provider... this is likely why that's working.
SMTP servers specific to a ISP would not work on the 3G network. You would probably need another SMTP server. One from your cell provider?

  • How do I unlink an iCloud account from an iTunes one?

This is like  https://discussions.apple.com/message/25495321  which randers4 answered last month.  My wife & son both have iPhones on the her iTunes & iCloud accounts, which causes all sorts of grief with iMessage & iTunes purchases (apps & music) and we need to get son on his own .  She has hundreds of notes and thousands of calendar entries that she REALLY doesn't want to lose; he has lots of music & apps (bought on her account) that he REALLY doesn't want to lose.
    randers 4 suggested first
You need to migrate her device to a different account.  To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; your devices won't be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
    1) I don't understand the difference between photo stream and camera roll - what's that all about?  Sounds quite labour intensive for anything more than a few photos.  Son has hundreds of photos taken on the iPhone, wife has dozens - can I just use iTunes to take my wife's photos off her device, and leave son with anything he's got in the cloud?
    2) Notes are a real issue - would be horrible to have to mail mail each one and recreate.  Is there no way to bulk export, either from phone or cloud?
    3) What about calendar entries?  The phone only stores the last x months, and the rest are on iCloud.  Really don't want to lose these, they are effectively my wife's diary with notes taken at meetings and from our holidays.  As they aren't all on the deivce, I don't know if Merge will do what randers4 suggests.
All looks really messy, any help the community can offer is much appreciated.

You're welcome.  I've been gone all day so I'm just getting back to you...
To answer your first question, that's normal.  When you take a photo on your device (or save an image from an email or web page), it is saved to the camera roll.  If you have photo stream enabled, new photos/images added to the camera roll are then uploaded to your photo stream.  (This happens when the device is connected to wifi with the camera app closed and it has at leaset 20% battery life remaining.)  Once added to photo stream, all devices.computers sharing the photo stream then receive a copy of the photo.  Since the device that added the photo to camera roll is also sharing the photo stream, it receives a copy of the photo as well, in the my photo stream album.  That's how you end up with a copy of the photo in both the camera roll (the original) and in my photo strem (the photo stream copy).

If I understand correctly, I can avoid any issue with Notes & Calendar by keeping the existing iCloud account on my wife's device, and migrate my son to his own new iCloud, having protected any of his Photo Stream pics from deletion first.  Then we can lose his data on her iCloud, and presumably his iCloud will only have the stuff uploaded from his iPhone after it is linked to the new account.  Is that right?
Correct.  When you delete the existing iCloud account from his phone, it is only deleted from his phone, not from iCloud.  Thus, deleting the account from his phone will not effect any devices that continue to use the existing account.  Once his phone is on a separate account, your wife and son can each go to icloud.com from a computer and delete each other's data from their own account without effecting the other account.  After doing so, they will only have their own data in their separate accounts.
If you want to deal with the notes on someone else's Mac, you would want to start by going to System Preferences>iCloud on their Mac, click Sign Out, then choose Delete at all of the prompts.  This will delete their iCloud account and data from their Mac, but not from iCloud.  Then you would sign back in using your existing iCloud account, and check both Notes and Mail (having Mail checked is required in order to sync Notes with iCloud).  Next, you would go to System Preferences>Internet Accounts (or Mail,Contacts,Calendars if using OS X Lion)>iCloud, sign into your son's new iCloud account as a secondary account, and check both Mail and Notes in this account as well.  Then you should be able to drag and drop the notes between the two accounts inside the Notes app (if you want to copy them, hold down the Option key as you drag and drop; if you want to move them, just drag and drop).  When you're done, sign out of both iCloud accounts, choose Delete at all of the prompts, then sign back in to the original iCloud account that the Mac was using.  Their iCloud data will then download back to their Mac and it will be as it was when you started.

  • How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account.  To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa).

  • How can I move information from one icloud account to a brand new one?

I've shared an icloud account with my sister for years and I want to get one with just my information. However, I'm not sure how to move or copy all of my information from my old icloud account into a brand new one and not lose any. Making a brand new one for my sister and keeping the old one isn't an option because she doesn't want to lose anything either. Help???

To migrate to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to iCloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

  • One computer, one iTunes account, multiple devices and iCloud accounts, help!

We have a family MacBook and have always held a single iTunes account. We have multiple devices (iTunes Match has proved to be very useful). We have 2 x iCloud accounts. This causes an issue in terms of synchronisation. Is it possible to synch calendars and photos? As mentioned, the music is no longer an issue with iTunes match. Is there a way that we can synch calendars and photos without having to use a single iCloud account? In addition, the only reason we have separate iCloud accounts is for email. Can I keep my mobile.me email without an iCloud account?

I personally would recommend to use different iCloud account for your own stuff like email, calendars, reminders etc. If you want to have a calendar for your family then just share it via your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Yes, you could keep you me,com email address but it should be migrated to icloud because MobileMe was shut down.

  • HT204053 The entire family has used one itunes account for years. How do we all set up separate iCloud accounts now?

The entire family has used one itunes account for years. How do we all set up separate iCloud accounts now? Or should we? 5 macbooks, 2 ipads, 4 iphones, 2 itouch, 2 imacs.   How does one decide what to sync, share and what not to? Green Jeans.

You need to start by understanding the distinction between iTunes and iCloud - Apple confuse the issue by referring to 'iTunes Match' as part of iCloud. It isn't.
You don't have to have the same login (Apple ID) for iTunes and iCloud; many people don't and there's no problem about it.
Your iCloud ID gets you email, calendars, contacts, iWork documents and PhotoStream syncing between devices.
Your iTunes ID gets you the iTunes Store, the App Store for iOS, the Mac App Store for OSX,, 'iTunes in the Cloud' (downloading of purchased items to any logged-in device) and 'iTunes Match' (uploading of songs not purchased in the iTunes Store).
Your family members can easily each get their own iCloud account to keep email etc. separate - in each case they will need a different non-Apple email address (a free one from Yahoo etc. would do) to set up the ID. If they are sharing a Mac they need to be using a separate user account.
They can have their own iCloud accounts and still all sign into the same iTunes account: or they can open their own iTunes accounts using their new iCloud Apple IDs.
BUT they cannot transfer items purchased under the present iTunes ID to different iTunes IDs.

  • I have a pc, iphone 4s and ipad2, my daughter has an iphone 4s and macbook pro.  I want to share an itunes account.  Can there be two icloud accounts sharing one itunes account?

Between my daughter and I, we have 6 devices, can they all share the same itunes account and have two separate icloud accounts?  My itunes account ID is different from my apple ID and my daughter's apple ID.  Is it ok that they are all different.  If yes, how do they all sync up if they are different?  Help!!!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes that will work, enter the iTunes Store details into itunes on the computer and into settings > Store on your iOS devices in all cases, enter your iCloud Sync ID into system preferences > iCloud on the computer and settings > iCloud on iOS devices as required for each iCloud ID.

  • TS4097 we have multiple users in our family and multiple devices all sharing one itunes account.  i think we are all synced to one icloud account and it is a nightmare....contacts lost, text messags showing up on multiple devises etc.  how do we fix this?

We have our family sharing one itunes account.  we have 3 iphones, 2 macbook airs, 2 ipads and 1 mac.  I am not sure how we even got started on the icloud but somehow we did and everything is a mess.  The ipads are showing the text messages, the contacts are all combined, the apps that my duaghter downloads are appearing on all devices.  how do we fix this so contacts are not shared, messages are not shared and apps are not automatically synced to all devises?

You have two different issues going on.  You are getting each other's messages because you are sharing the Same Apple ID for iMessage.  This can be corrected by going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive on add the devices and doing one of the following:
Either uncheck the email address shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at" on all of your devices; or
If you want to continue to receive iMessages at this email address on one of your devices, on all of the other ones tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in using a different Apple ID (so all devices will be using a different Apple ID for iMessage).  Note: you can continue to share an Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores.  It does not need to be the same as the ID you are using for iMessage, FaceTime and other services.
The second issue is that you are sharing the same iCloud account on your devices.  When you do this any data you sync with the shared iCloud account such as contacts is merged and will appear on all devices connected to the account.  To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
First decide which device(s) will be keeping the current iCloud account.  On the one(s) that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else that you want to keep on the device(s), save these to the camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this device, not from iCloud.  The device(s) that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On [iDevice].  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a separate Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  Repeat this process for all the devices that you need to migrate to new accounts.
When finished, to un-merge the data in your accounts you will have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).
