Draw the curved line with the Pen tool. Choose Modify >
Alter path >
Expand stroke. Expand it by 10. Choose the Subselection tool
and use it
to move the two bezier points at the right end of the line
close together.

  • Fixed width row for lines table

    Hi,
I have a header and details tables in my template. The problem is that if there is more data for any of the column in lines, the row expands and hence the gap between footer and lines table is disturbed. Because of this reason I am unable to fix number of rows per page for lines. Any guidelines on this will help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Suresh
    P.S. I am a newbie in XML

    Hi,
Just to confirm this, you are having problems with the height of your table, ie it is expanding vertically down the page, as opposed to the width, expanding horizontally across the page.
You can fix the height of the table, by selecting the repeating row of the table and going to Table Properties, on the Row tab check the Specify Height box. You can then enter a height for this row. The drop down menu to the right means you specify whether the row should be At Least the specified height, or exactly the specified height.
You may need to look at nested tables here, but specifying the height of the rows should give you a reasonable starting point.

  • Change width in draw line for LabVIEW 6.1

    Hi
as I couldn't solve the problem up to now I'm posting this question again with the hint that I'm looking for a solution in LabVIEW 6.1. LV 7 has already a SetPen.vi where the style and the width can be chosen.
    Link to the other posting
    Original Text:
    HI!
I wanted to draw thicker lines in a picture control in LabVIEW 6.1. I found some posts where they mentioned that I have to edit the according VIs. So I played a bit around but didn't get it working. I'll attach pictures of the diagrams of "SetPen.vi","DrawLine.vi" and "Draw
MultipleLines.vi". Can anybody tell me what to change or provide a suitable vi? Is there a tutorial where the code and the generation thereof for picture controls is explained?"

    Andy,
The format and specifications for the picture data type and unfortunately not published for public use. The supportability of the picture data type only extends to the functionality provided in the corresponding VIs shipped with LabVIEW. You are welcome to play around with how it works, but know that it is not supported. I hope this does not provide too much of an inconvenience.

  • Why can't I use the Width tool on lines I drew with the Paintbrush tool?

I have drawn a shape using the Paintbrush tool's new smooth fidelity with a 3 pt stroke.  But when I go to use the Varible Width tool it want allow me to modify the line.  what am I doing wrong?  Is this even possible?

    Thanks.  That seems unfortunate.

  • How do I change the width of shape lines

I created a pattern in Photoshop CS6 for a project with shape lines which reside on shape layers. I want to change the line weight but after I create them it seems there is no way of changing the shape; even after I select line.
I can change the spread (uniform distribution) of the lines and lengh but not their weight. No matter if I choose all or just one of the lines which are all on the same shape layer the weight does not change. This does not make sense. Can somebody please chime in.

If you used the Line Tool, then you really created rectangles and the "Weight" option does not modify existing Lines. Scaling them simultaneously to become narrower/wider rectangles then redistributing them may solve your problem (their CS6 stroke attribute may complicate matters) so try that first.

  • [PS6]Control width of bezier line

Using [PS6], how can I make the line left by the pen tool heavier?
I've been pounding away with google and PS6 manual... but must be using off the wall search stings or something because I'm getting piles of info about bezier curves and using the pen tool but no mentions of making the damn line at least visible.
Even on High desktop sizes that darn line, if anywhere near any other border or line, is nearly invisible.
I'd like a line several pixels wide... but not seeing how that is done.

"PS6" normally means Photoshop 6 which must be more than a decade old. Maybe you mean CS6.
If CS6 then you could use the Pen Tool in "Shape" mode with no Fill and a coloured Stroke with the weight that you prefer. The controls for that are in Options bar when the tool is active.
Yes, CS6, setting shape mode, no file and set stroke size was just the ticket.  Thank you

  • How to change width of separating lines of cells

Could u explain me how can I do to make the lines into jTable less wide.
    Thanks a lot.

Could u explain me how can I do to make the lines into jTable less wide. The lines between the rows and columns are only 1 pixel wide so I'm not sure how you make them smaller. You can prevent the painting of the lines by using:
    table.setShowGrid(false);
    table.setIntercellSpacing(new Dimension(0, 0));

  • Line width question; Freehand MX

Is it possible to change the line width of all lines in a
    document?
I go to Edit > Select > All In Document.
I go to the Properties box and on the Object tab I try to
click Stroke.---, but it is not active.
    Thanks for the help.

First, let's get the terminology straight. Strokes (not
    lines) can be
    applied to paths.
Find & Replace Stroke Width will only replace stroke
    widths on objects that
are already stroked. It won't add strokes to non-stroked
    objects.
A Hairline stroke is 0.25 pt. wide. If you selected Hairline
    as the low end
of the selection range, then strokes smaller than 0.25 pt.
    will not be
    affected.
Compared with FH9, FHMX adds group-level attributes, so to
    stroke every
object at the path level, you will need to Select All and
    then Subselect
until you have reached the path level. I have set up a custom
    keyboard
shortcut for Edit>Select>Subselect. That allows me to
    drill down below group
    level.
FH users also need to be aware that groups that have been
    scaled after
'Transform as Unit' (TAU) is applied will scale the strokes
    according to the
subsequent transformations. If you have unwittingly applied
    TAU to groups
you may not see the changes you expect from Find &
    Replace Stroke width. I
have unchecked the preference "Groups Transform as Unit by
    Default' and use
the Transform as Unit checkbox in the object panel only when
    required.

  • Measuring Line Width Of Composed Text

    Hi,
In the solutions.pdf of the CS4 SDK, there is a piece of code listed in example 9 that will estimate the width of the text. I tried implementing it as a snippet but upon compiling the code in xcode, I get an invalid static_cast from type IFontInstance* to type const IPMUnknown* that originate from the line of code InterfacePtr<IFontInstance> fontInstance(nil).
I haven't changed any part of the code, and I don't think adobe would post examples of non-working code on a document named solutions.pdf , so I'm betting that I missing something here but I can't figured out what... any hints is highly appreciated... thanks!
    -- Jeff

To procede, omit the "(nil)" argument and you should be fine for that line, or specialize the method in question.
I tried this, but I got error messages pointing to a function that uses the fontInstance pointer. The function is in the form of:
    EstimateStringWidth(WideString run, IFontInstance* fontInstance)
and the error tells me that the line:
         totalWidth += EstimateStringWidth(charBuff, fontInstance);
    has no matching function.
Also, most of the samples in the SDK creates a IFontInstance using an InterfacePtr.
I tried this approach because solutions.pdf suggests this method to estimate text widths... I want to measure the text width of a composed line to determine the raggedness (degree of whitespace left on the end of each line) of a paragraph. But with this issues, am I better off using the GetWidth method of IWaxLine to get the width.
Now, my next question would be, can I get the estimate width of the line if I change the properties of the paragraph, ie. justification settings, without actually composing the text in the ui. I need this so that I can compute for the optimal settings to changed so that the degree of raggedness of the paragraph would be less than the original.
    Thanks again!

  • How to decrease line width in table in smartforms

hi i want to decrease line widht in tabel in smartforms.
    how can i do.
    thanks.

    Hi
The width of the Line Type in a table is decided by table width itself. For example 20cm is the width of the table, then you can divide the table width into number of columns you want. If you want only 2 columns then,
next to the line type..one column width would be 10 and the other would be 10...so If you want to decrease the width of a column in the line type..then you would have to adjust that in the other one.
For example, If 10 and 10 cm each is what you have in your line type, then in the first column you can reduce the width to 5 cm and then increase the other column width to 15cm, in that way the total width of the line type will be equal to that of the table width.
Also, it is not necessary that the line type width should be equal to table width. It can be less also.
You can adjust the width at details tab..here you will have the table line type details like this:
    Line Type                                      1.                         2.
LTYPE1%                                   10.00cm               10.00 cm "here you can reduce the table line width.
    Hope I am clear.
    Regards,
    Vishwa.

  • Line width under 1

I've looked through several different forums and articles about changing the width of the line to under 1 pt and have tried many different methods, such as the commas or language changing in control panel, all not working.  The odd thing about my project is that I have many different shapes on the screen and almost all of them are the correct width, only a couple are not changing and always reverts back to the 1 pt width.  Here's an image, which I hope will help.
All of the other pieces are 0.1 pt while just these are 1 pt.

Nevermind. I figured it out. Its just a shape tween. *kicks

  • How change the width of line programmetically

    Hi all!
I have a problem. Please guide me how it can be handled? The Problem is:-
I want to change the width of a line programmatically when I press the button.
    Waiting for an urgent response.

    What kind of line?
You can create a line with a text_field that has a small height (1) and then use the set_item_property to change its width.

  • How to edit stroke width after line is drawn?

In Flash CS4, I'm trying to change the stroke width of my line or shape, with it selected, but the stroke width slider is greyed out (thus, unadjustable). Is it possible to edit a stroke width after something has been created? If so, how can this be done? I've tried selecting the line in all kinds of crazy ways, but still can't edit it.

I don't have CS4, but in CS3, as long as you're selecting the raw drawn object, you can use either the slider or enter a new value in the box.  When you select the shape and line, does it appear all cross-hatched/speckled or is it a blue line surrounding it all?  If it's the blue line, then you're not down to the raw graphic yet.  You might also want to check to be sure the layer isn't locked.
