Want a new creative but nothing fits my spec - he

Hiya, I currently own a 20GB Creative Zen Touch which I have had for 2.5 years. I am very happy with my zen - I've had a few problems with it freezing and crashing my computer when transferring files - but generally it's been durable, easy to use and has a great battery life. However, 20GB isn't really enough space for me - I'm really into my music and get bored easily(!), and my player is currently maxed out on 4,677 tracks (to be precise). Ideally I'd like a player that can handle twice that much (so a 40GB or even a 60GB player).
Unfortunately nothing by Creative seems to fit that spec. Their 60GB vision seems to have been discontinued, as does that 40 and 60GB nomads and jukeboxes. The hgih memory players they do have seem aimed more at playing videos etc - I really just want the player for music, so don't want to be over 00 extra for a fancy colour screen and great graphics which I jsut won't use! I really don't want to abandon Creative for <shudder> iPod or another make, especially as ) I am a PC owner, and 2) want to transfer all my songs from my new to old player as easily as possible. Does anyone have any ideas about what might suit my needs Thanks, Lucy

why does it have to be a zen? they make unresponsi've/crap products and aren't really helpful with them at all. I really hope i can get my money back from them.

For the slowness:
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

Hello. I have premiere elements 12, & tried to open new project, but nothing happened. All you see is a purple & black ribbon. I could open organizer without any problem! I've accepted all the windows 7 updated. I've even updated my graphics drivers.

What I have done so far:
Accepted all windows 7 updates - essential and non esential
I've updated my graphics drivers
I've also deleted and reloaded Premiere Elements from the disc
I reloaded quick time and accepted the latest version
All have no affect.
My system is a windows 7 64 bit PC.
I also have plenty of hard drive space
Cyberlink PowerDirector 11 works fine.
PS - This seems a common complaint about Premiere Elements 12

Look at the issue with and without the antivirus disabled. If that does not help....
There is a likelihood that the program may not be properly activated. Please review the following for possible solution

and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Options Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the whole path cited.
b. Do the uninstall, reinstall with a ccleaner (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) in between the uninstall and reinstall with the antivirus and firewalls turned Off.

Photos icon showing 1 new photo but nothing there!

The new 'Photos' icon shows a new photo but nothing new is there. Is this just a glitch with the 2015 app or should the desktop icon be showing a '1' with the Photos icon?

I am having the same problem mentioned here. I see there is no response to your posting. Have you figured out what is going on yet?
I looked through all my account settings and my email rules. I found a rule that may have been the cause of some of the problem but not all of it. This morning "Mail" indicated it was downloading 17 messages from my POP account but only 4 were in my inbox. The missing 13 are gone for good (into the bit bucket I guess). I know that I am not getting mail from a specific correspondent whose email address is in my address book. I'm at a loss.

Vision: M synchronizing:just wanted my new stuff but now I have copies of everything! 2000 cop

I synchronzed to my computer assuming it would only do my new songs, but now I have two of many songs.
?I racked my brain for what I could do besides deleting each individual song. When I view the media, it just shows one song?!? I don't understand.
I tried taking the media off my creative and putting on my hard dri've. I looked on my hard dri've and yes, it showed only one of each song. I then deleted it off my player. Then put it back on, but the same thing resulted: two of every song for that album. It is driving me crazy!? Does anyone know what is up?

There are three kinds of "stuff" on your machine:
• Mac OS X - System, Library, and the standard Applications, and the hidden unix files
• Applications you added - these will mostly be in Applications, maybe a few in Utilities
• User files: These will be ONLY in the subdirectory off /Users with your login name -- nowhere else..
There are two kinds on "getting rid of it". Tilde ( ~ ) represents your username.
• I am keeping my machine under my control, I just don't want that stuff in my face.
For this, you can drag the contents of a few folders inside you Users folder to the Trash.
1) /Users/~/Documents
2) /Users/~/Downloads
3) /Users/~/Pictures
4) /Users/~/Music
5) /Users/~/Movies
• I am changing this machine to different ownership, and I want that stuff unrecoverable:
The most secure is to completely erase the Hard Drive and choose security option Zero out data, one pass. This takes several hours. You will then have to re-Install Mac OS X and any Applications you added.
Slightly less secure is to erase what you want to get rid of, then "Erase Free Space" with overwrite with Zeroes, one pass. Take somewhat less time, but there is a tiny possibility something might get re-used before it gets over-written.

New T400 but nothing much works... Installed all drivers but...

It is starting to feel a bit strange. New install Vista Business and Office 2007.
Downloaded every last bit of drivers from Lenovo but nothing but crap.
* Wireless card is not seen by system (switch is turned on)
* Power Management does not work, only on and off...
* Fingerprint reader is not seen by system
* ThinkVantage-button does not work at all
* No Fn-keys show on-screen (battery, sleep, wireless etc)
I get about four-five error messages after booting and logging in, all from Display (default), Communication-driver.
Yesterday I called Sweden, closed for Lenovo calls, referred to USA who said "Sorry, no support, must call Sweden...." NOT COOL AT ALL LENOVO!!!
Has anyone got one of these T400 to actually work?? Will consider return if not fixed this week..
Please guide me if you know what's wrong!

My laptop (win7 2ghz, 1gig) has 100% cpu usage with itunes installed (even when not running itunes) since the upgrade. i had to uninstall. tried installing but still the same problem. my daughter wants the new ipad, but this is a serious problem.

when itunes upgraded my laptop went to 100% cpu usage. only solution was uninstall. have tried itunes again as my daughter wants the new ipad. still same problem tho so not keen to spend £400 on new pad without pc support. anyone help? (ps been using ipod touches 1 and 2, been great source of pleasure for my two girls, but cant sync them, so using the little shuffles for music, syncing to an old version of itunes on an old netbook - had the sense to switch off upgrades when the new version went wrong)

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

How do you get everything off the ipod into Library on new laptop & free up the space that was used when transferring (using ipod as hard drive to move over to new computer)? Also when try to sync music a box pops up saying are you sure as everything on the ipod will be removed & replaced with the items in the library but at the moment there's nothing in the library so don't want to lose everything?! These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

That setting is for turning on iTunes Match, if you are an iTunes Match subscriber. (iTunes Match is a separate service you can pay to subscribe to which will allow you to access your music library from iCloud - see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/. When it is turned on, all music on the device is deleted and must then be accessed through your iTunes Match account.)
To turn on iCloud, you go to Settings>iCloud, turn it one and provide you Apple ID with a verifiable email address. See http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.

Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
Click to view full size
launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.
If Roddy's suggestions fail to help continue with this:
1 - open iPhoto and select a couple of photos.
2 - use the Share ➙ iWeb ➙ Photo page menu option.
Give it a couple of tries if the first one doesn't help.

Melted Neo2 Platinum, new Neo4, but nothing

I came home to the smell of burnt plastic and a silent computer. Part of the Neo2 Platinum next to the Firewire pins (unused) had melted. I've RMAed the Neo2, and since installed a Neo4. The DLEDs start and stop at GRRG. I get nothing on the screen. I've swapped in hard drives I know to be good, and an old Matrox Millenium II known to be good, and still I get nothing. Any ideas?

Your GRRG description of D-Bracket is unclear. Please use the naming system from the thread above 1, 2, 3, 4 going from top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right. Do you mean 1G,2R,3Rand 4G? [Bios sign on?] The thread gives diagnostics, but they are not infallible. Did you reset cmos properly (pulling plug from psu, etc. until you finished hitting the cmos reset switch/jumper) before you started the build?
Did you have any other problems or wierd system behavior before the fire?
