Want Ability to Fade Plug-In FX Within LR

I use Topaz Adjust and I can access it either from LR or PS. What Topaz recommends (and what I do) is to duplicate the base layer in PS, apply the Plug-in effect to the duped layer, and then use opacity slider to modulate the effect. I can also opt to use the "Fade" function in the Edit menu using just the base layer. This works well. If I access Topaz Adjust from LR, I make the effect, and it is applied to the TIFF, but the full effect strength is baked in to the new file. It would be great if I could alter the opacity of the plug-in I just used from within LR. I'd really appreciate the same type of "Fade" effect you can use in Photoshop after using your plug-in; don't care if you can't alter it after committing to the fade.

No.
Create a single path. Give it a fill and a thick stroke of another color. In the Appearance Palette, select the Stroke. In the Transparency Palette, reduce its opacity.
Then take a day off to recuperate from all the tedious palette-hopping.

i want to Generate custom logs with Log4J within Java Embedding activity. For that i have performed some steps, but the log file has not been created.
ServerSide Configuration:

1. I have copied the log4j-1.2.15.jar file to the "oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1" location and recreate the oracle.soa.ext.jar file using an-script, which appends the log4j.jar file to the classpath.( That was created successfully)
2. Specify a File location in log4j.xml for creating the log file. (e.g. (<middleware_home>/config/customLog.log)
3. Then create a folder and add log4j.xml and log4j.dtd file under the folder.
4. Modify the startManagedWeblogicServer by adding JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dlog4j.configuration=<middleware_home>/config/log4j.debug.xml”
5. Then restart the SOA server.

I have used fileAppender.
DevelopmentSide Configuration:

1. Create synchronous BPEL process and Add "JAVA Embedding Activity" inbetween receiveInput and replyOutput activity.
2.Import the log4j-1.2.15.jar to the project libs
3.In the BPEL source code, import the Logger class.
4.Insert the code in the JAVA Embedding Activity
Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("CustomLog");
logger.info("CustomeLog " + getTitle());
Compile and deploy the project into the SOA_server and test it. Test status is completed but log is not created in the mentioned location.

I want to link to a specific place within a document from Captivate4

Hi all,
I want to link to a specific place within a document from Captivate4.
I have no trouble linking to the beginning of a document; however I want to be able to link to a specific chapter/area of a document I am creating. My plan is that as people progress through the e-learning they can link back to the electronic manual I am creating from where they left off.
I have a workaround of creating separate documents and linking to them, but this is time consuming and messy.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do; I have looked around the forums and, unless I am blind, can't find anything like I am looking for.

I made a mistake some how. I am not the best a computer new things like the new avg changes with the search. I want back my old menu bar. I want to be able to open a new tab without having a search window open. I don't like to new tiny "file at the top it doesn't help me. I want back the ability to click the little refresh button. How do I go back to what I had before??

Ability to fade to transparency in a gradient

This is actually 1 of 2 long-overdue features that would be knocked out with only one addition: the ability to define colors in RGBA or ARGB format.
The other problem that this would fix is that if you want a polygon with a 10% white fill and a 100% white border, you would no longer need to create two separate shapes -- one for the line and one for the fill (setting the transparency level for each object separately); instead, you would have just one polygon with a 255/255/255/25.5 fill color and a 255/255/255/255 stroke color.
The problem is how alpha is specified in Illustrator. It applies to the entire object, when it should apply to the individual colors themselves.

HT1386 I have just had to reinstall Windows and will need to put iTunes back on it. I was unable to back-up my library file beforehand so I want to know if plugging my iPod Classic into iTunes will wipe everything from it, or will iTunes sync with what's

Obviously I do not want to have to resubscribe to Podcasts (though it wouldn't be TOO much of a hassle) or reupload all my music/CDs (rather more of a hassle) if I can help it.
If anyone knows whether I can get away without having to reupload everything then I would be grateful for the information

Quit iTunes.
Copy the entire /My Music/iTunes/ folder from your backup to /My Music/.
Launch iTunes.
Since it is the same library (not just the same music) it will work fine.
That is all you need to do.

IPhone 5c keeps turning on passcode lock without doing anything! We don't want to have to plug it on and wipe it again (all since iOS 7.1 update)

Basically my sister updated her iPhone 5c to iOS 7.1, before this she has a passcode on it,
She then took the passcode off, after the 7.1 update. Yesterday it randomly put a passcode back on so she tried the ones she had used before and the usual 1,2,3,4,, 0000 ect. But nothing worked, so aft being locked out for 2 hours she had to plug it into the computer and wipe it,
So after setting the phone back up with no passcode, this morning it happened again, we have tried the usual numbers again, and tried resetting it (so turning it off and on, and holding the lock and home screens to reset) now there is no point blanking her phone again if it's just going to happen again later, and I have had to surrender my iPhone to her temporarily (which I have never had a passcode on, and hasn't had any issues)!
What can we do, beyond traveling an hour to take it back to apple!

The passcode is coming from the backup file. She must not have removed it as was thought. You will either have to restore the phone as new, or restore to a backup file before the passcode was added. By the way, is this an employer provided phone? If it is, the passcode requirement may be a policy they've implemented.

Are we going to get the ability to fade or make photos transparent again? This was my most used Picture Frame application for the teaching slides I create.

Even Powerpoint has this feature. Why would Apple dum down this previously powerful piece of software that made creating soft teaching slides so much fun?

I just dragged in an image from the desktop (using the Black theme) and, in the pane over to the right, it shows "Border" as "No Border". I click on that and I get to choose "Line" or "Picture Frame". Is Picture Frame what you're looking for?
Additionally, the "ragged edges" is there, too. Change to the Renaissance theme, set an image to have ragged edges, swich back to the theme you want to use, then, with that object selected, under "Styles" add this to your list of styles by clicking the PLUS sign.

I don't want 'Automatic audio fade' for each clip

hmm, well, I like it but some member at my German board noticed, that any new clip has its (short) audio-fade-in.
You can set to 'Manual/0 sec' ... but for each clip, not as a 'preset' for all.
any expert any idea, which internal plist to edit to set that 'fix' to a 0-sec-fade?
haven't found any ...

Ability to patch SAP by Module within Core R/3 ECC

A couple of years ago, SAP came out with a statement that in future releases we'd have the ability to 'patch' and / or 'upgrade' the core R/3 modules separately
For example -
You could patch the SD module only
We're on NW2004 ECC 5.0 and I sure don't see this ability to exist - still see the APPL, BASIS, HR support packs without any regard for a specific module (other than HR)
Thoughts anyone?

sorry to tell you, but this was perhaps a good "sales gag", but the way is more ore less going the other way around:
This is not possible right now and not "forseeable" at least not for "SD" or "FI" in an ECC system. Perhaps in future for BW in an ERP system. But even this is unlikely because of the basis & kernel dependcies.
Because of the support package stacks (if you like them or not) - the idea of SAP is totally the other way around, because they found out, that only this way it "stays more or less" maintainable ...

It should be given the appropriate authorization adobe. We need to understand the process of development and publishing plug-ins as well as expenses that may arise here.

Did Apple take away our ability to swipe back and forth within a Safari window?

Before the upgrade, I was able to swipe back and forth on the same window. After the upgrade, I can't swipe back and forth, but can only use the tiny left and right arrow keys in the toolbar (click only). I looked on system preferences, and the ability to swipe back and forth has been taken away. Is this a problem for anyone else?
Moreover, scrolling has been reversed. Rather than dragging my finger down to scroll down, I drag my finger down to scroll up. Is there a way for Apple to change this?

Swipe left or right SLOWLY with two fingers to move between pages.
The new, reversed, scrolling is called "Natural". Dragging your fingers down drags the page down, as with the iPhone or iPad. You can turn off Natural scrolling in the Mouse or Trackpad system preference if you can't get used to it.

SQL>call dbms_java.set_output(....);
but when i test it within the jdeveloper9.0.3,it can't be print,why?

Since Last CC Update Photoshop has lost the ability to CTRL click on layer within group??

Weird little glitch is happening since the latest update of CC. Can anyone else confirm that they are having this issue:
1. Create a group with a bunch of different layers
2. Select any tool (besides the direct selection tool)
3. Now press CTRL to try and select a layer and move it within the group.
You will notice that it moves the whole group and not just the selected layer...it does not select the layer. My Direct Selection Tool is set to "Layer" not "group"....so that is not the issue here.
This is annoying...does adobe know about this?

Okay, found the fix.
With the Move tool selected, go to the Options toolbar at the top (below file menu) and change the drop down menu to Layer instead of Group. Voila!
