Want to change Adobe Premiere to my new iMac

Does anyone know if I can change my account so it works on my iMac instead of my MIcrosoft computer?

Cloud License allows 2 activations http://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms.html
-Install on a 2nd computer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1452292?tstart=0
-Windows or Mac does not matter... 2 on the same operating system, or 1 on each
-Both computer Cloud subscriptions may not be in use at the same time

Deactivate it on your old computer, then download / install it on your new computer and activate it with your serial number.
Download links are on this page https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

    Hi Ianpce,
You need to download and install Adobe Acrobat on the new machine to use it.
You can use the same subscription or the serial number to activate the product.
    Thanks

Works the same way. Download the CC app and install it, then take it from there after signing in. Sign out on the old machine, if you no longer use it.

  • I bought a license for Lr a few years back and installed it on a mac laptop.  I want to move that license to my new iMac and remove it from my old laptop. How?  Thanks!!!

I bought a license for Lr a few years back and installed it on a mac laptop.  I want to move that license to my new iMac and remove it from my old laptop. How?
I downloaded Lr on the new iMac but there does not seem to be a way of "registering" the software to give it functionality.
    Thanks!!!

    Your Lightroom License key is,
    1. Cross platform Mac and or Win.
    2. It is a single user / owner.
    3. You can have two installations active with one in use at any point in time.
    4. There is no deactivate process like other Photoshop products.
    5. You can uninstall / install as many times as you need as long as you keep the spirit of the license.
    6. The license key is specific to the Lightroom version, i.e License key for LR 4 will not work for LR 5.
    7. You can upgrade i.e. purchase from any version of Lightroom 1,2,3,4 to the latest LR 5.

  • I have had Aperture since 1.0 and bought every upgrade.  Now I want to transfer the software to my new iMac but I have to enter the original Serial number that I cannot locate.  Any ideas what i can do, please?

I have had Aperture since version 1.0 and bought every upgrade.  Now I want to transfer the software to my new iMac but I have to enter the original Serial number that I cannot locate.  Any ideas what I can do, please?

The original serial number should be in the box with the installer disk.
If you cannot locate the serial number, contact Apple for a replacement serial number. You will need to provide a proof of purchase.
See: Pro Application Replacement Serial Numbers

P.S. The menu command "Aperture > About Aperture" will show you your Aperture 3 serial number on your old mac, but not the previous serial numbers.

  • Adobe Premiere crashes brand new 27" imac!

What is it with Adobe and letting their customers pay big bucks for software that doeasnt work.
Why do you guys let the customer pay for the research and development?
Can you imagine what its like sitting in front of a computer for 8hrs a day that you are unable to use.
How do I explain to the boss why im sitting bone idle 8hrs a day for coming up to 6 weeks now after he's
just blown £5000!!!! on crap that doesnt work!!!!! Ive spend near 4hrs on the phone to adobe with no one
having any sense of urgency or the need to keep their customers happy!!!  My estimation of adobe has
gone from the filmakers best friend to biggest waste of time on earth! Adobe wont even offer any compensation!!!
I am completely disgusted. Just try to imagine what its like sitting infront of
£2800 worth of software and that I cant even START on the work load I have. This is the single
most frustrating and rediculous thing ive experienced.

Thank you Jeremy. Its kindly appreciated.
I have purchased CS5 Master Collection on brand new IMac i7 solid state hard drive
Premiere causes the mac to instantly crash in a very random irregular manner, never the same thing.
I can work for a little while, import files and play from timeline, but its so unstable that if you click on anything,
it instantly kills the machine, completely dead. other times it blacks out the screen and continues to play the
audio but no control over the machine at all, even after the audio stops, i have to force quit the mac.
Other times the mac info screen appears saying you have to hold down the power key to kill it.
sometimes it doesnt crash for several mintues and then bang!
Ive have had many online conferences on adobe connect with several kind and professional adobe personnel for whom Im
most greatful, allbeit , it has taken way too long to get anywhere with this issue and adobe.
Ive spend hours following a very long list of fixes; permssion repair and preference delete etc etc.
    but still no service.
Thank you Jeremy for your kind assistance.
    Yours
    Vaughn

  • Adobe Premiere CS6 'Create new Trimmed Project' Crash with .MXF files

Yesterday I started to back up all our students work, and found that the "Create New Trimmed Project" no longer works in CS6 with .MFX files.
Adobe Premiere CS6.0.3,  crashes when I try to "Create New Trimmed Project" under "Project Manager"
This only happens when there are .MXF files in the Sequence.
As we use Panasonic P2 cameras at this university, this is a problem, as this is the format that they shoot in.
As a test I have made a Project with only one .MXF file placed on the sequence, and it crashes.
This happens on my Macs and Windows machines with Adobe Premiere CS6 .
Adobe Premiere CS5.5 works fine, and does not crash.
    Unfortunately I cant save a CS6 project as a CS5.5
If you don't have any .MXF files to test this,
You can make your own .MXF files by exporting any video file as "MXF OP1a" or "P2 Movie" Format, (the Preset setting is irrelevant - any preset will cause it)
    P.S.
Using "Collect files and Copy to new Location" under "Project Manager" works fine, but does not reduce project size as much.

I also discovered this behavior last summer.  Unfortunately the best (lame) answer I could find was that "Some formats, such as Long GOP based media files, cannot trim media, or add handles."  Source:  http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premierepro/cs/using/WS1c9bc5c2e465a58a91cf0b1038518aef7-7c72a .html
That's not very specific, but in my case at least (and it sounds like in your case, too) .MXF may be another file type that cannot be trimmed.  If I remember correctly, the answers I got from others was that they were able to export fine.  My machine (and maybe yours) has an issue that nobody else seems to have encountered.  So none of the prescribed remedies allowed me to move forward in this regard.
After much searching, asking and several suggestions from various Premiere communities, I gave up and moved on.
Use Remove Unused and then Collect Files and Copy to New Location.  At least that can help you if you have a lot of clips.  In my case, it didn't help much, because my very short clips were edited from very long takes, so as Premiere sees it, not much was "unused".
Be aware that "Project Manager does not copy and collect After Effects compositions that are dynamically linked to an Adobe Premiere Pro project. Project Manager does save the Dynamic Link clip in the trimmed project as an offline clip, however."
Wish I could offer you more.

  • How to change \Adobe\Premiere Elements\12.0\Encoded Files location to another drive?

Hello. I am using Premiere Elements 12. I am not able to burn blueray disk because I have insufficient disk space. I am using SSD drive so I need to move Adobe\Premiere Elements\12.0\Encoded Files location to another drive. How can I do this?

    tolppa
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12/12.1 running on? For now, assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit....
In the Premiere Elements 12/12.1 Expert workspace, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disc and set the location for the category
    named Disc Encoding.
Please let us know if that works for you.
    Thank you.

  • Adobe CS on a new iMac?

So I purchased a new iMac and the salesperson said that since this new iMac has an intel chip, my old software, Creative Suite version 1 might not work on this new computer. The salesperson suggested I go and purchase the latest version of CS. I have not attempted to install the software as I am a bit weary. Does anyone know if there is truth to what the salesperson said?

The salesperson isn't totally wrong - just not totally right. Actually CS1 (and even earlier) ran just fine on Intel Macs prior to Leopard. Because CS1 was written while Apple was still using the PPC CPU, the programs run in emulation mode. They start significantly slower, they require more RAM (due to the emulator), and they run somewhat slower. But is CS1 completely compatible with Leopard?
If you were going to be running CS1 on a used Mac with Tiger I'd say the salesperson is all wrong and forget the advice. However, Leopard made significant changes under the hood which broke or partially broke some programs. Photoshop 7 was one - but that is one version older than CS1 which I never upgraded to. Rather than ask here, I'd suggest you head over to the Adobe forum and ask the experts there.
