Want desktop version instead of mobilr

I. want the regular desktop version of Firefox on my android and can't find how to do it. iI do not like the mobile version. it is difficult to maneuver and clicking desktop view in settings change anything. also iI have an add-on that will not work with the mobile version.

You can't get the desktop version of Firefox on Android, it's not possible. However, update your version of Firefox to 22, as it's better than 17

    I just installed LR CC and am having trouble opening catalogs where I followed the instructions to upgrade.  Just posted a question about it.
    Discovered a problem when I went looking for some images that were not included in the most recent catalog.  After opening up a couple of older ones and upgrading, I went back to the most recent and couldn't opening.  Message says it is not writable.  And also says it may be due to incorrect permissions.  If you have any suggestions for this, I would love to hear them.

    agree with all of you guys... i also have a terrible issue... when i select a song in my main playlist the title doesnt mach with the song selected, progam show next song instead of the selected one.... no words

    After updating Spotify on Windows today, here's a list of things about the latest version I consider disimprovements:
    - column widths are not adjustable anymore (Why? Just why?)
    - the "Play" and "Plus" buttons left to the "SONG" column in front of every song are a waste of space to me and should be concealable
    - waste of space in general (Why has the gray bar on top with the search bar in it become so big?)
    - everything is too big (I'm aware of the new zoom feature, I mean everything around the playlist window) --> the spaces between everything
    (I have a normal screen resolution of 1920x1080 and still find that the gaps between buttons and text take too much space)
    - there's no search feature in playlists anymore
    --> I used to be able to hit any letter on my keyboard and I would jump to a certain track (also depending on which column I sorted the tracks by); this and a search feature/filter with ctrl+f should be standard
    I'm on version 1.0.1.1060.gc75ebdfd
    Less is not more when it comes to usability on PC. This rule of thumb may apply on smartphones and tablets but it's wrong to conclude that PC users want zero options, too. The layout for the desktop version should be way more functional (at least as much as it used to be).
    I would love as many options as possible to customize not only the layout but any feature provided.

  • How do I unblock a contact in the desktop version ...

    I'm trying to get Skype working on my desktop (Windows 8.1 Pro). I am NOT a Skype user, I've downloaded the Skype desktop version onto my laptop (also a Windows 8.1 Pro machine), and have my daughter trying it from her account. However, I've discovered that somehow, in some way and some point in time, I've blocked her. I've no idea how that happened, when that happened, nor why that happened; but it is that way. So then I tried searching for help on these and other forums. The instructions all say to go into Tools | Options | Privacy | Blocked Contacts. OK, I've done that, and I actually see my daughter's account there, clearly in the Blocked People list box. But then the instructions clearly say that you're to select someone in the list box and then click on the "Unblock this person" button.
    That is a lie. 100% false. Never going to happen. The universe will come to an end before this works.
    The reason for that is because when I select my daughter's profile in the list box (or anyone else that I have in that list box) the "Unblock this person" button never, ever becomes enabled! And how am I supposed to re-enable anyone if that button just sits there useless?
    I did, however find one other uncomplete possibility. From within Skype I selected my daugther's profile, and it informs me that she's blocked. And then it says, "If you want to chat, unblock them fr...", and that's it, folks, as Elmer Fudd would say. No more instructions, no more help, nothing. If clicked on the link and that took me to people.live.com; but what am I supposed to do once I get there? Instructions that say only "unblock them fr" is not at all helpful!
    So, I've got only 2 answers that I've been able to find, one by search which is either a lie or is now disabled (for some reason), and another which is an incomplete instruction set. And people wonder why more people don't use Skype? Well, if tasks were accurate and complete, maybe more people would!
    So I'm asking you all, how do you unblock a contact that is blocked? What are the correct instructions that actually work?

  • Desktop Version of 8.1 is not working

    I'm using windows 8.1 where skype is installed with the operating system. But that has a problem as when I go to any other windows skype does not wor. That's why I wanted to install desktop version.
    I've installed the letest version of Skype desktop but it's not working. Even I'm unable to log in also.

  • How to ALWAYS open links in new tabs on IE10, desktop version? Settings Internet Options Tabs seems incomplete......

    Hello, I know variations of this question have been asked already, but I'm not finding answers that seem to actually work.
    For example, if I click on a link in my Favorites Bar or in my Favorites, they open in the already open tab, not in a new tab.
    This is not the case for Firefox; in FF they always open in a new tab. In previous versions of IE there were plugins that enabled this feature, but in IE10, Desktop version, all we seem to have are the tab options in settings. I have tried setting it
    to always open in new tabs, and in new a new window, but nothing works.
    Please don't mention keyboard shortcuts, as that doesn't seem intuitive; who wants to remind themselves to use the shortcut every time?
    And yes, I know I could go back to FF, but I'm not a quitter! I want to like IE10, and I'm willing to give it a chance in spite of a few shortcomings.
    Is there a plugin or registry hack to really really really make IE10 ALWAYS open links in new tabs?

    As far as I know, the behaviors of clicking some links are different due to how they are designed for some websites; there should be some purposes about why they are designed in such
    way. There might be no other way to achieve this in Internet Explorer. Please understand that Internet Explorer and Firefox are different, such as on how they are designed and how they work; and Firefox needs an add-on to do this.
    In Internet Explorer, there are many shortcut keys to reduce the operations and make it easier to use; I think you can have a try. I would like to share the following with you for your reference:

  • I cannot get the desktop version to open.

    I am on a Mac running OS 10.10 (Yosemite). I was able to access Story in Chrome and sign in successfully. I downloaded the desktop version which required updating Air (which I did) and now when I launch Story on my Mac I get message saying that the application needs to update. So I try to update it but I get a message that says:
    "Sorry, an error has occurred.
    The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem.  The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid.  Please contact the application author."
    Then I click Close and it relaunches the Story launch screen and again the update pop-up pops up and if I click later the pop-up goes away. If I then try to sign in (I am a CC subscriber) I get an error that reads:
    "Error
    Failed to connect to services. Do you want to login in offline mode?" No or Yes
    I click Yes and nothing happens.
    The online version seems to work in Chrome but I am really more interested in the desktop version. I realize this software is classified as beta but I'd still expect it to function at least a little bit. Right now I can't use the desktop version at all. I'd appreciate any help.

    It seems like you already have an old installation of Story.
    You will have to remove it first before installing the latest one.
    So the steps would be:
    - Open 'Applications' folder in finder and move 'Adobe Story' app to Trash. Remove it from Trash too.
    - Search 'Adobe Story' in Spotlight to make sure that this application is not installed on a different drive. If installed then remove that version too.
    - Now download the latest version and install it. ( you can download the installer directly from: https://story.adobe.com/AIR/AdobeStory.air )

    Thank for for your suggestions. Unfortunately they are of little help. I am running on Snow Leopard and the PalmDesktop works fine. However, I do not want to quit my PalmTungsten unit as it is my backup for all my important access information. If it cannot run on Mavericks and no other solution is at hand, I simply will not update my OS X, but work on my Snow Leopard as it is.
    I do not know how on earth I can migrate the information from my Palm into another system, and then quit the PalmPilot. If you have any intelligent solutions to this I would appreciate an input. A manual copy and paste solution is not acceptable. I may however run it on Windows via Parallel Desktop, but it is a lousy solution, and demonstrates (again) the weakness of Apple's OS and lack of compatibility. I am not impressed by the OS X performance.

  • Is this a bug for CTI Toolkit Agent desktop (Version 7.5.10510)

    Today I have found a strange thing with CTI Toolkit Agent desktop (Version 7.5.10510). One agent is logged in on CTI Toolkit agent desktop with his Agent ID (5101) to an extension 999111. Then from other PC another agent is also able to login on CTI Toolkit agent desktop with same Agent ID (5101) to the same extension 999111. Tough they are logged in with same agent ID and extension number from different PC but it is not desired that 2 person can login with same Agent ID and extension at a same time.
    Can any one tell me that is this a bug or normal procedure.

  • Apple Remote Desktop version 3.5.1. to version 3.5.2

    I originally purchased Apple Remote Desktop version 3.5.1 from the App Store.  Apparently Apple Remote Desktop version 3.5.2 has been released.  Guess what???  The App Store does not have the update for version 3.5.2.  I downloaded the update from the Apple Support Downloads page and installed.  Guess what???  Apple Remote Desktop is still at version 3.5.1.
    I originally recommended to my mother to purchase a MacBook Pro and I could remote to her computer to undo anything that she has done...laugh.  At almost 70 years old, it's a challenge...  I was able to remote to her computer for a while and now can't.  I guess version 3.5.2 was supposed to fix this issue.  She has ARD version 3.5.2 on her computer.  We both have Lion version 10.7.3 installed as well. 
    How am I supposed to get the update for verson 3.5.2 installed?  Why doesn't the App Store have the update?  Am I not doing something correctly?
    Any suggestions would be helpful and I thank you in advance.

    If your mom had any kind of issue with her internert connection, Her ISP might have her reset the modem. Some times a power outage can cause a  modem to revert to default settings. And any time it a modem is reset to defaults the modem has to be re-configured for ARD. 
    ARDAgent is the OS built-in tool for remote viewing / controlling the screen. If you want to SSH in, you need enable remote Management Login on your moms computer. (it's in system prefrences, sharing) If you do SSH, ARDAgent can be access from the command line to start/stop/restart and reconfigure ARDAgent. But just like ARD, you need the right ports open on your moms firewall/router to make the connection.
    You could check to make sure the firewall is off on your moms computer.  (system prefrences, securty, firewall tab) you could have her uncheck Remote Management and recheck it to restart the ARDAgent service.  (system prefrences, sharing)
    If your moms IP address changes frequently. You could look into a subscription service like DYNdns. It requires software on your moms computer, but basicaly it report to the DYNdns server what ever your mom's current IP address is. And in turn give you a DNS address you can use to contact your moms firewall. some thing like mom.dyndns.com. Even with DYNdns, you may find you need to delete and re-add your moms computer from ARD to connect.
    logmein dosen't require DYNdns or port configuration. Because it reports into the logmein servers so there no ports need to be opened.
    If you talk to your moms ISP. They would need to open the ports 5900 for UDP and TCP. Along with 3283 for UDP and TCP. MAlong with 22 for TCP (SSH and file transfer). And of corse when they open the ports they need to route to your moms computer consistently.
    I'm surprised they would help you with this. I don't think my ISP would be as acomidating.
