Want to adjust text boxes while creating a book ????
I am trying to create my first book. I need more space for text in different areas and none of the layouts fit what i am trying to do. Is there any way to customize the text boxes??
There is no way to increase the size of the text boxes but you can create your own page layout in another application, do a print to PDF/Save PDF to iPhoto and use that in a full page layout where the image file is the background.
The following are two very crude examples of using your own layout: landscape - portrait.
With a good image editor or an application like Pages you can create a page layout that very closely matches the book's theme.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Keep getting an error message that reads, "LR An error has occurred while creating the book on Blurb" An error has occurred while trying to create texts and fonts. Pleas advise as Blurb has said that it's a LR issue.

What is the device that is immediately plugged into the main modem or router? Has that one been able to update?
It is plugged in of course isn't it.. no nasty join wireless anywhere??
The best way to work around these sort of problems is to simplify the network.. Plug each device directly into the main router.. by ethernet. You can trigger the firmware upgrade by wireless but use ipad or iphone version of airport utility and see what happens. -
Why Are the Text Boxes I Create in a Layout Not Editable When I Add Them?
I've made some chapter and section layouts and in the layouts panel when I select them the text boxes are red and editable. But when I apply the layout to a page in my book, everything is greyed out. Nothing is locked, but now my layouts are useless.
Have anyone else had this issue? Am I just creating the text boxes incorrectly? What's the problem?I figured it out but this is a HUGE gotcha for anyone else this happens to.
While editing layouts, there is an option in the Layout Tab in the Inspector called "Editable on Pages Using This Layout". This MUST be checked for each object you want to change in the pages you add to a book. -

i want to dispaly a popup message while creating PO(me21n),pop up should be trigger when we try to save two different plants in the item level while creating PO. for this purpose i have used enchancement mm06e005 and FM EXIT_SAPMM06E_016.
i want to pass this message to standard message in me21n
transaction and should get the message in dialog box
user should not able to save PO until he corrects the plants in item level.

You have to check 1st this user-exit is triggering or not while saving the P.O.
If it triggers then you can put the code what you want. The message type should be Error type why becuase then only it won't allow further until it correct.

Want to attach files in while creating an order (VA01)
Hi All,
Can you please let me know what settings can be done to enable us to attach files while creating the sales orders (VA01).
I know that if i add the "SD_SWU_ACTIVE" to the user profile than i can do the same in VA02 & VA03 but i want these option in VA01 also.
Also i just wanted to know the "Printer" icon in the main screen of VA01will print the screen or will print the output? Also currently i see its greyed out,how can we activate that too........

printer icon? You mean Menu->System-List ->print?
This works only if you have a list displayed on your screen. -

I am trying to Create a Subscription from a windows service and provided all authentication as Anonymous. Added the Web Reference of reporting service 2008 as 'http://ServerName:Port(80)/ReportServer/ReportService2005.asmx' and execution service as

According to your description, the error "Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'.The request failed with an empty response." is thrown out when you create a subscription for a report with PowerShell.
In your scenario, please check if you could access the report server and create a subscription in report manager. Then you should make sure all parameters within CreateSubscription method are right. If issue persists, please try to use Fiddler to monitor
local request and received response message. Please refer to this document to use this tool:

SAP Standard Menu Text missing while Creating Role in PFCG
All:
I am having a weird issue to where the "SAP Standard Menu Text" is missing when creating a role in PFCG and using the "Copy Menu > From SAP Menu" function.
When I click the button I get the following:
1) Popup of the SAP standard menu tree
2) The area for the folders where there should be text is missing
- appears as the " [ ] " symbols
3) "[ ]" symbols appears through entire menu tree for folders and transactions.
Any ideas?

Basically as above, i opened a new tab to search for an article and as i was typing the cursor jumped out of the box without my realising. I placed the cursor back in the box and started but no characters appeared. I tried the URL bar and again nothing. I opened Chrome and it worked fine so clearly something ive managed to do but i have no idea what!
I didn't use any shift, alt or ctrl buttons accidentally. I have tried shutting FF down and reopening but nothing.
Can anyone help please?

You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Creating a background fill in a text box

Thanks!Yes. Make sure you're using Area Type, then select the Area type bounding box and assign a fill color. Use the Direct Selection tool so you select only the type box, not the type itself.
You can also create a background color with Point Type by adding another fill attribute to the type, in the Appearance palette, then using "Effect>Convert to Shape" to convert it to a rectangle or oval. You can then move it behind the "Character" level in the Appearance panel and assign it a color. This method allows the flexibility of defining margins around the text. -
How to retreive the value of a text box that is created dynamically

Create a counter and increment it every time when it comes to rs.next
Set ids for the text box with the value of the counter.
eg: textbox1 , textbox2
the 1 and 2 shld be created by the counte just append the count value to the string and set it as id of the new text box dinamically created.
then get the ement by id and get its value and do the process. -
Photoshop deletes the security text while creating a web-gallery
Hi!
I unintendedly must have changed some settings in my photoshop 7, as the security text adding while creating a web-gallery doesn't work anymore.
The steps for creating a web-gallery I go through and finally choose the text to appear on every picture. However, while creating the web-gallery, photoshop automatically first adds the text, then deletes the text layer so that at the end no text appears on the picture, when the web-gallery is ready.
Can someone help me? I am trying to fix it for the last two weeks and I am sure it's got a very simple reason.

Now here are the steps the Photoshop goes while creating a photo gallery. After I'Ve chosen the presettings (image sizes, security settings etc.)
1) Open
2) Type Tool (here it types the security text onto the picture)
3) Rotate
4) Select Canvas
5) Align Bottom Edges
6) Align Right Edges (Because I asked to place the text at the bottom-right corner)
7) Move (Moves the text to the corner)
8) Deselect
9) Delete Layer
10) Image Size
For what the hell it makes the step 9, where it deletes the layer, which is practically the text? First it puts the text onto the picture, then it deletes it again.
