Want to BootCamp, add external HD and go to OS 10.6. Questions

I've got a MacBook Pro that I bought off Ebay while in Afghanistan, so I'm trying to plan this out and do this all at one time.
The MacBook Pro is 2.16 GhZ, 15", 2 Gigs of RAM and 250 G of HD. What I want to do is: dual boot, add external hard drive and upgrade to Snow Leopard. I've overloaded it with music and only have about 48 gig left.
Questions are: What order should I do this? Are there ramifications of the type of external HD used relative to dual booting? What is the easiest way to install (meaning, OS 10.6 first, then boot camp, or other way)?
I found on Walmart's website a Mac specific HD that is the Mac formatting, but I don't want to find out I can't access it when booting as a PC. I want to keep vital files. Also, I want to set up time machine. I have an iMac at home later and so I'm also debating on a Network Drive as the external, but since I'm using a wireless network on base (that I don't control) I don't know how I'll set it up.
Also, I got no disks with this Mac. I do have disks at home, but it'd be impossible to get my wife to find them and ship them out. I need to know EXACTLY which version of Windows is the easiest. There are "Haji" shops out here where you can buy full windows install disks very "inexpensively".

I can't help with everything, but a few ideas for you:
You need increased storage. You're getting down to the minimum free space you should have on your HD, so I'd clean up the HD first (installing a larger capacity would be even better).
After that, I'd run Repair Disk from my install disc, but given you don't have it (you should really try to get ahold of one), at least do a boot into Safe Mode and/or run fsck. You could also clone your HD to the external, and run Repair Disk from Disk Utility on that.
When you get the external HD (I'd get at least 1TB, but 1.5 or 2 would be nicer yet! ), partition it as GUID with at least 2 partitions (I'd do 3) and format all but one of the partitions Mac OS Extended (Journaled). I do not run Boot Camp/Windows, so I'm not sure what you need for that, but I would save 1 partition for Windows (format it as FAT32 or ?)
On one of the Mac Partitions, set up and run Time Machine backups. On another, I would do full clones (SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner) on a periodic, maybe weekly basis, and do one before messing with anything on your HD. The third would be Windows stuff, out of my league.
Now that you're safely backed up, I would run Repair Disk (yes, again), Repair Permissions, and upgrade to 10.6 (and repair permissions after upgrade).
Sorry I can't help with everything, but hope that gives you some ideas. For the Boot Camp/Windows stuff, I would post over in the forums for that.

Here my problem is now I am getting the table values as output in the Jsp.
In Jsp I want to create Button when I click that button I need to display an external window and display the table data what ever is available that will display new external pdf.
I have developped the applcation by using of the three files table.java,tablebean.java,table.jsp and in portalapp.xml cretated the component.
Now how can I perform my action in that existed Jsp page and how to display extenal window i that how to generate the PDF.
I am in learning stage in this.
please elobarate with atleast some snippests.

Remove "Add New Instance" and "Remove New Instance" Entity buttons

Hi,
While Adding new Entity, "Add New Instance" and "Remove New Instance" buttons will be displayed.
I don't want to display "Add New Instance" and "Remove New Instance" because by default i have created instances. I am able to disable it but i don't want to display at all.
For "Add New Instance" , one-to-one, Automatically disabled by OPA
For "Remove New Instance" added below code in ButtonControl.vm:

Please tell me how to not display these two buttons.

Hi Sri and Patrick,
There's no out-of-the-box configuration to hide the Add/Remove Instance buttons from entity collect screens in Web Determinations. However, this requirement can be achieved through Custom Properties. This requires a technical person to create the custom property, which the rulie then attaches to the Rule Project. The technical person also needs to modify the velocity template which renders the entity collect screens so that it will remove the Add/Remove buttons on any entity collect control where the custom property is set to True.
I can't advise on exactly how to write the custom property or edit the velocity template (I'm a functional expert, not a programmer), but the OPA Developer Help should have guidance. Try searching on ‘custom property’. From the rulie perspective, have a look at this article for how to attach a custom property to the project and to the particular screen control:

Just copy Users/yourusername/Music/iTunes (containing your library-files) to your external drive as well as that (extaernal) folder that contains all your audio-tracks.

In other words, if the external hard drive was connected, you could listen, drag/drop, and edit the files. When I tried the same thing with my new MacBook... it actually started coping the files to my MacBook harddrive. I don't want that, it's millions and millions of mp3's that I don't want to keep on my computer, only my external hard drive. Can anyone help? Get an external optical drive and follow the Boot Camp Installation instructions.
By the way, Windows 8.1 is not yet supported by Boot Camp.

How to add external images onto a control and still be able to resize

Hello,
I'm a LabVIEW newbie. I'm trying to customize the appearance of my VIs, and one of the things I like to do is to import external image and paste it onto the faceplate of the gauge indicator. I've followed the instruction in the Labview application note using the control editor and was able to paste the picture into indicator. But when I use it in the front panel and resize the gauge indicator, the image (added as a decoration) doesn't resize together with the indicator. My questions are:
1. How to add external images onto a control/indicator and still be able to resize the image automatically when I resize the control/indicator?
2. How to "add" a new part to an existing control/indicator? It looks like I can only customize/modify the existing parts of the control/indicator in the control editor.

1/ Do not use the image as an added decoration. Instead replace part of the control with the image. Tis is illustrated in the attached vi : the arrow was pasted as a decoration, and also used to replace the slide cursor. Changing the control size do not affect the decoration, but changes the cursor.
2/ What do you mean by adding new parts to a control. We have just seen that it was possible to modify a control. Now, if you want to include additionnal functionnality, that's another story. You can replace parts of the control, and this can give interesting results. You can edit a slide control, and replace the numeric indicator by another control, including a numeric indicator, that you can replace with etc...
But there, it still the same info displayed under different forms. If you want to have several independant functions on the same control, such as a string display and a boolean and a numeric indicator, then that's a job for a cluster...

I want all my ebook in a external HD and no in de HD of my Mac

Greatings, I have all my ebook (Pdf, epub...) In a external HD, and I still want it in that way, but when I add a new ebook to my library automatic copy this file to ˜/Document/iBooks/Books . In iTunes If you dont want to Mp3 go to the HD just uncheck the "Keep my Library Organize" but I cant find this option in iBooks App.
I want to keep all my eBooks in the external HD and I dont want to use space in my Mac to store again the books.

As I said, I don't use Time Machine, so it'd be best to wait for an "expert" answer, but, with my very limited knowledge, I'd say: probably not - so, for now, I'd suggest you read up on Time Machine:

In addition to pixel density, you are up against the translation driver card in the TV.
If you read the fine print of computer-resolution-capability in the TV user guide, you will see a chart as tall as the manual page. At the top is the smallest resolution capable, at the bottom is the full use of the 1080p in the TV.
Mac falls into the top 25% of the page, maxing out at 1366x768 often. This is because the TV control card is expected to do too much of the work, but is not designed for computer-monitor processing.
I looked at the resolution charts on 2 TVs before deciding to buy a 1080p LCD monitor that has a TV interface/connector. Computer monitor first, TV second. But the thing is only 27 in. Good thing TV is not as important to me as it is to others.

Yes, you can add your own videos to iTunes, then sync them to your nano, subject to supported max resolution limit and file type. The specs for the 7th gen nano says (I don't know which nano model you have), Video Format Support

So, "HD" video is too high resolution, so iTunes will not sync such videos to the iPod (although they play in iTunes). If you are asking how to set up iTunes to sync videos in general (regardless of source), please post back.

Are you using the "motion path" behavior? If so just duplicate it and drag it down the timeline to where you want it to start. Trim it to end at the end of the project. The gap you leave in the timeline between the two behaviors is your hold time. Not sure why you are using a camera unless you have a behavior on the camera.If you are using keyframes just set two keyframes at the same position values in the inspector for the hold time.
