Want 2 download pics from facebook

I'm making a surprise book of the university years for my daughter. Have campus pics on disk and loaded on direct from camera and they are fine. But the social life of the past 4 yrs is on facebook and I'd like to include the pics of her with friends socializing. These pics were taken with good cameras and work fine when transferred to iphoto from an email or disk, but when I drag and drop them off facebook to desktop then into iphoto, there's a pixel problem and the quality is too poor to use even when in the smallest frame available in the book. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

No good news for you I’m afraid. Facebook (and the other Social sites are the same) massacre the pics when they are uploaded. The files are compressed to almost nothing, color profile and exif data are thrown away and frankly, they’re useless.

No - you can only import photos into iPhoto - download photos to a desktop folder and then import to iPhoto - note that the quailty of Facebook photos is very low

I do not think that is possible without using ITunes as a "middle man". So I am wondering if there are any applications that I can download pictures to and then Upload them to what ever I want.

If in Mail you download and view the photo, you should then be able to touch and hold the photo and after a couple of seconds or so you should get an option to save the photo - it will then go into your Saved Photos album in the Photos app. There are then a number of apps that allow you to upload to Facebook e.g. Photogene (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/photogene-for-ipad/id363448251?mt=8#) :
Photogene allows you to export several photos at once, and it supports a wide selection of export destinations, including Flickr, Dropbox, Facebook, Twitter, FTP and mail.
There may be free apps as well.

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one.

Is it an iPhone ? If it is and you don't want to go via your computer and iTunes, then the camera connection kit can connect the iPhone to the iPad and can copy photos to the iPad. Also there are photo transfer apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy photos between iOS devices via your wifi network.
If it's not an iPhone then you probably need to go via your computer and sync them via iTunes, or if there aren't that many photos and your phone supports it you can email them to yourself

The photo sync is one-way: Computer to phone. Photos synced to your phone will have to be extracted from your phone using third-party software, if you want them on your computer, as Apple makes no provision to do so. Since you're using a Mac, you can use this:

I just sigend up for Adobe Creative Cloud and I'm trying to install Photo Shop onto my desktop computer. When I click the download button I receive an error message saying "Photoshop is a desktop app so you'll want to download it from your computer." I cannot move forward with the download. In my case it's Illustrator and I'm trying to reinstall it. Clearing the cache and using another browser were no help. When I use IE instead of Chrome, an authentication dialog opens to ask permission for CC Desktop to launch, but when I "Allow" it, all that happens is that the CC app opens and gives no indication of a dowload or installation taking place.
I've always been a strong advocate of CC and was one of the earliest adopters (May 2012), but this is the end of the love affair. I need this fixed immediately. I have work to do. If I had a set-up file sitting on my computer or a disk, I would have no problem right now.

I think my ipod touch is set to camera mode and I need to switch it back. When I hoook it up to my computer it thinks I am hooking up a camera and wants to download pics. It used to read it as an ipod and automatically synch. Now it doesn't do that. HELP

When I first got my ipod, I would hook it up to my computer and it would automatically synch with my itunes. But then I took some pictures with my ipod and downloaded the pics. Now everytime I hook up my ipod to my computer, it reads it as a camera and asks if I want to download pics. It is driving me crazy. I haven't used my ipod as a camera since that one time, and I need to get it back to automatically synching when I hook it up. It's like it is not being recognized as an ipod. Is there something I can do to get my ipod out of camera mode and back to ipod mode. Also, i got a speaker system to hook up my ipod to and it is not "picking up" the ipod when I hook it up. the music will not come out of the speakers and I think again it is an issue of my ipod being in "camera" mode. HELP!!!

I'm using Win7 and just looking to download some CC apps to try. Trying to download the trial from the download centre just turns the button into a message that says "Creative Cloud is a desktop app, so you'll want to download it from your computer", but I'm on my computer? I've tried using other browsers, (IE, Firefox, Chrome) none are working. What to do?

The Creative Cloud app is the one which you install other apps from, you download and install it first, after which the option to install the other apps is available within it. Can you try downloading, installing and launch the Creative Cloud app? It looks like this in the Download Center.
