Want to change from Single app plan to Photography plan. As usual 24/7 chat closed.

I currently have Single App plan but want to change to Photographer when renewal date comes around which is 21st Nov 2014. The 24/7 support it seems is never open. Anyone any ideas. Does one simply cancel the old and start afresh.

When do I cancel and restart? My year commitment on Single App is up on 20th of this month I believe. If I cancel old and restart new today, will it wait until the final day of agreement to actually make the change? Am I going to get stuck somewhere in neitherland and not be able to access PS? What about time differences around the globe? I live in asia at the moment. Why is it so hard to have a simple change procedure like you have for upgrading to Complete CC?
You guys must know how frustrating this is. Seriously, why are you so remote from your customers? What is wrong with email? I can talk to companies like Amazon for example and have a reply to a simple email in hours, why not Adobe??? And going by what I see on the web, the issue with your chat facility has been ongoing for months. What is going on with your company???

    I currently have a single app membership paid month-to-month (29.99) for InDesign. I want to switch this to the annual option paid monthly ($19.99) but can't seem to find a way to do it. When I manage my account and try to "Switch Plan" the only option I am offered seems to be the full Creative Cloud membership.
    Is there away to switch this without having to cancel my current membership and signing up again?

    I just switched my plan from single app Photoshop $19.99/month plan to the Photoshop & Lightroom $9.99/month plan because I don't use everything on the larger plan. My original renewal date was in either June or July. Will I be charged fees for changing my plan today?

    I checked your account information. No, you will not be charged fees for changing the plan. You are continuing to use the same product but at a cheaper rate. Enjoy using the software.

    Alternatively, you could use software like appZapper or CleanApp. But I normally just drag the app to the trash.

    Technically the Music, apps are not hers but yours as your Apple ID was used to get them. And as a consequnce they are tied to your Apple ID.
    If she creates her own Apple ID she will need to get her own music, apps, etc...

    I moved from Japan to Australia. I need to change from Japan App Store to the Australian App Store. I get the following message every time I try using My MacID which was set up in Japan: "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the Japanese iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store." At one point... by which path I do not remember... I was instructed to created a new ID. I fill out the new ID forms, but the address is rejected each time... quite confusing. Does it want a new name? But it says I cannot use an apple domain (tag?) even though I guess it has to be an apple address... ? So I have iTunes crdit cards purchansed in Australia, can't spend in AUstralian iTunes Store, get directed back to Japan each time, and can't open a new ID... What am I doing wrong?     You must have a separate Apple ID registered in the other store along with a valid bank-issued charge card in the other country, and a legal billing address in the other country.
    Sorry... But... You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
    You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country..

  • Silly question, maybe. I want to change from Verizon DSL to cable, but cable company doesn't supply router.  can I use my Airport Extreme as wireless router?

    We currently have the following wireless home-network configuration, powered by Verizon DSL. 
    2 macbook pro’s
    1 emachine
    HP PhotoSmart 6122 all-in-one printer
    Apple TV
    Apple Airport Extreme Base Port A 1408
    Westell 7500 router
    Thinking I’d get wider wireless coverage throughout my 2 bedroom home, I purchased the Airport Extreme. It is connected to the router via its sole usb port.  The result was only a tiny increase in speed, and no increase in coverage, so I don’t know why I have it.
    We now want to change from DSL to cable, thus ditching Verizon.  Our new cable provider supplies the cable box, but no router for wireless networking. 
    Here are my questions.
    Can I use the Airport Extreme (AE) as a wireless router? 
    If so, how should I hook it up?  Should the usb cable go from the AE to the cable box, and all the other devices connect wirelessly?
    If not, how should I be using the AE to some advantage?  What can I get out of the investment?

    What I wrote has nothing to do with what the cable company charges for their installation. And, usually they will help with the router setup even if you supply your own router. I don't know what they will charge for the modem.
    Note that you need to get just a modem. You don't want a modem/router combination. That will make using an AEBS effectively nearly impossible. You will need to ask specifically for just a standalone modem, and that you will supply your own router.

    I want to change from the US iTunes store to the Australian iTunes store but i have to spend all of my iTunes credit first, what the **** will I spend 60 cents on?  Should I have purchased unwanted music to the exact value to change country?  Why cant I just agree to wipe the credit? it's less than one dollar.  Why can't I just transfer it at going market rates (or even cent for cent) when it is only such a small amount and I would make a profit?  I don't want to start another iTunes account, it will only lead to problems with what I have already purchased.

    You cannot.
    You cannot use another countrys itunes store.
    You must be physically locates inside the borders of a country to use that countrys itunes store and a credit card issued in that country with a valid billing address in that country.
    The owners of the distribution rights of movies/music/etc differ by country.  These distributors decide who can sell their content in that country.
    Buy from another source if your countrys itunes store does not carry somehting that you want.

    Just thought I'd post the resolution:
    1) Simply changing the Disc Media Type in the ProjectData folder does nothing. The dual-layer setting causes it to change from a value of 4 to 8 (guess that's no surprise), but iDVD still treats the drive as a single-layer drive and so you can't create a disc image based on a dual-layer disc.
    2) Turns out the folks from MCE sent along, after requesting it, a patch to enable dual-layer support in iDVD. From what I can tell from the .command file, it looks like it's probably just the HardMac.com hack repackaged for convenience. The don't offer it for download, but if you call or email them, they'll send it.

    Want to change from vanilla kde to kdemod - feeling chicken here 'cos I'm on a production machine.
    So what is the best way?
    If I do a "pacman -R kde" I get a bunch of dependencies. Suppose I get rid of those as well (haven't dared trying), do I just enable [kdemod-core] for x86_64 and reinstall kde and dependencies from above?

    Might want to add the extragear repo in addition to core. Then you can just install kdemod or kdemod-minimal or whatever floats your boat. I imagine being an Archer you'd want to work up from minimal. Only suggestion is to back up ~/.kde4 and ~/.local and maybe ~/.kde if it exists. It really isn't a big deal switching over. I've switched back and forth up n down quite a lot, and problems nearly always are a result of one of the aforementioned folders, and can be resolved by starting fresh (ie killing those folders or using a different account to test) and moving stuff over from backups. Dependency issues are usually not very difficult to sort out. Just remove all kde-related things that are directly tied in to kde (ie amarok and vlc you can leave), and install.
    Other than that, the chakra/kdemod site gives good instructions on being sure you don't have anything screwed up, but I'm sure a long-time user knows the RTFM by now
